Went in to have 2 diamond rings, 2 diamond necklaces, gold ankle bracelet & 3 wrist bracelets cleaned & diamond jewelry inspected. Bought at Kay Jewelers but a different store. Walked in was ignored at first, then a female asked what I needed. No hello.. nothing. Told her what I was there for, put my jewelry in basically what I would call a ice cube tray & she cleaned my items, inspected & that was it. Terrible job of cleaning my jewelry, diamonds in my rings were still dirty (foggy look) went home & cleaned them myself. We browsed while waiting, their were a couple of items I was interested in (ring & necklace) but after that kind of treatment decided not to buy from them. This is the most unfriendly Kay Jewelers store I’ve ever been to, no greeting upon walking in, no conversation not even a smile, it was like I was bothering her or she didn’t want to be there. Another female employee was there as well, her demeanor was exactly the same. I will not be returning to this location. I’ve spent a lot of money at Kay Jewelers & they should be treating their customers better than this.Will be checking out a different store, hopefully it will be a different experience.
Jan, the manager, was professional & patient as an engagement ring was selected. Covid protocols in place too. Beautiful jewelry in a convenient location.
I came in looking for earrings of a certain kind. The one’s that weren’t available in most jewelry stores. I waited to close to Valentine’s Day but Jan came up with the plan. Since there weren’t any earrings available he recommended custom made and if they don’t come in I have an empty box and Kay’s jewelry bag and You can give her that.....
Was told that my ring could be shipped overnight for a fee. After purchasing the ring was then told it wouldnt beshipped for 3 weeks. Sounds like bait and switch to me. Very disappointing
Worst experience I have ever witnessed inside and over the phone with a jewelry company. I would highly highly advise taking your business somewhere else

By far the best experience on purchasing an engagement ring! They took their time and weighed all of my options I was looking for in a ring. The manager even assisted in my purchase and I couldn’t be happier. I will definitely be back. I would highly recommend.
I went to buy my wife something for our anniversary and really didnt know what I wanted to get her. The whole staff was absolutely fantastic in showing me a variety of different ideas. I didnt want to be cheap and Im not made of money but they were very patient with me in my quest and ended up getting a nice bracelet that didnt break the bank. My wife was very surprised and cant wait till our next anniversary. So to all the sales people THANK YOU! Youll be getting more of my business in the future.
Went with my wife this afternoon to take her bracelet to be repaired. Walking to the door my wife tells me I have to go back to the truck. On the door was a notice saying even people with concealed carry permit are not allowed in the store with their weapon. We have spent well over $20,000.00 through the years, and today that will all end.I have strict rules that I have to follow to carry my weapon concealed. Cant go into certain places, cant have a drink when carrying, etc. I have carried over 25 yrs and thankfully have never had to pull my weapon. If that day ever comes I am well trained from military experience and the many days spent at the range.Good luck Kay Jewelers in the future, because the only people that will be carrying a weapon in your store will be there to rob you. You have let them know by your sign that its safe for them to do what they want.This will be posted on social media as well to let everyone know that you are taking away the second amendment rights of anyone legally entering your store.
I went in the store in a t-shirt and sweat pants. One employee looked at me but didn’t say anything, I approached a counter and another woman asked what I was looking for . I said a men’s bracelet. She then says oh well you should be on this side, these will be much cheaper. I look to appease her, and go back to what I was looking at originally. She then asks well what’s your budget, are you sure you want something from this area. I said ma’am I am a nurse and make good money, then her tone changed. She wanted to show me the best of the best . I gladly left the store . I’ve seen them profile multiple people as well on different days . Especially someone who has a lot of tattoos, or isn’t dressed the best .
I drive from Sarasota just to work with the wonderful staff! Anytime I have an issue or need advice they are quick to rectify or answer questions...Tom is so great with listening to your needs and the other staff are great to give their input etc. Ive purchased several pieces of jewelry for my entire family and will continue to do so!!
Well, my daughter was shopping for a Mothers Day gift with her 2 kids she was in scrubs for she works at a Dr.s office and she has tattoo-the joke was a sales person (women) who I will not name took one look at the tattoos and said no we dont carry diamond earrings. So, she went across to the other jewelry store and bought $2,000 IN GIFTS. THANK YOU TO THAT SALES PERSON WHO REFUSED TO HELP MY DAUGHTER FOR I LOVE MY EARRINGS !!!!!! And you lost customers forever!!!!!!
I went in to pick up a ring that had been mailed from Jared in Brandon. Because the ring as the wrong size, i asked Kay to send it back to resize. They told me they dont send things out unless they were purchased there. When i told them that was incorrect, they said our policy changedI called Jared, they called Kay, and the ring was sent back. A week later, i call for the status and they have no record. After ages on the phone, i get we sent it out, we havent gotten it back. Really think this place needs new management/staff. They currently dont deserve any decent business. Youd think employees dealing with such expensive items would be of higher class.
No Stars for Kay Jewelers!!! Watch out for their refund policy!!! My husband bought me a bracelet as a gift but the clasp would not stay closed. I tried to exchange it for the identical item but it was not available. I did not see another bracelet I wanted in the store so asked for my cash refund as the receipt read that he paid for the item in cash. The store associate said the only way to get a refund was for it to be mailed to me in 10 business days! Thats ridiculous! The bracelet wasnt that expensive that they would not have the cash available and it was late in the day. Needless to say KJ has lost our business and that of many others.

The woman there seemed like she would rather be doing anything else but helping us. No smile, no pleasantries whatsoever. Hopefully she was just having a bad night and doesnt treat others that way.
