First of all all the prices are at least a dollar more if not more. I go in at 8 o’clock come into my entrance which is off of Woodward in the corner of downtown. Pay for my stuff and I can’t even ask at the way I entered so they make me walk all the way around the parking lot. Never again Kroger never again.
Excellent independent grocery store. They carry an amazing selection of foods you will not find at the chain stores. If you like Boars Head meats and cheeses they have them all.
Great grocery store. Great choices of foods and good quality. I cant go anywhere. I like this place. Nice deli with a big selection.
This is a very nice grocery store. Fully loaded, everyone is so friendly, I dont know why I dont shop there more often. Its about 10 miles away. I think Ill start back shopping there.
Great grocery store. Lots of food choices and good quality. The best in town.
Great places are always clean and well stocked. The employees seem like respectful people, never had an issue in years of sporadic visits here
Love this store!! Like the personal attention and family feel! You do a great job!! Keep up the great customer service!!!
Ill be back when I visit this location. My husband had found his go to place for meats & love the selection of cheeses & ethic foods
This please has a little bit of everything that you need. Their deli and hot and cold tables and desserts are excellent.
Wonderful grocery store with upscale products you may not find anywhere else. Try this place, youll be amazed!
Recently remodeled and much improved. And more produce.
Great grocery place, nice beer selectionFriendly staff
I use to like this Kroger’s but every time you go there it only one checkout line open, no one likes to help everyone has a Attitude and if I wanted to bag my own groceries I will go to self check out but when I go to a checkout line no one ever bags our groceries we have to bag them ourselves poor service!
Beggars when we walked inside asking to buy them food. Got in line and starbucks employees almost got into a fight with a customer.. decided to leave only to run into another rude man begging aggressively. 👎👎👎👎👎 #trashy
I just left this Kroger and after not even being acknowledged by my cashier I got to my car to put my groceries in and the bagger put my sons birthday cake in the cart upside down under my other bags. I understand that help is hard to find but this is not okay. I will now have a 6 year old extremely upset because his cake is ruined.
Terribly rude staff. Waited in line, cashier let me put all my items down, then told me she was closed. I was followed around the whole store by an associate, I assume because I was on lunch from my landscaping job and was dirty from working. Will not be back. May complain to corporate
Please open more lanes. Checkout is a mess here.
Love their produce, meats and cheeses!
The best grocery store in town. Lots of food choices and good quality.
Its 2:45 in the afternoon... I walked in past the bakery I seen a African American lady with glasses. 45+yrs... Eating with her gloves on... Then continues on working on prepin food with the same glove she touched her mouth with.... Then Im shopping.. she interrupted her colleagues.. trying to do work. While she whispers in the other lady ear over 10 min while the other lady continues to work.. while she gossiping...some people just dont need a job... Its cold out here I will not be coming back. Smdh..
The butcher always closes before 8pm. The meats are awesome which is why I come here, but the inconsistency in time for that department is a annoying inconvenience. I just rushed to get there only to have to find someone to tell me that the department is closed, they should just say it closes at 7:30pm.
Great people, service better than most Krogers. welcoming staff
Management, why do you allow the cashier, Clea, to text while checking out customers? It comes across very unprofessional while Clea finishes her texting before processing orders. On every occasion, I have yet to be acknowledged or welcomed by Clea while in her line, as she is always texting on her phone. If your employees find it more important to text, than to take care of your customers, I will find another another store to shop at.
Carts werent cleaned/sanitized and no options as far as sanitizer or wipes to use for the carts. in the midst of covid-19, i would like to feel safer shopping.
Great deals every week.
I love this store. Well stocked, good prices, strong community awareness, and they try to do right by their employees and customers. Great business to support. Every employee Ive talked to is customer service directed.
Do not go here! It took 1 hour of waiting for someone to come write on a cake for me. When I went to talk to management the guy power walked out of the store and to his car I guess. Alot of Urban workers and they all act like they dont even want to be there.
I’ve been going to this KROGER for years. I’ve always found what I needed and stuff I just had to try!! The team in deli, dairy, produce, registers and management & customer service .... ARE ALL AWESOME!!!!! Thankful for them !!!!
The store in Birmingham, MI is soooo much nicer than the Krogers in Southfield (especially the Evergreen Plaza store). The employees are less than helpful and often outright rude.
Great store. Why one star then? Whoever approved to build the parking area on a slope, his license should be pulled. Load up your shopping cart in the store and try unload it without a third arm. Good luck.
My first and only idiosyncratic visit. Be me. See hot mess of parking lot. Park on street and walk half a block. Walking towards entrance notice younger gentleman waiting for driver to leave spot. See an older gentleman park before younger gentleman. Younger gentleman shouts, hey, I was going to park there! Older gentleman, I dont see your name on it! Continue shopping. Pick up fabulous steak meat. Select a glorious wine. Over hear staff talk about how much wine is consumed in Birmingham. Think not my business. Pay and leave.
This Kroger is one of the best in SE Michigan. Ever since they had to remodel after the unfortunate floods in the area a few yrs ago the store continues to look new and very inviting. The produce is fresh, and the sushi is also very good from the chefs on site! I like going there evenings as its quiet and much easier to park!
Brandi, in the floral department, is a shining star. So helpful, easy going, and goes above and beyond to make children feel special with a balloon or candy. The flowers selection at this store is fantastic.
Always fast checkout at this location. Friendly and helpful staff. I have always enjoyed my shopping experience here since it was opened.
Its Kroger. You know what youre getting, a wide array of good food options at fair prices. Just because its Birmingham does not mean higher prices, they are standardized across locations. Meat and poultry is always good and fresh and they have plenty of veggies for you.
This store is very efficient, most always has what I am looking for and the staff does a great job. What else can I ask for? You say price? They got that also. Very competitive.
Very nice Kroger... the staff is helpful and professional. They have a big selection of upscale foods you might not find at other neighborhood Krogers which makes it a very good place to shop. One thing I didnt like was almost buying a product that was expired so now I know to really pay good attention to the items I purchase.
Within walking distance of the hotel I was staying at. Friendly people throughout the store ready to help. I was able to purchase sunglasses easily. The Starbucks in the store was very convenient and quick. Great experience!
I love this kroger a lot all the employees are super helpful and great! The reason I gave 3 stars is that I came and picked up grilled chicken for lunch and it was very dry and a waste of money!
This Kroger has roasted turkey breast, sold with the roasted chicken breast. Today I will try the Turkey. Very accommodating staff, dispite the demanding customers that come in the store.I did not like the turkey, the turkey was not seasoned well. The turkey was a bit under cooked for my taste. Kroger gave me a full refund .
Everyone here is very helpful. Nicest Kroger staff I have ever encountered. Always offering help with a smile. Selection is great, especially for foodies.
Not my favorite location. Produce is usually old and moldy. They could do much better keeping items stocked. Love the Starbucks though! 🙌🏽
Great since the renovation. They should have their own bakery though rather than all of the packaged breads they have. Just not the same (Cant you take it to another level Kroger?) Customer service staff though are not the best. That said, cashiers and baggers are very good.
This store is a joke! It’s never stocked and the customer service manager has the absolute WORST people skills on the planet.
This is the best Kroger in the area. It is very clean, very quiet and the associates are very sweet. There are a lot of food options while your shopping too such as Starbucks and Sushi. Very convenient.
The deli employees are so stupid they don’t know how to do simple math and they are so slow. They are totally not qualified for the East job they have.
The service is excellent. Very friendly and helpful people working here.
One of the best Krogers I have been to. Great selection, with routinely well stocked shelves. Friendly and helpful staff. Beware: The deli counter closes well before the store.
Very clean well organized and great location. Wide variety of products fresh sushi on display and a great deli selection. Parking in the rear
Always clean. Always well stocked. Huge variety. Friendly and knowledge employees.
Great store, love their fruit cards for kids. Helpful staff, but Birmingham store doesnt carry Tortilla Land Uncooked corn tortillas....bummer...they are the best!!!
This store goes down hill almost daily. The manager lady with the blonde hair is nasty and very non customer friendly, the clerks at the service desk are more interested in discussing the day than helping, the store is dirty and the new layout where breakfast bars are near the toilet paper makes no sense. Birmingham would be better off without this store. Why when I go to the troy store, the same distance from my house, the experience is 100 percent different. Even with your Kroger card, Meijers is way cheaper!!!
Very clean, well organized store. The produce and meat were very fresh as well. O wish the Krogers near me in Southfield was just as nice.
Favorite grocery store, the Birmingham store is more of an experience, than a typical Grocery store. Also, the staff are excellent and more than helpful. A woman named Debbie was BEYOND HELPFUL...
Lots of speciality foods and friendly staff. Fresh food and clean store. One of my favorite Krogers
Went to take my mom for her flu shot at the pharmacy. She made a quick stop at the restroom..YUCK! There were gnats and bugs flying around to the extent that you were swatting at them. The soap and paper towel dispenser were broken, as well. It makes one think about the rest of the store and where you buy your food. The health department needs to look into this store!! I won’t be back!
Always out of basic items such as lemons, broccoli and other items that you should expect a Kroger to carry. Their fish is outrageously expensive - about $7 for a small piece of fish and you might as well go to Whole Foods if your looking to spend that much. Also, their staff is terrible and rude. I asked the guy behind the meat counter what type fish he recommended for the day and he just said they are all the same. I asked what is the most fresh and he said its all the same. Then I asked him what he personally liked the most and he said he they all taste the same. Thanks buddy. The Deli people give you a bad attitude and they are terrible at slicing the deli meet. They always use the lowest setting to cut the meat which results in you just getting a bag full of shredded meat (not in slices). Laughably bad.
Jay in Bakery was fantastic and so talented.Best customer service ever! Delicious and gorgeous custom cakes ever!Thank You Jay!
Went in with my boyfriend so he could but a few things for his house, one of which included vodka. He is 24 and I am only 19, but he was the one purchasing it for himself. The cashier David yelled at me to give him my ID saying he is not going to be responsible for someone drinking underage even though the person buying the alcohol was over 21 and I was just standing next to him. I told him I wasn’t 21 but I wasn’t buying it so it doesn’t matter as it is not for me. He got angry and said that he cannot sell it because I was underage and threw the bottle under the register. We left and will not be coming back again.
Very clean store that is well stocked. Polite staff who are willing to assist you as well.
Roeper kids love Kroger. If only they had Sprite Cranberry...
Today was not so good, the staff n management went out of there way to make themselves look foolish and make it really inconvenient for me . There are times when common sense must b part of the job description. Wont go to the 15 n Woodward store again . Every customer should matter !
Kroger is a great grocery store to shop at! They typically always have what you are looking for and the extra things as well 😁the staff is very Friendly as well
Easy checkout. Chocolate cake was rich and great tasting!
Always has just what I need in logical and easy to find places. The staff is always friendly and funny
Only one cashier-operated register was open. There were at least 5 customers, plus me, waiting. Eventually, when the customer service representative freed up, he opened another register. He was a nice young man.
If you read my review of Starbucks inside this location of Kroger, which I posted in August of 18, then I had already told you about the delicatessen; the remodeling of the restrooms; and the sushi bar.The dining area has a television set. I had just finished watching Game Six between the visiting Boston Bruins and the hosting Toronto Maple Leafs. The Bruins won, 4--2.Ive seen other National Hockey League games thereon; a few golf games; and a few skating events, as well.Overall, this place is awesome. I had lunch while watching that hockey game: Baked chicken (two thighs and a drumstick); mashed potatoes and gravy; and kernel corn. Then I got an iced strawberry-filled doughnut and a Grande Mocha Frappucino.Later on I purchased a Grande White Chocolate Mocha. It was good. I really enjoy going to that location of Kroger/Starbucks. Thus far, no disappointments.
Nice store but the cashier was having a bad day. Hope it gets better.
So part of my daily routine and a pleasant experience when speaking with everyone at this location THANK YOU very much management you help provide AWESOMENESS Services from everyone here Thankful For you all...
Clean store, easy to navigate and get in and out. One of the better Krogers in the area.
Nice place, but some limited selection for certain food items. Nice wine department, bakery, and a descent butcher.
One of my favorite Krogers! As well as finding things here you wont find in any other Kroger you will also get your Staples that you need and youre in and out of there very quickly
Very disorganized. Kitchen utensils are spread randomly throughout and you can waste half an hour wandering around trying to find a simple tool.
Very clean with an excellent selection. Lots of open registers get you checked out quick.
Selection of fresh produce is great. Prices are decent and staff are so friendly.
In and out in no time, clean. Self check out great.
Great selection, great prices, clean environment . Get up to a dollar off per gallon, when you use your fuel points. They employ friendly associates that are members of a labor union, UFCW, earning fair wages and benefits which in turn makes for a healthy community.
Smallish store with decent selection. Stock of veggies is limited, so get there early! CSV and bottle recycling on-site.
Prices are favorable and services are great. Selection of meat and veggies is superb.
Kroger.A phenomenal choice for family outing or simply hanging out with friends. I attend this Birmingham locale frequently, and i am never disappointed by the service I receive there. Whenever I have questions, staff members are always willing to help. The selection of goods is nearly endless and the Lunchables are always stocked in the refrigerated section. There is even a built in Starbucks outlet within the Kroger. I truly think that with the friendly customer service, low prices, and overall ambiance; Kroger is a great place to shop or just to bool with your bros.Sincerely,Sir Kotaro
Customer Service counter was very unprofessional. Conversating with employees while customers are waiting to be serviced. She didnt even acknowledge us standing there.
Cant say much positive or negative. Had most of what I wanted. Was out of Diet Pepsi bottles though. Had to get other cans. Bummer!
Using shopping list app. Organized items by aisle . No wasted time searching for a specific item.
Its Monday 11/19 @about 9:45 amDo my shopping, head to self check out. I have the mini small Cart because im making 2 different small purchase .One for myself and one for my Client. Both orders are under 15 items each. The Older Guy (i will NOT say gentle man) thats the attendant watches me like a hawk. There was plenty of other people at the other stations, but he only watches me. Im on phone with my older brother so i let it be known that i see what he is doing vocally over the phone- he finally turns away and just goes to stand behind me to watch me. I finish ringing up both my orders and as im walking away, i say to him I noticed yu only watched me and i will be going to yur managers about it. (Like really dude its not my fault the best yu could do in life is be a glorified bag boy. Some deserve the resepct i give because they do they job with the up most Respect but this dude is just rude.) As soon as i say that, hes like Excuse me? Which let me know he heard everything i said to my brothrr about him watching me. Mind yu my brother was on video chat and is in state law enforcement. So i let him see by turning the screen so he could see the guy.I walk away and go to the customer service desk to drop $20 into the charity box (theyre adopting 2 familys for the holidays, or so they say 😒 but i never miss a chance to give to those in need) and to let the lady behind the counter know what happens .She assures me she will let managers know and i thank her and walk away.Get out to car, put groceries into trunk and see i forgot something .So i had to go back in. As soon as i get in i notice that instead of going to the managers, she went straight to him and talked about it and allowed him to just brush it off. I stood there listening (dont know if they knew i was standing right there) ANGRY but still let it pass. Yu only know what the boss lets yu get away with .Tho, Proper protocol is to speak only to a manager and let them speak to him. But No. She stepped out of her place.Worst Location ever. For such a small store compared to the others yu would think they would act better but alas NO. The location dont make the store, the integrity of the employees do. The guy at the other self checkout lines (the ones whose door leads to Maple road) was Very polite and friendly .If i ever do go to that location again, i will only go though his lanes. Hes there most days anyway. I usually go to the one just north of Coolidge anyway.
Wow! Has this place ever gone down hill! On the Friday of Super Bowl weekend, there is only ONE cashier working the Express Checkout (I guess nobody buys more then 15 items at a time here) and the attendant at the Self Checkout was yelling at a customer for buying 28 jars of baby food at one time. I went through the Express line with only one customer ahead of me. She bought a bottle of wine and two bundt cakes and I had a grand total of 8 items and it STILL took a HALF HOUR to ring up my groceries! If you have to shop here, look for a cashier named Maryam. Otherwise, be prepared to waste hours of time just trying to pay for your food. This used to be such a nice store....not anymore.
The food is very fresh but the prices are way too high if you dont posses a Kroger card
Clean and neat. Great staff...Fast and efficient.
The pharmacist is the worst. I stopped at the pharmacy today after visiting urgent care, where I was diagnosed with the flu. I was percribed Tamaflu - a time sensitive medication. I arrived at the pharmacy at 7:45PM where I was ignored by both individuals until 7:58PM. I was then rudely told by the pharmacist that she was closing in a minute and refused to fill my rx. Being from out of town without a car, I then had to walk 10 minutes to Walgreen’s. This was shocking behavior for someone who is supposed to assist the ill. I spoke to the store manager as well, who didn’t take any action or apologize.
Love the cleanliness of the store And the helpful staff...Im always greeted with a smile and they are so helpful. Love the recent upgrades and remodeling too!!
Great selection of fresh produce and alchohal. The fresh sushi is amazing!
A wonderful place to get groceries, as well as very helpful staff
This Kroger is one of my favorites and the insiders tip is that always have great clearance items.
Clean, amd fresh. It doesnt have as good of deals as my normal kroger but its also in a much nicer neighbourhood.
Great healthy food section and I like the in house Chase
This Kroger has a bit more to offer than most. Their sushi is actually the best in Birmingham. Their deli has build your own mac and cheese that they put through a slow cooked oven, it tastes great! Plus a nice clean kroger experience. My only complaint is that they dont always have the popcorn chicken.. its amazing and i would buy it every day if theu had it available.
Always clean, friendly and well stocked. My favorite Kroger!
Beautiful store. Everything you want is out of stock though.
