Great..wanted a particular brand of coffee..they were out..said to come back couple days later...I did, but coffee was not there yet..manager said..he was sorry..and to come back Thursday..and he said...ITS ON ME!. So nice...I will have my coffee next week..on him...nice clean store..helpful stockers..and the food bar was good..just what I needed...veggies...rice...and chicken...Im headed towards no more meat for some reason...this is where I will go to get my weekly lunches...
WONDERFUL! They had several things in stock that I’ve only ever been able to order online including speciality formulas(goat milk or pea protein) for my children. We even found some fun things we will be back for another trip. The store was fully and nicely stocked and clean and all the staff I encountered were extremely friendly and helpful! We will definitely be back. Would also LOVE a location to be on 280 in the Talladega/Coosa/Tallapoosa counties area
They have an immense variety of healthy food items that you cannot find at other local grocery stores. This is a store that you would go to to find something every specific food item. The prices are a little high, but that is expected because they sell unique food items. The amazing prime discount on certain food items is a great opportunity to capitalize on your favorite food items. The store is also clean and the workers are friendly. I highly recommend this store.
Super nice inside, the parking lot wasn’t too big but there was enough room to park, and i had a great shopping experience. making this my store!
Love Whole Foods. Love purchasing Organic foods. Always friendly and helpful employees.
Always fresh. Nice and helpful personnel. Beautiful look attracts to grab a coffee and spend some time talking with friends outside.
My local Whole Foods. Clean and usually well stocked.
So I love to eat healthy and because Im a country girl we grew our own fruits and vegetables. This store always reminds me of home. Everythings fresh, the store is always clean and smells good. I love their chicken salad its one of my favorites. And they have a great selection of ice cream. Its a must shop stop. 😄
The store is really nice and clean. The few employees we came in contact with were friendly. I did ask an employee where the mayonnaise was located and he directed me to the right place. The check out process was okay. The cashier seemed bothered even though she was friendly-ish. We asked her to split the bill but not sure if she didn’t hear us or just ignored the request. Just wish we had a Whole Foods closer in proximity to us.
New layout was a little confusing at first but still a great store with each department’s respective teams knowledgeable about the products in their department. And that is VERY nice. Prices do often have disparate price points but you can almost always find quality products for prices equal to and sometimes better than most of the grocery competition locally.
Every time I come in there in my work uniform and apron I see employees following me around. Then the last 3 times I’ve checked out I’ve seen an employee join the other one at self checkout and they both watch me. They stare at me the entire time I check out. They don’t do that to any of the rich looking mountain brook women in that store. I drive 25 minutes to this store to feel embarrassed? That doesn’t make any sense. I won’t return.
Clean. Employees were cordial. Very appealing would visited, again
Ok but I miss the Hoover location so much! It was in a way more spacious area.
Not anywhere near what Whole Foods was in the past. Empty boxes littering the floor, liquid on the floor next to seafood counter. The whole feel of the store has changed. There was a pump container of what appeared to be some sort of bug spray at the entrance of the store. Not what i want to see. Could be an issue with small children. On the bright side, the cashier was friendly.
I stopped here every time Im in town because this place is so wonderful! For gluten-free diets as well as other specialized diets.
So much good stuff. Want to try the hot food bar next!
If you have a hankering for something sweet (cookies, pastry, cupcakes, gelato, etc.) this Whole Foods location always serves as a wonderful choice. The seating area in the front of the store is a great place to breakaway from the busy day and have a snack, or even simply a relaxing sit.FYI:This location is also a great place to find unique and healthy live plants.
Staff need to be more friendly I did not see one smiley face. Other than that it is pleasant Shoping!
They have variety of healthy food .Most of the workers are helpful and nice. Like the different meats they sell and how they educate the public about the stage of the animal where the meat comes from. I Dont give the 5 star because some of the workers at the meat department have attitude like it bothers them to cut the meat the way you want.
Fresh great super veggies, everything was easy to locate even for my first time to visit one of these stores.
Some good healthy choices ! Prices a bit high. Missing the hot bar !
Overall nice store with a good selection of hard to find foods
Highly-recommended. Many, many women clad in yoga pants/leggings.
My visit to whole foods today was good store was nice and clean I was able to get what I needed and I was glad to see that now they have self-service check out and I was in and out in a breeze
Store clean, very nice workers, but buffet food was less desirable, most was dry out, blueberry muffins was packie no flavor, I hope next time am taken there someone will keep better buffet up
This place used to be absolutely amazing. But when Amazon took over all the good employees left, the food quality and freshness suffered, and they straight up got rid of most of their best in store made food. They started shipping it in and its horrible now. I have stopped going there completely. Even the standards of their body products, vitamins and supplements, oils, and makeup have shriveled up
I miss the Hoover location. I had to ask multiple employees for assistance in locating a particular product that I knew they carried ( it was available in their app) but each just pointed in a different direction and said to ask someone over there. Disappointing!!
What a time it is to be alive....the Biden camp is in and the hours have changed. I guess all comes to pass. What a blessing in disguise.
Selection great. Location great. Service we had was beyond reproach. I do wish there were more associates on floor who could have answered our questions.Overall, good. Thank you.
Fab croissants and cookies! Flipflops are 40% off limited sizes off combination, I know 😏
We now call it Who Foo. Since the sign had a few lights out for a while. We love Who Foo and the much name just makes it more fun.
Overall was an alright trip just the cashier was rather rude and acted like it was a bother to have people come through her line. We tried to be as polite as possible but she continued to huff like she didnt want anyone to come in at all.
It’s good. Kind of a strange mix of products- some with a lot of selection, some just not there. Great seafood counter. Great cheese counter. Not an every day visit for me but I enjoy it when I go. The cashiers are really nice too.
Delicious, I can find so many wonderful things to experience.
My visit was to the Mt. Brook Whole Foods off of hwy 280. This was not my first visit but it was my I get it visit. Tha staff was friendly, the store was clean and the produce was fresh as it always is. My wife and I made the hour trek this time because we wanted to make a few lifestyle changes. It was on this visit that we met Aaron Hathcock. Aaron was talking to an elderly man about the differences in the veggie burgers they sale. He seemed so knowledgeable, kind and enthusiastic, I stopped to listen. He even took questions lol. He was a real Grocer. There are so many interesting things in Whole Foods, it was neat to have an Aaron there to explain the what and the why. Well done
The store is nice, recently remodeled. The new layout is a little odd. They put supplements, soap, cosmetics with the veggies (?), high profit margins? They used to have an excellent import beer selection, replaced it with beer from local breweries ☹️. I understand the need to carry local but european beer is of higher quality. Bring back the imports.
Best grocery store in Birmingham. It has a great selection of meats, cheese, and wine along with everything else one would need. It is one of the largest whole foods in the country so selection is great.
I always have loved Whole Foods. I mean they started the health trend right? Natural, organic, whole. Whats not to love?!
It was nice...but I think we like the Montgomery store better. Its closer to us
Hot bar is delicious, the gloves and hand sanitizer supplied are awesome for stopping germ spread.
I love whole foods! Always fresh always great service! Little pricey depending on your budget.
Quality and service. Great cheese too.
Whole paycheck but you cant find food like this outside of local farmers markets. So go to a local farmers market ;)
Ive always liked WF, but noticed lately that beer selections are lagging far behind even other mainstream grocery stores. Overall service has faltered a bit too. Prices, though, remain higher than competitors for the same or similar products. Trending downward..
Always catch a good deal! If you have Amazon Prime, dont forget to get those extra savings at the register!
Its not worth a trip anymore. They have gone down hill especially their produce dept. It used to be a beautiful produce dept with so much fresh organic veggies, now its not very good. They have moved the store around but not for the better, it just seems a rather dark and boring place now. Its seems like it all started when Amazon bought them out, I just dont go anymore and cant really recommend it, sorry 😐
Had products I wanted. Cashier nice.
😍👍🏿😁♻️💯😷This Whole Foods has some beautiful women who work there! Alabama is not to bad in that department!😁👍🏿✊🏿Ill be back soon👍🏿
I have a medical condition that prevents me from wearing a mask. Whole Foods makes it clear that they feel welcome to harrass any customer not wearing one, regardless of the reason. Yesterday when I entered the store, I explained to the greeter that I could not wear a mask due to my health condition and said that I did not have COVID-19, nor did I have any COVID-19 symptoms. She stopped me, said she had to do this for the camera, motioned me closer (forget social distancing!), and interrogated me on the exact points I had politely explained to her. She took my temperature without asking my permission, then loudly announced my physical description over the headset, down to the color of clothing I wore, and repeated it, just to make sure every single employee knew who had dared enter their establishment without a mask. Alabama’s mask mandate, which has now ended, included a medical exemption, but Whole Foods - which centers around health - discriminated against me based on my health and made me feel lower than dirt because of my inability to wear a mask. This is not the first time I’ve been harrassed there over the mask mandate, which, again, contains a medical exemption. I’m fed up and will not return.
My son purchased Mother’s Day flowers for me through Amazon from Whole Foods. What was delivered was horrible. So sad to see this! He’s 18 and this was his first time to do this on his own, and the results were not impressive.
Good grocery store with healthier options. Trendy and a bit pricey, but some items are cheaper than Publix.
Great Selection. Great Service!
Very wide selection in this large sized store.
Second time I been in store. Last October I came looking for Watermelon and I love the store. This time no good I wont be back. Employees dont even speak to you? One guy treated me nice and he worked were they have cooked Turkey Burgers everyone else not friendly. I was going to spend on many things but only picked up Watermelon because I cant find anywhere else.Yourself workers should go to Publix for training.
Everyone is very friendly and helpful
I love this place.workers are always nice and helpful.
This place has the most unique food items! I searched all over town for a cheesecake decorated with fresh fruit, and they were the only place that made that happen for me. It was beautiful and delicious! Also, an excellent wine selection!
Well, it is Whole Foods, so great products but pricey
Been going to this store for 8 years never had a bad experience till today. One of the cashier named Patricia(Skinny black woman) was just plain rude and had the worst attitude. Out of the 35 different stores throughout the country I have shopped at this is the only time an associate was unpleasant to me. Patricia thanks for giving the Wholefoods(Amazon) brand a bad rep. The store itself is clean and things are easy to find even after the stores redesign, the dining in area was removed and product was shifted mainly after this. Price are typical Wholefoods pricing and local favorites are here. Products do get dropped without warning sometimes without a last chance label period. Which is upsetting because chances are it near impossible to find afterwards. 2 years ago if the store didnt have you could just drive 15 mins to the Hoover store but that is no longer a option. Now the nearest store is in Huntsville which is more then a hour drive. The Bakery is not the best Wholefoods bakery(The bakery in NYC in Tribeca have that honor) but it is solid the selection is decent and they will make all types of creations. I wish they were more capable if recreating a desert from another Wholefoods. The pizza here are great it is on par with any pizza chain I can think of expected Donatos. I wish they seasoned it like the New Orleans location. The store is a located in a busy area it can be difficult to get to in rush hour territory and the store can be quite busy at 1-5. Remember to bring your own bags the paperbag just dont hold up, they always break. The 2 stars just reflects my experience on September 5, 2020, because of the bad customer service there, if you avoid this Patricia lady every other associate there is friendly and helpful.
Great selection. Clean. Little pricey but worth it.
They are very nice
Food was good but what was left they stated they was out of fresh food to cook. No cornbread and bakery said they only make on certain days told us to come back tomorrow. Are you serious we are here today.
Clean ! Shelves were well stocked. So many yummy choices.
If you want it, they got it. Very clean and organized. Helpful and friendly staff.
My first time visiting but great customer service and patience. Didnt get a chance to experience the hot bar or steam table referencing the COVID Pandemic. Thats the only reason I didnt give 5 stars. Hopefully when the country is pandemic free and everything re-opens completely, I may get a chance to up the stars.
What a rude customer service... Kids threatening police involvement over a mask.
Always best place to shop. Any city, any time - as long as you are happy to pay more for your produce!
Absolutely loved this visit to Whole Foods.Never disappointed whatsoever
Their produce is usually fresh. Can find most of what I need.
Clean fresh.
My favorite. Healthy..while foods. Wonderful selection. Great alternative selected for gluten free, vegan/ vegetarian and dairy free. Lots of international selections..large.srlection of snack and kid friendly.
I LOVE THIS STORE FRESH EVERYTHING AND THEY ARE ALAWAYS HELPFUL
The smell of that branch was nasty. It was debre all over the produce section and the hot bar looked like it was there all day. The worse whole foods Ive ever been in.
This was my first visit in quite a while. The store layout and product mix have changed (not always for the better). There are 3 or 4 Whole Foods branded products I buy occasionally and they still had most of those. All the local farm produce is gone, though.Compared to a regular grocery store, I would say theres little reason to go out of your way to shop here. But also compared to a regular grocery store, this Whole Foods rates slightly higher than average.
Upscale shopping, great service
Never disappointed!!
Everything was great!
Hey its open covid Thanksgiving! unlike Publix Winn Dixie and even Walmart...kudos .
Whole Food Markets is a store that came to Mountain Brook, Alabama and had everyone loving their products and services - as of September 3, 2020; it is a grocery store for a neighborhood and those who prefer to continue to shop but live miles away.
Everything is good, healthy food
2.5 stars. Not going to lie I was disappointed in the new store. Sure its new and pretty and bigger but I dont see any new items just new brands. Like seriously 30 different brands of oil! Id rather have more selection in foods to try. We are vegetarian and also use a lot of vegan products and they had a tiny section for me with nothing new. I also didnt see the grab and go section which is a lifesaver for me. Instead you order what you like and wait for it. I did really like the fresh breads they have available but they were not warm like other stores. Ended up having to go to another store because they didnt have my pancake batter or milk brand. They just opened so maybe they are still working out the kinks, but a lot of staff just standing around talking. Also the parking lot and side doors are not set up for people pushing carts. The side doors are not automatic and there are curbs connecting the back parking lot from the side.
Alabama mask mandate is over, yet the mask police at the front refused to let me in without one.... I wasn’t allowed in at all. Bye bye Whole Foods. I’ll vote with my dollars.
They were great, and very helpful
The more I use this store, the more I like it! You need to be an Amazon Prime member to enjoy the stores full discount benefits! The Atlantic Salmon is our favorite for grilling. A lot of great quality food choices, many organic. I don’t care much for the stores 365 brand, edible but not the same quality as their other offerings.
I love the fresh food and staff is friendly
Surprised how easy it was to get in and out, the Saturday before Christmas.
Great selection. Clean store. Friendly staff. Convenient location.
They stand around complementing each other’s hair instead of opening another lane even though lines are quite long
Awesome as always! Fast, well stocked and customer aware.
A manager Named Derek is a rockstar. Amazon has not fully integrated their Grocery delivery services with the store the groceries are being delivered from which handicaps the local staff from having any knowledge of a prime grocery order and it’s contents. I’m at home sick and my coworkers sent me a prime grocery order that was filled from the Mt Brook store and an item was not delivered that we ordered. Derek is a manager at this store and explained this predicament to me when I called to inform them we were missing an item. Even though Derek and this store aren’t responsible for this order and it’s proper delivery he decided to personally deliver the item we did not receive to make it right. This is the type of customer service that you always want but rarely ever see. I can’t thank Derek enough and would highly recommend this store to anyone in the area especially if Derek is working.
I got a bag of cherries, nigiri, and bottled water. The cherries are mushy and many have little rotted places. I got a much better bag last week at Publix. The sushi isn’t great either. There are blood spots all in the tuna.
