I would not give this location any stars if I could for the customer service that I got here today! The guy who I talked to was literally loud and rude in his tone. When I asked him about the online insider sale he rudely told me I will not honor that in my store! It’s not YOUR store first of all! Learn to speak politely when in customer service! Have a conversation instead of barking answers rudely at customers! I have worked in customer service too and I don’t ever remember such behavior being accepted anywhere! I put the clothes down and walked out without a word!

Good selection of different styles and colors. I got a few nice items for dinner date coming soon. The cash register girl doesnt like her job, she talks low works slow and have a attitude or something.

Decent dress shirt sale going on today, but they frequently have shirt sales. This block had a number of other stores that I went into, but the display was very straightforward and organized. Two staff members came up to help (I was there for awhile), both were very courteous. One was able to make a solid prediction of the size and style of shirt I should get. Very helpful, easy and quick shopping.

Lea was amazing and helped me out as soon as we met. She was able to help me find sizes to try on although the store did not have the jeans in Long. Lea then ordered me the correct sizes online. Thank you so much!!! You are a very helpful and sweet associate. I would definitely come back to the store for your help!!! 😆

Express had a great sale! My husband found a deal on shorts for $15 each instead of $60. When we were getting ready to pay the lady inform us we had a $5 reward to use, so at the end we paid $47 for 3 pairs of summer shorts. Yay!

Ray was very helpful. My experience was positive.

Bought a few things for my son, so happy that express is open and that my son found what he was looking for.

Given the fact I used to work for the company many moons ago, I was extremely dissatisfied with the level of customer service I received from the sales guy or assistant, whoever he was named Ray. From my intial interaction with Ray, he gave me this really nasty disposition when I asked him about the new jeans express carried I havent shopped there in awhile he pointed me in the direction of where the jeans were and was like they are mixed in and he ran off somewhere. I then later had a question about the outerwear about it being on sale because the marketing was confusing and the tags said something different. Before I got a chance to finish my statement, he blurts out its not returnable all sales are final. First off, that is not why I come into stores, to buy things and return them. That is absolutely tacky. Secondly, sir youre in customer service seriously that is not how you talk to anyone trying to give your establishment money and potentially helping your ADS,UPT or keeping your conversion down. I then went and tried on the two I wanted I walked out the fitting room getting ready to purchase both He then says, whatever you dont want just leave it right here. He immediately runs in to check the fitting room behind me. I hate making things about race but, I watched Ray go above and beyond for a Hispanic gentleman looking for socks. Where was that customer service for me? After being disrespected. I chose not to purchase anything and began to leave then I asked him his name He rolled his eyes and said Ray now if that is his name, I doubt it but roll the cameras back and you can see the whole interaction take place at roughly 7:45pm until almost closing time. Express, no one should be treated like that. Now, this is a corporate issue. I would like the store manager to reach out.

I found the most beautiful peacoat here. Ive been receiving tons of compliments on it. They always have a good sale and associates are friendly and helpful.

Good bump up in quality from Gap and Uniqlo.The store is medium sized and organized and the staff are friendly.If you watch for deals and make an account you can get a lot of $10 rewards and points that make things significantly cheaper.Express is my go to place for slim and extra slim dress shirts as a 61 guy. They are crisp and clean and fit very well.Make sure to NOT put them in the dryer though. That will cause them to shrink an inch or two, noticably in sleeve length.

Their checkout systems are incredibly slow (took ~20 minutes to purchase 1 item) and received different information from employees than their customer service line is telling me now. Clothes are fashionable but in all it’s just another retailer looking to trim the bottom line in whatever way possible including service, quality, training, and using customer manipulation.

Always have a problem with my credit card. Was in store 2 hours because customer service could not get digital card to work.but corporate asked all credit card holders to go digital. Go figure. Should of got all issue fixed and trained staff better before laubching a new product.

Prices are a little high, still bought and found a outfit on clearance rack, lady was nice and helpful, I be back, was my first time, !

What a joke! Do not get white jeans from here. They are cheap and get ruined after one use. 50 plus dollar jeans destroyed. What a waste of money. When I spoke to the manager Jose. The check out lady was not nice. The signage was not clear it said Buy 1 $28 and get 1 yet at the checkout counter the shirt was $59 and the second shirt for $29. Company should be clear on sales and not try to manipulate the customer

Once upon a time, you could actually buy - and wear! - clothing from Express to work. I used to owe a suit from Express that I loved. Over the last few years, the design became increasingly a joke - there is no way half of the clothing, even those in the work apparel section - to a halfway respectable company. Frills, cheesy patterns, designs that make it seem like it was made for a 18 year old going for first nontraditional job but priced for professionals. They still have a few wearable items, but overpriced and not worth the cheap material. As for the trendy/casual stuff, you could simply go to discount store - why pay $90 for a shirt that you cannot wear to work and wont wear more than 5 times to a party? I would not be surprised if the store start decaying similar to its neighbor retailers.

The prices are higher than other places, but they have stylish selections for different age groups.

The staff here was superb. There was a sale going on, and they made sure I got my moneys worth.

Nice product range...picked up a good shirt

I tried to return an item I bought a couple days before but no longer needed. A bald gentleman in a sweater I believe to maybe be a manager, immediately met me with a little attitude and told me I cant return it because a tag had been removed. Sure thats their policy I learned but I distinctly remember my cashier not removing anything because we chatted the whole time. I returned back to the store to double check I wasnt crazy and asked a different person to check. When she asked him about it he stormed out the back, ignoring my vocal acknowledgement, fetched the same pair of pants and threw it on the counter at me exclaiming this was the tag I was missing. Still didnt recognize the tag but at that point just had to leave. Whomever was right in the situation, I’m very surprised by chicago because this wasnt the first time Id been treater that way. If you are a person of color Id avoid the express on N state st. I wont have to be worried about it anyway because I will no longer shop at express. 10/4/17

Horrible service.No one greeted me...I would have thought maybe the manager would but he didnt...Very disappointed.I was ready to check out and the cashier didnt even acknowledge me.she passed by me like if I wasnt even there so rude.she was wearing black ripped jeans.When I worked at the h.i.p mall at express my manager made sure we greeted everyone.
