Very nice selection of outerwear and the employees there were helpful and friendly. Be mindful that there was a long line to get into the store due to COVID protocols, and once you are inside, you cannot try any of the items on. That being said, it’s a nice, spacious store with good deals, worth the trek.

Great sales this weekend 70% off clearance items

The North Face Outlet is like Ross or TJ Maxx, you’ll just walk away with one or two great items at outlet prices. The men’s section is missing shorts. There are no shorts for men. Staff at the door lets you know about the promo they are pushing, I just hate when they ask you who helped you with your purchases. These workers are working in Berkeley, Ca, but can’t afford to live in Berkeley, Ca. Just saying.

High quality, normally very expensive outdoor clothing, daypacks, etc. marked down to sometimes reasonable prices. We just got two high-tech rain jackets that list at $250 for $100 each, and most items are 25 to 60% off. Helpful staff. Choices of models and sizes are variable; you have to look (and ask). It may help to have done some online research first, or on the spot on your phone.

You dont see North Face on sale or on discount at many locations. This is a true outlet location as I bought a $300 jacket for $70. Most items are 50% off normal prices.

Went to the North Face Outlet for the first time in over a year. Had to wait outside for about 3 minutes because they limit the number of customers who can be inside (I am totally okay with it). Store was stocked and the employees were friendly. They had hand sanitizer and masks at the front of the store (in case you forgot yours). There was a short line to buy my items and the cashier was friendly. Overall it was a good experience for my first time back in a year (due to the pandemic).

Great store with great discounted merchandise and great customer service! Wow, I rarely say three greats in a row which even surprises me! The sales team on the floor go the extra mile making sure the store is safe during this pandemic situation with Covid. If you try on a jacket or any clothes, the sales team on the floor has to take them back at the store for disinfection. I felt very safe in this store. What you waiting for. Go shopping with your stimulus money if you still have some left!

Went to the TNF sample sale and surprised to go thru boxes filled and found some bargains.

Good outlet store if youre a guy, but less so for women. The sales and the selection for women are just much worse. For guys most stuff is 60%-70% clearance, but for women nearly everything is only 40% off. I got a jacket for $35, but the identical womens version was around $80.

A true outlet, not a place that is a full price store with a large sale section. Most things were 50-60% off. They had a kids section as well. There is parking but it is small so most people find street parking nearby.

If your posted hours are until 6pm, you should be open until 6pm. I know its COVID and there are capacity restrictions, but when you pull up at 5:25pm and the employee is closing the door and tells you were closed, and you reply I thought you were open until 6, and she says yeah, but weve reached capacity and are closing... and then you watch two people leave the store... somethings not right.

Pretty good little outlet. Hidden away in a pretty industrial part of town. From the highway you’d never notice it was there, and from the area you would never suspect they would put a store there. Overall it’s a nice little store though. Parking is available, but it’s pretty small right out in front of the store. The good news is there seems to be street parking pretty available most times. Things are priced lower than retail but most items aren’t discounted that steeply. However, some of the sales items are fantastically priced. The men’s section has a decent supply and the women’s section is huge. Great place to look for specific gear for your next camping adventure or to replace some of your older beloved North face gear.

Disappointed with selection and depth of discounts. Mostly city clothes, limited “pro gear”, tents, sleeping bags and no Duffle Bags.

The North Face brand has saturated the market so much so that the expectation of their jacket performance is overrated for nearly half of their product. Generally you can expect this store to usually carry last season* items or items that dont perform sale well in the real world. Even then, do not expect products that you normally see on your REI shelves to be at the North Face outlet. They are not the same nor is the material. Think of it as this way, there are indeed clothings that are made specifically for outlet. The positive part is that the store does carry some clothing that are proven even in real world condition. From their basic fleece sweater to their gore tex shell. You can at least expect to find some gem here even if they arent the models that you often find at the flagship store...similar in performance but the looks are obviously different. Except in my opinion, if youre going pay over in the cost area of $200+. You should not sacrifice those extra difference for a model that isnt what you wanted. Anything below the $150 range can have a bit of compromise but I would definitely put Im the efforts to check other competitor brand as they can sometimes have better looks and similar if not better performance. For example...I was interested in getting the McMurdo parka but it cost $350 retail and there isnt any discount anywhere. Another similar parka would be the Gotham parka which is around $300 but at the outlet...you can expect that to be around $230. Again...anytime Im spending over $200. Im not willing to compromise on cost over the look and function of a jacket. If youre in the neighborhood of looking for a common fleece, puff jacket or a basic shell then this store has it. As for the size...yeah that is a another story if youre a smaller guy or dont mind the colors that are bland.

Good discounts for Black Friday but i got charged $55 dollars extra for no reason. Cashier and manager were not able to say what the charge was. I realized I got charged extra after driving away to home. I had to spend time to drive back and get it fixed. Would have been nice to be compensated for the time taken to drive back but it was not the case.

Its a cool store they have a lot of stuff on mark down right now. I received great service from a guy named Isaiah. Ive been in there several times but certainly this last time customer service was great. I just had to give a shout out to the kid Isaiah who help me. He showed interest in what I was looking for and new were products that fell in that category were as well as the information about them.

Where else can you still buy a bargain? Here but you got to look. Why they cram so many pants in one rack? Its so hard to look through them.

Good place to get a hold of discounted TNF gear - beware of the non-lifetime warranty ‘outlet only’ items, they’re obviously marked differently than the normal retail items but you get retail quality stuff. The staff has always been super helpful & showed me the difference between the retail & outlet tags.Also its a weird spot for a retail front like this.

Well, some jacket seemed absurdly priced but i an incredible sale! Lots of items being 50% off and there are so many colors wow! Of course, youre paying for quality. There is so much variety, it really had a lot of things available. There was a throng of people because of the huge sale, and we ended up parking far away.

Someone this yr used my BF gift card number. The call in customer service told us to us to go to the store where the card originated. The cashier here in this store helped us instead and put back the credit. So I am giving the customer service 5 star they are so helpful.

Went here just to window shop but found some amazing deals. As it is almost summer, they had a clearance sale on jackets, so I ended up walking out with a new light jacket for a great price! Some of their items had a 60% mark down! If you need outdoor clothing gear, this is a good place to find a steal!

Ive been to this outlet on three occasions, only during the annual sale in December. You cant go in there and not buy something since the deals are so good you cant ignore it. So much good stuff at so ridiculously affordable prices for men, women and children. Everytime I was there, it was so crowded and street parking is a challenge but it always is worth it. Trying going there either early or a little late, bigger chance of being less crowded.

Great deals on North Face gear sometimes they have what you need, sometimes they dont. Service is really friendly. Its always crowded and parking is poor but its worth a look of your looking for outdoor wear. The inventory is always changing so sometimes its worth checking back in a week or so, and they run deep closeout specials when the seasons change.

Great store with lots of really good deals on NF clothing. Word of warning. Leave you back seats down as there are plenty of break ins, into cars parked in this area. Smashing the rear window, pulling down the seats to see if there is anything of value in the trunk is common here...

Always a good experience at that outlet. People are very helpful and courteous. Its kind of like if The Four Seasons had a clothing store.

Note for those worried about theft: 3 of the 24 security cameras are down. Only one at the front of the store and the parking lot are working. None of the cameras inside of the store are operating.My sunglasses were stolen from on top of one of the coat racks during my visit, while I had my back turned for about a minute or two. The manager was very unhelpful. He took down my number and said that he would reach out if they were found, but only to appease me -- it was obvious that he wasnt interested in trying too hard to look. In addition, after I asked, Do you guys have security cameras? Would it be possible to look and confirm that they were stolen, he mentioned that 3 out of 24 security camera in the location are down. I have a strong feeling (granted it is just a feeling) that it was an employee who stole the pair of sunglasses, and part of me wonders if they may be aware all the security cameras inside the store are down. There were a group of employees surrounding customers and quickly swooping hangers off the top of racks, almost immediately after you set the hanger there to try something on. It would be incredibly easy for them to also snatch something else laying on top of there. It would also be very easy for them to test your awareness by snatching your hangers and seeing if you notice... pure speculation, but the employee next to me who I immediately approached was acting very odd and went to the back right after I asked. Also, every single employee I approached was incredible unhelpful, which made sense once one of them finally pointed me in the direction of the manager (who was then unhelpful, of course). All around poor customer service.So anyways, if youre looking to get something stolen off of you, this is the North Face store for you. Youll almost certainly not get it back.Again, NO cameras inside of the store are functioning and will likely not be for the next couple months (I wouldnt be surprised if they have been out for years and the store is too cheap to replace them).

The outlet has excellent discounts at the right time. North face is a very sturdy and practical brand plus they have a really helpful easy going staff. Ive bought those shoes right after getting to try 3 similar ones for a 30% off of the already discounted price.

It was the pre- holiday at North Face and Downtown Berkeley . Cars are bumper to bumper, which was the indicator of whether or not I was going to look for parking and walk several blocks. Once I️ got inside the check out line was already twisting and turning. I️ had a helpful chap named Jay assist with a couple garments. I️ had reach my peak, and. Standing in line I️ could hear customers chant that they got a good deal and were content with what was purchased, one of a kind for her daughter, fur type with a white birch impression. 40% off was a great opener before Black Friday!

I dont want to tell too many people about this place, because its so amazing. You really get unbelievable deals on North Face gear - and its exactly the same quality stuff they have at REI and other corporate stores. The staff is the most friendly and knowledgeable Ive ever seen at an outlet store and you always find something that will help you get through the winter months. Seriously awesome- and worth the commute from SF and beyond.

I love North Face brand, especially its jackets, and here you will find their products for an average of 40%OFF. However, most sizes are L or bigger and the store isnt in a nice place. There is only a small parking and it is very hard to find a spot on a street. I would prefer to go to the unit in the Premium Outlet in Livermore.

My final stop in the search for hiking pants and was able to find a decent pair at a great deal ($35). Surprisingly busy for a weekday morning and the store was well-stocked with a variety of North Face items. Pricing was a bit confusing as there were lots of “50% extra off” and “take 30% off lowest price” signs throughout the store, but I was pleasantly surprised to find the pants I chose were actually more than 50 percent off the lowest price. Yes, I realize that this is part of the outlet pricing model, but at the same time, these pants were still $40 cheaper than comparable styles at REI and Sports Basement.

Lines are painfully long on the weekends and the prices still feel very high to me but if you want a good athletic jacket for less than retail, this is the place to go in the east bay.
