Good coffee, friendly staff, clean, WiFi, plenty of seating, trendy and nice ambience for working. The only thing stopping me from giving 5 stars is the food menu is limited to pastries, smoothie bowls and grab n go oats. If they added an avocado whole grain toast with egg that was displayed on a cool slab of stone I’d give 5 stars. Just not enough fuel here for the grind in my opinion.
A must try place! The açaí bowls are delicious & the coffees are great! I always come here for a morning latte, they offer different coffee stencil design options too. Very pretty & relaxing place!
This place is so cute! They play wonderful, muted music so you can focus on your tasks while hanging out here. The coffee is STRONG! I normally like weak coffee but I can deal with a little strength ☺️ PARKING! The parking is awful and soooo hard to get a spot! I drove around 3 times and got lucky from someone leaving. In the afternoon on a weekday of all times, parking is still crowded.
Great flat wit and croissant 🥐 loved the atmosphere too. LOVED It😍
So far, I think this place has the best quality of coffee ‘round these here parts.
First impressions: the vibe is good, employees swell & friendly, the coffee alright, but they cheat themselves by having plastic plants. The plastic plants, in vibrant south Florida, make you in turn notice the other shortcomings: the coffee is overly acidic, they don’t have recycling options, etc., but they ARE the best area option for a good café vibe, which IS saying something. If they rectify the plant thing and step up their bean game, four stars all day, but as it stands they get three on principle. The employees and music are on point and the best part of the experience, which is also saying much (good). To be honest I’m glad that they’re there because the Boca area is notably lacking good cafes since the local population is seemingly well contented with supporting the innumerable Starbucks locations (*umm....right*). The Seed, for better or worse, is the best coffee experience you’re gonna get outside your home until you drive to the nearest lil’ Cuban spot.
Warm, friendly & energetic staff! Spotless shop! Lavender latte & Kalita pour over was the best! Looking forward to visiting their new Lighthouse Point location in August.
Such great food and coffee!!! The people who work their are so nice and the indoor & outdoor seating is great many places to sit. Cool, relaxed environment!! Acai bowl amazing, spinach quiche great (lage portion) and my ice decaf mocha one of the best I ever had.Love this place!!!
My local coffee shop, so cute and you can tell they really enjoy their job!!! Plus they do a cool market outdoors. Yes indoor and outdoor seating, free WiFi, super friendly.
A good option for artisan coffee in Boca which can be hard to find sometime. The coffee and espresso is decent, but certainly better than most of the diner coffee around.
Great coffee and juices. Nice seating inside and out. Pleasant staff
Deliciousness in a cup! Stop in and grab a joe!
Great little coffee shop to stop in and relax while reading a book. If youre expecting super fast service, there is a dunkin down the road. If youre looking for good coffee and a great atmosphere, this is the place. I enjoy bringing my daughter here for breakfast and a hour or two of book reading, she loves it.
I’m giving the seed 5 stars because it is definitely the best and most consistent coffee shop in Boca. They serve counter culture coffee, which I think is some of the best out there. The staff is very kind and helpful, it wasn’t always that way but I’m glad things have changed. One downside is that it’s hard to find good seating here and that during the day it can get VERY hot inside.
*Skip this joint and go to R1 Coffee.* Although the nitro tastes good, uh, what’s up with this kiddie cup!? I can almost wrap my hand around twice it’s so small. I think it’s about 3 ounces. It could be described as cute but for $5.50 it’s a rip off. #failThe car’s cup holder has engulfed it! Swallowed it up it’s so small!!! I can barely get it out of the holder. It’s comical. Get real! I didn’t have this problem at R1 Coffee go there instead!
I stopped by recently and had a great experience! Ryan gave me a warm and genuine welcome and when I couldn’t decide what to order, he made some great suggestions and told me all about their specialties. The drink he made me was exactly what I needed and looked incredible too, he’s an artist!!
If you dont mind paying an extra $2-4 for small servings then this place is fine. Ive tried many acai bowls before and this is definitely the skimpiest acaí bowl for $12.50 Ive received anywhere in the country. Same thing with the empanadas - small and around $5. Besides the mark ups, very comfortable atmosphere, great service, and high quality ingredients.
Staff grate! Clean and good coffe
My family and I always look forward to visiting the Seed every weekend. It’s the little things like enjoying a coffee and treats together with my family that makes us happy. The staff is always very nice and we appreciate that. The coffee and food is great and the environment is pleasant. I would highly recommend the Seed!
Always love come back here! They serve counter culture coffee which is always pretty good. Great atmosphere, as always.
Very good espresso. Milk in the cortado seemed a little strange, kind of thin but not like skim, a little overheated too. Took off 1 star for that and barista talking to friend from store nearby instead of starting our drinks 😂 Only paper cups, I can understand but many places are using ceramic, presumably well-washed.
Hugely crowded with no one wearing mask. (Including barista) very expensive drinks $11 for juice? Not impressed.
Really nice high end coffee and juice place. The açaí bowls are delicious and good price compared to other places for the amount you get.The coffee is a bit more pricy than Starbucks but it’s great quality. Small 4oz cappuccino (with oat milk) came out to be $5.Service is great!✅Vegan Options 👌🏼✅Sustainable practices 🌎✅Small Local Business 🙌🏼
They said they will call my name when my espresso is ready. 15 minutes later they told me that my drink has been ready for a while. They never called my name.
Really friendly and helpful staff. Quick service and lovely atmosphere. I ordered the Kale Artichoke Empanada and it was so good — I definitely recommend. They’ve got creative coffee ad-ins such as CBD and lavender, to freshen your cold brew. The Seed is one of Boca’s hippest establishments!
Stopped by The Seed for a quick afternoon coffee fix. Found the staff to be friendly and helpful, and the drinks to be extremely tasty. Bonus points for having a bourbon infused syrup. Would certainly come back and try another drink sometime. Nice indoor and outdoor seating. Set back from the main road far enough that its not too noisy outside.
Cute coffe shop. Nice to hang out with friends.
Great place, great ambience and loved the Cardano..
The place for coffee in East Boca, many others challenged but could not change this status quo and closed but The Seed is here and always delivers. Great drip coffee and espressos, very solid pastries, and great, busy, energetic, youngish vibe of the real deal coffee place, so needed in Boca.
Top quality coffee when you are looking for something different than Starbucks. Much healthy food options as well!
Got an acai bowl and a tea. Place is decorated really nice makes you feel cozy. Definitely would recommend this place.
Fantastic latte and açaí bowl! Perfection
Coffee was delicious and I could not stop eating their banana coconut loaf! There is outside seating
As you know I am lover of coffee. I believe that a cup of coffee make my day. So when tasted coffee in this place its not only make me full of energy as well as recharge my soul too 😊 . I feel the taste rest of my day. The staff is also very efficient in thier duties and very friendly environment. Its a perfect place to have a cup of coffee with friends and family members . Very peaceful environment.Highly recommend
Very good coffee. Lots of milk alternatives. The vegan empanada is bomb af. The staff is very friendly and very helpful. Def a must go!
The one and only place in Boca where you can get amazing gourmet coffee, smoothies and healthy snacks. Love the atmosphere and the customer service. You absolutely have to try their macchiato!
3.5 out of 5Nice location, not overly complicated menu with natural ingredients like turmeric and machta. I don’t get into that type of things but my business partner digs it. So we meet there when in East Boca.
Very disappointed that the woman that made my coffee, whom I believe is an owner was the only person not wearing a mask.Unfortunate that she is so inconsiderate of the people supporting her business.Their coffee may be better than Starbucks but what really matters. Try to support local?!
They have the best coffee, very rich in flavor, unlike chain coffee shops. And their matcha lattes are delicious. Would recommend if you are looking for good coffee!
This is a special spot in Boca where you get quality coffee and at really nice atmosphere. They are able to sell freshly roasted coffee as well and so far Ive loved every time Ive been there.
Amazing hidden gem! I had a great time here. Great customer service, great and delicious coffee. This is also a great place to bring your laptop and work. They offer free and strong wifi with a chill atmosphere.
The seed is on par with any Starbucks. The place is full of students working their laptops and reading so a table I hard to get since they camp out all day. The employees are also students so getting any recommendations or details on the coffee is impossible. The coffee is good but not amazing as other reviewers have stated. Its an OK place but any other coffee shop would be just fine.
Quaint cozy and hipster hideout ish 🙂 and the drinks are 👌🏾
3 Words..... Honey Oat Latte..... ☕️ ❤️
There isnt many of these type of coffee place left. Much better then a corporate Starbucks. Its more of a mom and pop type of experience.
Great coffee and pastries. Friendly staff. Love the decor inside too. Highly recommended 👍
Coffee is great and so is the atmosphere
Yum! The matcha latte with oat milk is so good! 🔥
Super cute coffee shop! Friendly staff, great coffee, perfect ambiance!
My favorite coffee!
This is my favorite place for coffee in the world. If you are the down to earth type, spending time here feels great. This isn’t the place to get coffee to go. Come here when you have time to spend with someone, order whatever you want and spend some time.
Amazing green matcha. Great aesthetic and vibes.
Very good
Coffee was very good, staff could be bit friendlier. One male barista jumped all over his coworker for messing up my drink. Atmosphere is nice, there arent blenders whirring nonstop like at Starbucks stores in South Florida. Music was to my taste, but could use more variety...I think I heard the entire catalog of Vampire Weekend. If you plan to bring your laptop to get some work done, be advised there isnt a lot of room and good luck finding power outlets. Good coffee alternatives and pour over method coffee is served there as well.
I finally found it. A place in Florida that makes a solid Mocha, repetitively! They have counter culture beans, and a few solid barista’s one of which will win competitions some day. She is both consistent in her process and puts her heart into it. She actually Loves making people happy by giving them a great coffee experience. I have been in several hundred coffee shops all over the world. Each with its unique process. While Intelligentsia in Chicago still makes the best coffee and the Kaldi’s in Demun in St.Louis holds my heart for amazing coffee while looking up at the cathedral on the hill, this place is a respite in an otherwise unsettled world. ( spring of 2020) It’s 2020 chill with simple home seating and a bit of a barn style flair with pallet wood and deep contrasts and colors. They kept it simple. The bathroom is a bit awkward but workable. The outside sweating is decent enough. The fact that they are open for business during these times in a safe manner to assist those who have grown to love there coffee is a grace of God. Out of the many many coffee shops I have tried in Florida. This one gets top nod for consistent quality coffee. The manager is a nice guy and the staff has always been polite. All in all, one of my favorite coffee shops.*side note for spiritual vegans, they have tasty stuff, but these vegan products are made next to a pork product. They don’t claim kosher, but buying vegan means I want to avoid meat energy and if they were made by the same person on the same equipment and are sold right next to each other it’s safer to not buy. Not everyone is as energetically sensitive as I am, so please use your discernment.
A real gem. The atmosphere is awesome, the decor is lovely and it’s one of the only places I can get an unsweetened coconut milk cappuccino around here (10/10 would recommend)! Boca needs more places like this.
Friendly staff and quick service!
Espresso is a bit too acidic for my taste. Didnt make for a good milk based drink. Cookie was decent.
Lots of space, and good service and coffee.
Excellent spot if youre looking to get some work done, great alcoves that give an oh-so-comfy feeling on a rainy day, and staff that are inviting. I come on a regular basis since its one of my favorite early-morning spots for quiet coffee.
Great place to relax, people watch, eat good food or all the above. I had a cousin come into town and she asked me to go back here. It has a nice feel to it.
Great coffee, great place but one small detail that could mark a HUGE difference. The chairs are incredibly uncomfortable, if the coffee shop would invest in more cozy chairs I would go there and I am sure my family and friends would visit the seed more often.
Hi!!! I’m so excited to leave this review. It’s my first one and I’ve chosen to become the person who reviews places now because this place was soooo good and everyone gets to know!!! They make the vanilla and lavender flavors in house and I tried the vanilla and it’s not too sweet, just a good flavor!!! I also had the açaí bowl which was pretty good too but the winner of them all is the VEGAN spinach and artichoke empanada. I’ve never had an empanada quite this delicious before and it’s VEGAN! Just really? Wow. I’m clapping it up for this plan! Enjoy!!! And thank you, Seed! Great, kind and helpful employees too!!! :-)
I favor the coffee here over Manes. Things can get a bit pricey - but the coffee is delicious and a nice mid-week/mid-day pick me up! Go get you some ~
Its $10 for my favorite drink! that is super expensive because it doesnt come in a smaller or bigger size and its slurped down before i know it! If you like basil and you like berries and almonds and Greek yogurt try the basil and berry smoothie holy freaking cow however I have to limit myself to once a week max because this is like buying cigarettes. way too expensive but so good
Such a cute place! A little dark on this gloomy, rainy day but the wood finish is gorgeous and I love the industrial lights. The menu was clearly laid out with tea, matcha, coffee, healthy bowl options and smoothies! Quick and friendly service!
I like the cold brew coffee and its a nice place to hang out for awhile!
Matcha Latte with coconut milk was terrible. It tasted artificial. Unfortunately there isnt many coffee shops in the area, so this place is really all you have.
Great service, very nice outside sitting chairs, location itself is non pretentious, next to the small gym
