The staff at Pioneer Boulder are exceptional, Lizette helped me out with everything I needed to complete my front lawn update! She was very friendly and was very motivated by showing me samples and giving me information on what products would best fit my project. 10/10 for customer service and for product quality! Would definitely recommend to anyone needing help with their landscape projects.

I own a business in Boulder and go to Pioneer several times a week. They are always quick to load and the location is super continent for me as a contractor. The staff is friendly and always try and help in anyway they can. I don’t get all the negative reviews (probably people who just don’t go often enough to know how this place runs very smoothly).

I came in to get some items to update my home’s landscape. As I was greeted by Sara fodge she was very helpful to get me to where I needed to be. As well as compassionate and very kind. I would definitely recommend doing business with this company!! Thank you.

Great selection of materials, and even better service, whenever I need help loading material, or any questions they take the time to make sure everything goes well. I am a contractor who is going to every rock yard around, and this is the best of the pioneer locations by far.

I recently purchased a large amount of mulch, Sara was very professional and knowledgeable about their products which made my experience at pioneer Boulder so easy and great! I would most definitely recommend doing business here, Sara was very helpful and kind, will definitely be coming back here to do my business!

I wasn’t sure what type of rock would look better for my new patio, I went in and was warmly greeted by Lizette Mena. After discussing the types of rocks we finally found the best match. Her service was amazing and I hope she will be there when I come to do my yard.

The service from the dispatcher/cashier to the loader operator was friendly, helpful, and quick. The concrete sand I came for was exactly what I needed for my patio project.

I had to return for a small amount of product and they were super kind and did not charge me for the small amount. Much appreciated, excellent business!

Thieves. Total bait and switch on prices. I went into the office to pick my delivery material and spoke to someone in the office about my delivery. I confirmed several times that I could receive the tow different materials in one delivery. He assured me I could. I called when I got home and they said, OH NO, your cots will be for two deliveries.

The website isn’t up to date so products you see aren’t actually available any longer. The displays at the actual place are also out of date and not carried any longer and customer service is just about non-existent. I’m remodeling my house and yard and so far this has been the worst part of all of it. So disappointed in every aspect of this company.

Jeremy, the manager, and Victoria were great. Found the last 2 packages of gray fireglass in all of Pioneers location. Have beautiful fountains too...considering!

We have gone to Pioneer in Boulder for years and they have been nice. This year we went to get mulch and were told by the lady that what they had was committed to contractors. They took my name and number and the name of the mulch I wanted and said they would contact me. The next morning at 7:30am I got a call that the mulch was in. I thanked her and said goodbye. Two hours later we went to get the mulch and she said they were out. I pointed out to her that she had called me and she said that I had hung up before she could say they were out of mulch. I was confused because she said the mulch was in when we were on the phone, but I asked her why she didnt call me back and she said she had already thrown the piece of paper with my number on it!? She was quite rude. I still dont understand what happened, but we will be looking for other places for our landscaping needs.

Gave me a pile of sand instead of tan breeze and wouldn’t give me any sort of money back. They said they don’t make the product so they can’t control the quality. They also charged me a second delivery fee on the new stone I ordered. I feel as if they only care about the dollars made and not the customers

My clients are so happy when I bring them cost efficient beautiful landscaping materials that make their homes gorgeous at a very affordable price.The tamps to hold down weed cloth are a fraction of the cost you would pay anywhere else.The people that work there are so cute and nice and helpful.They make you feel right at home.I love Pioneer!

Best place to buy landscape material! I am always in and out of there so fast as the employees works quickly to get me what I need. Victoria and Taylor were awesome with helping me get my delivery of mulch scheduled when I needed it. Very accommodating to my schedule.

You shouldnt have to rent a tiller in order to make store-bought topsoil into something you can use. But unfortunately thats what I had to do. I bought $1000 worth of their best quality topsoil (Planters Mix) for our new garden boxes and half of it was basically giant (soccer ball size) rocks of aggregated soil that were almost impossible to break up. You cant plant a garden in that.I talked to the driver who delivered it, then called them, then emailed them repeatedly about it. They all acted like it wasnt a problem. They said, Wait for it to dry out. It did dry out - then it was even harder and less usable. Nothing called planters mix should ever be like a pile of rocks.I would estimate that I spent a total of two full days of my life manually chopping up something like 11 yards of this stuff and then finally going to Home Depot to rent a tiller to make this stuff work.The best offer theyve made is to refund me for 4 yards. How is that fair? I would rather that they would have just taken it away.Previously, Ive gotten lots of useful stuff at this place, which is why I still gave them 3 stars, but they need to learn a little about customer service. Just be real about it - you sold me something that was totally unlike the previous batches of planters mix Ive gotten in the past and they never even acknowledged that that was the case.Id love to get my money back - if only for renting a tiller on my own dime - but even more, Id like to get the 2 days of my life back that I spent dealing with something that I shouldnt have had to deal with.

Weve ordered from these guys in the past, and always had good product delivered on time and as described. I also just got off the phone with them to get some pricing and information on their soils. Since my current project is smaller - only about a cubic yard - I was worried they might not care as much about answering my questions, but the gentleman I spoke with was extremely helpful and knowledgeable.He asked what application I wanted the dirt for, and then suggested three options with lots of information about which would be best for what type of garden (and why), and it turned out a less expensive option would suit my needs perfectly. Super high marks to these folks for great service and professionalism.

I have lived and gardened in Boulder for over 30 years. They have a lot of nerve calling what they delivered top soil It is back fill. It looks like what a construction company would pay you to haul off. I cant believe I paid for this! I have a burm Im building and this will make for sandy drainage. That is all I can think of using it for; I will never use them again and Im telling everyone of my mant friends in Table Mesa to beware!

The staff was helpful in answering questions about amounts as well as working with me on delivery locations. I received a call the day before as well as when the driver was on the way. The driver was friendly and courteous. Overall, working with Pioneer in Boulder was a great experience.

Truly appreciate the service receive here staff are friendly efficient and helpful. On two visits Lamar has been quick to take care of my needs ina very busy packed office; a young woman on the phone as I walk in has also been super helpful and quick and clear in her suggestions and instructions. And i agree with another commenter: prices are very reasonable and quality high. Thank you!

Pioneer Sand is a bit off the beaten track...head east on Valmont, a jog block south and back on Valmont. Beautiful drive, stay to right at light. It is a left turn after 2 or 3 exits. Awesome people, great help, I can get help with most anything. Knowledgeable and helpful.

For your landscaping needs theres usually a store somewhere close buy. They have most of what your going to need and can order things for you as needed.

This supply field has enough selection to satisfy many ideas in the landscape. They have a large selection of mulch including many recycled and green options. There is also a large selection of rocks from pebbles to Boulders. Good price ranges so that everyone can afford to have a beautiful garden!

Great prices and service. I placed an order over the phone and they delivered it the very next day. Couldnt be happier.

We bought rocks, they gave us mostly dirt. Now we have to sort all the rocks out and have to spend more money getting rid of the dirt.

Pioneer refused to fix their error in the amount they delivered. The delivery cost is large so I am out quite a bit. I can come in and pick up some rock but avoiding that was why I ordered it in the first place.

Landscape stuff, what more could one want?
