I went in to get my lobes redone as I thought they were closed. Mo Bowman was AMAZING and tapered them along with my nose back open and gave me jewelry changes. She also pierced my partners helix and was quick, professional and knowledgeable!!! I love this place.
I originally had a bad experience with a specific piercer at this location and the piercing manager, Liz, quickly called me the next day. She was very nice and assured me my experience was not up to their standards, apologized, and offered me a refund on my deposit. She was very professional and kind and I really appreciated her effort to fix the situation ! The only reason I’m giving four stars is because of the original experience.
The website was very easy to use. I made my appointment with no issues. The website messed up my friend’s appointment, but she called and they were super helpful. I got a septum piercing. The service was very professional. The piercer was nice and made it hurt less. The whole thing was very fast and easy. The equipment was clean. I highly recommend this place.
I went in to Tribal Rites for some help with my nipple piercing because the ball fell off the bar and I was greeted by T (sorry, I couldnt hear your full name through your mask!) and he was so sweet and helpful in finding me the right piece to fix the issue! Youre the best!
Tribal Rites is amazing!! I’ve gotten multiple piercings from Jason and have loved every single one. I recently had to get an MRI, and on I went to visit Jason on Monday 8/16/21. Jason was very understanding and helpful with this process. He helped me remove and reinsert all piercings, though it wasn’t a pleasant experience, pain wise, Jason made it very manageable by maintaining conversation throughout. I would absolutely visit Jason at Tribal Rites again. 11/10
I’ve come here to get my Tragus and cartilage plus many jewelry changes and each time I am very happy with the outcome. The guy who usually works the front desk (I’m pretty sure his name is Thomas) is super friendly towards me every time I come and knowing he works 7 days a week I really respect his grind. They are always efficient and helpful. Would 100% recommend this place
Ive been coming to this shop for a couple of years now for tattoos and piercings. Each experience has been nothing short of exceptional.Taphas, the counter man/tattoo apprentice has helped make every appointment be stress free and manageable.Jason has given me several piercings which he made all quick, precise and nearly painless. Every employee I have dealt with is pleasant and experienced. I see myself using their services for the foreseeable future.
Super impressed with our service today. Taphas was very helpful in informing us to make a decision on what types of piercings to do. They were great in accommodating a group of us, both with appointments and walk-ins. Jay did my piecing and I absolutely loved it! I loved the placement of it and it was quick and painless.
Had Jason put in my industrial that had been out a few months, he was quick and professional which was super nice. All the piercings he has given me have been great.
The people here are very rude, it’s like they don’t even want you there? I went in to buy a nose stud, I asked them to explain the difference between the studs and the guy just gave me an attitude. Also piercings are way overpriced, just because we’re college students doesn’t mean we all have a lot of money. Don’t go here at all!!!
I brought my teen daughter to get an ear cartilage piercing. The service was unfriendly and rushed. They told me I was not allowed to accompany her back (I assumed for covid reasons). The man who did it did not take his time, make sure it would be in the correct spot or treat her with any care. He was eager to go on break. It took less than a minute, was not in the place she had wanted, and she left feeling traumatized. It was a horrible experience and she ended up taking out the piercing. I do not recommend this establishment! I do not write poor reviews but I could not let this go without warning others.
Taphas and Jay are AMAZING! My piercing was fast, easy and the shop is very clean. They were a delight to work with. Thanks guys!
Love the double piercing I got at Tribal Lol i yes! Staff cared about making my piercing just to my liking and was helpful through the entire process. Would totally recommend for piercings!
I got two forward helix’s pierced here at the beginning of March and they have helped me with any issues that have come up as a result of masks and things. They’re always around to help with questions and their staff is extremely helpful and friendly. I got my nose pierced with them as well a few years back and another cartilage done at another location and there’s nowhere I’d choose before them for a piercing. I recommend them to friends every time.
I got my first tattoo here and naively thought you could go to any tattoo shop and be happy with the results. First of all, the tattoo I got was on my hip, meaning I had to pull down my pants to get it done. The guy did not close the blinds to the shop when he told me he did, leaving my entire lower half exposed in front of the entire window for anyone to see as they walked by. As for the tattoo, he pressed too hard into my skin, making the tattoo blowout. Not to mention he was very rude to both me and my friend! Will NEVER COME HERE AGAIN!!
I went to Tribal Rites in Boulder to get my septum pierced. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Mo pierced my septum and did an amazing job, while also making me feel at ease and and comfortable. Could not recommend this place more to get pierced!
Great, timely service, helpful recommendations. I was in and out in 15 minutes, even though they were under staffed they were still incredibly efficient and made my first facial piercing a breeze!
Went in to buy an earring last weekend. The male worker (long hair and really tall) was incredibly dismissive and rude. He only answered my questions with grunts and nods and then walked away while I was talking. If you are looking for a positive shopping/ piercing experience I would not recommend this tribal rights.I will say tho the girl that was working was nice… so there’s that.
Tribal Rites is hands down my favorite place for piercings. I will only go see Jason for them because he does an impeccable job. Taphas works at the front and is always a hard working employee and is very kind. He consistently helps me with anything I need at Tribal. Andrew is also one of the greatest tattoo artists in Boulder that I have found. I would recommend Tribal Rites to anyone!
I got my conch pierced by Mo and I absolutely love it. Mo made the whole process easy and smooth and made me feel super comfortable the whole time. The piercing is beautiful and she did such a great job! 10/10 recommend
I have gone here 3 times. I had my septum and nostril pierced, as well as my nose ring changed. The septum was done well by a very kind man. The nostril piercing and nose ring change were both done by a taller long hair young man. He is incredibly unfriendly, will barely talk to you, and does not care at all about causing damage. He pierced my nostril and gave me a corkscrew piercing so tight my nose had to be ripped open some during getting it out. To ensure this did not happen again, I went to another store. They gave me a straight L piercing for my second nostril piercing, which I later decided to have changed here. This piercing should have been in no way, shape, or form difficult to remove, yet he managed to rip part of the piercing hole open more taking it out, then jammed the new one in. I have 9 piercings and have gone to many different stores, but have never had the absolutely horrendous service that you will get here.
I’ve gotten 2 piercings from this business and have felt so safe and comfortable doing it! I was able to tell them exactly what I wanted and ask any questions or concerns I had. Love this shop. Super friendly and welcoming!
So, this happened: guy was about to pierce my teenagers nose and he wasnt wearing a mask so I asked him, as he was prepping her, whether he was vaccinated and he said no. I asked him to put on a mask and he said he didnt have one. I asked him to please go get one and he said we dont have anymore. The manager was there and seemed completely indifferent about the pandemic and that his unvaccinated staff is putting their faces right up close to clients without masking. Very disappointing and irresponsible. Needless to say we left.
Taphas was super friendly and helped myself and my boyfriend get what we needed super quickly when their shop busy.
Ive been getting my piercings here for the past 2 years and they never failed to impress me with their work. The place is very clean and sanitized and the staff are amazing. Taphas at the front counter is super friendly and welcoming. He talks you through the whole process and is very honest about whether you should get the piercing or not. Honestly this is the only place i feel comfortable getting pierced by and would 100% recommend.
Super clean place! Taphas was really helpful and friendly
I had been wanting to get my nose pierced for over a year, and am so glad this is where I did it. The piercer was beyond kind and interested, and genuinely cared about my piercing, which isnt always my experience with piercers and tattoo artists. Go in with confidence, this is a great place!
Awsome place, spent many hours here with a guest artist but have enjoyed the conversations with the resident artists. The guy behind the counter (sorry I suck with names) took excellent care of me, grabbing lunch, feeding the meter for me. Much above average customer service. Thanks so much, looking forward to coming back in September.
Beautiful shop with friendly and helpful staff. Jason did a great job with my septum piercing and Taphas was super nice and hooked me up with a free bottle of aftercare cleanser. I highly recommend!
My sister and I are in town from NY and we wanted to get matching tattoos. We both have other tattoos and have a very high standard as to who we let put ink on our body. Right when we walked in the door we knew it was a good place, VERY clean and other tattoo artists and the front desk staff were awesome. Nate was AMAZING. Considering booking a trip back to finish my half sleeve with him. Alot of times people just tattoo for the money but his passion is unbelievable. To anyone in COLORADO or anywhere looking to get tattooed I would recommend Nate over and over. He made us so comfortable. Stayed late with us and made sure everything was perfect. He is very easy going but will make sure you get exactly what you want. He sat down with us and really listened to what we desired. Thank you so much Nate, good luck to you and everyone else in that shop. Hope to see you all soon!!!
It’s the best place to get a piercing! The staff are so professional and friendly especially Taphas he’s the best! I got two piercings and it wasn’t painful at all. They’re amazing and I’m definitely coming back again!
I come here for all my piercings and am always so impressed with the professionalism and knowledge shown by all the staff! Taphas at the front counter always walks me through the jewelry I’m getting and the piercing I’m getting done. I have been pierced by both Jay and Jason and I would recommend them to everyone I know. If you’re looking for a piercing or tattoo from an establishment that is clean with staff that are friendly and make you feel as comfortable as possible Tribal Rites Boulder is your place!
Fast and easy. Always great service
My girlfriend and I both got pierced and had a great experience! Highly recommend
Store was very clean. Staff were having fun with each other and were very professional and knowledgeable with my piercing. Great atmosphere 10/10 would return
Taphas, Jason and Andrew are the crew! Very nice, funny and professional. Great jewelry selection and they helped me with all of my needs! Great place to visit!
The people at the boulder location on the hill are awesome! I went to get three piercings with them and they took great care of me. Everyone is super friendly - the guy at the front desk helped me pick out piercings and gave some good advice on them! The piercings themselves were quick and painless - I got two lobe piercings and a helix! Overall great place to get something done!
Honestly this is the only piercing shop I feel comfortable going to and I trust them with anything they are super clean sanitized and professional. They are very honest and will let you know if they could actually pierce the piercing you want or not and help you with each decision. Taphas is amazing and friendly he was so helpful He talked us through everything explained each step.I am such a scaredy-cat but honestly they hype you up in anyway they can and assure you that its fine. As Taphas once said. “ it won’t hurt as much as your ex”😂. Honestly the best support system you could need.
They made me feel super comfortable when getting my first cartilage piercing. I was very nervous, but they made me feel welcome and safe. They clean the jewelry about 15 minutes before the piercing is put in. They tape down your mask so you don’t have to take it off, and they clean every surface before you sit down. 10/10 would recommend getting a piercing here.
They told me to come in for an appointment and then said they were busy after having time for me i spent 30$ there to get nothing. Horrible service. Horrible shop. Not sure how to respond as I dont write reviews. The money i spent was on a cab getting to this spot with info i couldve been told on the phone. Waste of time money and life.
Got my septum pierced here by Jason a few months ago. It was so fast and painless and healed great so I came back to get my new jewelry. Taphas was super helpful in making sure the jewelry worked with my hair/skin tone and Jason switched it super quickly. Highly appreciate these guys!
I really liked the piercer, Jay. They did a great job and I will definitely be returning for more piercings.
My wife got a piercing at this place and the piercings are uneven. She is very bothered by the unevenness and is contemplating removing them.
This is a long review so if you dont read it the bottom line is DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE. You will be better off literally going anywhere else.I hardly ever write bad reviews like this. This was absolutely THE WORST customer service I have ever received in my life. I myself work in customer service on the hill. I understand that working with college students can be at times frustrating. However, I was extremely respectful to these people who worked here and they were the RUDEST people I have ever come across. The guy at the initial front desk was extremely rude in asking me if I had an appointment. The guy that went to pierce my ear was extremely condescending and treated me horribly. I would touch it for a second to see if I liked were it was pierced and he was beyond rude. One other guy that as working there looked at me and said you again in a sharp harsh tone. When I had never spoken nor even seen him before.I felt extremely unwelcome and was close to walking out many times, yet I had a gift card so I stayed. I would never ever go back here. I would never let my friends come to this place. The guy also gave me ZERO after care instructions. He pierced my cartilage then was said done. That is so wrong to me I have heard many stories of people who have gone here and then got their piercing infected. My friend got her nose pierced and they also gave her zero after care instructions. The website in booking the appointment is also horrible. I went on to make my appointment and put my credit card information in then the website shut down. I tried calling to see if the charge had gone through and once again the people on the phone were extremly rude.I ended up taking my friends spot who they almost let get her nipples pierced when she was obviously intoxicated. They proceded to take her to the back look at her topless then tell her, her nipples were too small.I ended up taking her appointment only to realize when I came home I had in fact been charged for an additional appointment earlier. I would have known this if the people on the phone were nicer and not so short. These people were horrible they act as if you arent worth their time. The price is extremely high for such horrible service. My ear wont stop bleeding and it would have been much appreciated to get any after care instructions.DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE. Absolutely horrible service.Edit: The owner reached out to me in an extremely professional manner. He apologized in depth and offered for the employees to apologize also. I sorted through this experience with the owner and he worked on fixing this experience. I was surprised and happy with how this was handled.
Made my friends birthday really awesome :) 10/10
I go get my piercings here! They are so helpful with everything. From execution to follow up!!!
Tophas was awesome and super helpful. Jason was also super awesome and professional.
Taphas and Jason are so helpful and knowledgeable, makes getting a piercing easy!
I made a mistake but completely treated disrespectfully. Make sure you follow the 3 page directions.
I came in with an idea of what I wanted for ear piercings and Taphas was super patient and helpful with picking out the perfect jewelry. Jason was the piercer and I could not have asked for a more professional and calming person! Definitely the best experience Ive had.
Great experience with T today while waiting for my piercing. He is such a character and had us all laughing. Perfect person to help ease the nerves.
Taphas and Jason were very professional, awesome service. Will be coming back
During the time of COVID I felt completely safe in the shop. Everyone was taking the CDC guidelines seriously and Tribal Rites has always been super clean and professional. David was my artist and was very nice and answered all my questions. I thought the pricing was very fair and I love my new tattoo piece so much! The colors are absolutely perfect!
I would not recommend this shop to anyone!I had tried to book online for two of us to get a piercing each. I called the shop to make sure my confirmation for appointment went through as it had charged my card twice .They were short and rude on the phone and said just go to the website.Upon arriving, the first thing that was shouted at me as I entered the shopt was DO YOU HAVE YOUR MASK! as if Im unaware of covid (mind you I am an RN that is well educated on our certain situation). I had forgotten mine, so needed to go buy one, which is fine that was my fault. We walked in and never got a greeting, just what are you doing?do you have an appointment, which obviously we did? They look up the appointment and just stick jewelry in front of our faces. One of them then decided to say the one piercing was going to hurt and take a long time to heal. So then my friend had second thoughts about getting a piercing and then decided she didnt want to. Which we had paid for her deposit already. I would have left the shop the minute after I walked in if I hadnt already paid 30$ for the two appointments I booked. They were rude and rushing her to make a decision when we had two appointments booked out and hd plenty of time.THe wait took forever to just get my nose pierced and the TV on was BLASTING and the workers were eating food right there just spread out on the jewelry stand.THey were not inviting or supportive of anything and seemed to care less about the service they provided. THe piercer was also very short and rude and I would never go back to this place.Absolutely terrible customer service.
I made an appointment with Jay S. and even though the shop was a little behind that morning this man absolutely crushed it.This was my first dermal as well and on top of taking mad phone calls Jay was able to pierce a small flock of college girls, clean the entire area down to pandemic perfection and empathetically walk me through my neck dermal. I understand he’s prolly done more piercings to count but it means a lot that Jay still handles his patients with care, because for many people this can be scary or emotional moment. If you land a bad piercer it can leave bad memories too. I guarantee this will not happen with Jay. Over a week in healing and my dermal looks amazing.Super clean and professional. Love this shop. Thank you!
DON’T COME HERE FOR ANY KIND OF PIERCINGS. I have never been treated so rudely by a person in my entire life. I came to Tribal Rites because I heard that this was the best place to get piercings in Boulder from a local..that was far from the truth. I had initially scheduled an appointment to get my Tragus piercing changed & I had called earlier to see if I could also get a piercing during my appointment. The guy who helped me when picking out my jewelry was very short with me and my friend as we were deciding what we wanted. It seemed as if we were getting on their nerves for just being there. Jason was the one who pierced my ears and was the one who treated me terribly. He started to get irritated with me because I didn’t know which jewelry was for what ear (they were both diamond studs). I got the piercing I wanted which was fine besides him not really giving any warning. He said “breathe in and breathe out” and did the thing. But when it came to switching out the tragus he touched it for a second and said it wasn’t healed yet. I said that it had been a little over 6 weeks which I was told it could be changed. (It had actually been a little over 8 weeks) He said “NO. It has to be at least 3 months before you can change this” in a very snippy tone. I said “you’re kidding” as I was shocked and he says “Why would I be kidding!? I’m a professional” also in a very rude tone and I apologized because I didn’t know what else to do. I don’t understand how his attitude towards his customers hasn’t changed after seeing multiple other poor reviews about him. He may be good at doing piercings but he is terrible with how he treats and talks to his customers. I wish I hadn’t overlooked the bad reviews because they are true.
Came in for a nose piercing, and had an awesome experience! I was pierced by Jason, and taken care of by T at the desk. Both of them were so friendly, and I was in and out with no issues. I Will definitely be back!
Really quick and professional! Got just what I wanted and they seemed knowledgeable and precise
I had been contemplating on a nose piercing for the longest time. Did my research and decided to hit up Tribal. Was gonna go to Westminster, but Boulder was closer. Went in and everyone was very professional, especially with this pandemic going on. Side conversations were hilarious. Jason did my piercing and lets just say i was in and out within 10mins. He marked the spot, let me look and did the work. He was very kind and amazing! Will definitely be back for more. I have to say, the negative comments scared me, but Jason was more than i expected! Thanks a bunch!! Keep doing what your doing Jason!!
I had a really great experience last week at this piercing studio ! Everything was very clean and they have changed due to COVID-19 protocols very well and have kept the business running efficiently. I was helped by CJ and he was really pleasant and helped make the whole process quick and efficient. I have had no problems with the healing of my piercings and will most certainly go back soon to get more piercings !!
I scheduled my appointment online weeks ago and the day of my appointment got a call saying I needed to reschedule which was highly unprofessional. I called ahead to make sure they had the pieces I needed in stock and when I got there I was told they only had 1 of the 2 pieces because they never set one aside for me. I was then invited into an unclean piercing room with sweat from the last person still on the chair and when I mentioned it the piercer said nothing. I was changing out jewelry and the harshness of the piercer made it feel like a whole new piercing. Tribal Rites is highly unprofessional, unclean, and disrespectful to patrons. 10/10 would NOT recommend coming here!!
Taphas was great and Jason was an amazing too.
Theyre the best! I had a different shop in Longmont (not the other TR) royally screw up on my philtrum and give me questionable advice that ended with an embedded piercing; which Mo fixed beautifully and painlessly for me. Definitely wont be going to anyone but tribal rites from now on. 🙌
The guys who work here were absolute sweethearts and made the whole experience very easy and entertaining lol 11/10 would come back
Update (part 2): It was not mentioned in my lengthy review below but, my conch was pierced with a hoop. I was given the option, knowing having a hoop will be harder to heal but I liked the look more. Several months had gone by and it still wasnt healed so I was interested in getting a stud put in. I went to a local (Durango, Co) reputable tattoo and piercing parlor to pick out the stud. Then proceeded to go to a different shop to have it put in (the first store piercer was out). The very guy who changed it was awesome but thats besides the point. He pointed out that the orbital my conch was pierced with was way too big in circumference for how small my ear is. Also he was unsure of the gauge size so he measured the ring with some device that tells the gauge exactly. The gauge turned out to be in-between a 12 and 14. You know what that means, CHEAP jewelry. I highly recommend not going here if you dont want cheap jewelry, and a potential bad piercing experience.Update: Although I had some problems with my piercing, Mike responded to me and took care of the situation very quickly! He contacted me, talked to me over the phone as I voiced my opinion. He was concerned and handled everything kindly and made me feel more comfortable about my piercing. If you need anything - contact Mike he’s the man. He went above and beyond my expectations. Great customer service!Original review:***Tribal Rites gave me a traumatic experience. please read the lengthy review because i never want anyone to experience the trauma i went through1) piercing artist cleaned my ear then marked it and it wasn’t the right spot, so i asked them to move it higher. everything was great until they aggressively grabbed my ear and tried to put the needle through my ear but the piercer wasn’t strong enough so my ear was jabbed multiple times.2) they received a phone call during my piercing session and left the needle in my ear while answering the phone call. three to five minutes later she returned without washing her hands, changing her gloves, or doing any proper sanitation procedures. This was not my first piercing, i have multiple piercings and i have never had such a horrific experience
My daughter and I decided to get our first tattoos while in Boulder to make our trip together special. We went to Tribal Rites and Andrew was the artist we chose. He was amazing! He was so patient with us and especially with me since I could not decide what I wanted. He was honest about some of my ideas and steered me in the right direction. It was a wonderful experience and we both love our new ink! Place was clean and Andrew was meticulous and just a pleasure to talk to as well. Highly recommend! Thanks again Andrew!!!
I visited Tribal Rites and spoke with Jason Condon. He was very nasty, unprofessional and rude when seeking information about interest in navel piercing.
To preface, I have gotten multiple piercings prior to this at a professional shop in Chicago. My experience at Tribal Rites was far less professional or enjoyable. I went in to get a rook piercing, and I was only behind one other customer. The shop did not seem busy, but my piercer (who never introduced himself, but I think was named Jason?) seemed to be in a huge hurry to get me in and out of the shop. When I walked back in to the room, he did not greet me in any way; rather, he pointed me into the chair and asked which ear was being pierced. He quickly marked my ear, and without giving warning, pierced my ear. He never showed me any of the equipment being used in the process or the actual jewelry, which was unsettling. He engaged in no conversation other than an extremely brief spiel about aftercare, and then sent me on my way. Overall extremely displeased with my experience at Tribal Rites, especially with the expectations I had going in.
I just went into Tribal to speak with a piercer about my unhappy snug piercing :’) i met with Jake and he was so educated and helped me make the decision to remove it. He was patient with me and gave me many options about how to go about my piercing. I really appreciated his truthfulness and kindness. I would recommend him to anyone !!
Don’t come here for any piercing/jewelry needs.Just to start this off, I absolutely LOVE the Tribal Rites in Fort Collins. Chad did my nose piercing at that location over a year ago and it’s been perfect.I just recently moved to Boulder and decided to go to the Boulder location to get a nose ring switched out for the stud I’ve had. It was a quiet day in the shop and I was the only customer in besides 1 person getting a tattoo. I proceeded to tell Jason what I wanted and was only treated rudely. When Jason then put in the ring, he pulled extremely hard and it was pretty painful. He put the wrong size gauge in my nose even after I told him the correct size. (I wear an 18 and he put in a 20). He used an old and potentially dirty plastic bag to put my stud into, see the picture I posted. Then, when I went to pay I was going to use a tribal rites gift card (which I showed him before I picked out the ring), then when I went to pay with it he told me they don’t accept them. I then had to pay with card and wasn’t offered a receipt. Literally no good part of my visit here. I would rather do the hour drive to go to the Fort Collins Tribal Rites than come here again!
Very fun environment and peopleWe felt very welcomed and the piercing was quick and efficient but very well done.
Horrible customer service. We were looking to get a piercing done and begin discussions about a sizable tattoo.Unfortunately we didn’t get past the piercing conversation before we walked out. There is no way I would trust this place to do this kind of work.
Ive gotten a couple of tattoos from here, and thats the only reason Im giving three stars. Admittedly, this review is a little late, but I wanted to share my experience so no one else has to go through the same thing.I got a cartilage piercing here with a friend in the fall of 2016. The healing process hurt, as I assumed it would, but the pain never went away. I kept the piercing in for about a year and even tried switching out the original hoop for a stud, but the pain was still there. Finally, I gave up and removed the piercing altogether. Now, Im left with a huge bump (about the size of a pea) and scarring on my cartilage that still has never healed, even two years later. The jewelry the artist used to pierce my cartilage was way too thick for this kind of piercing, and obviously cheap because of how badly my body reacted. I have had six other piercings and none of them have ever reacted in this way. Im afraid the artist was very unprofessional (I never got his name) as he didnt take the time to get to know my friend and I or make any kind of conversation at all. He treated our experiences like an assembly line that he needed to get through quickly. Please do your research before you get a piercing so you arent left in the same shape!
Always a pleasant experience, my go-to place for new piercings and jewelry. Even when you walk in, there is almost never a wait time.
Getting a piercing in Boulder is tricky as a lot of places act like they are gods gift simply based on location. After a bad experience at a different shop, went here and was pierced by Jake. He had a great vibe, was quick, friendly, and made sure my piercing was in the right spot. Cant speak for other piercers there but he was great.
I appreciate the patience & expertise of the staff, but I wasnt asked about piercing placement (I didnt even realize we had moved from marker to needle) and Ive ended up wasting time and money on a piercing with a placement I dont like :/ if you go here, make sure you ask before you get marked, I guess.*Update. Ended up unable to be ok with the piercing, went somewhere reputable to get it taken out. Weirdly enough it just felt wrong to have a body mod that I felt I had my say taken away from. Your piercer should ALWAYS ask, people
Perfect. My wife and I got matching tattoos. Our artist was Tommy- talented, personal, professional, confident. Listened closely, asked questions, through out ideas and drew a sketch. Easily made modifications and got started. My wifes was a small version of mine and was done by another great artist. We are both extremely happy. Well done Tommy and Tribal Rites!
Frank is amazing! Ive referred so many people its going to start being tough to get an appointment! Thanks for all of your beautiful art Frank.
Walked right in and was pleasantly greeted by Jake & Jason. They were both very helpful with getting all my paperwork done. Nate fit me in before his first appointment and did an amazing job. There was not fruit involved in our encounter either. Thanks for a great experience guys! Well be back!
Ive had an idea of what I wanted for a couple of months now but I wasnt sure of the size of the tattoo. Andrew was incredibly patient with me in getting the sizing and angling right and I couldnt be more happy with my tattoo. It was also great to talk to Andrew and Frank as I got my tattoo done. This was my first one and it was just a great experience. As long as Im in boulder, Tribal Rites will be my shop of choice. Thank you so much guys!!
Although I’m happy with the placement of the two piercings I’ve had here, one developed a rather large keloid scar which I’ve never experienced before and the guy who did my piercings was so rude to me and my friend! I’ve been in the store a few times to buy jewelry and get pierced over the years and every time he acts a certain way that’s so rude! After I was there today I witnessed an employee walking in and loudly talking about how he was wasted the night before and was so drunk he doesn’t remember buying an ounce of weed. Definitely will not be returning.
I have only good things to say about this place. David Robin specifically. I walked in and was able to make an appointment for the next day. I told him what I was looking for and he was extremely realistic with the placement and angles that it needed to be. He did not trace anything he just drew it on my leg. He is truly an artist. I have gotten so many complement from his art work and I can not praise this business enough. I do want to remind people that I did get custom work and that custom as well as anything that is done well will cost more but in my opinion it is totally worth it. To have beautiful artwork on your body is a privilege to me.
Me and a friend were just passing through Boulder and spontaneously decided to get matching tattoos for her birthday. Tommy did an AMAZING job creating exactly what we wanted, even though we didnt have an appointment! His work is awesome, and he did a great job with the thin lines and details. Everyone was super nice and accommodating. Go there!
This place is amazing. Everyone I interacted with was helpful and friendly. I got a custom piece by Tommy. I sent him a couple references, he drew up a sweet design, and we discussed it (details, style, placement, size, etc). We got it done timely and perfectly. While tattooing we had great conversation, and when we werent talking LOR and awesome music was playing. He definitely knows his stuff (from equipment to multiple styles). I will definitely recommend Tribal Rites and Tommy to everyone, and will be back if Im in the area again.
I went in to Tribal Rites in Boulder on the advice of a few friends. I was not disappointed! Tommy was my tattoo artist and I couldn’t be happier with his work. The guy is a pro and an extraordinary artist! The entire crew was welcoming and friendly, even taking time to watch my progress and tell me how great it was coming along. I’d absolutely recommend Tommy and the Boulder shop to anyone looking for a clean, professional and fun shop for their next piece!
My 7 year old recently had her ears pierced. These guys were pros. Tyler was kind, funny, professional and skilled. He took time with her (and the 3 of us there with her) and did a beautiful job. Brilliant! So glad they use a needle instead of a gun.
Frank at Tribal Rites never disappoints! A great artist with a great personality and is so fun to work with. His tattoos are top notch!
Worked with Frank for my first tattoo. Highly recommend for anyone. Great deals and pricing.
Everyone was super nice. Thursday crew was awesome. Really clean environment, very professional workers.
Thank you Carlos Haas for making my time in boulder Colorado memorable!! On a road trip around the west and he fit my boyfriend and I in for tattoos as a walk in on a Sunday!! His work is wonderful and he is very friendly!! Probably the most thoughtful tattoo artist I have had yet!! Thank you again. Next time Im in boulder I know where to come have a tattoo done ;)
The best tattoo experience that I have ever had! I walked in as a walk in client. They were super easy to talk to and the environment was super comfortable. After talking for a bit and I had told them I had 16 tattoos in total, they asked to see all of them and then I showed them a really poorly done peace sign on the back of my neck that I knew was bad but all my friends kept assuring me that it wasn’t as bad as I thought. They made me feel less crazy by saying that it was a really poorly done tattoo & that they would do everything that they could to fix it. I was almost in tears by the time that I had looked at the fixed tattoo because it was SO incredible how Andrew managed to fix it. So not only did they fix the worst tattoo I’ve ever had and made it exactly what I wanted in the first place, Andrew also gave me the most amazing tattoo of a few mountains and matched it exactly to the style I like and kept it consistent with the style of my other tattoos. I HIGHLY recommend Tribal Rites tattoo shop.
Tribal rites is dope. Tophus and Jason totally helped me figure out what size my nose ring was after having it out for almost a year. And it didnt hurt when they put it back in. I was hella hyped when I left. Will definitely be back.
Ive just been tattooed by Tommy and he was amazing! I was a little nervous since the tattoo was on my ribs, but he was super understanding asking how i felt and telling me to let him know if I need break. He asked questions to make sure i was getting exactly what i was looking for. the finished product couldnt be any better.. i love love love it. Everyone in this shop is very professional and friendly and the shop just SMELLS clean when you walk in which is awesome. Id recommend this shop to anyone! GOOD WORK GUYS! :-)
After looking at the art in the portfolio provided there is no way i would get a tattoo from here. Blown out lines and colors not punched in. If you want the art that they will do thats great for you. For me however if I see your portfolio and see nothing but blown out lines and colors not punched in its a major down fall for me. Then when I explain what i want you tell me Im better going somewhere else because thats not what you do. If you cant do a good tattoo of your own style theres no way you can do a good tattoo of anything else.
