I like having a store like this in the neighborhood we live in and the clerk I dealt with was friendly and helpful. However, one should use care when bringing in large items here for packing and shipping. One thing that isn’t done here when packing is to be mindful of staying under size-based cost thresholds for postage. I recently shipped a two piece fishing rod from here that, because of the extra size of the box they used, cost roughly six times what it should have to mail ($120 vs. $20.)Ouch!Lesson learned.
Always prompt, curteous, efficient and amicable. Shop is always spotless, well appointed and arranged. Very proud that FP&P is a neighbor, great work and effort!
Fairhaven Post & Parcel has always been a little expensive, but what they charged me today was outrageous. They charged $42 to send a small boxed package via USPS Priority Mail. After I paid (I should have asked before), I asked, So will this be going out today (Saturday)? and she said, No, Monday, because the post office closes at 1 p.m. today. So I just paid $42 for my package to go out on Monday. When I asked how much more they charge on top of the USPS charges, she said she couldnt tell me. Which is bogus and ridiculous. They could absolutely tell you that if they wanted to. This is price gouging. She said they dont charge more than 20% of what the USPS would charge, but that was also a lie, because I just looked it up and the post office charges $20 for a large box, and mine was much smaller. So this was a 100% markup at least. I wish I had taken my package back and just mailed it at the post office on Monday. I probably would have saved at least $25.Addendum and response to David:Hi David,Thanks for your response. I will revise my review because the package did, indeed, go out on Saturday and arrived at its destination in Tennessee on Tuesday, which I was very pleased about. However, contrary to what you said in your response, I was not told it might go out on Saturday; I was told it wouldnt go out until Monday. And, yes, I did appreciate the convenience, but not for $42 and then being told the package wouldnt go out till Monday after Id already paid. Also, I was told that UPS Ground WAS less expensive than USPS--$38 as opposed to $42--but I chose USPS because I want to support the Postal Service during Covid.
My go-to place shipping/mailing for both business and personal items. Excellent customer service and are thorough with making sure things are done well and right. I cant imagine getting a follow-up email from the post office to double check if I wanted a printed receipt after a large order (I received an email receipt with tracking #s, costs, etc).
Fairhaven Post & Parcel is my go-to place for all my postal needs. As an author, I regularly ship books, and their service is always fast, friendly and most of all accurate. They also value customer safety with strict adherence to COVID protocols - I would definitely recommend Fairhaven Post & Parcel!
I love this business! They always go the extra mile to give great service and get your parcels anywhere in the world & in a timely fashion! I am a very happy customer and will always come back! Thank you for your great and friendly service!
Excellent courteous service. I received good advice on best ways to ship packages to Canada at this time. The package I recently sent by FEDEX to Surrey arrived in one week. This is superb.
Fairhaven Post and Parcel always has the best customer service and affordable prices.
Employees were very helpful when my package got returned due to issues with the shipping location.
Fairhaven Post & Parcel has one of the nicest staff in the neighborhood. Always swift, friendly, and helpful!
Great service. I like the staff and extra features like email notifications, recycling of junk mail and cartons, after hour access.... All good. I recommend using them.
Fairhaven Post and Parcel has wonderful customer service and has exceeded our expectations in every way. Very reliable in every way.
Everyone at Fairhaven Post & Parcel is always very welcoming, helpful, reliable, and friendly. They provide excellent and caring service to us every time. Thank you!!!!
I really like this place — cozy feel and kind people who work there. I often go a little out of my way to ship something here if it’s on my way at all.
Arrived at 5pm. Waited behind the gates for 20 minutes in the lobby. Tried yelling to see if anyone was even in the building but nobody answered. Guess they closed early today but failed to post any signs about it?
Dependable, fast service. Such a rarity nowadays
A great friendly place for postal and shipping needs. People complain about paying higher rates but they need to make a profit for the convenience.
Love going to Fairhaven Post and Parcel. They are always quick and efficient and there is never a line!
Went in with a book to ship in my own bubble wrap package. Ask for the cheapest option, no rush. Got charged $8.75. I failed to ask additional questions or do my research before hand. But, they have a sign out saying they are a USPS authorized shipper, and didnt mention that it typically costs less than $4 to mail a book using media mail. I just hate places like this where the uniformed customer gets charged more. It pays to do your research! Will not be returning or recommending this business.
Love the customized, individual customer service from knowledgeable staff!
Go there pretty frequently. A tad expensive but the location is convenient so I dont mind. Good place!
Always a pleasure. Thanks, Spencer!
I rate this because the surcharges associated with the USPS that they tack on... I went to send a book which costed me $2.50 at the post office... Fairhaven Post & Parcel tried charging me 4.95... Now I understand a .25 cent charge for being a 3rd part carrier but $2.45? What a joke.
Went there today to mail some letters and get stamps. I was in and out of there in no time!! I love not having to go to the post office :)
Efficient, friendly and capable. We use them to receive our mail when we travel and send our packages when we are home.
Omg, the GREATEST workers ever. Emily is a true gem to work with. Seriously PROMOTE NOW!
I have done business with them for year always the nicest folks work there always very helpful
Always friendly and helpful.
Easy place to pick up stamps with a poor variety
Helpful staff. A but expensive but worth it to avoid the long lines at the post office.
Friendly staff - most of the time they dont notify me I received a package - affordable mailbox plans
Always efficient and friendly
I payed $107 to ship my computer to Alberta through Fairhaven Post and Parcels DHL carrier. Several days later I received a message stating that the package would not be delivered until either the receiver or I payed an additional $61.
They have very kind staff here. I was on a budget so the prices were kind of out of my range.
So incredibly expensive! They charge at least 25% more to mail than usps. Ill never go back!
Great service
