Well stocked, clean, sales every week. Its Oct 2021, Covid-19 continues to keep dressing rooms closed. Very busy store.
Very large with an even larger selection of different categories to select from.Extremely clean and staffed well with friendly employees. Very priced well, and I understand their stock is more than replenished. When I left there were15 to 20 cars waiting to deliver their contributions. And at least 6 persons trying to help as quickly as possible. In 100 degree heat in, Bellingham, Washington. This store should be commended for helping our community and these employees definitely were the best.
Usually love this value village but today one of the cashiers gave me a hard time for using my moms value points # that we ALWAYS USE. We use it collectively to get more points, simple as that. She asked me for the account owners birthday and made weird comments about me using my moms account. Why does it matter? I am a paying customer- mind your own business! I have NEVER had this happen before.
Some of their prices are outrageous. Yesterday I picked out a casual dress, nothing fancy, price tag: $49.99 🤯 If they for any reason see a value in a clothing item, they mark it WAY high up. Thrift stores were never like that. You’re supposed to make your clothing more affordable than brand new clothing. I don’t care about brand name and I don’t shop for them. Getting that greedy about clothing that’s been donated to you in good will is an opportunistic move making thrift only for people that are willing to pay for trends. On a different but related note, many of their well used kids clothing start off at $3.99 others are $6.50 and up, some with stains on them. Target sells their cat&jack brand for 5.50 a piece brand new! Consignments hand pick their clothes and are picky about what goes out on the racks also have better deals in comparison. Not only I get discouraged from shopping at Value Village but I also don’t want to donate any items to them anymore because their price tag abuse. Items left in a free box, next to free food pantry, or churches would be serving a better cause.
Staff is very nice, they have senior discount on Thursdays I believe, a coloured tag system where certain coloured tags are on sale. They have 50% off days too that get the store very busy. Things like cast iron, knives, kids clothes and some items that are held upfront are very highly over priced, but overall is a good thrift store
I went to this store this morning, and let me tell you. Every time, I find at least something decent at this place. This morning, I was rung up by Jon, and he helped me check my account for rewards, and applied them efficiently in the midst of a huge rush. He was calm, very helpful at answering my questions, and even helped me find a box for my antique glassware without holding things up in line. He was very disarming amidst the chaos, and really knew what he was doing. Excellent customer service! Thanks Jon!
THIS IS WHAT A FOR PROFIT BUSINESS DOES. Very disappointed of the removal of fitting rooms. Staff said try them on at home and return the ones that dont fit BUT theres NO REFUND only in-store credit. I find that bad business and a way to steal my money. Why would I let your store keep my money from clothes that dont fit me because you dont have a dressing room? THEY ONLY CARE ABOUT MAXIMIZING PROFIT. Also prices are now outrageous.
I love and enjoy shopping value village first above all stores. They ALWAYS have more things I want that I can possibly have. And decent prices...and great people!
Busy Place - Lots of Value Shoppers. We were there Working -Met with Rachel ( Manager) She did a great job getting us set up to work! All staff was Friendly and accommodating.A 2 Z Handyman Service - Ferndale WaThey had us Install a Barrier between check out Registers ( Covid ) This is the test unit so if you want to see more let them know you Appreciate it.
Hands down the best second hand store Ive ever been to. Prices can seem to be a bit much at first but the clothes are name brand and in like new condition so they really arent. Always finding high end clothing and the selection of furniture and household goods is huge. A truly great non profit second hand store.
The store is very clean and the staff are very nice. The customers are...eclectic. It could have just been the day I was there, but there was everything from ladies with no shirt, just hanging out of a bra to exact opposite. Prices seemed a bit high to me for a thrift store.
Value Village is always a fun place to shop. Theres alwsys something new and different. Prices vary wildly.
Best in show.Amazingly open for as much merchandise and this place has on hand.Clothing in abundance, household accoutrements galore, even furnishings in good condition.I would be surprised to a relic or two among the offerings.Found a guitar to repair, play and then donate.Dont pass this location up if looking for goods of any variety or even just bored and like to browse.Come early to get first pick.+Rep
Great selection as always. Books were a great itwm today, found several intersting books on several different subjects. Found several deals on clothes for the return to school.
I LOVE Value Village! I am a 68 year old female and I found 8 pairs of good jeans, shorts and tops. I am short and I dont have to hem any of them. Instead of paying astronomical prices at the box stores for jeans, I found jeans for $9.99 and even found one for $4.98!!! Thank you Value Village!
A particularly large Value Village with a decent selection, but rarely much that is truly an amazing find
I have always loved Value Village. The store is clean, roomy and easy to find what you are looking for with all the labels. First thing when I walked in there was an employee sanitizing the carts which I loved to see. Thank you Value Village keep up the good work.
Cant really go wrong with going here. They have a constant flow of things coming and going. Its like a surprise every time you go there. The staff pretty much lets you do your own thing so you dont feel like someone is breathing down your neck. Ample space to freely move around while you roam around and even when its busy you never feel crowded.
You never know what treasures you might find! Plenty of things to choose from useful or whimsical. Its a fun place to shop with friendly staff and huge bonus its a charity!
Prices becoming absurdly outrageous. $74 for a jacket that costs less than that new. Other items that are complete junk and deteriorated over $20.
Value Village prices are very reasonable compared to any second-hand store. Im always finding something that I need or like. If you love shopping at second-hand stores as I do. You must visit Value Village.
I was followed around Im guessing do to my disability of having to walk with a cane and have an assistant with me for when my legs give out and stop working. I was going to purchase a coffee cup that I wanted and ended up dropping it and breaking it. I had an employee immediately come at me right into my personal space. I tried explaining it was an accident and that I would pay for it. In response I was berated and harshly told I had to pay for that and that if I couldnt act like the rest of the customers and handle things without breaking them I shouldnt be out in public. My assistant tried explaining the situation to him in response we were told we needed to leave and learn how to function in the real world. He followed us out the door to the curb the whole time degrading me and saying I wasnt disabled and it was all just an act. I called Goodwill when I got to the car and asked to speak to a manager and after being on hold for 45 minutes. I explained the situation and it return I was told that I shouldnt be coming in there store if I was just going to break there items and that I deserved the way I was treated. Just because of this pandemic doesnt give people the right to treat others like this.
My wife and I have been shopping at Value Village for several years. You never know what you find. Sometimes we find something needed for our home. Everytime we go there, which is almost every week on Tuesday, we buy books and clothes for our granddaughter. We have always found the clothes to be in good condition as are the books. The staff is always friendly making shopping there enjoyable. We shop there Tuesdays because it is senior day and they offer 30% off to seniors.
Gotta be careful you might spend too much lots of great things to take home
Organized and friendly. Not too busy or crowded. I got great deals!
Hard working people. Very good customer service.
Fun thrift store. Good prices. Better quality items.
Great store with super friendly staff. Always a good variety. A bit pricey for a thrift store, bit if you look a little you can still find some gems
Would have been a 5 if the dressing rooms were open. It would have made purchases easier, instead of guessing if it was going to fit or not.
In general I would usually say that goodwill is better that value village. However in bellingham that couldnt be further from the truth. Value village here is great! They always have awesome finds at a good price. The staff here is also generally very nice!
I love when you go in there to buy one thing and they dont have it sometimes but then you always catch something out of the corner of your eye. I got me the cutest lamp to finish off my living room.
Amazing amount of stuff to be a thrifter great staff and fast checkout
Actually had alot of nice stuff at real good prices wasnt there myself but taking a friend shopping. Definitely worth checking out if your on a budget.
The fitting rooms are closed. Its pointless to shop for clothing here.Would have been great to know that this store is still enforcing the illegal orders of a fascist government.
I am not sure if Value Village really does any good, but they have a nice selection and you get a coupon when you donate. One comment is if you need kitchen stuff, Goodwill is way cheaper. Greatly for clothes though.
Lots of product but no changing room and not the best organization.
Gosh $70.00 bucks later. 3 pants 2 figurines 1 toy gun for 4.99 (that was over priced and I should have not payed) 1 👕 and a 10 pk socks. Kinda spendy... And it was blue ticket tag for 50% but Of course non of my items had it.
My fave 2nd-hand store. Great prices, easy to find stuff and wonderful customer service!
Would have given a five star except very pricey.
Its OK, feel like its gone down hill in the past couple years but you can still find some good things for a good price
I love going to the book section I am a big fan of reading. You can buy 4 books and get the 5th on free. I am usually only buying 1 book everytime I went.
No dressing rooms now because of COVID-19, but they let you return items within 14 days for store credit.
Such a pretty park! Its peaceful with a nice beach to relax on.
Terrible, my cashier was rude, said hello, nothing, tried to be friendly, nothing, not even a word. Said have a great day and still nothing.. many occasions, not always the same person. Have a talking to your crew.
A big store. Lots of second hand items of all types you would expect to see at a thrift store. Prices were fair. Not a lot of social distancing was being followed but is big enough that I could avoid it as I needed to.
Wait time for donations is quick even if it seems like theres a long line. Covid 19 protocol wear a mask, 6 feet social distance, two cars at a time to unload items into large bins. Know nothing about inside the store currently.
Friendly staff but not as attentive as our party of 8 needed. Pollo LA Crema is a fave dish of mine. Do not order it here. Onions were raw, chicken overcooked and mushrooms non-existent. When server was informed of missing shrooms he politely brought me more mushrooms. The rice was under the chicken and sauce. You couldnt see it. When I finally got a taste of rice it was a congealed mass of what had once been rice seasoned with tomato sauce and cheap chili powder. Did I mention the chicken? Overcooked and not much of it. And the cream sauce....nothing to say about it.
The staff at our local value village were so gracious and helpful. They explained about senior discount days and discount tags to help us maximise savings. I really enjoyed our experience.
Value village is value village.you get what you getIt stinks but they got some nice stuff I love to donate items I dont need anymore.. they give me a 20% off for the store for when I go in and buy books or things I might need..and you dont have to dress up to go there
Prices are really high, especially for clothes. The dressing room isnt open due to covid which is fine, but the return policy feels really unfair considering that. I assumed it was 14 days to exchange for store credit, but you have to have another day to shop and happen to find things worth the same amount to get money back which I found impossible. I feel robbed of $45. Hopefully I donated that money to something worth while, but I definitely wont be going back. Super disappointed
Friendly workers, and very easy to find help if you need it. Clean and very well organized.
Decent place for thrift goods. A bit less of late sadly.
Great selection. Shelves are fully stocked. Hard to navigate through with crowds but worth it on a slow day!
What a great store! The variety of bulk items is wonderful and so are the prices.
Had a ton of quality stuff. Definitely worth the visit.
Good covid policies. Always fun to shop here.
Huge value village. If you cant find it here, you didnt look hard enough
Please wear a mask even though its not required. Use common sense and wear mask, after all we are still in the midst of a pandemic.
Great shopping today at value village lots of bargains.
Its a value village, nothing to spectacular, prices are a little high imo for some of the merchandise for being a thrift store.
Awesome place. Organized very well and has hundreds of not thousands of new items every day.
Their return policy is terrible. Purchased brand new items, returned them the next day in original packaging with a receipt and they would not refund my money, give an in-store credit, or take the item back, but I could donate it back to them???
I visited vv on a trip to Bellingham to see my son marry the love of his life. I had so much fun shopping here and found some great deals including this California pottery that is the same as what my grandmother bought for my mom when she got married in the 60s! What a score and a sweet surprise! I also found madras curtains, brand new shoes, picture frames, silk pillow cases, a nice wool dog blanket, wool rug, curtain rods and a hardcover kurt Vonnegut book. I broke the kids vacuum while I was there and found a decent replacement. Found local shirts for souvenirs, vintage towels and a bunch more treasures. Love this place. Cashiers are friendly and helpful.
Always good for random stuff. Quality varies, of course, but worth your time.
Really friendly staff and pretty solid prices. Always better to reuse than buy new!
For me its kind of hit and miss. Ive found a few good things here.
IF you shop for the color of the day 50% off tags, you can get some vintage & unique bargains! ☺️ (Otherwise, their clothing is overpriced- you could get NEW clothing cheaper on sale at Kohls or Macys for example.)
Rare finds everywhere, decent and affordable prices, clean, helpful and polite staff. Family and I love going there and just look, we rarely walk out empty handed too lol.
Decent thrift store. I just think their prices are a bit steep for items that are DONATED to them.
Always impressed with the merchandising here. Plus you find new products / gems from time to time, like these pull up bars
Fairly priced an Friendly team members satisfaction on sanitizing
The changes that the store made since covid have made it not worth shopping here; you cant try on clothing and the hours have been cut so as to make it inconvenient.
Go all the time to look Im retired, lots of good things
Great place to get household items for cheap.
They were very well stocked with every thing.Employees were very helpful and friendly.
Great place to find just about anything for pennies on the dollar.
I love Value Village. Very good for anyone who wants to save money and get great stuff.
Large variety of things, but the prices have risen. Dont want to pay high prices for used goods. Fun place to shop.
We were donating but they have made it extremely simple and easy.
They got alot of good stuff to choose from...
Great place to bring the old things you dont need, and leave with a fresh new look!
Honestly one of the biggest and most organized value villages Ive ever been to. Very impressed
Heavy SighThey are just so danged proud of their Stuff! Good and decent Stuff. But I dont go unless I have some type of discount available....
Got in and out really quick and had exactly what I was looking for
Great staff the prices are great but can be a bit steep on some things but great store size always clean and and kept well stocked at all times the donation center is great but they could use a better location for thire donation center line up can be slow and long at times and the line spills into the road and ends up blocking traffic you can easily to get to Value village by bus route 331 serves the area or car be aware the parking lot can get crazy people at times
Little high on prices of things for a place that gets donations. Almost buy new things for the price of some stuff.
Felt a little...unsafe during COVID times. Too many people in the store with no regard to social distancing. Great store, but wont be returning during COVID.
Nice people and one real hottie ;)
Great store, friendly employee. Lots of glass ware, pictures, books, records, clothing. Discount for seniors on Tuesdays. I usually get there after its been open because of long lines to get in.
Always find great books at reasonable prices. Well organized and following social distancing and sanitation standards.
I love shopping at thrift stores cuz you find the most name brands top of the line items for low low prices but Im sorry to say the second hand stores are more expensive than Kmart and JC Penneys and Sears when they were around I rather has in fact any day then deal with this sorry thrift stores but you guys prices for getting for free if out of hand I give you two stars sorry
Extremely nice staff, masks are worn .Much less expensive than Goodwill.
Goodwill is cheaper cleaner and has nicer manager. This store acts like it had to buy all there stuff from a overpriced garage before marking it up to sell to youthey have pawn store prices it ridiculous
Instead of refunding or applying a credit for returns, the return policy is to replace dollar for dollar each item originally bought with another item. This coupled with the dressing rooms being closed makes Value Village not worth it - for clothes, at least.
2nd time there! Pretty big, with a variety of things in all sections. I saw a few pair of nike and clarks, and I know how much they cost, NEW, but USED.... they charge too much, for donations. $45 dollars? & up, so I pass on that! Nobody trying to spend $100 dollars on 2 pair shoes, at VALUE...... Village, but anyways, happy hunting
Great staff, we really miss the one closed down in Mt.Vernon!
Great place never know what you can find at a great price.
The employees are rude and the store is a disaster, will not go back.
