I want to give a big shout out to Kim and her crew at Rugged Thread. I had first used her sewing talents years ago when she was working out of her garage. She repaired my North Face ski bibs (still using them now). I brought in a more complex task for my SUP PDF and hydration belt. One of the technicians took the time to go through the diagram for the alteration that I had drawn. The job was done within a week. There was one minor correction that had to happen and they did it on the spot without me having to leave my gear a second time. Personalized, customer oriented friendly service with a smile (even behind the mask). They did an excellent job, I highly recommend!

Rugged Thread’s team fixed my husband’s beloved Ironman backpack so it’s back in working condition! He loves it!It had major damage, with the bottom falling out, side seams coming apart, and only one operable zipper. Kim and her crew are fantastic and work magic with thread and tape! I had an unfortunate issue where my pup got a hold of my brand new sleeping bag and decided to put some snags and holes in the panels, quite a few patches later and the bag is practically brand new, I also purchased a bag at REI that needed a quick fix on the zipper and that was done on the spot, oh and did I mention that Kim stayed late to help me fix up my bag and even let me give her a hand to help expedite the process which helped me learn how the pros do it so that next time I can approach the situation with my own abilities. What a happy stroke of luck! Found these awesome folks while trying find where I could get a zipper replaced on a Burton parka. They were very responsive and communicative through the entire process, from an internet quote to completion of my repair. Rugged threads knows what they are doing. After a short introduction and overview of what I wanted done to my outerwear I had no problem leaving Rugged Threads with high end outwear for alterations. If you have zipper problems or old stitching hit up these guys right away!

I was in need of a minor modification to a set of tank bags for my motorcycle. Simply sew two additional straps on. Asked a local Redmond upholstery shop if they could accommodate, but they were too busy and not interested. Then I found Rugged Thread! Took the bags down to Kim on a lazy Saturday morning and much to my amazement and delight, she did the job while I waited!! I really was not expecting that and was thrilled!! I brought in my beat up tent, that’s been around for several years. The zippers for main door entrance finally broke, and they replaced and fixed it in no time. I’m now have a mosquito free home again. They are moving within a week! So look out for a new location in Bend.
