Happened on this little gem with great atmosphere and excellent lattes plus a handful of pastries. I was looking for a place to work for an hour or so, and the floor-to-ceiling windows, sparse crowd, and coffee were perfect. I’ll be back. Kinda wish they had lunch food, but it also meant I didn’t feel bad just getting a latte and almond tart. Reminds me of La Gelatteria but without the hot food.
My sister brought me here because its one of her favorite cafes in the area. I got the most delicious tumeric latte and she got an affogato. We enjoyed sitting at the outdoor tables and just chatting. The inside seating is also very nice with lots of plants and natural lighting. I would definitely come here again and try more items on the menu!
I was on my way to pick up a sushi order and passed by, not thinking they would be open on a cold November (4th) night. Thankfully I was wrong! I was able to get a fantastic fresh cup of coffee. I wish I had more time because the gelatos looked really really good. Next time I am on Bethesda thats the place Ill be ordering from.
This is a great little shop, with a wonderful local feel. The staff is upbeat and outgoing. The music playlists always are quality. Of course we cant forget the delicious selection of pastry, gelato and sorbet. My favorite is the dark chocolate sorbet! all the flavors are worth trying if you are feeling adventurous. Lastly the tea and coffee are full flavor and compliments the desserts perfectly. Im a big fan of the dirty chai latte. Its worth making the visit. Its clean with Indoor and outdoor seating.
Wonderful place got Gelato and Coffee. It would be nice if they had a few more food options, but can’t complain!Staff was nice and respectful, but doesn’t go above and beyond.Would recommend for a quick coffee stop.
The woman at Pitango was super cheerful and the cappuccino and iced tea were both perfectly brewed. Need to come back for the sour cherry sorbet!
Nice new Cafe addition to the hood if you dont want Starbucks. The almond milk matcha latte was quite good.
Gelato is good, not too much sweet. My two children really like it.
If you love chocolate the chocolate gelato is what you want. The chocolate sorbet is good too.
Latte & Hot Chocolate burnt and watery - went 2x. Staff needs training!! Waste of 9$.
Thank you for a great hot chocolate in this rainy day. It is a first in a very long time which tastes like real chocolate and not too sweet like in other places. Wish you well!
Always fresh, cool and refreshing. If you dont like this place you must not like Gelato...
My favorite coffee place atm. Also it is mostly a gelato place lol.
Went in for a cup of black coffee. Really bad, Watery and flavorless. More like a bland tea than a black coffee. Bottom of the cup full of sediment and coffee grounds. Like an unacceptable amount. Bad coffee at a coffee shop. Pretty bad.. Never see anyone in here, maybe this is why. Two employees giggling behind the counter in a literally empty shop serving coffee full of sediment...
Such a cute little gelato and coffee cafe!I came in to try their italian sippingchocolate. The employee working there kindly explained what it was and what type and brand of chocolate they use. I decided to get the sipping chocolate with whole milk. It was delicious!! The type of chocolate was a very dark which I appreciated. The whole milk went perfectly with the rich chocolate.I cant wait to go back to get another sipping chocolate soon!
Only had the mint lemonade, but it was very good
Got a sipping Choclate and a dirty chai latte. Both tasted absolutely wonderful. The meal ticket however was the choclate croissant. Flaky layers, a crisp crunchy outside, soft moist layers inside with chocolate that was just divine and felt like each bite melted into your taste buds. And not in an overly sweet way.
Ice cream was good, the mojito is very sweet for my taste but it is good, strawberry and chocolate were good, they also have cookies and those are great. Pastry is also really good and the price is fair overall. Everything was organic and the cows are fat free feed. I will recomend this place
The fresh milk and high quality eggs make the Gelato heavenly!
Ive been to the Pitango shop in DC a dozen or so times and was ecstatic that they were opening a new one in Bethesda. Long story short, this is the best gelato Ive had outside of Italy and honestly its pretty close to the offerings there. The coffee and chocolate hazelnut are creamy, so rich in flavor, and the perfect summer treat. Would recommend :)
Great coffee. Staff was helpful and knowledgable. 5 stars
Delicious gelato with unique variety of flavor offerings.
Just as good as the locations in DC! 10/10 recommend. Their gelato is perfect. They are now open, you just can’t go inside yet. You can order to go. But trust me, it’s worth it.
The ice cream was over priced, bland, and miniscule servings. Definitely not worth the exorbitant price. As well a having a rude owner. Just have dessert at the restaurant you came from. Id rather have gone to Baskin-Robbins down the street even though its my last choice. I guess I have a new last choice now.
The best gelato in the area
Review is for their COVID precautions.Customers in line were not social distancing. Customers at tables were not eating or drinking, but still not wearing masks. Children and elderly were present. I wanted to stop by for a cup of coffee but despite walking by several times over about 30 minutes it never appeared safe.
This place is lovely, pastries are delicious, cold brew coffee excellent and gelato is amazing!!! A+++
Most delicious frozen dessert in Bethesda but minus 1 star for price.
