I had to get an order in for a custom splatoon cake and they were so quick to take my order same day and had it ready right on time the day of the party.. it was extremely delicious, my mom who doesn’t ever eat cake because she does not have a sweet tooth actually complimented the cake!! She ate various slices. I will continue to order all of our cakes with J&D cakes. Totally recommend!!

I needed a special cake for my daughter’s baby shower to celebrate. They made the perfect, delicious cake. The expressions on the elephants’ faces conveyed so much love and compassion. All of the guests commented on how much they loved the cake both in terms of the look and the taste.

I ordered a custom cake for my mothers eightieth birthday from J & D Cakes. Daniela was very patient and helpful in guiding me through the design process. I tested several combinations of icing and cake. The decision was difficult as they were all soooooo good.Cake was completed on time and I was AMAZED by the results! Cake was beautifully done and tasted great! (Daniela has a special recipe for her frosting and its delicious!)I will always use J & D for all my custom cakes. Highly recommend. 5 stars plus!

I ordered a two-tier Mango Cream cake from J&D Cakes for my parents 50th Wedding Anniversary. First, the cake looked gorgeous and without giving much direction, Joel and his team created an amazing cake that totally surprised my parents. I kept getting compliments about how wonderful it looked. Then, when we finally got to taste it, it met all our expectations--a light cake filled with mangos and with not-too-sweet swiss meringue buttercream. Perfect! Though my parents live in Boca Raton, the venue for the party was in Fort Lauderdale. Joel delivered the cake himself and was right on time! Best summer camp experience ever! My daughter attended summer camp at J&D Cakes and she had such an amazing time! She is 11 years old and has been going to summer camps since kindergarten, and this has been her favorite one by far! The owners, Joel and Daniela, and everyone at the camp are so sweet and helpful! Each day the kids get to make a different project (cookies, cake, cupcakes, cake pops, brownies) and then they decorate them. I couldnt believe some of the amazing creations that came home everyday! They were beautiful and delicious! Thanks so much Joel and Daniela for such a great week! If I could give more than 5 stars, I definitely would!

My family and I have hired J&D for wedding cake orders on 3 separate occasions. Each and every time, they have exceeded our expectations. I would hire them again in a heartbeat. I went to J&D Cakes two days before my baby shower in desperate need of help with a collapsed cake I had purchased from someone else. The owners at J&D Cakes welcomed me in with open arms ready and willing to help me in any way possible. With a one day notice, they remade my entire two tier baby shower cake. I cannot express my deepest gratitude to J&D Cakes for not only creating an even better cake than the first one, but for also not taking advantage of the crappy situation that I was in. I will be using J&D Cakes for my next event and events after.

I had asked J & D Cakes for a special cake for our small wedding celebration and he came through with flying colors.The dark chocolate base and vanilla with strawberry topper was scrumptious! Our guests came back for more.

J&D Cakes did an amazing job in creating a Minnie Mouse cake for my daughters birthday. It was exactly what we envisioned and more. It had a realistic cartoon appeal and the flavor of the cake was wonderful. I am sure they can create anything you can imagine. It was spot on in ever aspect of the design.

Best experience ever. I had a cake made for my grandsons 1st birthday. The theme was Woodlands. I gave them a picture that I found on pinterest. When I went to pick up the cake it blew my mind. I almost cried when she showed to me. It was everything I expected and way more. All I can say is that this is the place to go to.

We hired J&D Cakes based off their online reviews to bake a speciality cake for my nephew’s third birthday, and while the cake looked amazing, the taste and texture were a huge letdown.I will say traveling from Georgia for our party, Joel and his team were really fantastic at responding to our requests in a timely manner. I genuinely appreciated his promptness and kind communication.I will also say our cake looked AMAZING. When I picked it up at their shop, I was so excited for all of our friends and family to see and taste it. The quality of their decorations were beyond impressive. Unfortunately, that’s where my praise has to end. The inside of the cake was so incredibly dry it tasted stale. Even visibly, the actual cake looked like something that had been baked and left in the refrigerator for days. The buttercream icing under the fondant came off in chunks. When I looked around at all the parents and adults eating the cake, I could see the looks of disappointment on their faces. I was devastated. We spent $200 on a cake that was only half-eaten and ultimately thrown away.In short, I would only consider recommending J&D Cakes if you only care about the aesthetics of your cake, or you’re just feeding it to children who won’t care what it tastes like. :(

My custom cake was absolutely beautiful. Joel was very prompt in answering all emails and questions.I was even more surprised by how delicious the cake actually was! Everyone raved about how great the cake tasted and there were no leftovers. I got chocolate with dulce de leche filling. Make sure to follow the instructions that Joel provides and to take the cake out of the fridge 1-2 hours before serving. Delicious and beautiful!

I researched and called around first. Chose this one because of their excellent response time and communication. But the cake they made for my grandmother was the best we have ever had. Period. Incredible design and taste. The crême de leche is where its at. Was able to taste in advance also. Very friendly and caring team.
