I would give 0 stars if it was an option. I’m not sure how they are with service on cars, but the man at the front desk was the most unprofessional person I have seen. I waited for awhile before he would even help me and witnessed him being rude to others as well. He told me it would be an hour and a half for an oil change. One person said they were told it would be an hour and a half for an oil change and had been waiting over 3 hours. Another person wanted to leave their car in the lot for their appointment the next day and he told them he couldn’t talk to them and they had to come back on the day of their appointment. I will not ever go back to this business.

Nothing much to say, other then I feel they were quick and efficient. 5 stars because I was in and out and all is well.They did the oil change on my 14 Camaro. Much cheaper then Dealership and by far better then Valvoline.

Attempted to make an oil change appointment online for the next day. The website showed this to be open and available and selected my time preference. I then waited several hours to be contacted. I never was so I called the location before they closed and explained the situation. According to the person that answered the phone... 1-He had no idea why the website said I would be contacted (because you know, why would that happen when you request an appointment?), and 2-they were entirely, completely booked for the next 6 days! Being booked from open to close for the next 6 business days to the point that you cant possibly fit in a 25 minute (or less) oil change seems slightly incredible. Plus, there is an obvious disconnect between the website and reality. Its unfortunate I wasted a day waiting to be contacted when I could have just called and found out they were booked so that I could find somewhere else to go.

This place is great. They always work to find out what the problem is and are extremely fair in their prices.

Ended up getting help from John today and received 11/10 customer service. He was incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to help me.

Outstanding Customer Service! Took my vehicle in for a complete overhaul check up and to see if I needed new brake pads. Wanted to confirm it was in tip top shape to sell. I even authorized the manager Kelly to replace brake pads if necessary, check filters and such. She assured me they would do a thorough check and would let me know if anything was needed. An hour later, Kelly said everything was perfect just as I suspected and no services were necessary until the next 3000 mile oil change or longer. She assured me the brake pads were in great shape and didnt need replacing for a few seasons. Wow, cant say Ive ever been to a service center that didnt try and make unnecessary repairs, the last shop wanted an ungodly amount of money for new brakes I didnt even need!!! Thank you Kelly for running a quality, efficient and HONEST business.. I will gladly return and recommend my friends to Car-x on Devils Glen.

I called and the gentleman scheduled my oil change for 2pm and when we took our vehicle in....we were told our appointment was for 4 by a different person. I told them thats a lie. I knew my schedule because I had plans at other times that day. The lady said... we have appointments already at 1:30, 2 and 2:30 and I said I know. Mine was at 2.I hope the manager sees this. That lady was rude.

Went in because I had a screw in my tire. The service was fast and friendly. In and out in 20 minutes, 30$ for a tire patch. I’ll definitely use this shop again if needed.

Excellent service at a competitive price. I stopped in without an appointment to check availability, and the Manager, Kelly, and Technician, Ryan, were very friendly and accommodating. They shuffled one of their errands to get me in very timely. I got a straightforward service with no pressure to buy any additional services. I also observed how warm, friendly and respectful they both were to an elderly customer the were working with. It was like she was family. Had a small problem that just kept getting worse.Luckily Kelly didnt tease me for trying to fix it myself.Instead she cautiously worked through the issues as they presented.All in all it was a great experience and I am very glad to have met a mechanic that I will be bringing all of my issues to.Because I will find new and invenive ways to break my stuff :(

This place was great! I had a small leak in my tire and was putting air in it a lot. I was able to call them at this time of year (Christmas) and get it taken care of in a matter of minutes, when other places couldn’t see me for a few days. The price was fair and reasonable for a small nail and I haven’t had to put air in my tire since. Highly recommend!

I have been coming here for years and everytime everyone is so helpful. Just saw one employee go out of her way to help a new young driver experiencing issues with his old car. She even walked outside with him to take a closer look.

Kelly and Ryan have taken such good care of our vehicles over the past few months. We have had one issue after another that has brought us in on three different vehicles. The team has done everything to not only meet our needs and expectations but have done it in the most cost effective manner possible.

Really amazing service. My husband usually does the work on my car but needed to bring it in for something he couldnt figure out. 2 Ladies went above and beyond to figure it out. I really felt they took the time to explain to me what was wrong. I will definitely be back here again if needed to have my car worked on.

This is by far my favorite place to go when I need anything done to my car. Kelly is wonderful and knowledgable and I always feel the best in her store! She never acts like you are unintelligent as she explains what needs to be done. Hands down I trust her and her team!

The female working was incredibly rude and acted like my business was a inconvenience. It was Memorial Day and they were open until 4pm. We arrived at 1230 the lady started screaming at us about where to park. Then continued to yell about us arriving at 1230, telling us “I will close at 4pm and leave at 4pm because some ppl want to spend time with their family today”. We spent $58 and regret it. We will not give Carx our business again because of the females lack of customer service skills.

Awesome work! I had spoke with Kelly and Ryan about my suv. They made my suv run like new. I recommend them over the one Davenport. All the work that I needed to be done was 914.87 but the other place wanted 1328.67.

I scheduled an oil change and wont be scheduling anywhere else in the future. I received excellent customer service from the General Manager. Not only was the service quick, I was offered hot cocoa during my short wait, I was treated as a valued customer (first time going), and I was given paperwork on tire replacement costs that I had mentioned when I first got there. The price on the oil change and tire estimate were great! It was twice as expensive when I called the place across the street. I would recommend the team at Car X to anyone who believes they deserve excellent service.

Been here three times, excellent service every time. People who are bashing these guys seem to have no clue what customer service truly is. Auto work is not like Starbucks or McDonalds, cant be done in 3 minutes. Too many whiners anymore. They guy who wanted to take his own parts there? Do you take your own food to the restaurant? Jet mechanic? If you are that skilled fix your own brakes. These guys work hard to please everyone even as hard as it has become with the way the world is becoming. Things take time to be done right. Give this shop a chance you will be pleased you did.

I’d give 0 stars if it let me. Nothing but attitude and rudeness right off the bat. Just trying to get our brakes replaced. The lady told us if she does the breaks and we hear a noise or problem to NOT come back beacause “she’s not doing that”. After telling her what was wrong with them she straight up told us she’s not going to do them after we had already scheduled an appointment and took time off of work to have them done.

This place was super friendly and fast with my oil change/tire rotation. The waiting area was decent as far as a service shop goes. The only thing I have to say about this location is that people need to call ahead to see what the shops schedule is like. I drove in on a Friday expecting to get an oil change without an appointment, but nope! They were booked solid through the weekend and I couldnt come in until late Monday. I guess that means they either need to hire more mechanics or business is just booming! Thanks for the good service!

Customer service has always been very welcoming. They tell me what my car needs and don’t try to sell me a bunch of other stuff. Always very respectful and get my oil change done in a timely manner. :)

CarX fixed the gas pump on my truck this past weekend. They demonstrated a high quality of knowledge on my vehicle and also were courteous enough to clean my entire engine for me. They also got me an appointment right away so that I didnt further damage my vehicle by driving it.

I have been here multiple times when needing things done from routine maintenance to check engine light problems. They always get me in quickly, even on short notice, and charge fairly. They are reasonable people and my car always drives away better than it came.

Used to go to Jiffy Lube for oil changes but had to go to Carx to patch a tire up. I worked with Kelly, the manager, and her service was phenomenal and timely and she made sure to take care of me and give me the best recommendations that I had to come back for an oil change. I have been going to this Car-X location for about a year and I have always found them to be helpful. I am not very car savvy myself but have good common sense and I dont feel like I have ever been screwed over here. They are always willing to explain things I dont understand and they have even saved me money. Some of the employees even know me by name (I might just visit too often). I drive 600 mi a week for work and they have always handled maintenance and repairs issues quickly and professionally. I would definitely recommend going to this Car-X location!

I was traveling here from the Philadelphia PA area. I went to check my tire pressure because I got an alert that 1 tire was low. After figuring out which tire was low, my TPMS had not been reset correctly, I noticed that there was a nail in the tread and another tire looked dry-rotted.So I stopped in and the manager & mechanic agreed with me.4 new tires and a TPMS reset later I am a happy camper. It took about 15 minutes per tire.My 2009 Suburban will make it home to the Philadelphia area safely.

I came to CarX to get an oil change. After the technicians performed a routine inspection of my car, they found that my brakes needed to be replaced. Rather than just telling me what was wrong, the manager offered to take me out to the shop and show me how my brakes looked and what good brakes should looked like. I really appreciated the honest and quality work that was done. As a mother of two children, I dont have all the time in the world to be leaving my car to get repaired. Although it wasnt needed, the manager offered to give me a ride if I needed to get something done while my car was being worked on. Like I said...it wasnt needed but definitely appreciated. While on vacation in Hillsdale, our engine light came on and the engine was missing. Kelly was able to fit us in on Memorial Day and did an awesome job. She is a treasure! Turned out a critter chewed through some wires and the ignition coul. She knows her stuff and explained everything to us. If I lived in the area, I would take all my car repairs there! Got a quote, way to high so i bought all my own parts, brought it back.. Got a higher and completely different quote. Not getting the work done there. I fix aircraft for a living.. I know a break pad doesnt cost $100. Typical up charge

Great Full Service Station:I had four new tires mounted with new TPMS sensors, a four wheel aliment, and a new front axle installed. Bettendorf CarX got all this work done in one day and came in $300 under what I had Google estimated it’d cost. They even special ordered the tires that I wanted; (a style not kept in stock) before I dropped off the van so that everything could be completed quickly.I highly recommend them.

Do not take your BMW here! I wouldnt trust these guys to fix my coffee. I bought a set of Uniroyal tires with an alignment from these guys. The tires were nice but the car didnt seem right so I took it back six months later and paid for another alignment. 13,000 miles into the new tires they were ruined. The manager basically told me too bad sorry Charlie. Then I took my wifes Beemer to Theisens for another set of tires and another alignment. They put the new tires on but the manager said that they didnt have the proper equipment to align it. Right answer, this is what car x should have told me. So, I took the car to Brady Street Imports. They told me that car x hadnt aligned the REAR END, only the front end hence the ruined first set of tires. After Brady Street Imports properly aligned the entire car with the new Theisens Hankook tires I couldnt be happier. It has been about a year now and the tires still look like new and the car drives like a dream.

Car ex is god offal, they tried To charge me $48 for an oil change saying my car takes special oil (it does not) and they said i needed $200 worth of work because my strut was bad and my tire was about to fall off. checked it when I got home and no wheel play what so ever. But decided to take it to my mechanic to have them check it over. He said there was nothing wrong. He asked if I had come from Car X before I even told him. He said he had other ppl that where told they had problems and needed work done when they didnt. I would not trust them at all!

Getting you vehicle fixed has to be one of the worst experiences until now!! Times are hard and our vehicle has been having major problems. I decided to give Car X a chance after already receiving 3 quotes at other locations. Without their knowledge of this, the general manager not only fixed our vehicle for HALF THE PRICE of all 3 other quotes, but was upfront and honest about the things that we did not need done! Please tell me any place that would do this to s stranger. I realize companies need to make money but not at the expense of adding things to a bill that are not required. I will never go anywhere else but Car-X in Bettendorf and I highly recommend them to everyone needing service or maintenance. Staff, quality of work, pricing, and service all top notch A+++++++++++++++++

Lied about the condition of my tires in order to try to sell me new tires rather than fixing nail holes. The manager is unethical and this place will never see another of my vehicles.

NEVER GO HERE. I went in for the advertised oil change, was over-charged, and given an estimate for $1300+ in needed repairs. After less than a month, my oil light came on so I took it to a local shop. Oil was leaking from my car because Car-X failed to completely screw in my oil plug. I had lost over 3 quarts (out of 5) of my oil. This mechanic also checked out my necessary repairs and found only one minor problem. For such a large company I am very upset they would be so careless. I will never go to Car-X again.
