This is such a cute little shop, packed tight with all kinds of nerdy goodies. I definitely intend on coming back, especially to peruse all the Catan expansions. I was impressed by Sabrina, shes super knowledgeable and attentive, and I enjoyed our little chat as she rang me up. This place is a nifty gem.

Recently took my significant other here on a trip because it was one of my favorite places to go when I was in high school, and oh my goodness. It’s just as great as I remember. They’ve got such a cool and interesting collection, and the staff is always kind and willing to help. So badly wish I had one of these back at home! Definitely a must-go every time we come into town now!

Great book store packed from floor to ceiling

Its Bends only LCBS, but that doesnt mean it has gotten stagnant. Over the years theyve kept up with demand and always have something interesting. They even did a minor remodel in early 2020 that really opened the place up.

Super friendly and helpful customer service, and ALOT of cool comics and books.

I really enjoy this store. I love the positive energy and there are SO many books/comics, etc. to look at and enjoy. I love stopping in here to take a quick look around after walking around downtown.

Absolutely love this place! If you have any interest in comics, scifi, or fantasy, this is the place for you. I cant believe it has taken me years to discover this place. Very small store and they make every effort to pack this place with amazing treasures! Found wonderful books for myself as well as gifts for loved ones. Staff has a passion and knowledge that makes it super helpful when trying to find specific items and just fun to have conversations with. I wouldnt change a thing about this hidden world of wonder!

Great independent and local used book store. It can be difficult for new comers to sort out how much the books are priced. However, the staff is very kind and helpful when asked. The selection is larger than the size of the store would suggest. There was a decent breadth of subject areas represented.

I dont know how anyone finds anything in this store. Its overly crowded, nothing is labeled, there doesnt seem to be a system for anything. All I found in this bookstore was anxiety and far too many people since they werent limiting the amount of people going in.

Pegasus Books of Bend is one of the best places to get comic books, manga, Magic the Gathering, D&D, Cards, figurines, and much more! Very nice small place with a BIG variety of the things all above.Its also on the slight pricey side of things, otherwise, great place to get all from above!

The store has a wonderful selection, but I can relate to the mixed opinion on the staff. Sometimes theres this very friendly young man working there. Other times theres someone more grumpy. Still, its a great store.

An amazing local shop for comics, manga, and all things worth nerding out over.

Relatively small book store catering more toward comic book and fantasy related themes. There are some adult board game options and a mid range size assortment of comics. I usually always find something digging through the back bin comics and new releases. For the area this is you only option unless you want to travel 25 minutes out to Redmond. If youre looking for more traditional books this is not the place but if youre a manga, fantasy, sci fi person its a great place to visit. Friendly staff as well:)

A great book store with a huge selection of comics, graphic novels, scifi, superhero, and fantasy content. not the best place if youre looking for non fiction, and historical type books, but great for anyone looking for any of the previously listed.

They carry all my favorite comics including The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl. The staff make comics more accessible by recommending new series based on what you like. They are also great at recommending gifts. They have a terrific kids collection (Lumberjanes!) plus awesome games and used books. I feel lucky to have a thriving comic shop like this in downtown Bend. Its even better than the shops I used to love in Portland!

I enjoy small, hole-in-the-wall bookstores myself. Stacks of books you wouldnt find normally are everywhere and the cashier was as friendly as they come.

Surprised that other reviewers commented on friendly and helpful staff. My children (ages 10 and 12) love comic books of all kinds yet hate going here due to rude staff. My son was sitting on the floor looking at books and was told he was not allowed to sit. Another 10 yo boy said that every time he talks, it seems like hes mad at me. So much for encouraging children to read, also not great for the bookstore bottom line to alienate customers of any age.

Pegasus Books is my favorite store to frequent here in Bend. The amount of merchandise within the store is amazing, whether it be something new or something that one may have just never noticed. Conversations that I have with the owner and staff relating to comics/books and other happenings around town are always great. Pegasus Books of Bend is just that great, local bookstore to find that comic or book you were looking for (or maybe not even realized it was on your wish list). Check this place out.

Okay selection of books not much for a graphic novels if thats what youre looking for like I was if youre looking for comic book or any action type figures that were collectible the same ones were hanging up over 15 years ago are still on his Shelf with the plastic yellowed young man he was working in there was extremely nice and helpful knew exactly where everything was the customer service is great that they could really up their selection and expand their selection of graphic novels and that sort of thing as for used books there were a lot Comics were on average prefer geek geek nerd nerd in Redmond theyre on top of their game

Duncan knows his stuff! I would have to admit I am not into comic books, but my boyfriend is a lifer and this is his favorite place. I do enjoy how he provide books in his store for us non-comic individuals. Duncan and his crew also allow me to bring in my coffee without any complaints which is rare for a store of this nature. Pegasus also provides comic boxes like a mail box where he will set aside your requested titles, so that avid readers do not need to spend time looking for them on the self or to prevent the chance of missing one when they sell out.Worth your time!

I have been going to Pegasus since the early 90s and have seen it grow into what it is today. What was once just a comic book shop is now comic books, board games, card games, sculptures, new books, used books, trading cards and more. Semi-famous for its cantankerous owner, it is worth popping in to see what they offer.

Great comic book shop in downtown Bend. The employee was knowledgeable and helped me find what I was looking for and even threw in some free swag.

While I have only just gotten back into comics after being away from the game for almost 20 years, I feel like I fit right in and always have been able to converse freely with the workers. The selection is about what you would expect from a small shop, but I have always been able to request specific comics and have them ready to pick up in a timely manner.

Love to visit and see all the new issues of managa and comics I read. Plus the staff is awesome and always helpful.

Best comic store in Central Oregon

Kind of late in the review, guess this is from about 3 or 4 months back. I really want to like this place but it can be tough. I occasionally buy comics or graphic novels. I had a few books to sell or trade and with out asking titles the guy was like we dont buy used books huh no wonder their used selection is so crummy! I had various graphic novels, novels by beat authors, and other cult figures, and some top notch art books. In fact the employee stated in reference to bookstores in bend no one pays cash for books. I Walked down the street to Dudleys and sold them to the owner there, and yes for cash! I am not an idiot and know what not to bring to a store to try and get money for, if you are looking for used books these guys dont have very much, nice selection of comics, most the graphic novels can be found online for half the price. Still nothing like a brick and mortar store even if its not so great.

Staff was incredibly rude and insulting. We had over $40 worth of comics in hand to buy and asked one question and were insulted. We put it all down and waked out. The guy behind the counter had been yapping with one customer the entire 10 minutes we were shopping. Avoid this place like the plague. They will never see a dime of my money and I will tell anyone I know.
