I had a dispute regarding some of the repair done on my truck. Tunex worked with me to resolve the issues. I am very happy with the outcome and pleased that Tunex listened to my concerns and resolved them.

We were on a trip from Montana to the SLC area and having engine misfire issues. I called the Tunex shop on a Saturday morning and talked with Brandon. He said get here ASAP and we will try our best. I took my conversion van for ac recharged and after job was done they left my vehicle on the side of the road behind the shop. When I went to get it it was unlocked and with the hood opened. I should have taken pictures. The ac wasn’t working after their service, took the vehicle back and Brandon told me it was a major leak in the system, however he told me that after he charged me over $200. I don’t recommend this place, it’s pretty expensive and it seems they just know how to do basic mechanics work.

As a female with no car mechanic knowledge it’s hard to know who you can turn to for repair work and have it be honest work and not be given the run around or told things that needed to be repaired that didn’t. I’ve found that honest work with Tunex. The mechanics, the owner Rob and manager Brandon have never failed to give me anything but straight answers. Never pushed me to get anything done and have always left that to my choice. They do great work and always get the repairs done as fast as they can. I can always rely on the guys at Tunex.

They managed to get me in, last minute, even though they were booked for weeks. Managed to fix my car in less than an hour. Very nice and very professional. Didn’t try to sell me anything or exaggerate what I needed to pay to make my car run. I recommend them to everyone in the area!

Alignment on my car was bad but these guys made it worse and bent my back wheel and steering wheel is crooked now...Since their alignment comes with 3 months of warranty they said thats all they could do...they wont fix it anymore.Brandon said theres nothing i can do for you.I was their customer for 6 years i will never go backAnd i wlll make sure none of friend or family members go there.

Ive taken several cars here over the years and have been quite satisfied. I feel that they have always delivered a complete diagnosis at a fair price. From my experience with other mechanics, they are also quite fast. Most issues have had same day return and I love that. No one wants to be down a car! My most recent experience also ended quite positively. I had a wheel bearing replaced last year. For whatever reason, it blew out again. I was scared to drive my car, it was making so much noise and was difficult to keep straight. I was horrified to discover that the 12 month warranty had lapsed by four days!! You can imagine my relief when Tunex offered to overlook the four days even though they would have to work things out somehow with the parts manufacturer. They fixed it right up in no time!

I had them inspect a used vehicle I was considering buying. They told me it would take about an hour to complete; about half way through, the manager called me and told me the true (and terrible) condition of the car, showing me what they had found.They only charged me half the price of an inspection, saving time and money and ultimately helping me avoid a major headache further down the road. I would DEFINITELY recommend these guys! Honest, fast, and knowledgeable.

They always do a good job with a six month warranty, they dont fix things unless they need to be fixed. The dealer told my daughter she needed new brakes, when she went to Tune they checked the brakes and told her they were good for another year.

We have had such a lot of work done by these guys on both our vehicles, and they have always impressed me with the quality of their repairs and the great customer service they render. Its a relief to know that Rob and his crew will be straight up honest about whatever I need done and not charge me exorbitantly for it. I definitely recommend you check them out!

Amazing place for any car service or repair! They are decently priced, and they always put you first instead of their service. If its cheaper to do a repair yourself if you buy the part, they will tell you that because they care about you and your needs. I have had all my vehicles there and have not had an issue or a disappointment.

These guys literally had an opportunity to squeeze 900 dollars out of me if they had felt like it. Another mechanic had tried to tell me my AC needed to completely be replaced for that amount. When I took it to Tunex for a second opinion they were upfront and honest about what the problem actually was and the fix was only a fraction of what I had been lied to about elsewhere! I will never trust my vehicle to anyone else in the area they are so awesome!!

I took my truck in for an oil change and tire rotation. After talking with the guy at the counter about the specific oil weight (5/20) required by my truck, he assured me they would use that oil. After they were finished, I saw on my receipt that they used a different weight. I asked them why and they just tried to convince me their oil would be okay. I dont care if itll be okay, they told me they would use my required oil. Then, to top it off, they didnt rotate my tires so I called them out on that and they said sorry and pulled my truck back in. They didnt charge me for it, but they didnt do it right either; they didnt cross the front to the back. They also put the lugs on so tight it took my pneumatic impact gun a long time to work them off after trying with the lug wrench as well. I will never go back. This has been bugging me since last year.

I have a 12-year relationship with Rob and his men. Moved to SLC 5 years ago, and still bring my cars back for EVERYTHING, including emissions. They are thoroughly honest, fair, fast, and they are great mechanics to boot!

Took my Jeep in here to have the trans serviced when i got it back the trans was growling very loudly I checked the fluid and it was super low I’ve had to add 3 quarts to get it full again I drove all the way to Ogden on low transmission fluid and now my transmission is probably way more damaged than it already was must be amateur hour over there very disappointed, I guess nobody checked the fluid level before giving it back to me unbelievable..

Called for a quote on a F150 for brakes, rotors and an alignment and was given a price of roughly $350. Called when it was in the shop saying they couldnt do it for under $550. No apologies, explanation or coupons. Never trust a quote from this dishonest shop

I changed my whole schedule just to show up on time to have them say Sorry, we cant get you in at all today. First of all, dont lie and promise things you cant keep. Secondly, please try to offer some way of making my problem better instead of giving me a dull look and saying there is nothing you can do. Third, why do you not have a scheduler that customers can use so this problem doesnt happen. Super unprofessional. Please, save yourself the stress and go somewhere else.

**Read if considering Alignment** I took my 1998 Volvo S70 into the shop to have the alignment done on my front two wheels sometime in NOV 2015 because they are one of the few shops in the area that can perform an alignment. Turns out that while performing the alignment they cracked my passenger side C.V. boot and then told me that the entire rack and pinion needed to be replaced. They presented this problem to me in a way that made it seem like it had always been there, but I believe that it could have easily been the technician trying to cover himself and tell his supervisor that it was always there. Ive never had to replace the power steering fluid in the 10 years of ownership of the vehicle, but within 4 weeks following my alignment I had already gone through 2 liters of power steering fluid. I took my S70 into the Ken Garff Volvo service shop three months later, and thats when they diagnosed that there was a crack in the C.V. boot that had filled with power steering fluid and corroded. This alignment from Tunex has ended up costing me a lot of time and $2,000 is my quote from Volvo to replace the entire rack and pinion. Im going to obviously fix this myself, but this is my review. I dont believe it was intentional, but Id warn people that they arent very skilled at performing an alignment, and would urge you to consider another place.
