I went in to use the atm, but decided to do a little shopping after. The store is big and well stocked. They have an organic whole food section in there. Wasnt super busy, so I didnt have to push through crowded isles. They have regular and self check out. Nice store👍. $$$ a bit pricey, but to be expected In the current economy.

Its a very nice and clean store the staff is Is knowledgeable and theyre very good at what they do. The problem with this place is that the prices are astronomically high when you can go down the street in any town to a Star Market or to a Market Basket and get the same items for sometimes up to $4 less that I have seen. I wonder sometimes if they should put less money into those silly robots going up and down the aisles and more money into making things cheaper like the competitors. Less Marty, more reasonable prices!

I dont leave many reviews, and almost never a negative experience. However, this is by far the worst customer service experience I have had in quite sometime. Due to a disability, Im a bit slower than your average person, thus customer service rep. actually assisted me, then jumped onto the self-help register over a bag of oranges....wow...then demanded to see a receipt after seeing me pay!! Oh, and her co-worker had to apologize.

Good,but so trying hard to skew upscale. Less cashiers than Marketplace. But open one more hour than Whole Foods, so the best place to get those last-minute breakfast necessities that you forgot to get earlier.

Love the people and store … smaller to get around ..There is one thing I would like to see changed .. you rarely have any baggers for groceries …. The customer should not be bagging. This is a service that should be supplied by your store😔

Beware of spoiled meat at this store- leg of lamb and beef honeycomb tripe.Today I encountered yet another spoiled meat pack they provide at reduced price- this time it’s beef honeycomb tripe. I had bought more than once of their leg of lamb (also at reduced price)- which is a staple item right beside the seafoods, and both times the meat was spoiled. First time this happened I thought maybe because I stored it in fridge for another couple of days before cooking and it’s supposed to be consumed right after purchase- hence the reduced price. But the second time when I opened the meat right after the grocery shopping trip and the smell was already very pungent- so meat was spoiled at the store. Tripe was same story- opened after only a couple hours of fridge. I complained to the manager about the lamb and he said he’ll look into it. But I have to say I’ve noticed that packs of leg of lamb at reduced price are still on shelf there- haven’t experimented ever since. So beware. The manager mentioned they need enough complaint of the same issue to note it’s a problem- don’t know why one spoiled meat is not enough to act. So please call to complain if you encounter the same or similar problems.In the end, I’d like to add I’ve shopped here for a year now and been otherwise pleased with its diversity of items and especially grocery. Hope things will be better soon!

The person who gathered all my items for pickup was the same person who brought them to the car. She was wonderful - informative and helpful since this was my first time ordering online for pickup. You have a great staff person.

I love Stop & Shop, their organic isle has all my needs conveniently placed and they lack of nothing, I even get dragon fruit there.

I was disappointed with an employee working in the Seafood department in this store. He was not wearing gloves when getting my salmon and was tossing it around when trying to get the weight of it. Somebody should tell him to follow Covid rules! He also had a bad attitude as well. Needless to say I will not be buying fish at this store!

Was in there today and I was getting a couple things. I did self check out. The cream cheese that I was buying rang up at 5.99 and the price said 4.79. The girl starts lookin through the sale paper and I said its not on sale. So she goes to 2 other girls comes back with one girl and says it rings up 5.99. I said I know what it rings up at but its wrong. Then I said just give me the cream cheese because Im sick of waiting. OMG people I just wanna get out of the store. FIX YOUR PRICES IF YOUR GOING TO GIVE PEOPLE A HARD TIME!!! I wont go in that store in Beverly anymore!!!!

I’m afraid I won’t be back and not because of the wonderful and helpful people. However, my car was hit pretty significantly in the parking lot and the cameras setup were of such poor quality that the culprit could not be identified. Apparently this happens quite a bit according to the police and supervisor Who reviewed the film. However, how can one be assured of protection if the security cameras are inadequate? I’ll have to find a store that can better protect me and my family.

The best part about unpacking my groceries from this Stop and Shop is finding all the expired items that they sell. This time I got a yogurt that expired October 2nd.

The convience to my home makes shopping here easy, however I generally shop at 7-730am and there is only one cashier and no baggers. Ive spoken to the manager several times with little response. If the store is open at this time of day and earlier for seniors, there should be at least one bagger or manager to help. If i wished to bag my own groceries i could shop at a less expensive store

Its a nice looking store, very clean. However its organized in a way that is not intuitive, to me at least. And my 2.5 bags of average groceries came to $78. Exact same groceries wouldve been maybe $55 at MB. I dont have money to throw away on the same groceries or time to waste looking all over for things that are in spots that make no sense. Plus I loathe the creepy smiling bot that pops out from the aisles to ogle ppl.Yikes

This place needs a lot of work. The pandemic certainly caused issues, but the management needs to step up their efforts.Though Ill admit finding dirt cheap clearance items is always fun. Id still choose another location if it was within walking range.

This stop and shop is my most frequented supermarket. Every time I go, it makes me happy. Its just that sometimes things I like are often not sold in the store, which bothers me. And sometimes the discount information in the store is not reflected at checkout, and it is often there. Very troublesome.

Stop and Shop is my go-to out of all of Beverlys grocery stores. They have a decent selection of vegetarian goods, and regular sales on several items we buy regularly (often $2 off per item). That makes them very competitive with even discount grocery stores. Check out is pretty fast and the layout is very logical - its what I like best about the store. Produce is very fresh and they have a good variety of foods including organic. I also can find certain brands I cannot find anywhere else, which I appreciate. The fact that it has its own dedicated parking lot is efficient, I never have to hunt for a spot. Would give a 4.5 if possible, the store could just use a little more prepared foods or refrigerated foods from their kitchen.

I was shopping yesterday and there was an outrageous customer swearing and screaming at a manager then I get to the register and the employee had gloves and a mask on, he pulled down his mask and wiped his nose then put mask back up and proceeded to ring my groceries with the hand that still held his Kleenex. I will never again walk into that store, NASTY!!!

The shelves are consistently under stocked, or not stocked at all, yet Market Basket is always stocked appropriately.

It was ok. Didnt have all that we came in for but hopefully next time theyll have fruit cut up.

Thier extensive cup selection exceeded my expectations and truly satisfied my needs for beverage transport. Cashiers are fantastic and urged me to have a nice day. This nudged my dead heart and almost summoned me from miserable existence. Ample parking.

Expensive and produce isnt very fresh, they should rotate there veggies and fruit more often.

Good old Stop and Shop! This time of year, usually so busy! I lucked out tonight! Ran in to get a few things. Found everything I needed and an open register! Some terrific Christmas gifts and hard searched for battery run flickering flame candles.

Great food selection, if anything could be adjusted I would recommend managers keep track of check out lines, especially 12 and under lanes. And perhaps picking up dropped produce under there tables. All in all a really good store.

Ive been shopping here for 5 years because its in my neighborhood. Most of the cashiers are congenial, some are just plain miserable. My main complaint is the amount of items that they stop supplying. I can name at LEAST ten items that Ive grown to love, and then BAM, they no longer carry it. From Cape Cod cranberry mustard to mandarin orange salad dressing, etc.

Always though this was one of the oddest S&S in the area, but have been shopping there out of convenience when necessary. No more. Shopped there Sunday Sept. 8th. Yesterday the carrots I bought were slimy when i went to use the right out of the bag. The Sweet onions were leaking (a in the bag I put/bought them in (a sign of rot). And then this morning: Strike 3- the Blueberries I bought were already moldy. Picked through the good one (about 10) and had to toss the rest. I should have done the same with the carrots and onions but had a meal to prepare. I think i am done with this location of S&S. Too bad. Speaks poorly about the organization.

Went to buy some lottery tickets, girl at customer service desk is miserable, no eye contact, no smile and very mean. I love this store but this girl is not happy to be there.

Its a reliable grocery, with good deli and prepared foods. Their guacamole is spicy and filled with avocado. Its pricey but worth the money.

Its weird that you can review a grocery store on here because most grocery stores are very similar. Stop & Shop is the quintessential New England supermarket, they even mentioned it on Family Guy. Over the past few years they have gotten a lot more vegetarian products and I like that.

The worst customer service

I hate the doors. Love the selection. Not the best prices, so I have to be careful. Love the self check - nicely done. Some areas very messy. Love the meat selection. Great seafood. Bakery is okay, not great. Cant find breads I want - not a good selection. The produce department is really nice with great selection. Organic section very nice. Lots of gluten free items, which are usually hard to find in other stores. Trouble with weak selection of froyo, frustrating. Soda is pretty expensive, even when on sale, compared to other stores. I hate the pharmacy/meds area. High prices on dog and cat foods and weak sales there. Deli is wonderful. Staff are usually very nice. The bottle/can return is dirty and disgusting and the machines are not maintained. Well designed parking lot and easy to move around. Plenty of carts.

Stop & Shop well Stop & Shop it all depends on which one you go to sometimes you have to start easier on the right or the left the one were talking about here is I like that on the right I just start go down get my bread my milk stuff like that come up the frozen food aisle then go around all the stuff come down and get some drinks and then go back up go to the deli the fish market all that stuff and then finish out so I can get some fresh fruit and come right out the door at the register and head on home to unload

The products are more expensive than the competition and are not fully supplied after the pandemic. There are no more fresh fish, eggs, and frozen vegetables. And several other products are not being replaced as in the competing market.

Wouldve been 3 stars but the fact I can get right in even during this pandemic boosts this store to 5 stars.

Im not a big fan of Stop & Shop but in this town theyre the only option. The store is in great condition, with a polite and helpful staff. I still Much prefer Market Basket.

Convenient lots of prking a regular stop for lunch and groceries plenty of registers open most of the time..points off for the bathroom smell lack of ventilation and no matter what time of day I go there is something unpleasant to see in there and often one of the doors or fixtures dosent operate properly.Ive notified them twice.

This was our local go to shopping market. They hired elderly and handicap folks, prices were okay, average to higher than so you had to keep your eyes open for deals to save 💰.The workers just went on strike, and the store came to an agreement just recently at the time of this review. Unfortunately for the consumer, they seemed to pass on the cost of the higher salaries on to us. Pricing has dramatically increased on most groceries through the store.Another complaint is they leave the greens out until they rot. I have brought home bags of spinach and lettuce, only to have it spoil within a day of purchase. This is something we have complained to the management before, but it continues to be a problem.Because of these problems, now (reluctantly) shop at market basket. It is a much longer drive, but for someone concerned with feeding his family while watching my wallet, the inconvenience is worth it.
