Fantastic experience getting a garage door opener installed for my parents. Everyone from the office staff to the owner, Brad, who came out himself for the estimate because it was a difficult job, was friendly, helpful, and kind. The install was on time and professionally done. Brad went above & beyond. If there were 10 stars, I’d give them that!

My garage door would not open, the springs were broken, and I could not get my car out of the garage. I called Brokentop Garage and they rearranged their technician’s schedule to help me the very same day despite his busy schedule. In fact, Brad was at my house within an hour! He gave me options on how to take care of the situation. Brad was very knowledgeable and professional and completed the job in a half hour. Their friendly customer service representative went out of her way to get the process started to help me as soon as possible. I would highly recommend this company.

Karen answered the phone understood our predicament and found a technician on short notice. Three other repair shops said they had no one available on such a short notice. Fantastic company. Derek was an awesomely helpful, considerate and a highly qualified service tech. Before I called Broken Top, I called another local company just to ask for a quick, rough estimate (of price/time span) and the secretary asked me 20 questions for 7 minutes while not answering my two questions. When pressed for an answer, she told me they were slammed, it would be a week or two to come fix my broken garage and that shed call me back with a price estimate. Not so with Broken Top who specializes in residential repairs rather than new construction and thus wont be slammed like everyone else in Bend. Derek came right out and fixed us up, quickly. The service was remarkable. I called on Tuesday, Brad showed up by 8:30 the next morning, and I had a new garage door opener up and running by 9:30. He even hauled away all the parts and pieces of my old defunct opener system. Just outstanding all the way around.

We were in need of a repair, due to a broken spring. I have minimal space to work as 2 cars were stuck in the a garage. I called at 8am Monday morning and by 3:00 Monday afternoon they were here. The entire repair took about an hour. Derek was the technician that showed up. He called ahead of time with a time frame when he would be here, he was on time, friendly, and communicated everything ahead of time. They were just what we needed from the first contact. The receptionist knew exactly what we needed to hear without us even saying. While others couldn’t see us with our broken garage door for months, they came the next day. He immediately saw the problem, told us how much a bandaid fix would cost (didn’t recommend it cause he could see the very used broken shape of the door). They had one door on hand, not quite the color we would have picked, but it is paintable. This way we wouldn’t have to wait the weeks or months for a new one. He did not try to up sell us, but we asked about the opener also and decided to replace all, since all were old. Also got the keypad, for our convenience.We didn’t get a call/text/email ahead, which would be my only suggestion. We had to drive a couple of hours over so were more needing reassurance that they would be there as planned. He came. He was easy and competent. I didn’t understand how one person could remove and replace it alone, but no problem, they have the process down!New door, opener, keypad, and all works. During a remodeling project I mentioned to one of the crew I needed to have someone look at my garage door. Turns out he and another of the crew used to install garage doors. They told me what they thought needed to be fixed/replaced.I called Brokentop and the tech identified the same things. Gave me great confidence he was giving me legitimate advice.I am very happy with the work and can recommend Brokentop with confidence.

Everyone we worked with was pretty nice. The work was great. It took 6 months to get our doors from their supplier, I get it, Covid delays. Communication is where we had our breakdown. We asked a couple questions throughout the waiting period that were mostly answered with Ill get back to you. They never did. They did call back with additional delays, thats fine, again I get it. In the final week before the installation date I asked about an additional opener. They never got back to me and the installation Tech (who was also very nice) didnt know what I was talking about.

I just got off the phone with Brad, the manager at Brokentop, he called me back just a few minutes after I spoke with Karen in the office. I was having an issue with my garage door not closing completely after replacing the battery in my Craftsman opener. Rather than schedule a service call, he was able to identify the type of unit I had by my description of it, and talk me through setting the limits myself! He even did it twice because the first time I set the lower limit too low. He stayed on the phone with me until he was sure I had gotten it right. I had a broken spring on my door and they were able to schedule me for the next day, gave me a 2 hour window and Brad called me about 15 minutes into the time window and said he would be at my house in 20 minutes. He arrived on time and replaced the springs in about 30 - 45 minutes. I fully recommend this company.
