I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. This place will have you stressed out, horrible service they try to persuade you to waste money on things you don’t need. I wouldn’t recommend buying a phone from here the phone will have problems even though you never dropped it. When customers write a bad review they beg them to delete it they are also liars.
I spent $14 on an iPhone charger that broke after one use. Literally whatever you do not get serviced from here. They fixed my laptop for a mouse issue and I got it back with the battery not holding a charge at all. And the mouse still didn’t work. They don’t do refunds for accessories so just do not buy them!!! Headphones and chargers here are awful they will break I don’t usually write reviews but I’m angry that my charger that I bought in an emergency yesterday does not work after one use. If you complain they will say it’s because you’re not taking care of it but you know what happened trust yourself.
Ive had 3 UPS packages delivered to Genius Planet in the last year. Each time, the customer service experience has been sub-par, but the most recent one has forced me to write this review. My package was dropped off at Genius Planet on 12/20. Unfortunately I couldnt get to it until 12/24. I gave the employee my ID and I confirmed the address on the package is the same as the ID. She goes and checks, comes back and says my package was not there. I double checked my email and she asked for a tracking number, which I provided. She went to check again and said it wasnt there. Another employee said Let me double check. I was at a loss. I asked the woman what should I do and another gentleman (who was on the phone) said Contact UPS and left it at that. Seconds later, the employee that went to double check came back with my package in hand. The woman originally helping me seemed stunned. The only thing that kept me from losing my cool was that it was Christmas Eve, I had other places to get to and this gentleman was actually helpful. At this point Id rather risk having my packages left on my front steps than have to go back to Genius Planet.
We went in to upgrade gigas and the owner gave us an attitude about showing us the phone because he already did the day before. God forbid we want to make an educated decision that would have actually put $20 more in his register. Workers are cool but owner cant be bothered after he sells u a phone that locks.

I was a little nervous about this place due to the location, but everything was great. Everyone that I dealt with in the store was great and it was super clean. Had to deal with them a few times over the phone as well and everyone was professional and answered all my questions. The pop ups ads were horrible on my computer and now it runs like new! Would definitely recommend this place to anyone having computer issues! Worth every dollar!

I typically use this location as a UPS Access Point for deliveries and so far their hours of operations have been corresponding with when UPS goes there to deliver. However on one particular Saturday, they were closed and UPS went there at 9:44AM; Genius Planet’s website says that their opening time on Saturdays is 9AM. Long story short, the delivery was unsuccessful all because they wasn’t open when their website said they should have been . If your website says you open at 9AM, be there at 9AM. I understand people might show up a little late and might not be ready to work exactly at 9AM but UPS made the attempt 45 minutes after the scheduled opening time so there is no excuse. I paid extra for Saturday delivery and because of this error, I couldnt even Get my package in the appropriate time frame AND I lose out on the shipping cost. And even if I wasn’t relying on a UPS delivery, this just shows that you aren’t open at the time your site says you’re supposed to be open which is misleading to future customers. I will never use this location ever again!Sidenote: It noticed in the previous review comment, the owner said UPS customers are ungrateful and we would rather go all the way to South Boston. We are not ungrateful however, if your’re not going to fulfill the entire full service & needs of being a UPS access point, then you shouldn’t offer this service. At this rate, I would actually rather go to South Boston if that means I know I’m going to get my package without any additional hassles.

Go here all the time to buy headphones, pay bills, Had my phone screen replaced here, and it worked wonderfully after etc... Nice people too but theres this worker whos on the phone talking personal calls all the time and doest pay attention to customers. she kept telling me to hold on then just started talking to other customers but besides that everyone else is friendly.
I have been dealing with genius Planet four 2003 before he opened up this particular store this gentleman is the best business man Ive ever met. I have nothing but good things to say about him I go to the storea I get anything I want if I he doesnt have he gets it for me also he has sort of personality makes you want to keep coming back and seeing him. Prices are fair and theyre very courteous they take care of all my computer and phone needs. If youre in the Dorchester area or Roxbury mattapan South end this is the place to be to get your computer and phone needs met. Five STARS

The products are great but there timing is terrible. I put my laptop in the shop 3 weeks ago and never got it back. Everytime I call or go in, the technician isnt there. Whos fixing my laptop if he aint there all the time?? Im in college and have no laptop to do my assignments which is very hard to work around!

Came here to pick up package from UPS Acess Point. Two workers, one was with someone taking her time for 20 mins and the other one was free but did not help at all and was using the computer. WHY IS THIS PLACE A UPS ACCESS POINT. Change location pls.

Complete waste of time..... I dropped off my galaxy note 5 to be unlocked and remove a Google acct. They had my phone for 3 days for me to be lied to about it being fixed.... nothing was done on the phone... and there was no communication... worst service ever... they told me it would be done at 5.... and nothing was done and the phone wasnt even there......worst ever......
