I went one night for Kaldheim prerelease, and there were more bad feelings than good.The good: They did a neat experiment with drafting where they applied Commander Legends rulings to gameplay, so everyone had a Commander draft deck because Legendary creatures were so ubiquitous now.HOWEVERThe bad: I had one of the weakest decks of the meta that night and lost every game, largely in part because I was hazed for no reason. That was not cool. The people there irradiated the attitude of frat boys, and that isnt a good thing.The only thing that would bring me back ever is doing a legit proper Commander Legends draft. But Im not holding my breath.Side note: I wish I could make this rating 1.5 out of 5, but for some reason the system wont let me.Side side note: Please do not haze. It is not cool.

I just popped in for a quick visit. They were moving stuff around so it was hard to get to the comics. But guy was nice. Lots of gaming stuff.

This shop is amazing with good people that knows a lot about everything in both nerd/pop culture. In the 7 months Id been hanging out there they showed me Warhammer and Minecraft. I had a lot of fun playing Commander with Mez & Todd play group, go there and youll have an wonderful experience.

I stopped in this shop on my way to Anna Marina Island to find some comic books and games. This place packs a lot into one shop with two massive TVs, the newest Xbox and PlayStation 5 consoles, Magic the Gathering, DND, comics and local artwork. They offer group game sessions and can order in pretty much anything you might want in the world of comics and games. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. Overall it’s a very chill vibe with local professionals.

Literally the best local comicbook store in the entire Sarasota/Bradenton area. Mez, the owner can literally get any game, comic, card game, or video game. If you’re a nerd lonely for somewhere to hang out and geek out, this is the spot. They have a 3D resin printer and do prints all the time. I love playing Dungeons and Dragons here! They play Magic the Gathering in commander format. They have Pokémon cards and are a CGC dealer. I’ve had Mez get hundreds of comics graded for me along with pressing comics. There’s not a geek corner left unturned here. My best source for Warhammer 40k especially. I can spend all day assembling and painting miniatures while enjoying times with my friends. Check it out, definitely worth!!

This is a absolutely amazing shop. The owner and staff are awesome and extremely helpful and provide a very friendly and relaxing atmosphere. This shop definitely gets a A+!

Edit: Owner has since reached out to us letting us know the behavior was reprimanded and would not happen again.People inside Joked about “not wearing a mask around the ladies” while being close to us with no mask. While we were inside seeing what the establishment had.

Everybody there is super nice and they sell top quality comics and cards! I very much enjoyed my time there and will continue to come again in the future!

First time at this place and it was awesome. Gave me a nostalgic trip down memory lane with the smell of comics and cards hitting me as you walk in and a group of people sitting at the table joking and playing a TCG.

Awesome shop! Great people running the place, and a great selection of a wide variety of games and game related stuff. The staff was helpful in helping me find what I wanted and have even gotten a hold of items I wanted for me. Give them a visit, they have a great selection of MTG singles as well!

This place is awesome! He’s always getting new stuff in and will try and find stuff you request. From comics to MTG to figurines there is bound to be something here for every nerd!

Mez comics has to be THE BEST comic shop in town! The owner is a great guy, always going out of his way to find collectibles your interested in not just comics. He’s even made a house call for me to drop off comics. I don’t know of anyone store in town that the owner does that. He trades and sells for very fair prices. If your looking to expand your collection drop by his shop!!

Found this place almost a year ago, and I must say David (the owner) is one of the nicest guys ever. Very informative when it comes to anything you may be interested in. He makes you feel right at home, and my family and I have come to consider him a friend. Not many places you can say that about. Please check his shop out for any of your childhood memories toys and games.

I think Ive been here enough to give it an actual review now.Staff are friendly and good prices for Comics and Cards (MTG, Yu-Gi-Oh and Pokemon.)They have a nice collection of Pop Figures.Its an adult environment but will welcome all kids and teens. We try not to cuss or talk about NSFW material while they are in the store.There isnt really any tournaments for MTG or other card games. So if youre into that dont expect it. I personally like it that way.If youre into MTG Commander you better bring something that will Black Hole at some point soon since the decks there are very quick to go off.If you want to play any other format make sure you bring enough decks for everyone to play with 😁I am usually there Fridays and Saturdays myself but with the current epidemic Maybe just Saturdays. I play Modern and have enough decks to supply up to 7 others people.They also have other board games and such that they have to play.But youre free to come by and Play games chat with the staff and hangout.

This place is great, Ive got so many awesome and hard to find vinyl pops, action figures, comics, and a ton of other goodies. Plus the owner is a absolutely great guy, best comic store owner Ive ever met. You Well not be disappointed, if he doesnt have it then he well find it for you.

Awesome place! My favorite comic shop. Every time I go, I find something new and cool. They even take trades too! So i like to take some old toys and comics I dont want anymore and trade them for new stuff. Mez (the owner) is a great guy. He made it a point to get to know me and keeps an eye out for anything that might interest me. No other shop out there like this place.

There was very little selection as far as comics go, and the person I’m assuming was the employee didn’t even bother to speak to us while we browsed. The selection may be better for gaming, but one shouldn’t expect much in the way of comics.

This shop is a hidden gem. David is so kind and knowledgeable. He can find and order anything youre looking for, and he has a wide selection of collectibles and comics across genres. The draw for me is his selection and interest in horror! Go check it out.

Knowing the owners I have a tainted view point, that said, professionalism in this category of business isnt common in my experience and I wasnt let down. They know there stuff and have some great uniques and the knowledge to back it up. If you are my type of geek or nerd this is a must visit for sure.

Kind people run the store and the prices are unbeatable for the area. These guys are here to support the community, not simply capitalize off of it. A wonderful store with truly considerate owners.

Mez has a great selection of comic books, action figures and different types of trading card games. I love it because the store is so organized + clean and were always treated very well when were there.

Mez the owner started this shop this past year and the shop has blown up. There is always new inventory coming in and you can bring in your items to trade. Mez offered Magic bulk boxes for $5!!! Just unheard of deals like 50% during Black Friday. You can buy, sell or trade just about anything, comics, cards, action figures, toys, etc etc. Most Funko Pops are also $5, just crazy crazy deals. There is also a weekly Magic the Gathering game play in the store. Just a great small, local business to support.

One of the most helpful dealers I have met with a collection that seems to grow by the day. Highly recommended!

Definately an awesome variety with great prices! We got over 20 comics and were very pleased with the friendly customer service. My family is from Kansas, and were definately coming back to Mez Comics next trip to Florida!

This place has become a 2nd home to my husband. Him and my kids, especially my son love this store. We have been coming here since it opened and the place is just great. Very kid friendly store, and the selection he has is top notch. The owner of the store is such a nice guy, very polite and friendly. You wont be disappointed with this store, and you would be crazy to go any place else. This place is so much better than the comic (well I guess you can call it a kinda comic store) shop in downtown Bradenton, the shop owner at mez comics actually cares about what his customers want and well get you whatever you are after. We have got so many things from here for my sons birthday and for Christmas, not to mention the hundreds (yes that is correct hundreds) of Batman items my husband has got from here. Bottom line this is a great store, with a great selection of merchandise, and the owner is a great guy. Like my husband says, this is the best comic shop this side of the skyway bridge.
