Never before have I had such wonderful service as I did today at Home Depot. I went in for a vacuum cleaner belt. The level of difficulty for this task rivals a double sow cow at the Olympics. I had a helper as soon i walked in and he double and triple checked the website to be sure the part would fit my vacuum. I was extremely impressed!

Love the Bennington HD because theres never a line, in and out. At least on weekdays, never been there on a weekend.And Kendra is a sweetheart of a cashier and very friendly.

I had purchased a quartz countertop that required measurements and fabrication. Granite Design is the fabricator. I was more concerned with timeliness than cost and in May 2021, HD was quoting a 8 - 10 install where the few other fabs were saying 12 weeks. Had a date from GD 7 weeks out for templates so all looked good. 5 days before templates, GD knocked the templates out by 6 weeks with no explanation. Thought I could have HD leverage the situation but to my surprise, they claimed there was nothing they can do. Ok, so 7 weeks in, add another 7 weeks. Templates were done and an install date set 2 weeks out. Once again, days before install, GD calls and says they do not have the material and when pressed they had no real idea when they would. Canceled the order at that point after wasting nearly four months. I will never use either one for custom work under any condition.

Drove an hour to pick up one of 6 air conditioners listed as in stock. Got there, spoke to 3 different associates to help me locate one of them. Each one said sorry, if we had one this is where it would be, even after showing them on the app that they had 6 of them. I Left furious. A couple miles down the road I pulled over and called the store. The nice lady that answered the phone said yes we do have them in the back, stop back and Ill get one for you. One out of 4 competent and helpful staff. Not my favorite store thats for sure!

The Home Depot is a good choice for patio decor. The seat cushions are very nice.

They usually have what we need plus some. Selections for seasonal items are really a hit or miss and some of the employees come off as a tad rude.

Staff is hit or miss when it comes to being knowledgeable and helpful. The paint dept and appliance has always been the best when it comes to being helpful. Wish the garden dept had more staff at busy times of year.

For big box store its not bad, Mike @ pro desk is very helpful getting things done

There not very helpful to the customers and when you ask for help they ignore you. Then when you finally get help they are very unpleasant about helping.

Ok so I ordered my stuff online and then dealing with Bennington store! So I ordered my stuff in the frist week of Apirl and now in June I’m finally getting my stuff! If weeding wasn’t the worst I get my stuff all seven of the plywood that I ordered was waterlogged From sitting outside before they delivered it and 4 boxing of flooring was damaged as well so I called and had them replace the Plywood and got the wrong plywood so I ended up having to use the waterlogged plywood to do my project. And in mind you I have already made a point of telling them I would not be reusing Home Depot!! Well I talk to Ryan I believe! and was great! Also Ryan(?) and Carlos can got the product being returned and bring it back to Walmart so I can be reimbursed and re-get the four boxes of flooring that needs to be replaced!! If it wasn’t for Carlos and Ryan(?) I would never ever use Home Depot again but they are great and for them I will stay with Home Depot but only deal with them and the 1 worker Tanya so thank you!!

Didnt have the two things we went for as usual . Bennington is the worst store around.

Convenient location, good stock and pricing.

We needed help finding something and an Ann or Angie was super helpful. And very patient.

Alison was especially helpful with our purchase of blinds.

Delivered the wrong appliance, bounced me around on the phone for 7 hours and ultimately refused to correct their error.

I ordered carpet to be installed. After one no show they rescheduled and assured me it would be installed in the morning as I did not want another no show for an afternoon appointment. The day before I received an email that we had the same installation time (1-5pm). I called and they told me that they could not promise times for installation (though the woman assured me when re-booking that it would be a morning appointment). So the second installation was also a no show. We cleaned the space thoroughly and spent hours taking apart and putting back furniture twice. Only to be lied to and deceived. What a joke this company is. I certainly learned my lesson and will only shop at small businesses from now on.

Ben, the manager, went out of his way to make sure our order was ready on time. I couldnt be more thankful, Great Service! Keep up the good work

Went to store looking to purchase garage door spring kit. Person at register didnt know where they were - which is okay, we have the HD app on our phones. Bay 25 back wall wasnt very helpful because its not related to aisle 25, but we did get help from another employee in locating them. We were looking at the springs, comparing them to the one that was broken and a male employee came to help us - two women. He clearly didnt even know as much about garage door springs as we found out in our research, but acted like he did. Then, when we were trying to compare I suggested opening a box he said I dont like to do that because people dont want to buy boxes that have been opened. I told him Id go out to my truck to get my calipers and measure the springs through the damaged plastic window on the box and I was half-way down the aisle when my partner called to me that he had opened the boxes. Just generally interfering with our shopping rather than helping. I would have done more research on my phone without him there. Not sure I we have the right/best springs. This garage door is wood and glass and probably about 70 years old so its challenging but he seemed to more want to tell us what to do rather than actually help.

Such a poor offering of garden plants. Sad as they used to be the place to go.

Painting a room, HD now charges $.99 per gallon for a paint recycling fee. I understand but how does what most likely is the largest paint seller in Southern Vermont Not Be a collector of waste paints?

Nice price for light fixture box, however the screws required werent anywhere close, I will buy elsewhere. Staff working that section were filling in and no help.

Vic in appliances was super helpful! Its a 30 min drive for me, but its worth it every time.

Wood and dirt tons of employees for help

Customer service is excellent, friendly, professional and the associates go out of their way to help you. The store is well lit, clean, and well-stocked. The only problem that I do have is on the bulk items where if you arent careful you could pick up a different size, much of this blame can be put on the customer who picks an item out to inspect it and not caring puts it into another bin. This problem is true at any large store and not just HD.

Had a return with no receipt got the wrong size bulb they swapped them out no problem

Fair prices, spaced out so it feels safe to shop during covid.

Who doesnt Love Home Depot? Staff is always helpful. The stores continue to be short staffed.

This store has seriously declined in performance over the past 1.5 yrs. The staff and customer experience used to be so good. Now, you do curbside pickup, find yourself waiting for 20 minutes, and have to go inside to get your order anyway because new staff sits around twiddling their thumbs. Want some wood? Don’t go here, you will find expensive wood that is more crooked than a politician. One would think it would all be discounted but no, full price for below standard wood. The entire mood of the store is negative and the employees stopped being friendly...to everyone! Definitely need changes here to bring it up to Home Depot standards.

Great customer service when you have a problem with a product

Good experience. Although this is a smaller Home Depot than the ones I have visited people are nice acknowledged presence which is much better than what I have encountered in the past with lot of larger Home Depots. Only reason I give it four star because if something is not part of the inventory in this store but it is inventory as part of Home Depot they could have added it and giving me my credit for that however it did not.

I always enjoy shopping at Home Depot in Bennington, VT. They have EVERYTHING! The associates are so nice, not pushy. I cant wait to to start shopping for my flowers!
