Great local coffee shop in Bothell. Sat down with my fiance to enjoy some boba tea, and our books and we loved the feel of the place. We will definitely be back. Great place to bring a book or laptop too as well. Many outlets

I loved the quiet and friendly atmosphere. They have a lot of space to sit and enjoy your goodies. The food was super good! I ordered the bacon breakfast sandwich on an Asiago bagel and an iced caramel macchiato. The sandwich was filling and tasty. The coffee was strong and a little on the sweet side, which I enjoyed very much. They also have milk alternatives 💚 I definitely recommend this place. I will be visiting again 😊

Its a small little coffee place that we were told owners changed multiple times. They have wide range of teas and coffee selection but havent felt the quality was good. Tried mocha and peach tea which were not great.

Sweet staff and high quality coffee, there’s plenty indoor and outdoor seating and even a study room for reservation. They also have seasonal drinks in addition to regular coffee. This is a place where you’d love to stay for the entire day. So far my fav in Bothell

Delicious food, lots of flavor options if you like syrups in your coffee, and lots of dairy-free options if youre lactose intolerant like me!Their breakfast sandwiches arent pre-packaged like a certain large coffee chain, so if you dont want cheese on your sandwich then they can easily make it without.Very friendly staff as well. I always make it a point to stop here for smiles and good food whenever Im in the area. Keep up the great work!

New owners. It has changed a bit in ambiance. The organic, bohemian, earthy, community feel is gone. The music was so quiet that one almost wonder why they had it on. True, you dont want it too loud but this coffee house is small sms had a problem with echo... you cant think for all the conversations going on. Loud, stripped of its previous personality and character...I wonder if theyve had similar feedback or if its simply drawing a different crowd

This is a two and a half stars for me. We loved going to this place when the original owners ran it cuz the atmosphere was awesome to just hang around, after the change(s) of ownership the place is just different. Further incentive for the current rating is that they have way too much food and too high of a price.

Pretty quiet place for a decent cup of coffee. The alki bakery apple fritters are awesome, they seem to only have them on Sundays though.

This used to be our favorite cafe until yesterday. Wed come here often and would spend $30+ every time. Yesterday we had several meetings scheduled and when we got there we were already in the middle of a conversation so obviously we wanted to finish that discussion before going in to get food and drinks, so we were sitting at the outdoor seating. After a little bit one of their snobby workers walked out and said you need to buy something if you are going to sit there I replied we are, we are just finishing our conversation. She then said well you need to buy something again I replied we always do, we come here often and were here yesterday. We are just trying to finish out conversation she then stated in a snobby privileged way well I dont know you and I open this morning so unless you buy something you cant sit here. Like you need to buy something...SOON! (then closed the door). There are SO many other ways she could have gone about talking to us and in a much more polite way! I understand that they want you to spend money to be there, I would never go somewhere to sit for several hours and not buy anything. We obviously didnt want anything after the way she spoke to us, so we packed up and went to another cafe and spent our money there. I own a small business and we love to support others in our community but if one of my staff talked to a client that way they would have been let go on the spot. That is unacceptable! After several phone calls to reschedule all of our meetings, you have lost several long term and new customers including the 2 people I was with when this happened. Non of us will be returning at any time in the future.

I have never had coffee this good since Egypt. I travel, a lot. This part of my life I find myself in Bothell, WA. If you havent ordered a cup of coffee from this restaurant, you are missing out on products that are so very clearly handled and made with love. The paninis are stellar, and no corners are cut when it comes to quality.10/10 Simply put, try anything and let me know how it goes. I challenge you to prove me wrong!

This is a very cute coffee shop! Its a really nice place to study. They have two rooms you can reserve for study groups. They also have live music on Friday and Saturday nights. Their coffee is delicious. I love their dirty chais. They also have a yummy assortment of pasteries. I love sitting by their fireplace and enjoying my coffee. I would highly recommend them!

I got a doctorate in this place. I really enjoyed their availability as I would spend hours here (of course getting some refills along the way). Full coffee menu and customizable sandwich menu - double meat, avocado, pesto sauce .. whatever. Many people have worked here (mostly students) in the ten years Ive visited but theyve all been peppy and helpful.

Good coffee. Thats the key to a good coffee house. Above all else, thats the anchor.The Den delivers. I can actually only speak to the cappuccino, but it was really good. The ambience is a bit lacking, but part of this, I believe, is due to the fact that they need to be able to convert the space to a live music venue. Still, I had a good spot in front of a gas fireplace that kept me toasty but not too warm. I had to wait a bit to get an order in and to get my drink, but it was an off peak time (typically less staff), and I think they just got a sudden rush of customers. Staff was friendly. Ill be back.

Two words: Breakfast Sandos.

Almost 2 stars but I like their tea and it definitely has that college coffee shop vibe. But the service is hit or miss and the food, though not too pricey, is a let down. The caprese sandwich had two tiny slices of tomatoes on a giant roll. And the balsamic was missing entirely.

Friendly employees but the cafe itself wasn’t very nice. It felt unclean; there were flies and dirty walls. Prices are high for what you’re getting.

Weve come here several times on a Sunday morning. I love this place! True form to a coffee/ cafe lounge. Huge comfortable leather seats to lounge in and great meeting nooks indoor or outdoor. The best part of this place they know how to make your favorite coffees! They use the best ingredients. The food... always delicious! And the prices are on point. Request please- they had this apple crostata that I dont see. The staff is super friendly. We live in the southwest so we travel for their service and coffee! Thats what matters!!! Very family friendly.

The breakfast sandwiches are, in a word, incredible. Perfectly cooked egg, not the rubbery overcooked ones you find at most places. Fresh vegetable slice (tomato in my case). Top-flight cheese, not some processed cheese-like dairy product. My bread choice was whole wheat and it was a delicious, nutty, and perfect roll. The coffee was also superb. The atmosphere is welcoming and we ate inside. Lastly and most importantly, the folks at the counter were friendly and on-the-ball. First time there and I will be back.

Im not a huge fan of their coffee but their hot sandwiches and fruit are smoothies are delicious. Use to be kind of slow but now they complete orders really fast. Good place for a quick bite during work or to visit with friends. Lots of room. Okay place to bring kids.

Eww. Food is terrible, ordered turkey cranberrys wrap and gyro lettuce was brown and soggy, presentation disgusting. Tziki tasted off. There was hardly any meat. Ordered a latte pretty sure I got ovaltine.

Awesome spot has all thing things you’d want. Espresso, bubble tea, chill rooms for group study, a fireplace and right across the street from the post office as well as lots of parking 😀

Nice ambiance, good coffee and pastries. It can get a little busy, but you can also rent out meeting spaces. The sandwiches are good too! Highly recommend their grilled cheese. Cant go wrong with their mochas either.

Everyone at The Den has been so wonderful to my co-workers and me! I work for a non-profit who is currently starting up a new clinic. We had nowhere to meet as a team for a month because our clinic was under construction and The Den donated a meeting room to our team so we could meet once a week for a few hours. This was a HUGE help to us! GREAT service, GOOD food, and EXCELLENT coffee! Thank you to Jenna and The Den team!

Staff are kind and helpful. I usually get their latte and it always comes out great. It can get pretty loud in here and it seems like the parking lot is always full, but I guess thats a good sign 👍🏼

Great coffee spot! They have a good coffee drink selection and yummy bubble tea flavors and mix-ins. They also have a good selection of treats and a menu for sandwich and wraps. They have meeting rooms you can rent out. They also have nights with live music. The dedicated parking lot is somewhat limited but it is really close to downtown Bothell and there are other nearby parking lot options available.

I went on the website the other day and it made a good impression so I decided to check it out. I guess I had a different picture in mind, but at least the place was cozy. Parking lot can be a bit hectic and can get full easily. I had a latte with hemp milk and Im glad they dont charge much for alternative milks. I liked how they served it in a relatively normal mug, not one of thos big, wide coffee mugs you typically see at a coffee shop. Good place for studying though, as everyone seems to keep to themselves and there is much room in the area.

The atmosphere is really awesome and is cool how locals can rent it for meetings or events. I come here every week and the workers are always cheerful. Great outdoor seating too where you can people watch.

I went on weekend and it was a quiet place to spend time. They dint have live performance when I visited. The price is reasonable and they offer coffee, snacks and few beer and wine collection. Overall it is a friendly place to hang out.

Fat Jerry was popping! I mean I thought I would have some for tomorrow but I ate it all in one sitting without fail. Yes, its almost a 2,000 Calorie sandwich. Yes, its unhealthy! Yes, theres much going on, within the sandwich. Yes, the sandwich is $15. Yes Yes Yes. Its so right and hits the spot! Best sandwich ever! Thank you lord!!!!!

Cute place, just outside of downtown area so theres parking available. Great service. Deducted one star because the croissant I got was...not a real croissant, but more of one of those croissant-shaped roll type things. Also a bit stale. Would go back but not for the pastries :)

Found by chance and so happy! The BEST breakfast sandwiches, offered gluten free on what seemed like homemade bread. Even our picky eater was happy! Excellent lattes, smoothie and service.

Your basic indie cafe. Some nice baked and iced stuff, plenty of room inside, including a couple nice meeting rooms for small groups. Quiet and cool inside. Only thing holding them back from a 5 is the kind of mediocre furniture. Good place to finish up a walk through old downtown

I have been here twice and really liked their bubble tea options. I enjoyed the live music a lot both times. And the fact that they do not hint you to buy more food / drinks if you are here with your laptop or book.

Nice and clean place. one of the few old buildings left in Bothell still hosting business. The staff is friendly and helpful. The drinks are not too expensive, but more expensive than other decent coffee places.

This place has the best apple fritters, and delicious coffee. Baristas are very nice and the space is welcoming.

Apparently the manager just quit and the place is in disarray...the absentee owner hasnt lifted a finger to maintain coffee and tea supplies and my favorite drink from the menu hasnt been available for a week. Someone forgot to go to the store. There are two 15 minute spots in their tiny parking lot...it took me 15 minutes to get tea...why have these spots? There are plenty of drive thrus around. Are they competing for that business? They should promote someone who actually shows up to work...Alina comes to mind. You might want to avoid this place for a bit... dont take this the wrong way, 5he working staff are fantastic!

Good coffee, I am not too picky, but I have always been happy with everything I have tried so far. We live nearby, so have had a chance to try several different things. The breakfast sandwiches are good as well. Usually we go in the morning, so I cant speak to the lunch menu. Theres lots of seating options and WiFi is available. There are small meeting or study rooms as well.

My wife and I tried this place recently, got some chai and hot sandwiches. The sandwiches didnt LOOK too exciting, but they tasted really good, probably the best Ive had at a coffee shop. The decor is a bit weird, could use some refinement, but still nice. Parking is kind of a pain, may need to park a couple blocks away around peak hours.

Lyons Den is what coffee shop should be. Comfortable, quiet meeting place to enjoy good coffee and food. There is a balance of mobile workers, business meetings, book clubs, students, and casual conversationalists. There is even a meeting room you can borrow.My only constructive feedback would be that it is time to rent a stream cleaner for $25 and clean some of the chairs. They arent to bad, but they may cross the line in a few months.

I normally stop here for a quick bite or a coffee in between catching a bus transfer. The atmosphere is great! Lots of seating and various types of seating as well.

Coffee is always pretty good here. Friendly staff and a nice environment too. I tried one of their breakfast sandwiches the other day and it was lacking though. $5 was way to much for the tiny thing they made.

A place apart. My family and I have made so many memories here, weve lost count. Best sugar free mocha breve in the state. Gluten free sandwiches, exquisite tea choices. Keeps all my critters happy. Even the ones who dont like coffee *yet*. Nothing wrong with being a tea drinker, nothing at all.

Great place! Quiet, friendly, plenty of space. Their espresso machine was broken today, but their coffee is usually great!

The scones here are to die for. I bought one a day old. Four days later I was licking the crumbs off of the wrapper, days later I was sniffing hopefully... The staff is amazing, the coffee and drinks great, but WOW the scones!

Quaint local coffee shop near a university. They have three reservable meeting rooms and also serve wine and light meals. New owners have refreshed the decor.Update 11/5/2017: The new owners have really given The Den new life. Its my favorite place to host discussion groups.

I went there 45 minutes before close to get some bubble tea and they informed me that they dont serve bubble tea so close to closing time. Now, if I had gone there 5 or 10 minutes before close, I feel that would be reasonable. But not selling something almost an hour before close (especially since there was nothing on their menu and no signs indicating that they were no longer selling bubble tea) is frankly ridiculous.

The Den is a great place. Friendly staff and good food! We will be coming back soon.

Nice place, good entertainment brought in priodically. Drinks and food are tasty. When I made a mistake on my food order and it had to be made over it felt like I was punished by being given a smaller replacement sandwich.

I love this place for its bubble tea options! Its the only good bubble tea in the area that a know of. They also make a mean Italian soda.
