Very pleased with the service and prices Bellevue Rare Coins paid me for my coins.I visited the Bellevue store on three occasions, helped by a different person each time. All followed a consistent process to value the coins. They were equally knowledgeable, professional and diligent. My coins were recent (2000’s) uncirculated coin and proof sets; silver dollars, half dollars from 1930’s – 1960’s. Another local dealer indicated he was not keen on purchasing coin sets so I set my expectations low. Bellevue Rare Coins paid me a more-than-fair price based on my Internet research for all the coins. Easy, convenient.
Customer Service at Bellevue Rare Coins is exceptional. Every employee I have dealt with over the years had exceptional knowledge, was very friendly and helpful. I would always recommend Bellevue Rare coins.
They dont acknowledge people waiting in line but when they are helping you they spend any and all the time necessary. Could you please acknowledge the people waiting to be helped!? Were buying and or selling also you know.....
On June 2, I was just in there this afternoon. One of the employees at the Bellevue location. Started arguing with me. Over something very childish. I told him that I did not want to argue with him. He kept persisting. Then he told me that if I keep this up I would not be welcome here anymore. All I said was I did not want to argue with him. This individual was very in your face and argumentative. I’m just a customer wanting to purchase merchandise. Please re-train your employees!!!
Mattie is an awesome sales person and great with kids interested in starting a collection of coins.
Don’t even go this store full of rip off speacialy those guys there not trusted to
We had a fantastic and professional experience yesterday selling some gold coins. John explained things clearly to us each step of the way and made sure it was all clear. This was our third experience using Bellevue Rare Coins and we have had consistently good results.
Spoke with Stacy about a special request for a specific coin for my daughters 30th birthday. After some research she and her team found the perfect 1990 24k Panda Golden Coin. This will be a significant gift representing my daughters birth year and the Chinese Pandemic of 2020. Very pleased with the customer service and the purchase.
This people don’t even know anything about coins and they don’t want to help specially a lady that was working in store between 3-4pm 06 /28 /21 she was rude and very unprofessional this place sucks
In the last 3 months they went from 5 stars to 1.Lowest prices paid than I have found anywhere. Not even close to spot. Even a pawn shop offered more money.
This precious metal dealer was recommended by several of my friends, and I was impressed myself. They had a great selection of bullion coins. The staff is very friendly and professional
Ive been a customer of theirs for 8 years. Years ago they were the gold standard to trustworthy behavior and fair value. All of that has changed. The father died and now they are charging$120 over spot for bullion coins and buying them for spot. Additionally if you buy bullion from them they both cant guarantee delivery and dont guarantee your money back if they fail delivery. As a loyal customer of theirs who dis enough business with them to buy a house with and someone who sent everyone I know to them to buy bullion. Im done. This was shocking. Find a place who guarantees your money back promptly if they fail to deliver in a timely manner.
Stacey W. is a rare gem in the appraisal world. Patient, knowledgeable, and accommodating. Highly recommend.
Ive always had good experiences and friendly service at Bellevue Rare Coins, both at this location and at the West Seattle store. Soon I will check out the Tacoma store, glad thats open now!Their staff seem very knowledgeable, without being condescending to folks who arent as familiar with their wares. Most importantly, they are FAIR and TRANSPARENT in their pricing, unlike some gold buyers and other coin shops Ive been to before.Ive been going to Bellevue Rare Coins for 6 or 7 years now and have always left feeling like I got a fair deal, whether I was buying or selling. Ive done many deals with them, selling silver, gold, bullion, and more, and Ive also done a fair amount of buying from them as well. That said, if youre looking to buy or sell jewelry, bullion, etc. in the Seattle area, I would always encourage anyone to do price comparisons. Particularly if youre selling a very valuable item, its worth calling around. If you dont want to drive around town, one thing Ive done in the past is just picked a generic item to ask about - say, 1oz American Silver Eagles, and called around to different stores asking how much they pay for that item, and how much they sell them for. This gives you a rough idea of their pricing structure, spread, and transparency.Anyways, Id highly recommend Bellevue Rare Coins to anyone. My family also used them to liquidate an estate collection of coins, bullion and collectibles, and the whole process was smooth and comfortable.
Better not choose here. I doubt if they even have enough efficiency to deal with three customers in an entire day. There are better options. You don’t have a day or two to waste.
The staff is awesome and very knowledgeable, also great priced silver
Outstanding customer service. Angel worked with my sister & I appraising some jewelry our mother left us. Kind of an emotional day! We felt no pressure to sell anything & appreciate her patience & empathy. We will absolutely be back!
I didnt like the way they handled certain transactions. Seemed a bit shady and they seemed to make a buck off other peoples hardships.
Great Place. Walked in and got helped right away. Easiest money I have ever made. Staff was very informative and helpful.
I had rings that I no longer wore and decided to sell them. They were diamonds, emeralds and sapphires. I worked with Kyle Skoglund who welcomed me with a warm & friendly introduction. He told me about Bellevue Rare Coins and what they do there which was very informative. We then sat down to discuss why I was there and wanted to do. He advised me how they purchase the jewelry based on the stones, type of gold and weight. It was a great to leave the past behind and walk out with money that paid for all my excursions in Palm Springs. Thank you Kyle for giving me a great experience.Kelly Hogan
Ive worked with Angel and Joe during the process of selling estate items and found them both to be professional, knowledgeable and fair in their pricing. This is the best place to sell items for a good return. I highly recommend them.
Very professional and prompt service. I needed a quick evaluation and sale of my late Grandmothers coin collection and Angel was very informative in her assessment of the wide variety of coins I had and gave a very fair price. Highly recommended.
Such a simple experience selling some coins today. I appreciate the professional attitude.
I tried hard to make this a positive review even though I’ve had a highly negative experience with them when it comes to selling.I will not get into detail as it’s not fair to the company as a whole. These guys are professional, the store is clean. And they offer a lot of information.Be happy you received a second star. And that is only from the professionalism of the few I have worked with in this store such as Wendy and Kyle. What I will say is this. These employees here should have a standard price or percentage they are paying out it is very very disappointing to always get different offers from each sales person or different stores .My father introduced me to this place before he passed and spoke very highly of them unfortunately it is just simply not the same .To lowball somebody is one thing. And then after you explain that they’re lowballing you’re they come back with they’re “maximum offer”Which ps. Is still unfair. If you are looking to sell your valuable for the value that they are worth this is not the only place in our state and I will not promote anyone else but I suggest you look else where when selling your products and I am not the only one with this issue as you can see from previous reviews. When I confronted the employee John on this matter complete rationally and kindly .Even keeping my voice down not to let other clients hear the problem. He instead said I was insulting him. Being rude and threatened to not buy my valuables and ask me to leave the store. Again keep in mind this is because he didn’t like that I care informed and knew what I was talking about. He was very frustrated that when he tried to give me the “we need to refine it “ line that I told him his refinery cost and his face became RED as he looked around to make sure people were not listening .Very very upset about this whole thing and problem is we were not far apart on the price it’s self. The amount of money is not a worth the argument it’s the principle and promises you guys built this Buisness on .It is those same “values” you guys claim to pride your selves on.It is just very sad to see a pawn shop offer more money than a bullion dealer . Very sad.
My daughter and I had a wonderful stress free experience at Bellevue Rare Coins. We brought in a suitcase full of items. Joe was helpful, informative and provided exceptional service. We highly recommend Bellevue Rare Coins.
Angel was very kind and helpful. She quickly appraised some of my jewelry and didnt pressure me into selling it. I will be back soon.thanks
GREAT SERIES OF SHOPS! Derek is easy to work with and more than fair! Very happy with these shops!
This store had what I have been looking for a week in different locations, the price was to high, Derek Wood gave me a grate service. I bought a few things and at the end of my transaction Derek Wood called the boos to asked if they could give me the price that I was willing to pay for it and he did it. I end happy with Derek and my transaction. The reason that I dont give 5 stars is because in the past in this location some one wasnt nice with me. I believe, that person doesnt work for this company any more.Todays experience made me to increase the value that this location had in my mind, Derek is doing his job great.
Clean, professional and boring. It appears to primarily be a bullion and jewelry transaction location. They have very limited coins mostly silver of the US of the last 130 years. The personnel are polite but seem not to think much of numismatists
Needed some quick cash came in with some dinky necklaces John had me out the door in under 10 minutes happy as a clam couldnt be happier thank you very much
Great place to buy or sell precious metals. John, Emily and Joe are always helpful, educational and friendly as well as the other staff there.
This was my first time at Bellevue Rare Coins, so I didnt know what to expect. I had an old gold coin, given to me by my uncle, and I wanted to see what it was worth for sale. Kristy was very pleasant to deal with, and offered me spot for it. I went to several other gold dealers in the area, and they could not beat this price. So I sold the coin to BRC. There were no transaction fees, and they gave me cash as I requested. Very pleasant, straightforward and professional
Christian is amazing. A true expert in his craft. Im amazed by his knowledge of how quickly he was able to comb through and know what was authentic before even testing. He worked with me to pay me top dollar. Very professional and friendly environment. There were two other workers who tested everything, although I cant remember there names, both were very thorough and friendly. I will be back. 5 stars all the way!
All i can say is that TROY is the nicest, most genuine young man. We went in to have my sisters ring looked at and it was a difficult time for her. Troy was so compassionate and never pushed an agenda on us. Troy was very knowledgable about her ring and was spot on in his evaluation. The place is so nice and they have awesome things at a fair price. Highly recommend this place and Troy for his outstanding service. Keep up the good work.
I have been a customer of Bellevue Rare Coins for many years, and this last visit was over the top! I had the pleasure of working with Justin Scott, who spent an extensive amount of time going through my pieces explaining in detail, the history and value of my pieces! Justin went above and beyond from looking up strange pieces on the internet to taking the time to answer ALL my questions! I was made to feel like I was the only customer in the store! I will return and would recommend you ask for Justin when you visit the shop!Kristin
Emily is amazing at her job, thank you. ❤️
I have been to Bellevue Rare Coin twice now and both times the customer service was outstanding. The last time Angel helped me out and she was terrific.
First time@ Bellevue Rare Coins and had a great visit with Justin, who was so patient and kind with me. He explained everything slowly with me so I would feel comfortable and answered all questions I had. I will be back since my experience was fantastic. Thanks Justin!
Good place, but if you dont have a scheduled appointment, can be there for an hour or more waiting.
Best place to get money for your valuables. I went to 4 pawn shops to see how much I can get for my gold. When I came here they doubled every price. Zack was great and helped me very much. Thank you
Not good collection. Poor customer service... waited for 15 mins in an empty store before the lady salesman acknowledged. Was of not much help as she she was apparently still learning on the job...
Angel was very helpful and we had a great experience. We will definitely be returning. Thank you!
Staff will definitely take advantage of you when buying your coins and jewelry. Make sure you educate yourself on what you have before dealing with this company.
My husband heard of this place on the Bob Rivers show and we visited them for the first time today. They really do give the best price because we shopped around and were priced $80 above competitors pricing. Will definitely recommend this place to others and will be back for more business.
Very friendly, knowledgeable, professional, trustworthy, gracious people! I cannot say enough good things about my many experiences here.I shopped around before coming here and now I wouldnt dream of taking my silver and gold anywhere else! And a special thank you to Jessie!
We needed extra money for moving! Took some old jewelry (gold & silver rings, a gold necklace and some earrings) to Bellevue Rare Coins and got $353.00! The gal that helped us was quick at evaluating our pieces and prompt in paying us! We will definitely use them again!
Stopped by today hoping to trade gold Austrian Philharmonic coins for silver Canadian Maple Leaf coins. Based on some prior reviews on low offers, I kept my initial expectations in check. Trading online is expensive due to shipping and insurance charges and another coin shop I used was closed, so I thought I would give Bellevue Rare Coins a try. I am so glad I did.I was greeted and helped immediately by Riley. After a quick call to their bullion trader, I was pleasantly surprised to find their buy back price was higher than my usual online dealer in Florida who I have used for the past 10 years. They offered a slight discount on the silver price that brought the gold/silver trade ratio to just shy of 78 - not bad considering the gold/silver spot ratio was 87 that day.Dont let the small store front fool you - they are a dealer who can handle all sizes of sales or trades. I will be returning soon!
Terrible. An older woman waited on me. She was slow and seemed like she didnt have a clue what she was doing. Kept quiet, wrinkled her nose said diamonds and gems were poor quality. Test the gold which proved to be good was stamped as such but handed it back saying I dont know about that one. Showed my wheat pennies; she said no value without looking at the dates. (Yet theres an article on the website about them) Silver certificates, said they were face value (again, an article). No real explanation just snob attitude. When leaving, I saw her speaking with a coworker, whom was rechecking her work, smiling, laughing flipping her hand over the jewelry like it was junk. I feel I was ripped off. I do not recommend this place.
My wife and I wanted to see if it would be worth getting rid if some old rings and necklaces. She considered them junk. We were hoping for $500 with a 5g bar. We got $908 without the 5g bar. It was barely a handful of stuff. We worked with Chase who was very nice and honest. Go get some christmas money!
Wow..these guys are so rude, i just entered into store for some information and there are two employees just standing there and no one bother to widh or talk to me, after 5 min i approched a guy standing there and i asked him can anyone help me, he just said wait...i waited waited...there is no token system or anyother system there..lol its 2019 how these guys r working..
It was only on the phone but Angel went the extra mile to check the other stores for me. It may seem simple but I really appreciated her time, Phil gets an assist in West Seattle for answering questions.
Fraud Bellevue rare coins. This should be the name they switche to.They have a lot of fake low quality stuff.Be careful. They are Professional scams.I had a few very bad experience with them
I had a very bad experience that no gold bars( which I can get for less price when compared to coins) were available even through I have been to store located in Bellevue multiple times by making a call prior to visiting the stores. Every time I got confirmation on the bars availability over a call but the store does not have bars. I was not delayed though as I reached the store in 10 mins in one occasion as well. This happened especially when the gold price is less. The customer care gave me false information and made me drive to the store multiple times, but no luck with gold. The staff in the store is not so friendly and most of them gave wrong info about the purchase and sales as well. I don’t recommend this at all.
Very friendly and professional service, Angel and Louis were happy to answer my questions and find what I needed!
I highly recommend Bellevue Rare Coins. Justin was friendly, professional, patient, and super-helpful--I will be doing business with BRC again very soon! Thank you!
Went to BRC to have some family heirlooms looked at and valued to sell. Was helped by Zack who was very knowledgeable, helpful, and professional. He made the experience easy and comfortable. Definitely recommend BRC in Bellevue and Zach.
I waited over an hour today to get an estimate and gentleman helping me was very rude. Do not go to Bellevue Rare Coins. I went around the block to a new company Gold & Silver Traders at 10825 NE 2nd Street in Bellevue. There was no wait, they were very professional and kind. Most important, they gave me a bid 20% higher than Bellevue Rare Coins. Bellevue Rare Coins is not worth doing business with
I sold them my Rolex, got a good price .. they are supportive knowledgeable, and advisory as well Sure I will be back to them if I need .. but I emails them 2 times with no respond . i think fast communication is what they needs.
Angel was amazing!!! Great customer service and very helpful!
I brought in some gold liberty coins some $5 $10 and $20 coins and instead of saying that they all were worth 96% of melt value they looked at all 10 coins and gave me a separate price on every coin based on condition which I thought was really cool
Customers serve was amazing, Angel was fabulous and fun...
Worst and fake shop ever seen. This is the gold shop without gold. Whenever i called and enquired they tell gold bars are available and when i walk through the store they tell its not at all available. When i ask for mapple coin initially they told its there later that is also not available. Wasted my whole day. Very stupid staff selling gold without any information. Especially when thegold rate is low they will not sell the gold this there policy. I would have given zero rating if available in scale.
Awesome customer service. Very nice, knowledgeable and fair.
Their customer service sucks..i have been waiting for 45 mins and not body cares about ..and they say its their lunch time and walk away infront of you even though you are waiting ...Its better to close your counter during lunch time or put some instrutions when you serve rather than keeping customers wait for indefinite time. ..
They pay the nearest amount to spot price for silver coins than any other retailer in the area. The staff are polite, friendly and down to earth.
This is my first review I have done on anything...ever. Im only writting it because I really LOVE this place! I used to buy silver and gold from APMEX but this place is much cheaper in the small quantities I buy and I dont have to wait for shipping.I went in with my girlfriend about 6 months ago. She was looking at rings and pointing out ones she liked. I came back in to buy her a Valentines day present and the lady helping me knew which one she wanted! I was pretty sure I knew it as well, but she confirmed it. Her memory was amazing. Not only did she remember the favorite, but her second favorite as well. I was so impressed I had to bring myself to write a review.
Knowledgeable staff, great service and easy parking.
Knowledgable staff and fair prices.
I had rare coin worth $1800-2500 I need it to sell. they offered $5. Offering me $5 insult of my time I have spent there I sold it later $2000. . just imagine how much profit they are making.
Sometimes service is lacking but overall satisfied
Not a good place to go
