The guy trace working the meat department around 5:30 pm today Was very rude and unprofessional. He was so friendly to the little white lady that was before me but interacted with me as if he didn’t want my service . Check the cameras to you’ll see him cursing running to the back to stock the oven . When he completed my order there was barbecue sauce all on the outside of my two containers. Didn’t even bother to wipe it off . Very disgusted

I meant to stop here briefly to drop off plastic bags for recycling, but of course I walked on in to see if anything would pop off the shelves and into my cart. And of course it did as this Schnucks store has so many temptations! I like the open, airy feeling of this building and its cleanliness. The staff were friendly and the woman at the self checkout station caught on quickly when I was struggling to read the small print with the number code on the fruit label. She was very pleasant as she helped me out without making me feel useless or embarrassed. Ill shop here more often from now on even though I live closer to other grocery stores.

Bakery: pre-made cake... wait time for personalized greeting was excessive due to Manager having to check it for approval... they shouldve discounted it. What a mess... smeared section where it must have not looked right, re done and still sloppy... couldve atleast applied icing to smooth it out. $22 for quarter sheet cake that lacked severely on appearance when added birthday greeting. The poor new girl tried, and was friendly. Shame on the Manager whom shouldve came out with her new employee (show support for her and care for your customer), explained the situation and discounted in apology for the lack luster product.

Insane prices and limited stock. Ive lived in Western Washington, Phoenix, Houston and Las Vegas and I can tell you that if you havent shopped outside of St. Clair County your experience is limited. The prices at this food store are exceedingly high and the selection is poor. During our one and only time we will shop here, we bought a bag of bananas for $1.99. In weighing the bag at check out, there were only 3 lbs. which at $.49 a lb was about $1.50. A clerk came over at checkout and was only interested in charging for the whole bag against my protestations when the idea, I assume, was to pay less for buying more. She didnt understand what I was telling her and got flustered. We wont be back.

I really like this location its convenient and Schnucks products are very good. They have very large baking potatoes and the best cheese. I just love their Schnucks bran sliced cheese in the dairy section, it makes the absolute best grill cheese.

The store is very very clean comparatively speaking to the surrounding stores. The staff is beyond courteous and helpful. Everything you need plus more will be found in this store. The bathrooms are very clean and has handicap parking and accessibility. As long as this store keeps up with their long stretch of great service I will continue to go here...

Im willing to pay a little extra for food to avoid the chaos of Walmart and similar stores. Isles arent crowded, lines sometimes look long but they actually staff enough cashiers to get everyone through quickly. Produce and bakery items have always been great in my experience.

Love this store. Its clean. Has nice cuts of meat. Each department is well stocked, not like Walmart. Employees are very nice and I like shopping there.

Great workers and great selections of all food items

Some of their employees are wearing gloves which is fine if thats what they choose to do. However they are possibly spreading the virus because they are not changing those gloves. I stood in line 15 minutes watching this clerk constantly ringing customers out with the same gloves and was NOT cleaning them or anything. When I finally reached her I asked if she could simply remove her gloves or change them out, she refused. The lady that was directing the line was also rude telling me I couldnt go to another lane and had to go back to the end of the line. I have never been treated so poorly and I shop here all the time. Using the same gloves is cross contamination and what they dont know is the virus sticks to gloves. Be careful whos lane you go down. Stay Safe everyone because its clear this location right in my neighborhood does not care for our safety.

Theyre remodeling.I dont know where theyre going to put the customer service desk. I went there to buy some fish, but the seafood attendant never acknowledged me after I stood there waiting. Nevertheless, I didnt fish.

Our favorite store! Schnucks Carlyle always has enough items. The store is pricier than other stores. Its certain things I can only find at Schnucks. It was crowded and the cashiers did a great job moving the lines.

While some small price increase in comparable items occurred when ShopnSave sold this store to Schnucks, new products appeared that I previously had to drive several times as far to buy, or couldnt get anywhere else. In fact, I can ride my bike if the weather permits.

I like Schnucks, and a lot of employees from Shop n Save did transfer to Schnucks who bought them out. Schnucks is higher on their prices. They have expanded offerings, theyre items are fresh and widened aisles. Again, it is going to take some getting used to for me. Employees all seem to be courteous. I rarely ask for help but when I do the majority are helpful and friendly.

Always have a very positive experience, Kelly was our checker today and as always friendly, but anyone who knows her they have same opinions. We love our Schnucks cashiers and some from shop n save. Every once in awhile it doesnt hurt for these employees to get a pat on the back just to let them know how much their appreciated especially in this uncertainty.

They were so kind and helpful, and my son & Is SUPERHERO!I had to call them less than 24hours in advance and ask if there was anyway possible for them to me a Spider-Man cake for my sons 6th Birthday! Nice store. The only thing I would change would be the length of the aisles. They are as long as the store without a break half way through. A very long walk to the next aisle

Hi, I live close and often purchase my groceries, dog food and exclusively use the pharmacy at Schnucks. I like the atmosphere, selection, quality meats and produce. Sometimes the prepared deli offerings have a little too much unknown ingredients for my food sensitivities so I avoid them somewhat. Prices seem to be on the high side compared to Aldis and Walmart, but the experience is better, like the neighborhood grocer I grew up around. I really like the cooked meals. Realize its not easy to keep it expansive, but please keep doing that near holidays. I noticed and appreciated. Your staff is great! Thank you!

Nice clean store, nice variety of items, prices are way too high and I was hoping when the new store opened, maybe the customer service would get better, it hasnt, the customer service is still horrible. Whats up with the rewards program? They dont ask for your phone number anymore, why? Is program going away? I went to the check out and ask for something like a small box or something for a boutique of roses so they would not fall over in the car on the way home. Im sure there are plenty of boxes or something to prevent spillage of water and ruining my flowers in the car for the drive home. The cashier said, sorry, we have nothing and did not give a damn about my request. Very sorry customer service. Still too long of waits at the Deli still. And when waited on, they treat you like they are doing you some big favor. Lousy, lousy, lousy. New store, old bad habits. Very disappointing.

No little carts inside the store so I had to use a large cart for less than 10 items. Found everything I had on my list and the lines to check out were fairly short so I was in and out fairly quickly. Biggest complaint about this store is sometimes it is hard to find an employee in the store who can help you with a question, usually about where to find something.

I like this store but the cashiers at self checkout arent great. They stand behind that podium and refuse to come out if you need help. It gets frustrating

Since the store moved it is easier to find things because the aisles are wider, before if a cart came in the same aisle as you you only had about a half inch between the 2 carts but now its wider and its easier to see whats on the shelves. The only thing I dont like is how high the shelves are because Im so short.

This is a very basic, standard grocery store. Kind of the same as the shop n save it replaced. Nothing gourmet or fancy. The lighting is oppressively bright, even for a supermarket.

Over priced, rude staff, and manager doesnt deal with customer complaints. I went there happy to buy my girlfriend and her friend flowers and to buy ribs for a meal spent 80$. Setting up the perfect night for my friends and i. Upon reaching the check out i was presented with a very rude employee. We exchanged a few words and i was instantly dissatisfied with her service. I then went to another register with a different employee to distance myself to not cause a argument. She proceeded to follow me and harass my friend and i after cleary being told to leave me alone. I then proceeded to ask the nice employee if there was a manager on duty and the rude employee jumped in the conversation again to ask if i wanted her to call the manager. I told her she could. The manager came and did not deal with my issue properly. Telling me its my fault that she was rude to me. I will never shop at a schnucks again due to their prices, customer service, and managment. I do not recommened this place. I left very dissatisfied and angry at the situation. Omost ruined my night. I can find cheaper items else were you think they would be more polite for the business during this pandemic.

Be prepared for Schnucks prices. This is no longer Shop N Save. However shelves are always stocked and store is always clean and organized. Watch out for sales because for things like cereal, water, bread, etc you would be better off driving 3-4 minutes in either direction on Carlyle Ave to Walgreens or Walmart to save a few bucks!

The new layout and renovations after buying out Shop n Save, are really nice, but I dont think their meat department is as large as the old store. Their prices are high, I thought they had better sales on meat at the old store. I told my husband their prices are so high to pay for the upgrades and renovations they did (lol).
