Good selection, but the staff was unbelievably rude. The cashiers yelled at us and other customers and just in general had a terrible attitude. Other staff blocked the cramped aisles and took their sweet time letting us by. Prices were fine, but I’d rather shop somewhere where I won’t be treated so poorly.

Solid liquor store. Staff is pretty helpful and a great selection of beers, ciders, and wines. Especially happy they get regular shipments of Berkshire Brewing Company beers. Pricing is fair too, but on the high end.

Pretty nice selection of everything, frequently tasting spirits, and kids get lollipops. I couldnt ask for more, but I have occasionally had confusing interactions on specific wine sub-brands and rare ingredients. The browsing is top notch and I always find something fun to toss in my cart. Ive never waited long to check out.

It was good. They were fully stocked. I was looking for a particular brand of wine and they only had the larger bottles and I needed a smaller one. The clerk started for that particular brand they only carry the large bottles. Other than that it was fine.

Love this Blanchards. My old friend Mike is the wine buyer here - he is incredibly knowledgeable about what he brings in. Example: tonight my partner and I are having Lebanese food and wanted to pair with a rosé... not only did Mike offer a good pairing for flavor, but he was able to suggest a wine made in Lebanon. Seriously - its that level of expertise and knowledge that keeps my coming back.

Hi - Long time customer, first time posting a comment here because I do not feel safe coming to your store these days. There are two checkout counters open (lane 3 and 4) where the customers have no option but to stand within a foot of each other in a rather confined space. There is a third checkout lane (lane 1) available, but its closed. Using lane 1 and 4 would provide lots of space between customers. I called two weeks ago to request this and was told you would look into this. I stopped by today to shop and when I mentioned this issue to three different people (...I repeated my request to three people at your store) and the response was essentially a shoulder shrug. So, now I am posting my request on here via Google reviews. Please respect your customers safety during these times and make sure they can buy stuff from you by staying at least 6 feet from others at all times, especially in the checkout lane.

Great selection and top notch customer service. Part of the adventure is stumbling upon rare finds and little known gems across almost every category of libation. A go to for discount wine in almost every varietal you can imagine.The staff are knowledgeable and honest. They will answer your questions or refer to a resident expert when they do not have a qualified answer. Which, to me, in a world where luke warm bs on top of disingenuous pc are the standard, is priceless.

Good variety and good customer service

I love going here particularly in Jamaica Plain. The staff are very knowledgeable, the selection is wide and the clientele make for an entertaining experience. I even got into a conversation with the cashier about my cell phone brand and he knew the make and model and all the tricks so that was a nice bit of humanity.

Many wines are not marked as being on sale so there is a bit of sticker shock when you think you’re about to get a 10% or 15% discount to discover otherwise. Needs better attention from management. I would shop elsewhere.

They have a very good supply of liquor. The workers there are very nice and friendly. Prices are good. They are in a good area, with parking in back of the building.

This is a little bit further than my local liquor store, but I always head to Blanchards when Im after something obscure and can rely on their variety. Worth calling ahead too to confirm availability, they do a great job with inventory and can always ensure what youre after is in stock.

I will drive/walk/ride past a million other places to get to this one. The selection is excellent and the wine specials bin is not to be missed. I routinely walk out with at least two bottles of pretty good wine for less than $20.00. It is well worth it the trip to Centre St.

Loved this place for local beer and liquor selections since we were from out of town and wanted to take some home. Prices seemed reasonable for the area. They had a local distillery in for tastings which was really cool. I would stop again if ever in the area.

Completely unprofessional.I moved to Boston only a few months ago and dont drive, so I hadnt updated my drivers license to reflect Massachusetts. This Blanchards has dealt with an influx of fake IDs lately, so I was familiar with the process of being IDed (per usual at a package store).This particular day I was checking out to buy two six packs and immediately let the cashier know I had an out of state ID, to indicate I was familiar with the extra process it took to get it checked. She proceeded to BEND MY ID IN HALF. She then took it over to the computer to scan the ID and came back and told me my VERY REAL ID was a FAKE. After I have been approved here many a time, especially since they notified customers that they had an influx.She permanently damaged my ID and treated a true customer that wasnt doing anything wrong in an extremely poor way. Not sure Ill come back here after this incident.

Though this is a fairly large store, it feels a little cheep (metal shelving, tile floor, turnstiles) and the selection tries to be too much of everything and so end up mostly re-offering the same thing the corner stores have. The tasting sign is often deceiving too.

Impressive selection including very new releases. Hard to determine what the criteria are for their stock but clearly very New England centric when possible. Some midwest microbrews but hoping they expand that part of their stock. Impressed that they have the new Caperitif (vermouth style aperitif) before most places in the US.

One of the few places I can find a good selection of Maine Brewing Co. I do wonder about how warm the store can get and the sun streaming in the windows over the shelving. Save the beer, its dying!

Marvelous selection of liquors (nips through handles), beers (cans through 32 ozers) and wines ($ through $$$), as well as drinking accessories (red Solo cups), and snacks (the smoked gouda is so... gouda! Dont hurt me). Add ample parking in the back and weekly tastings (generally Thursday or Friday from 5-7) make this place a must-try.
