I would be willing to drive 45 minutes out of my way to shop here. Main Street Ace Hardware always has the items I need, the staff will help you find what is needed every time. The staff will help you get what you need for a project so you dont have to drive back and forth all afternoon trying to get it right.

The people at Ace are always there to help with out being overbearing. Every time Im in there I feel like they some how used a shrink Ray on one of the larger chain stores because they seem to have just as much as they do. I havent figured out how they do it yet but when Im there I always walk back to the tool section just to make sure they havent stocked any shrink Ray guns.

A great small town hardware with a surprising amount of stock. Everything from Craftsman wrench sets to cleaning supplies. Also a unique selection of employee made art pieces sourced from hardware!

Live this store. I drive 20 minutes to go here and avoid the big box stores. They staff is great. I call and ask about a product and when I get there they take me right to it!

I spoke with two employees and both were friendly and helpful. I got help from a young associate who didnt know anything more about my quest than I did. And you know what? Thats ok. We spent a short time reading labels and he noticed something relevant on a certain product label I had overlooked. Problem solved, item purchased and happy customer.

Everyone is always very helpful in finding what you need. Whether theyve got it in store or have to order it they always make the effort to make sure youre well on your way before you leave.

Small home town hardware store that has a little bit of everything. The customer service is wonderful. I can tell they are making an effort to hire college students. So a few fresh faces are manning the check outs. Experienced associates still walk the well stocked isles that we know is Bowling Green Ace Hardware.

Horrible experience. If you must go to an Ace Hardware, try the Wauseon store. We ordered a $500 Weber grill online “assembled” as free assembly is plastered all over their website from the BG store. Waited 1 week to get a notice it was ready for pickup. Drove 30 min only to find the most rude old man ever working at this store. Not once did he look up at me or my wife while talking and grumbling to the floor. We asked where our grill order was and he pointed to a corner in the back of the store to a box. You got it, it was not assembled. I asked what’s the deal and he began complaining that they did not receive credit for online purchases and that they would not assemble it for free and wanted $50 to do so. We told him to refund the money. I won’t go into it any further but all he did was complain about online sales and about refunding us our money. I am 63 and have knee issues and did not want to assemble it. Why does Ace advertise free assembly with online purchases? Well, come to find out the BG store is the only one that refuses to assemble grill free. FYI there was no other customers in this store all the time we were there. First time to go into this store and the last. Stay away from the BG Ace. I went online to Lowes. Got free assembly and free delivery with 2 days. Even a better price. Ace is NOT the place to go.

One of several business owned by the Kraft family of Bowling Green. This hardware store is a throw-back to the days when customer service and satisfaction was the absolute first priority for companies. The people working at the BG ACE are welcoming, friendly, and will eager to help. It is a rare thing to ask about any obscure need that the folks here dont know the aisle to look for it in.What is more, shopping here is fun. The store layout twists and turns through the ancient building and leaves you smiling. Poking through the racks of merchandise is enjoyable and even relaxing. You get ideas of things to do just looking through things.Also, there are always sales and clearance racks. Most any warm day of the year there are carts and tables outside to draw you into the store. More than a few times Ive picked-up handy items for pennies just by coming through the store.The ACE also has creations by store employees, made from hardware in the store itself. These items include Steam Punk style lights, chess boards and other artistic creations and it is worth passing through just to see those alone.Prices are entirely fair. You might save a few cents going to a national chain but you wont enjoy service or feel satisfied as you will coming here. The bottom line is that this is a well run and fun place to shop, and the people there deserve your business.

Got a blank key fob off Amazon and no one would cut it. Came here very helpful guy cut but said he couldnt guranteed it so it was free. Key works fine

Previously Ive received nice customer service at this location. Today I went to have a key copy made, as I have several times before for my pet sitting business. Today the elderly worker behind the counter looked at my key and blatantly said I aint cutting it. Thanks for the unintelligent reply and unnecessary rudeness. He wouldnt cut it because it says do not copy on the back. I explained my business and how Ive had no problem making key copies before for my clients at this location. The man rolled his eyes at me and didnt respond, just stared at me. I walked out and will have to take my regular business elsewhere.
