Jeannette picked flowers that matched our color palette and style perfectly, and put together gorgeous bouquets, boutonnieres as well as table and ceremony arrangements. What a beautiful nursery right in town. I had a phenomenal experience here with the staff assisting me in my new baby bonsai. Will be bringing my mom here prior to mothers day! Highly recommend, best one Ive been too in the state so far. Everything is well taken care of and their selection is outstanding.
This shop was a pure joy to walk through, a large variety on species, from succulents, calathea, maranta, and many others. They have a couple of water features, a koi pond. You can tell alot of live and care go into growing these plants. As you walk through the selection you feel like you are outside, but you are walking through the greenhouse. I didnt interact much with the Staff, however the interactions I did have were pleasant. I will definitely come back whenever Im in town.
I can’t say ENOUGH about how niche/special/different-feeling this place is from the depersonalized experience one might get trying to do their gardening with Home Depot experiences/products. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and patient. They will walk you around and help you pick plants out, even pot them for you on the spot, and even help diagnose your plant if you bring it in with an issue. I have sworn off HD/Lowe’s garden stuff for life. Love supporting this local spot.
Paradise for plant lovers! Amazing selection of indoor, outdoor plants and flowers. I’ve been to many plant nursery around and I can say this one is the best. The prices are slightly higher than in many other places but reasonable. Also it’s a good place if you are looking for a planter. The staff is really friendly and helpful. I came on Saturday and there were plenty of customers but it’s still possible to keep distance as there is plenty of space around. Recommended!
This is my favorite place. Its lovely and serene with knowledgeable, helpful staff. Theres a wide and interesting selection of plants plus other goodies. For me, its worth the higher price for the quality and environment. Plus, its local! Better than grabbing plants from a hardware store.

I was really impressed with the quality and selection of plants here. The guidance I received from store employees was helpful and they were very knowledgeable. The best part was that they potted my new plants for me in the pots I also bought there! Yes, the prices are higher than your big box stores, but the overall quality of plants and employees far outweighs those stores too. I will definitely be a returning customer!

I have purchased around 7 plants from this store and always have had a great experience. Selection is absolutely phenomenal and all plants are very healthy. I also like that they always have some new options whenever I stop by. I have only asked questions about a particular plant her once and even with it being 5 minutes before close (sorry!) they were happy to help address them. Prices are a little high, but you get what you pay for both in quality of product and service/knowledge base. They have always been willing to repot plants for me as well. Love this store and will continue to shop here for many years to come.
I absolutely LOVE this shop, it’s the cutest plant shop I’ve ever seen! Plus they always have the most unique plants and planter pots you definitely won’t find at a Home Depot or something. The staff is always helpful, and this is honestly the best store when you “want to get away from it all” because of how peaceful it is inside! And I love my “string of pearls” I got from there!

I really wanted to like this place but theres no one ever available to answer a question, and almost everything I got from this nursery has been a problem in some way (though the stuff that was outside tended to be fine, not problematic). I highly recommend visiting though since its so gorgeous.

We love this place! This is the third year in a row we’ve gotten our tree here and it’s such a fun place to visit. We couldn’t bring our kids here due to the pandemic (they were sad to miss out on seeing the koi ponds, Lindy the parrot, and the beautiful plants), but can’t wait to come again. My husband recently had flowers delivered from here and they were amazing. We will come back again as soon as possible!
So so SO good! First of all, let me just say that you could come here just to get lost in the beauty of the greenhouse/indoor plant area. It has two koi ponds, an artificial stream running through it, and plants of all kinds just grouped together everywhere--its gorgeous. I spent over two hours here (oops) because 1) it was just so beautiful and relaxing and 2) I was getting a lot of really valuable help and advice picking out houseplants for my new apartment! I was asked about my apartment and its window situation, and afterward was helped multiple times with picking out plants of different types and sizes that would do well in different areas of my apartment. Then, I was helped with choosing pots of the right size for each plant, and they actually potted my new plants and even drilled holes in the bottom of pots that didnt have drainage for me!So, it was amazing service all around. But the real star of the show here was Patrik, who was paged overhead to help me get my new gorgeous potted plants to my car. He very quickly realized--as I did not (forgive me Patrik and everyone--that the huge potted monstera I bought and had put in a tall legged planter was never going to fit in my Mini Cooper. At this point, most places would probably shrug their shoulders at my stupidity and leave me to fend for myself by calling an Uber XL and then having to come back and get my car--basically I thought a disaster was imminent and I felt like a moron and a pain. But Patrik rolled out the company van and offered to not only drive the plant to my apartment behind me, but to go through the toil of strapping the huge potted plant into the van and weighing it down with bags and bags of soil so that it wouldnt tip over. I could have NEVER gotten this plant home safely without him, and his kindness in bringing it home and carrying it up my apartment steps for me will never be forgotten! Thank you Patrik!Final Note: Okay, it was a teeeeeny bit pricey. But in their defense, I did buy 4 medium sized plants WITH pots for each and one HUGE plant with a huge standing planter, so I knew I was getting myself in pretty deep as far as cost goes. Was I still a little sticker shocked by the $400 I spent? Sure. But thats mostly on me. Yes, Ive seen cheaper sansiverias in my life, as well as cheaper monsteras, but they were also considerably less well cared for. So, I say its totally worth it!

My Daughter gifted me the most beautiful bouquet of flowers for my Birthday ! It has been 4 days and they are still absolutely gorgeous ! Flowers dont usually last too long but these, THESE ! FLOWERS ! are so fresh and healthy I am sure I will get to enjoy them for another week atleast ❤ ...huge pretty pink roses, purple stock, yellow star gazers, pink star gazer, snap dragons, mini yellow roses, some beautiful colorful fillers, what looks like a soft purple blue and white bells, and some others I am not sure the names of . All of them are just Beautiful . Wrapped in brown paper with a big pink bow 🎀 !
Beautiful place but those prices are just predatory. Even for Boulder. There is zero reason for any of their prices to be anywhere near that high.Why did I waste my money buying four 4” nursery pots here? How on earth did you figure it’s acceptable to charge $4 for a 4” plastic nursery pot?

We just bought our Christmas tree during the snow storm and it is beautiful! We bought the Canaan Fir and it is full and the smell is the best I’ve ever had from a tree. It’s currently drying in our garage before we bring it in and our entire garage smells of Christmas. I was very pleased with Natasha and her friendly customer service. I can be a tough Christmas tree shopper because I want everything untied and pulled away from the others. She kept a smile and remained helpful throughout my long decision process. A great Christmas tree shopping experience. I was also surprised at the reasonable cost of the trees. I was expecting them to be more expensive compared to the farm tree stands nearby, but they were close or maybe even a little cheaper. I would recommend checking them out for your Christmas tree!

Nicole and Sarah are they best. When I was looking to plan a small bachelorette party during the days of COVID they not only delivered, they knocked it out of the park. The bride had the best time and other the other gals did as well. The flower arranging workshop itself was very informative and only reinforced how much we love S&C. Can’t wait to attend a holiday wreath making workshop!

Wow, had such an unexpectedly great experience! The kids loved exploring around inside and even got to feed the fish. Like a little warm oasis in the middle of winter. Just for that the kids already want to go back.Then I was going to purchase a plant along with a pot, and they offered to transplant it and put a bow on it! Susan did a fantastic job, couldnt have asked for better service. Super highly recommend this place if youre in the market for plants, flowers, or just a cool little warm place to walk around.
Sturtz is a fabulous local florist and greenhouse. They have been serving the community for years and have a large and diverse clientele. They cater to the seasons and have a great selection for each time of the year.There is a substantial variety of indoor plants, cut flowers, annuals, perennials, Christmas trees, and garden essentials and then some. It is a one stop shop.The shop is a charming, attractive and appealing. It is fun just to browse.The staff is knowledgeable, friendly and helpful.I have been shopping here for years and would recommend it to anyone.
Cute little shop. Beautiful selection. Ugly downright mean energy from the staff. I have never felt so unwelcome in a place of business. I mean HORRENDOUS customer service. We had not been in the shop more than 10 minutes when one of the staff members brushed past me rather forcefully and perhaps even on purpose and did not excuse herself or apologize. I had planned to report the employee at checkout but was very surprised at the response we received at the counter and decided it best to leave a review online everywhere I can. Throughout our visit the only acknowledgment my husband and I received (besides the physical contact) was at the register and only when we asked to be rung up. When we asked to be rung up we did not get a direct response from the woman behind the counter who was very busily tying a bow. She did not even look up at us. Instead she directed another woman to ring us up. My husband and I left feeling really uneasy. To be honest if we didn’t need the flowers we purchased for a gift we would have left empty handed. There are tons of places to purchase flowers from. Some real gems in Denver and Longmont! We left this place asking ourselves if our experience was so awful because we are people of color. We could come up with no other explanation. This was a very ugly experience and we will not be back there again. My intention with this review is to shed light on what is going on there with some of the staff. I don’t know if any of the people we interacted with were the owner or manager. I certainly hope not because the tone is set from the top! This experience is an unacceptable way to treat other human beings. An unacceptable way to run a business.

Great selection and decent prices but everytime Ive gone there and asked for help finding something its as if I have inconvenienced them. I like to support local businesses but the customer service is disheartening. Its not that hard to at least pretend you want to help your customers.
I recently got married in June and Becca did the flowers for our wedding. They were INCREDIBLE!! I got so many complements throughout the night about how beautiful all of the flowers were. I highly recommend Sturtz and Copeland and thank you to Becca for helping to make my wedding perfect! :)
S-C staff are so nice and the flowers re gorgeous! Mine is a funny story! My friend from Italy sent me a surprise bouquet of S-C flowers for my Birthday. The morning of my Birthday I was in a class and turned my phone off. I received text messages all day but was relieved to not receive any phone calls. I did not realize my phone was off until the next morning! My poor friend in Italy wanted to maintain the element of surprise and stayed up late at night to meet me on Skype to see my reaction. She was angry and disappointed but said nothing to me about the flowers. She reactive rather classically Italian by writing bad reviews on Google and Twitter. Next morning when I received the bouquet I received my messages from the S-C staff wishing to clarify my address which my Italian speaking friend had been confused with. After the comedy of errors was sorted out, all was well with everyone on both sides of the Atlantic. S-C staff were lovely and kind and understanding throughout. Thank you S-C for making my Birthday so special!!
I have mixed experiences here. Some have been quite nice but the last two were pretty awful. The last couple visits the interactions were very condescending. I had a friend care for plants while I was away and one of them was on the brink when I returned. It was my favorite! The woman helping me felt annoyed with my questions and overall I felt Like I was interrupting her. The shop was out of the product suggested to help revitalize the plant, but she offered to give it a bath IN IT if I waited. I purchased a new plant, a pot, etc. all adding up to over $50 and then she had the nerve to charge me a couple dollars for the bathing of the plant...with the product they didnt have...while I was a repeat customer (obviously). It was jut overall so unpleasant. Half the time I feel welcomed + the other half Im bothering people. On the plus side, they have a nice variety of plants, flowers, etc. and it is a local business which is awesome + theres a 50% chance you will get someone super friendly and nice to help you. They are knowledgeable but you must be kind to customers! Especially ones who come back...because eventually they wont. The owner is very nice + she took pictures of my girls and I a couple times-- while shopping around.

The staff here was so wonderful to work with at such a difficult time. Having them design flowers for my mothers funeral was a difficult task but they were so compassionate and caring - listened so carefully to my wishes. I cant thank them enough for a beautiful tribute to my mother, all the way to the butterflies - thank you so much !!
Amazing selection of foliage. I bought a Fiddle Leaf Fig tree from them in 2015 which was maybe 3ft tall and now it’s at least 14ft high ... Great selection of flowers and trees ... Very knowledgeable staff ! Highly recommend !
Sturtz & Copeland provided flowers for our wedding this summer. We wanted both cut and planted flowers. Becca did a fantastic job of bringing my bouquet vision to life and Marie helped us create two huge French gardens that we can continue to enjoy. The design team and delivery staff were very professional and easy to work with. And the greenhouse is just plain fun to visit. Highly recommend.

Amazing greenhouse with a great selection and outstanding staff! I went in for my first visit today to pick up some new office plants and the staff who helped me were so knowledgeable and helpful. They helped me pick out the perfect plants and got them potted and ready to go incredibly fast!
We worked with Mandy on our wedding flowers and she was incredibly talented, professional, and responsive. She helped make my (sometimes poorly articulated) vision into reality and the flowers looked absolutely incredible!! We could not have been happier with her design and she gave us the confidence not to worry about anything leading up to our wedding day!
This is my second time working with Sturtz and Copeland, and I have had a wonderful experience each time. I dont remember who I worked with the first time, but they went out of their way to show me the arrangement via text as well as did an amazing job of putting it together over the phone. This time I worked with Stephanie who gave me excellent advice on the second arrangement. I highly recommend getting your flowers here!
I love stopping in here just to browse and buy. The shop has a wonderful variety, magical pot selection, and a very friendly staff. Not the cheapest but worth the cost.
This is by far the best florist I have ever been to. The designers are always great and unlike shops that just sell cut flowers, they have an amazing showroom fully of plants and fountains, even in the winter months. I go in a couple times a year and its nice to see a new and refreshed showroom every time. Dont be scared away by prices you see online, go in and ask a designer for help with your budget, they do amazing work.
This place is heaven for me. I drive all the way from Denver just to come here. Its like walking into a tropical jungle but everything is for sale. They also have an amazing variety of unique cut flowers in their walk in cooler. On top of all that everyone who works there is extremely knowledgeable and helpful, they all seem happy to be here.
I have used this provider for years. Excellent product, but what happened to us this past week end was such a nice surprise. My mom lives out of the delivery area, and a young lady by the name of Lexi called to let me know this, but....... she also offered to hand deliver my moms flowers the Saturday before Mothers Day. Every Memorial Day, the good people of Sugar Loaf have a 4-day garage sale to make money for our volunteer fire department. Sturtz has graciously donated flowers to this effort for a number of years, and well be forever grateful. Thanks to Sturtz, our outdoor plant section is always colorful and attractive. We especially appreciate Roxy, who bothered to come to our garden tour so she could see what grows at various altitudes and advise her customers accordingly. Ive received a number of Sturtz arrangements myself, and theyre always beautiful.
I came in with a picture of the garden bed that needed some love. The woman helping me helped me to pick out flowers and plants to compliment the space, drew a diagram of how to organize them and gave me a few tips to keep them thriving! Ive been to shops that can be a little rude if you arent a master gardener. I had the total opposite experience! She was thoughtful, helpful and never made me feel belittled. ALSO, she did it under what I said my budget was.
I have had nothing but great experiences with Sturtz and Copeland. Seriously knowledgable staff. Super friendly. And their store just feels so good! They are my #1 go to for gardening, house plants, and flowers (although I go to Fantasy Orchids for my orchids).
Heidi did an amazing job making the most beautiful floral arrangements and bouquets for our wedding. We did not know anything about floral arrangements going into the first consultation, she answered all our questions and offered many ideas for us to choose from. The venue looked amazing after she was done with it!

As someone who kills all the plants that I come in contact with, I was very impressed with this place. I love plants, despite the fact I cant grow any, and my apartment was in desperate need of some greenery, but fake plants just dont do it for me. Walking in, its beautiful. I was truly amazed. Its like a jungle in there! And the staff is amazing as well. I picked out some plants and I talked to one of the ladies who works there. She helped me decide which plants would be the easiest for me to keep alive. Since Im a serial over-waterer, I was able to take home a fern, which I love. So far, all the plants I got are alive and well, and I havent seen any bugs or diseases from or on them. The advice the ladies here gave me have allowed me to keep even a little desert plant alive, which I normally would have drowned a while ago. I will definitely be returning!

Customer service sucks.I spent a good bit of time on the phone arranging a deliver after I was quoted a price. Spent the entire time giving out info on delivery location, notation to be inscribed on card, arrangement, etc, then asked to wait while they checked to see if they even had what I was asking for to start with.Then I was told the price would be another 20$ from what I was quoted.Wasted my time........
I went to Sturtz and Copeland for my wedding, and they were great! Becca helped me pick out beautiful flowers and centerpieces, as well as fresh cut flowers for my cake. They did a spectacular job--would highly recommend.
Complete Failure to Perform as Promised. As a result of trusting the information provided to me by the Sturtz & Copeland website and order confirmation - after changing plans, planes, and cars; I arrived to a family Thanksgiving dinner expecting to see an attractive Floral Centerpiece. Instead, I found that nothing had been delivered. I immediately left the dinner, purchased flowers at a local store, and delivered what Sturtz & Copeland had failed to deliver.The next day, I received an email from SC asking if I would like the flowers delivered... asking if I wanted the Thanksgiving Centerpiece Bouquet delivered the day after Thanksgiving... because obviously SC wasnt open on Thanksgiving day...The depth of ineptitude and conceit on display in the email was impressive. The voice mail left the following day wasnt as great, but I especially enjoyed the conversation with Connie the same day. Evidently, Connie believes that it is intelligent business practice to assume the customer will correctly assume the hours of operation of her shop despite the SC website and order confirmation information...Truly, SC should work very hard to maintain their presence in Boulder; with this level of incompetence they would surely fail miserably attempting to break into any new markets.

Im an out-of-towner who planned a wedding in Boulder. Sturtz & Copeland was a preferred vendor of my venue, and after working with them from afar, I completely understand why. I worked with Heidi. We had one phone call and exchanged a couple of Pinterest photos, and somehow, with just that little bit of background, she managed to completely turn my vision into a reality ... perhaps more importantly, within my budget. She came up with fabulous combinations that combined aromatic herbs and succulents with seasonal flowers and fantastic colors for bouquets that blew me and my guests away. Flowers can make or break the vibe youre going for, especially on your wedding day, and I am so grateful I trusted Heidi at Sturtz & Copeland to make the magic happen. I highly recommend her and the company to anyone whos looking for a hassle-free and affordable, not to mention beautiful, florist for any occasion.

Took ALL DAY LONG to deliver which was already annoying BUT - when I called to ask about a delivery time, the lady was really snotty and rude and wouldnt give me a time. Funny how they treat you like garbage AFTER they have your money. Mine was a 150 dollar order also. She didnt even ask for the name or delivery address to even OFFER to give me a time frame. Jerks. I will spend my money next time where the business remembers WHO they serve.
