Hat stores can be intimidating places but not Goorin Bros Hat Shop. The staff member was helpful, and answering all of my questions in a friendly way with a no-pressure manner. The store had a great collection of straw hats of different styles, and had the perfect foldable hat for me. When I made my purchase he steamed not only my hat, but the one my wife was wearing. It was a wonderful experience and I now have the hat Ive that Ive wanted for a long time.

Super friendly staff and large selection of amazing hats. Ended up having a hard time choosing between two hats. Had to choose only one. Highly recommend Goorin Brother if you are in the area.

SHOP ELSEWHERE if you are in Boston.Despite a city ordinance no longer requiring masks. Fully vaccinated, I was prevented from shopping at this location. No surprise there were ZERO shoppers at this location, even though, the streets were packed.The logic and non-existent science behind this is mind boggling. I feel bad for Ed Goorin and Goorin bros. I can’t imagine the pandemic was kind to them.Ironically, Boston Garden permitted 17,000 fans last week in accordance with the updated city guidelines and this shop denied its ONLY customer.FORMER CUSTOMER

I stop here every time Im in Boston because it really is a great hat shop. They have an excellent selection and the staff is always knowledgeable and willing to help find something that looks and fits right. They will even steam hats to fit you perfectly.

This joint is of the caliber of joints we sometimes walk into in life, spin a quick look around, and immediately feel full of that fear that the shop will someday close and all this amazingness surrounding you will no longer be available for purchase.

Great spot to pick up a hat. The staff were really helpful and welcoming. They dont mind you coming in and trying them on, they want you to have fun with the hats and if you like you buy if not thats all good! The interior is beautiful!

Went into this store to just browse the fedoras, but ended up taking one home. The guy helping me, Brent, was super chill and down-to-earth. He really made my first shopping experience here amazing! The other guy working (not sure of his name) was also really nice and chill. This place also gave me retro 20s vibes with the music and the old black and white photos, which I loved. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking at buying a hat!

Stopped in to check out some hats. Found something that I really like. Not finding the exact hat I was looking for. Little disappointing. None the less they have a great selection and the staff seems to be pretty well-versed in hats. The majority of the hats in the store are mens. Not that common in Boston. I ended up not buying anything but I do live very close so I can pop in anytime.

This store exceded my expectations. It doesnt have quite a large quantity of hats but the hats that it does have are made of great quality and they look absolutely beautiful. The staff was also very helpful in helping me find the hat that was perfect for me! I would definitely go to this store again and recommend it to anyone who is looking for a great hat store!

Bought my first flat cap today and couldnt be happier. Staff was extremely helpful yet gave me ample time on my own to sample their inventory. Store is somewhat small but very comfortable.

Already have five hats and if I lived closer or had more money, I might need a twelve step program. Staff is very accommodating without hanging all over you. Walk in bland, walk out styling.

Despite the somewhat grungy look, Downtown Crossing can be a fun place to visit. If you want to shop, check out Primark and Macys on Washington Street, as well as EB Hornes, a jewelry store, that has graced the downtown for decades. For lunch walk a few blocks and get to Chinatown for some outstanding and affordable authentic food. For dinner, try Davios or Teatro, both have great options and delicious meals. If your budget is huge stay at the Ritz, if it is average, try the new Godfry Hotel.
