Stunning is the result. I needed all wood craftsman windows that retained the historic detail of the house. They ordered the best quality wood window, had the trim hand milled, and stained it to match the other woodwork. Every historic detail was included and the installation and workmanship was impeccable.
Fast, friendly service!! We had trouble at work with our front door. Called in the morning and they were here and done by noon! We will be using them in the future for sure! Thank you!!!
Horrible experience. Can’t put a window in plumb or square AND tried to triple the amount owed. Wouldn’t recommend them to my enemy. Wish “0” stars was an option. Clearly the positive reviews are written by employees... wait, He doesn’t have employees, just contractors who work for him full time (bragged it’s how he avoids osha). Complaints filed with the state, BBB, and anyone else who will listen.
Great service! Doors and windows were exceptional!
Better business bureau does not give Rocky Mountain Doors a good rating because of all the problems that have been reported to them. We also had problems a few years back. We paid $6800 for 4 doors, never did get 2 of them and the other 2 were of such poor quality they have also been replaced. Bob is really a very disappointing and dishonest person.
We have purchased many doors from Rocky Mountain Doors through the years. We have found them to be folks of high integrity and always going above and beyond what they promised to do. Their doors are much better than what you can buy at the big box stores.
Rocky Mountain Doors custom made all of my doors in my office building. The workmanship was top quality. Hardy Construction installed the doors and continually commented on how well made they were. Rocky Mountain doors also stained all my moldings, doors and exposed beams. They were efficent on time and delivered what they said they would deliver. Our building has been in operation for over three years now and every day I get compliments on the doors and beautiful trim. They continue to work flawlessly. I would recommend Rocky Mountain Doors without hesitation to any and all of my friends.Marc OlsenOlsen Ortho Studio

Great customer service and knowledge. Very pleased with the finished products. Highly recommend this company for all your door needs.
I had a great experience with Rocky Mountain Doors! The owner was professional and did an excellent job in a timely manner. I highly recommend this company.
Courteous and well knowledgeable. Had a great experience with RMD. Recommend 100%. You won’t be disappointed! On time, and everything turned out perfect!
When I ordered the doors I asked why you would have to paint the doors if they are primed white (the same as all my trim and baseboards) and installed inside. Was told I did not have to paint. Hired a man on a Sunday to install and when we opened them they were a tan color, not white. I spent 8 hours painting 20 doors to have them ready the next day. We were then short one pkg of hardware so I called them. They said O Yeah, they are right on the counter, they got mixed up in blanket when we delivered. I had to leave my home, go pick them up and take to job site. They should have contacted me right away so could have saved time. Also two of the doors were not cut right and had to pay to have them cut to fit by the installer. Overall very expensive and no one seemed concerned about the inconvenience it caused.Very disappointed.
We were excited to have our french doors at the office sealed to keep the drafty winter weather out. They said the best seal would fix it would be expensive at almost 300 installed. We bit the bullet and got it installed it kept the air out but rendered one of our doors permanently unusable. Causing issues for our clients we asked that they come back out and put a different style in, but as it was not installed correctly it did nothing to keep the weather out. So they removed it attempted to adjust the original worn seals and called it good. Being that these seals were worn and I had paid so much for the repair I reached out to speak to a manager on multiple times with no reply. Giving up that they would complete the work as agreed originally I decided to leave a review. I should have read their reviews prior to hiring them as they only had 2 stars.
Very Disappointed. Called about a door problem & John came out and made a proposal, which I accepted. After a few days when I had not heard anything, I called again. The owner, Bob, called back and left a curt voice mail and canceled the project. Very confusing. John said one thing, Bob said another. I was left to find another vendor, which I did.
Rocky Mountain Doors is the Best. Their products are far superior then Box Stores and their professional installation makes sure it’s right. I would highly recommend...
Most knowledgeable and best craftsmanship.
There are companies so bad I wouldn’t recommend them to my worst enemy. My experience with Rocky Mountain Doors (RMD) falls short of that level. They aren’t evil, nasty, or truly harmful. I just can’t recommend them to friends. My dissatisfaction stems from the poor quality of the door they sold me and their actions afterwards.RMD installed the door in July 2014. I initially believed it was a quality product. After the first winter I found rain water dampened my inside carpets under the door but I could not tell how the water was getting in. By the spring/summer of 2017 the problem got much worse with water seeping under the door’s windows, coming through the door itself. I found the cause. The weight of the glass had caused the corners of the window frame to crack. These cracks effectively created a funnel, streaming rain water into the door and into my carpet and floor. My confidence in the “quality doors” was shattered. I was once told, “Customer confidence is gained in drops and lost in gallons.” Bob said this was covered under warranty and he would order new frames. The new frames would be better, stronger, blah, blah, blah and they wouldn’t crack like the ones I had before. It would take a week or two to get the new frames. So I caulked the cracks and no more leaks. This was around August or September of 2017.Sometimes bad things happen. The measure of a company isn’t that bad things never happen, but what a company does and how it reacts when bad things happen. After more than a month I called to inquire. I was told the frames were never made. The order was “lost” on someone’s desk. So…now I was going to get an even better frame, blah, blah, blah to make up for the delay. Fast forward towards the end of January…I had to go to the store to finally find the frames had arrived. On Jan 24, 2018 new frames were installed. I was shocked when I was handed an invoice. I understood these were covered under warranty. It seems we had a misunderstanding. The frames were covered, but the installation wasn’t covered. Installation is only covered for the first year. What? Even for an obvious design flaw? These frames were a time bomb. They were going to fail. I guess if doors lasting about 20 months is acceptable to you then youve come to the right place. As a customer I HAD confidence that I was buying a quality product backed up by a quality company. I’m disappointed on both accounts.I understand RMD is a business but when I pay for quality, I expect quality, not ongoing aggravation. I have a $385 invoice claiming $100 to stain frames which I imagine to be less than a 20 minute job (i.e. $300 per hour) and $285 for installation (which took a little less than 45 minutes (i.e. $380 per hour)). Now I don’t know about you, but I have never come close to making $300 per hour. If you do, then perhaps RMD is a reasonable choice for you, but if you make less than that, you may just want to try someplace that backs up their claims of quality with… uh, quality. This really is the crux of the issue. Not only did they sell me a defective product, but to rectify the defect, they are making a profit. The adjectives that come to my mind are less than kind about Rocky Mountain Doors.I don’t expect RMD to take a loss because of another manufacturer’s defect. But I do expect them to stand behind the products they sell.I do not dislike any of the people I have met at RMD but I cant recommend them to friends. The quality of the window frames was inadequate for what they are expected to do. This created a situation that partially flooded my bedroom and potentially caused damage to my house, carpets, flooring, furniture, and created great concern and effort to locate the cause of a problem that should never have happened in the first place. And to add insult to injury, the company that installed them makes a profit to fix the problem. Shameful. So, if I don’t like you, I recommend that you get your doors from Rocky Mountain Doors. If I like you, do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.
The most horrible experience that my family(parents) have had to deal with over a door. I was there to see the installation of doors, and the outcome, the had to replace the doors 3 times, because of yes defective doors and now they are still battling to get the door fixed because of their worst customer service ever that could happen over a door. Just own up to your mistakes. Obviously its not false because of the other reviews explaining similar experiences.
