Schaefer has serviced a few vehicles of mine, specifically my ‘99 Cobra and ‘04 F250. Their workmanship is fantastic, along with their customer service. I’ve recommended them to numerous friends searching for a quality mechanic.

Schaefer recharged my truck in 2019 for 75 bucks. 2 years later they wanna charge me 135 dollars to vacuum and recharge my truck with refrigerant. If this isnt price gouging at its finest I dont know what is.

Kind, Courteous and honest. They could’ve easily upcharged me for their service, but they didn’t —they were quick to get me in, service my car and gave me a reasonable price. They took the extra time to explain things to me in a manner that I would understand.

Hands down best experience I’ve ever had taking my vehicle to any auto shop. Not only, are Ben and Bryan two very knowledgeable and cool dudes, but they are also very truthful. These two guys aren’t in the business to deceive or mislead anyone into repairs or unnecessary service on their vehicle. Just two honest men doing honest work. They were honest with me with both of my vehicles that I brought into them. Fortunately enough I didn’t have to replace the heater core in my Jeep thanks to them. Over all true class act and I wouldn’t take my vehicle anywhere else, nor would I recommend anyone else to.

Pros: Cost, Time, Professionalism.This shop has been beyond incredible in every interaction that i have had with them! These guys are able to tackle anything from simple oil changes to extensive custom builds and repairs. From what i have seen, they will take their time to ensure that the customer fully understands what they are doing, they will go above and beyond for the customer and ensure support even after the job is done.

I want to start this review by saying Ive had some extremely bad experiences with other mechanic shops (not Schaefer Automotive) in the past. I had some exhaust work done here over a year ago and everything went without a hitch, so I decided to use them again. The price was reasonably fair for the work I had done. The second time around went well in the end. There were some initial issues with a bad part but Ben resolved the issue at no additional cost to me. I will definitely continue to use this shop in future.

Took my truck there this week to fix the a/c. They were great. Explained everything to me. Now it is ice cold. Also fixed a check engine light. Very reasonable. Highly recommend.

Our advice, check ALL fluids after repairs. Radiator, oil, transmission fluid. It seems someone working there is sabotaging cars for more business. Weve come across 5 other people with the same problem. Fluids tampered with. Our car mysteriously had hardly any oil after repairs. We check it regularly. Our car was ruined.

Ben and the gang put on headers and all new exhaust on my 68 newport. Great work I will definitely be back there should be a 10 star button. These guys are great.

Took my vehicle to Schaffer Auto after trying a few others in the area. The service cannot be beat! They gave me a clear explanation of what my car needed done and the cost was extremely fair. I gladly drive over from St. Louis to have both of my vehicles worked on here.

Called to set up an appointment and was told to come on in. Got there and they took my truck right in. I have a check engine light on and the code indicated a ait intake temperature valve. They inspected and found an animal have chewed the wire. They were very friendly, courteous and HONEST. Recommended them to my grandson has a problem with emission. These guy are my new mechanics. Trevor was awesome.

I was so impressed with how quickly Schaefer Automotive was able to get my car in to be seen. Going to school full-time and working I have few free days and I appreciated them squeezing me in and helping me out. Ben and his crew were very helpful and answered all of the questions I had. As a lady, I am often skeptical of automotive places and have had experiences in the past with places telling me I need this and that taken care of when I know for a fact, I dont or its already been done. Ive been a customer of Schaefers since about 2011/2012 ish. These guys are my go to mechanics. All of the staff are polite and know what they are talking about. The prices are fair, but your paying for outstanding service. I recommend these guys to all of my friends and family.

The guys at Schaefer are great to work with. They found an engine replacement for my 2009 VW Routan with a good warranty, and the job was done quickly. I will definitely visit them again if I have any needed repairs in the future.

Rundown:2016 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 5.3 exhaust setup.First and foremost, I pulled up to the shop and realized everything in the lot was custom. THATS how I knew I was in the right place.Ben and the crew set my exhaust up, which is unbelievable to me. Better than I expected.The tips I brought in were set according to body lines which I did not expect to be as clean as they are. No leaks. Great price. Very very impressed and will be returning.They installed from my header collectors to tip. Y pipe, 3 tubing, Carven muffler and 4 dual tip. Good solid clean welds and in a timely manner. Ben came out to make sure I was happy with the product. Damn pleased is what I am haha.Cant express how clean the work was. Saying Ill be a returning customer is an understatement. Ill be sending Ben and the boys all my business. Thanks again fellas!
