My go to hardware store. Maybe not the extremes of variety you might get at Home Depot, but high-quality stuff, and, perhaps more importantly, great quality advice, and you never feel rushed when youre asking a question. The wood quality here is definitely higher than the quality at Home Depot or Lowes.

They sent me $9800.00 of twisted, warped, and checked wood. They exchanged the bad boards with even worse boards. They eventually asked me to never come back. The worse part is I have to be reminded of these people every time I go out on my new deck.. What they say and what they do are 2 different things.

The customer service was amazing! However when we went to the lot to get our order, our vehicle was struck by an impatient forklift driver. Could stand a little more organization and patience!

I recently went to Dunn Lumber for the first time on a recommendation from Curtis Reed at Floorcraft in Bellevue. I am on the tail end of my first full remodel and wanted to pick out some trim that would go with my home that was built in 1945. I wanted something different than the standard flat stock everyone seems to be using, after looking at several places before I heard of Dunn Lumber, I can see why, THERE ARE TOO MANY CHOICES!! When I got to Dunn the staff was extremely helpful and I finally made some progress thanks to Tristan, Ethan (brothers) and Ian. It was cool to see people that really liked what they were doing, could talk about the stuff for days, and were extremely knowledgeable. They made me feel VIP! They also showed me these display rooms they have built out in the store, with 6-8 of the most popular trim styles. I completely missed this on my way in thinking they were door show rooms. I am a very visual person, and no other supplier in the area that I have one across had this option, which helped a TON. You can actually see how all the different pieces will look together in a home setting. Tristan, Ethan, and Ian are the real deal and I highly recommend them. I own a business myself and guys like this are hard to find. Thanks again guys and Dunn Lumber!

Great customer service. You can basically get a tutorial on any project from experts and as much feedback as you could hope for. There are definitely less expensive sources, but they dont have people to coach.

They have a created a very safe environment to shop for your lumber and associated needs. The folks are very friendly and helpful. Express check out is available if you are just purchasing items off the shelf. Take a number if you need to purchase from the wood yard or other specialty items.

Dont waste your time. After an hour and a half calling this morning to try and ask somebody if they had a particular stain in stock before wasting a drive through traffic, they still had nobody that would answer the phone in the paint department and the operator was extremely rude. If brick and mortar buildings want to stay in business through this pandemic they need to add something besides increase the prices. I just purchased what I needed online for $20 a gallon less. Screw the local business

Dunn lumber is the best. I just moved to this area and I am amazed. You will leave the store with the right materials and tools the FIRST time! They dont sell junk tools that will break on first use. The staff is super knowledgeable and friendly. Plus their wood is always straight, and is delivered next day. If you are going anywhere else, its because you are cheap and you think you know it all.My only gripe, is that I couldnt find any American made nails. I try to buy American even if it costs more.

Was completely confused about what to order. Steve was patient and a huge help. He helped with what and how much baseboards to buy. Showed me samples and let me take them home. Much better to buy local!

I had a bad experience with them.I ordered a door and after three weeks come broken and very poor quality. I tried to get a refund but they refused saying they will fix the door . After about three months i still didnt get my door and finally i got the refund.I dont recommend to buy from them they have very bad returns policy and hiden rulse.So for this reason i gave them one star.

Good store but frustrating to be there anytime after 12.. the check out desk is busy handling phone orders and you will wait for 10-20 min when one out of 7-9 people are helping in store customers. Very frustrating as a contractor whos there every week. Lessons learned be there before noon or wait till the next day

I went to Dunn Lumber Bellevue last week for a small yard project that I was not sure about.From the minute I walked into the store, everyone was very nice -- from the greeting lady to the gentlemen at the desk and to the one at the warehouse.The experience was much better than what I had at Home Depot. People at Dunn Lumber showed they truly care about customer service, and they gave you the RIGHT advice for your project.I wish all businesses could have excellent customer service like Dunn Lumber Bellevue, but sadly no.

After failing to order wood i paid for a week earlier they offered no corrective action. No apology either. On my urging they did recommend a competitor - chinook lumber. 20 minute drive but they had the wood in stock and for >20% less. Great customer service to boot. Chinook was a great place! Thanks dunn lumber for the recommendation!Edit: Thanks for the reply Jim. Certainly ordering the wood I paid for and was told would be there in three days would have been a good solution. Even ordering the alternative length would have been a reasonable alternative Another option would have been ordering both. The option of ordering nothing for a week and blaming me for not returning the call was what your sales associate chose. Your comments echo this sentiment. Your comments also speak to why I posted my review- no action to correct the wrong decision making of your sales associate. I think potential future customers should be aware of this lack of oversight and the option of a cheaper, better service elsewhere.

I visited the Bellevue store as I need to replace some beveled lap siding on my garage. The two employees that I dealt with, both at the service counter and in the lumber warehouse were extremely pleasant, eager to help, and generous with advice. Could not have been a better experience.

Probably interesting place if you know what you want. In my case I wanted to get an advice (recommend me fence contractors - local fences are mostly wooden). Had to ask several people, wait and at end I got booklet with list of general contractors. Hmm, strange way to communicate with customers.

I love Dunn Lumber. They have the biggest selection of timber in Washington. I was looking for Acacia hardwood and ironwood. It is difficult to go anywhere else to get these types of wood product. However, you can always find them at Dunn lumber. The people there really know their products. If they cant get what you want, theyll go out of their way to get it.

Wow. These guys are the real thing. They know their stuff. Ricky and Gage helped me find exactly what I needed for my project and walked me through the entire process.

Ive gone to the Everett and Lynnwood stores and like them. This Dunn location is horrible. In addition to being understaffed, they run a very confusing and inefficient operation. They have a take a number system that isnt followed or enforced. Once you have your order in, prepare to wait more. I stand here in a gaggle with other customers were looking at each other surprised to who got called back.It took 21 minutes to place my order and another 33 to get 6 boards. The quality is less than other Dunn locations. I have an account and have been a Dunn customer for 13 years. I will never come to the Bellevue location again. Im not sure I will go to other locations anymore either.

Great local building and home repair store. Honest and fair....

Ordered some LVL and Glulam last Friday, sales rep told me Dunn Lumber has trucks coming twice a week and my order will be available for pick up the following Wednesday. My material never made it on the truck for Wednesday delivery and sales rep told me this Friday they will have it for sure. I called back Friday afternoon to see if I can pick up my order as I need it ASAP and sales rep said it did arrive but Dunn Lumber hasnt put it in their system yet so I cant pick it up, he assured me someone will call me on Saturday. Well here we are, just called Dunn Lumber again and this time the sales rep told me my material NEVER ARRIVED!! He blamed it on CenturyLink saying their phones werent working properly when my order was placed.... yeah... ok...

Full disclosure, I do work for Dunn. We have and make mistakes, but we own them. I plan on retiring from this company. Never before have I worked at such a good company. Give em a shot, you wont be disappointed.

I cant believe what happened at this store!!!!I went to buy some plywood and these people had me waiting for so long at the wear house that I ended up taking a nap rather than getting upsetAt the end some guy came saying that they didnt have any of that material!!!!!! 👿 They need to have their inventory updated.They ended up sending me to another Dunn lumber! I spent a total of 3 hours driving and waiting in order to get my material it sucked

Dunn Lumber Bellevue is a fantastic lumber and hardware yard..They have expanded their lines of plumbing and electrical neccesities. They have a great assortments of supberb caulks and sealants. I always enjoy their fine selection of the latest tools. They constantly are striving to have what you need when you show up. I have associated with Dunn Lumber for over 30 yrs and the counter, and outside sales have kept up and continued great service. The lumber is always of the best Quality.
