Called ahead to inquire about exchanging some shoes for a half size up. The associate, Dorian I think his name was, pulled the shoes and held them at the register for me when I came by the following day and had a very positive no hassle experience! I think Mark was the associates name who actually did my exchange when I got there the next day and it was so simple of a procedure but I APPRECIATED the heck out of the totally outstanding customer service from the staff there!Big PROPZ to the Big 5 team at Factoria!Thank you gentlemen!John
To start, Big 5 is my favorite sporting goods retail chain. But I really enjoyed this location. Im somebody that is knowledgeable about the items I shop for here. Im always greeted when I come in and asked if I need any help. If I respond with no, Im left alone to shop hassle-free. Can not express how much I enjoy that. At the same time, if a question arises, its easy to grab a staff member and get help.
No ammo and no good sales and nobody to help you. The only staff there is at the register to take your moneyTheir heyday has come and gone
Quick help looking at shoes. Overheard an employee telling someone else where they could find what they were looking for. Thanks
I was helped right away by the employees and was in and out of the store within 5-7 minutes. Friendly conversation, smiles, and laughs was my experience at the factoria location.
Exterior of the building is kind of a seer back but inside is giant and clean and very well organized.
I always check out the sales there.. pretty good gear prices...
All of the employees at the Big 5 in Factoria were extremely nice and very helpful. In all of the years that Ive been going there this has always rung true. Its a great store. Ive always been able to find what Im looking for and if I have any questions regarding my purchases the sales staff has always been very knowledgeable about every product in their store.
Its a very affordable store.Right opposite to factorial walmart. Some good deals were found here.If you have its valpack cupon you will get $5 off 20 .The employees are nice too if you cant find something. The store needs better lighting though, more white lights near soccer cleats section.Clothes, shoes, sports gear etc all under one roof .Email subscription gets 10%off .
Good inventory and nice people willing to help. Sad to see only one other customer while I was there. COVID hurting them.
Smaller than average big 5, but friendly helpful staff...
Staff are friendly, lots of parking, good place for shopping your sporting needs.
Great staff! Cute clothes and reasonably priced!
This is the best time of the year to buy winter jackets, hoodies and sweaters .. they have a big sale which makes buying the famous brands very affordable.
Big 5 is a sporting goods store with an extensive variety of sport equipment and clothing.I like shopping there as the prices are reasonable and I have always found what I needed.Staff is friendly and very helpful.
Good display, lots of nice sporting goods in stock.
Visited to buy snow pants from there. The stuff was very good and quite economic as well
Been shopping here since 1982ish. Got my first baseball glove here. Its a Mizuno. Still have it. Really friendly employees here and good selection of sporting and camping goods. Lots of shoes!
Horrible service.. no experience
Didnt even get a hi so I left after 10 minutes. Found shoes at fred meyer.
An intimate well organized store. You can find everything to have fun staying safe and healthy. A Must visit.
Got a great pair of Asics running shoes for a superbprice..... 12 $ less than the sale price on the box! Staff was engaging and helpful.
Wide variety. Easy to sift through.
Unable to keep weight training equipment in stock. What little they have is good. Three stars because all of their clothing is for short people. No tall at all.
Employees had no clue what they are selling or what they have
Spent $100 and they didnt even offer me a bag. Hate that!
Prices are reasonable.
Good prices, friendly staff, had what I needed.
Good customer service and helpful employees and staff. I feel welcomed by the greetings and smiles from your employees and the staff. Keep up the good work and continue greeting your customers with smiles makes us feel welcome and appreciated.
Great customer service
Staff is not very helpful or knowledgeable in regards to products carried by Big5? Although very courteous & polite was their saving grace.
The employees are so friendly. Always willing to help. And wherein they have a sale on things. Are things are usually less than half price, that is a big thing, thank you big 5.
Great stuff! Had all my camping needs at good prices
Nicely stocked store. Had a fair amount of everything that I was looking for and at. Very odd customer service. I walked in and I was ignored. I can be a plus in some places went over started looking at stuff behind glass counter and pretty much ages I dont know if sat on their cell phones. In a store like this I would expect a little engagement with a customer especially when its like nobody there.
Its a Big 5... If youre not familiar, check out their Web site, and/or subscribe to their daily specials email.Always have sales going on, often for popular name brand merchandise. Good prices generally, and lots of selection.Big 5 isnt a Cabelas, say, or Sportsmans Warehouse, but for most family outings, school sports, and similar activities its more than adequate. Theyre often my go-to spot for general outdoor stuff, especially footwear. The staff are nearly always pleasant, helpful, and generally knowledgeable about the merchandise their responsible for. This particular location wasnt as spacious as some others, but otherwise a typical Big 5, as above..
The staff are nice and helpful and the stuff is inexpensive. You can also get recreational licenses there as well (like a fishing license).
The staff and selection is terrific here!
The Staff was simply Awesome! Went over and above to help!!! GREATLY APPRECIATED!
This place does not carry jackets bigger than XL. Its very crowded inside, you can not push a stroller or wheel chair through the store.
Decent clearance prices. Small store with somewhat-helpful shoe people. Nice that they have late-ish hours, too. Very good store for the basics, but like most chain sporting-goods stores, they stock way too much clothing. Must be more profitable per square foot or something.
Okay. Nothing can compare to Sports Authority which is unfortunately no more. Big 5 moved in on all their old locations and it just isnt the same. Customer service and quality of items cant compare to Sports Authority. Ill pay a little more than pay less on a cheap item that breaks over and over again.
Great shoe collection. They have more stuff at this location than others because the store is bigger.
Great store and excellent service.
Great place for general sporting goods! You can get anything from passes to shoes, swimming and clothing, rackets and weapons. The store itself looks a little crowded and could use a bit of cosmetic remodeling. Ample parking outside and easy to spot.
Clean, organized, friendly staff and everyone was masked-up.
Good prices and a good selection. They have inexpensive off brand items and high end things as well.
Good Price 👍👌, Nice people, helping customer
Great service but really expensive equipment if you have a smaller budget dont bother Football gloves there I bought were 45$ flats...
I saw online a sale for a rifle that I wanted to buy. After visiting the store to review the product, I was disappointed the only one left was the display model. Thats okay, it was a pretty good deal, and the display model seemed in good condition. After deciding to purchase it, the manager came over to go over the background check application with me. Neglecting to ask about ammo beforehand, I didnt realize how difficult it was to have the necessary ammo due to its popularity, and how seldom the store actually carried the ammo until I asked after the manager was boxing up the rifle for me. Realizing I hadnt done the proper research and not wanting to have a rifle sit and collect dust, I politely told the manager I had made and mistake, apologized, and said I wouldnt be making the purchase that day.Instead of understanding that these things happen in retail, she berated me and made me feel embarrassed for having submitted a background check. Obviously theres no harm for me to submit one, whether I take home a rifle or not. I think she was annoyed with having processed the application and didnt come out of it with a sale, and felt her time was wasted. I was made to feel like she was doing me a favor instead of a customer who enjoys frequenting their store. Now I cant visit the store anymore without feeling like I owe them time and a rifle purchase, so I wont be patronizing this store anymore.
Low on inventory, but service was good.
Sale items in stock. Not crowded.
No one knows what theyre doing at this store.
I went here because I needed some new workout clothes and figured they would have what I needed. Luckily they had the items I needed but the assistance to actually obtain it, they did not. I had 3 employees walk right by me as I attempted to grab their attention and get some sort of eye contact. Finally in my frustration I was able to get someones attention but they were on their way to the back room so they asked me to wait, even longer. And then about 45 seconds later a different employee finally came to assist me.When I was finally ready to make my purchase and I was waiting at the check out station, there was no employee there. This was frustrating because when I walked in I saw several employees near the front of the store. Again I had to wait until at least 90 seconds until a young woman walked over to ring me out. She was kind enough, the reason for the second star along with happening to have what I needed. Overall as a customer this store needs a class on customer service. As a local business operator to Big 5, they also need a class on loss prevention. This store seems a risk...No one at a register located maybe 10 feet from the entry doors.
Not a huge selection. Went for some kid golf clubs. Had some plastic clubs. Not exactly what I wanted, but bought them anyways to use at the Newcastle mini golf during covid (nobody lending out kid clubs nowadays which is understandable)
Lots to choose from and good staff
Pretty handy store for a fisherman/ sport person.Affordable prices.Sometimes good deals at shoes.
It is sad how many Big 5 Sporting Goods ships remain today. There is always ample inventory available and flyers run weekly with discounts. This store seemed a little cluttered with stuff and it was difficult to separate the marked down stuff from the regular stuff. Staff was friendly and answered questions easily.
Doing a great job of social distancing
Nice staff, good equipment, everything you would need for sports.
Great store and Big5 has an excellent return policy. I returned somehiking boots that I had for more than 90 days but they accepted the return with no questions asked (there was a problem with stitching coming apart.)
Decent selection, staff was ok.
Employees could be more customer friendly
Amazingly big 5 stars loved it
Big 5 is always a great place to visit .. Says anyone at anytime, always. Hahaha.BIG 5 RULES......
Easily got my fishing licenses within a couple of minutes.
Friendly service, good selection but unfortunately they did not have the product I was looking for in stock.
Good place if you are looking to buy sports items. Better discounts with coupons.
They got me the pair of shoes from LA! Thank you Big 5!
I had never heard of this chain before, but I was extremely pleased with the service and will definitely be back.
Their manager is rudest person I have met at in customer service and the entire staff has no sense of customer service either. I was in need of another size in a shoe and I gave them a call ahead to save my self trouble of going there and then find out they dont have it. The sales assured me that they have the size and they can put it on hold. When I went there, the sales guy said, We thought we have it, but we dont. Would you like to take another size? I was extremely frustrated at his response and was thinking to myself, that why would i take another size anyway? I decided to return the shoes that I already had and their manager named Chentel or whatever further added to the bad customer service experience. I asked her to return me in a debit card and she said that they cant return in a debit card. I replied that not true because Renton branch can (which they do, as I did multiple times), at which she said. I worked here for 15 years, if you want a return in a debit card then go ahead return at Renton. I was still not satisfied with her response and went to Renton store to confirm for certain and their manager told me that Yes, we can return in a debit card and they can too. Factoria Store manager clearly lied to my face and finished with rude sentence too. I am certainly not ever going to Big 5 Factoria ever again!!
Staff helpful. Got my steel toe working boots and runners for good price.
Big 5 Sporting Goods - Factoria is a small store but the staff is always helpful and you can find really great prices, there are Nike running shoes that are $20+ cheaper here than at other stores.
Packed with DESIRABLE items.
Usually try to stop by this Big Five on the way out of town. Location near the mall can be somewhat of a cluster-mess on the weekends, or near holiday/sale seasons.Service is usually a little under par, but that seems to always be because they are understaffed rather than being poor salesmen. When you can get ahold of someone, they are generally more than happy to help you with whatever your needs.Inventory is usually pretty good. They dont seem to carry anything that could be described as state-of-the-art or top-of-the-line, but their products usually are well priced and get the job done.
Overpriced items . Just buy on Amazon
The staff couldnt have been more helpful. A special shout out to Chantell, she went above and beyond the call of duty.
Good selection and reasonable prices. Good selection of knee, wrist, and elbow braces.
Poor customer service and rude manger. Upon entry I said hello but there was no reponse from the lady at the counter, who I later realized was actually the manger because she was ordering people around. The other employees were pretty helpfull but the rude aggressive manager made it an undesirable place to shop. The store is also very disorganized and stuff is scattered everywhere. Small selection of quality items.
Good selection, reasonable prices, checkout sometimes understaffed
Nice place. Everything a Big 5 should have, they have! Nice staff too
They had the waterproof gloves I needed
Not bad, I come here to get my fishing licenses and gear on a pinch, other than that, I dont really buy goods from here.
Friendly staff. My purchase rang up wrong, but I didnt notice until after I had left -- not worth going back to save a dollar though.
The staff they have at the front desk is either drunk or high on something. This lady took extremely long to scan each item, was making incoherent conversations and stated Im sorry I actually took an energy drink or something during my break We were absolutely disgusted .Would not go here again.
Very nice staff, helpful knowledgeable folks, but less selection of goods overall.
These guys and gals have gone above and beyond the call of duty when it comes to keeping feet safe for hiking.
Need more workers. Only 2 people doing everything.
You can get affordable shoes
One of my favorite place to shop
Use to work there, but now shop there, cause they give me a military discount.
Great stuff, good prices, good stick and non pushy salespeople readily available!
Friendly and helpful staff. Email blast item I wanted was in stock!
Friendly staff with good prices for on sale items.
A little loud in the place what the food is great
One of the few remaining sporting goods stores left, with gray bargains on all types of shoes
Very messy store, staff is somewhat knowledgeable, and policies are flexible. Nothing too outstanding or awful
Cheap merchandise overall but not necessarily a value. Case in point is a headlight (for use in hiking/outdoors). It seemed bright but in actual use (and compared to other headlights in the hiking group) was very weak and beam wasnt wide at all. Also looked for hiking boots and the quality was Wal-Mart and I just know they will only last a few hikes if that. The rain shell (jackets) were very reasonable compared to other stores like REI or even Sports Authority but material was thin and the type that doesnt breathe so you get all clammy anyway from your own body heat even though its water proof. On the good side, they had a great deal on a folding chair and first-aid kits and some other camping supplies where quality isnt much of a factor.I guess I was looking more for hiking/camping supplies and I would say this is not the best store for that. The team sports sections looked ok.Hunting/fishing seemed inferior ...just got to Dicks for that. Or even Wal Mart!So...overall...meh...its just ok.
Shopping their sales is the way to go. Sports clothing tends to be expensive for what you can get there.
I bought a racquet ball gear from this big 5 sporting goods store in Factoria mall, Bellevue, wa and the racquet broke with in a month. Its $219 racquet was sale on $79. First they didnt give me the come that its suppose to come with. but then they found it and gave it to me on my later visit. On my 5th game within 1 month the racquet got hit by another racquet and it broke (the frame itself broke). I took it back and the store manager was so rude talking to me and insisted me to bring the receipt. I got the big 5 tags on racquet and my visa receipt (purchase of over $100) with big 5 but she didnt honor any of that stuff. She was so rude and blunt - this is my 2nd time bad experience with this big 5 in particular. She did not return/exchange the racquet...rather she started commenting about the racquet - o this has been used blah blah... anyways..thats it for me with big 5 guys...(atleast for this branch...) ---- they totally suck...(no smiles - no greetings...its like they are doing favor to us standing behind the register....I may report to BBB folks...
Good stuff at reasonable prices
