We had contacted three different companies who did cabinet refacing. The minute Rick came to our home and explained his process that he would use to reface our 40 year old cabinets, we knew we wanted him to do the job. Rick and his helper, Tom, worked every minute they were in our home. Tom removed the doors and Rick started removing our laminate. Then fresh, white laminate was applied and things began to take shape. The whole process only took 3 days! Our cabinets are now a bight white and have made a huge difference in the brightness of our kitchen.I HIGHLY recommend that if you are wanting to reface your cabinets, Rick is your guy ! Our cabinets are gorgeous, our kitchen looks brand new and we have gained a lot more storage by simply installing doors more efficiently. We went with white laminate cabinets which I was initially hesitate about because 1. We have four kids who are in our kitchen all the time and dont always have the cleanest hands and 2. I was concerned the laminate would look cheaper. It looks awesome and is so easy to clean. Were eatatic with the end product.

Pricing was fair, especially after checking some box-store pricing and labor charges. He corrected things the original cabinet installers made work with quality repairs and then refaced the cabinets before installing our choice of doors and hardware. Rick did a great job and was professional from start to finish. Rick and his assistant completed the transformation of our older cabinets to a new more modern look in only 7 days completely changing the look of our kitchen. We hired Rick and Cabinet Refacing By Design to convert our standard, contractor grade Tub/Shower combination in the hall bathroom in beautiful walk in shower. Rick came to our house with a day or two to survey and measure (at no cost) and provided a quote 24 hours later.We mentioned that we also needed the exhaust fan in that bathroom replaced. Rick was happy to add that to the quote for a very reasonable price.We also chose too include a double sliding glass door vs a shower curtain. Rick gave us a very generous allowance in his quote for the shower door. We chose to upgrade to Brushed Nickel finish for a very small amount. Because of Ricks coordination with his supplier, the shower doors were installed shortly after the shower was complete. Normally you dont get these doors installed for 2 weeks after the shower install.We had a very specific set of dates for the work to be done. Rick and his team were able to accommodate with out issue.Rick and Tom arrived on the agreed day at 7am, just as they told us they would. They communicated with us on progress every step of the way.The shower install was completed in 2 days. Rick and Tom cleaned up after all the work (it may have been cleaner afterwards than before work started) and hauled away everything!They were courteous and respectful. Even brought in our Amazon packages.This has been the highest quality and best contractor experience since we moved into our house over twenty years ago.
