I have used this mechanic shop several times over the years. They have always given quality service at an affordable price. They are knowledgeable in servicing basically every foreign and domestic automobile or truck. These are my go-to guys.

They charged me to clean the battery terminals and then I picked up the car with the dead battery. They jumped it and said I just needed to drive it and recharge the battery;the next morning when I went to start it the battery was completely dead. I took it to the experts at Honda and they said that the battery had been allowed to discharge completely and had to replace the battery. Called the owner and he really just did not seem to care. Big waste of time on a busy day and if they cant be trusted with the small thing they cant be trusted with the big thing.

I have gone to this shop for many years never had any problems but on my last visit I brought my vehicle in to get a few estimates I had done completed when they told me their guys missed a lot of work that needed to be completed. So maybe I wouldn’t have had that work done knowing all the maintenance it needed on my vehicle that was 11 years ago. This is a business I’ve always trusted!

I have had so many issues with my vehicle and Mandi and her team are amazing! They have gone above and beyond to help with warranty issues and any other problems that have came up. I am greatly appreciative of a local auto shop who goes to such great measures!

I have been going here for over 15 years. They have always been very good to me and everyone I know who goes there. They know what they are doing. They get us in and out as quickly as possible. I have never had any issues with them. They are an awesome place to use for your vehicle needs. Their prices are definitely fair!!

Explained what the problems were. Held the car a lil bit longer so they could save us money. They over exaggerated the final bill when we dropped the vehicle off, but I was pleasantly surprised the final bill was over $100 less than expected.

Well I had an issue with my 2002 Chrysler Sebring. I was told by one person ( i needed valve cover gaskets regarding an oil leak. I was told by another company that I needed an entirely new oil pan. Frustrated with different diagnoses I took my vehicle to North Belt Automotive where Mandy and the team did what they do best! Fix my problem and saved me money in the process. The problem was the oil plug. She called before repairing it and gave me the cost, I instructed them to go ahead and repair it. Car drove much better after that. I still take it back here and there but I trust this shop way more than a dealer or one of those Firestone type of shops only because their reputation and relationship with the community. I let them even do work on my Benz. This is a great shop.

Only been here once, front end alignment. I will definitely go again. Seems they really know what theyre doing and do it quickly at a reasonable price. Most important, there wasnt any attempt to push other services.

I searched online for a muffler service shop and found this automotive shop that can do anything at all you need! Absolutely amazing! After meeting the service desk manager Greg, I chose to have them check over all of my “check engine” lights advisories. They corrected everything for me, including my window motors (the passenger side had quit a few days prior). My new muffler and exhaust system is perfect for a handicap van!! I cannot brag enough about this business! I had no ride home and was supplied with a ride from a true gentleman. I just wish I could remember his name, but I’m an old lady and can’t always remember names. He was a safe driver and very nice man to converse with. I will definitely take my vehicles here in the future. I am one satisfied customer and my repairs didn’t cost me an arm and a leg 😊 I will definitely recommend this business to all my friends.

I believe in being fair when giving reviews when I do them. I wish I would have look at their reviews before we chose to bring our car to them but they was recommended to us. The reviews are to help make a decision when choosing a business for service and I believe in having details before choosing so maybe this review will help someone before choosing to use them or not. So as far as pricing and getting the car fix they would get a 5 star but is that all that matters when it comes to choosing a place for service WELL not to me because I feel like there are many other places could have done the same thing maybe a little more money maybe not. The reason I gave them a 3 star is because the lady that we dealt with which she said she was the manager and part owner attitude is horrible!!!!! She could care less about customer service. She fixed the car without authorization, her words exactly was that she “assume” we wanted it fixed, when she was told to call and let us know what was exactly wrong with the car. Then when trying to explain the issue we had with her she yelled over us and didn’t care what we had to say, all she kept saying was we got your car in and got it fixed for lower than anywhere else. To some that would have been great BUT NOT TO ME! I do not like doing business with rude, inconsiderate people! There are more choices and she will learn that one day I hope. I promise to tell everyone I can about the service I received here because working in customer service for a long time I know that word of mouth is the best advertisement.

Too expensive bad customer service

Dropped off my vehicle as they said by 8 am filled out the form didnt hear anything until 11:30 when I decided to call them, they didnt know my car was there obviously they dont constantly check the drop box, had work done before but the original problem was not handled thats te reason I was bringing it back to them but nevertheless. I picked it up will not do business with them again!!!

I was referred here by my auto body repair man. What he told me, is the exact same service that I received. They don’t try to get over on you, they tell you exactly what you need and don’t need. How long you’ll be able to ride with the parts you already have. My oil change service to every bit of 15-20 minutes and I was out. Thank you for the good quality service and you all are highly recommended!

These guys are awesome! My exhaust has been giving me issues for the past couple of weeks, Poor fuel economy and performance. I heard good things about North Belt Automotive so decided to go let them check it out. They were able to correctly identify and correct the problem within an hour. For much cheaper than I was expecting. I will return in the future for any other mechanical needs.

Was referred by my mom been here a few times for oil change, but this time I requested to Greg to call me before checking it this time because of leak and other issues,picked up, was given estimates and the oil was changed, but still leaks..why change oil if leaks still not understanding..great personality, but I received bad business that particular day of July 3,2019. Confused dont know a whole lot about cars, but I know it doesnt make since to change a leak thats leaking. Please explain

Take all our cars to see Denny and Mandy oil changes very reasonable. We have had mechanical work done on an old truck . Very timely and efficient. Reasonably priced. Suggest stopping in.

Hello allMy name is Fran and I want to thank Dennis and the crew from North Belt Automotive Repair shop for being so very kind and generous to me, recently my car stopped running it needed a distributor and two other parts. Unfortunately because of the fact that I have an older model car the parts had to be rebuilt and they had to order the parts three different times. They were hard at work making sure that the parts worked, after two days my car was returned and to this day I have had no problem with the vehicle. To top it off Dennis also returned my tow fee so that I could make it back and forth to work that next week. No one has been that kind to me in a long time North Belt Auto rocks.Thank you

Awesome shop. My car was super loud after I hit something so I figured I was out at least a few hundred bucks to fix the exhaust. I brought it here one afternoon and they fixed the issue for $10. They could have easily over-charged me or told me I needed something I didnt. I was very impressed.

This automotive shop was great. I called at 3 pm on a Tuesday to get a quote to replace 2 wheels bearings as well as 2 tie rods, which takes about 6 hours of labor. They not only got me the best deal around, but had my truck done by 3:30 pm the next day. A+ work and very friendly.

I was considering bringing my vehicle here, but after seeing the reviews and the way the owner responds to these reviews in an argumentative way that does not take responsibility for how customers feel they have been treated, I will not be bringing any of our vehicles here. I hate when my car is acting up, but I love this place!! Id been going to a chain owned mechanic since I got here whenever something was wrong with my car. Being military and not knowing a lot about the area I just gravitated toward reputable businesses since they had a name for themselves. After being here nearly 9 years I realized how much Id been being over-charged when I had an insurance claim and compared the price of repair between the mechanic USAA recommended and the name brand. I had been charged double by the name brand place. North Belt is honest and will not overcharge you. They wont fix something thats not wrong just to charge you and get this: every time I left the other place they gave me an invoice estimate of other things that needed fixing. Save yourself the time and added expenses. Or call them for an estimate and compare that to what the big guys are charging. Ill never go anywhere else.

Only reason this place got 3 stars instead of 2 is because the woman mechanic has all been nice to me and treated me with respect unlike a certain older man, who Im guessing is the owner, decided to say Shouldnt buy cars if you cant fix them because I didnt have $1200 to fix my car that day.

Our family had over 5 cars at one time, been coming to Northbelt Automotive for over 12 Years, they have sent us home with our vehicle after checking for what we thought was a problem at no charge several times, other mechanics would have charged just for looking. I totally appreciate this! This business is the most honest and their reputation is following them, I will be traveling from Cuba, MO to get my vehicle worked on, if I can drive it that far because of the integrity of this family and business, there is no other shop I have ever trusted so much! They go above and beyond the ideas of Customer Service. They cant be beat-service or prices, best prices we ever found and we have sent several people to them, I highly recommend them for all your auto repairs and questions.

Im a one-time customer. I brought myCadillac Seville I just bought the day before to him because the change brake pad text was being displayed under the speedometer. I figured it was the brake pads. For a 1999 Cadillac Seville SLS, 4 disc brakes, he was only going to charge me $230 total for parts and labor. The place I called before him quoted me $230 for labor alone. I had my own oil and filter, he did the oil change for me and charged $10. He could have taken advantage of me because it turns out my brake pads were still in great condition, but my brake pad sensors had been intentionally disconnected, thus prompting the error. He charged me only to replace and install the new sensors and I left paying $151 instead of $230. He could have easily told me I need both and tried to pull a fast one, but he was honest. Thats more than I can say about Dobbs in the Target plaza in Shiloh. They will try to squeeze every penny out of you they can. Sorry for the rant. I trust this guy, he seemed very honest.

I chose this shop based on its reviews, which were all very positive. It ended up being the worst car repair experience of my life. My Subaru Legacy had been smoking due to an oil leak. I took it in to be repaired and they said they could take care of that, in addition to a few other preventative fixes for $1400, which seemed reasonable. I got my car back and it was still smoking and leaking oil. I took it back 4 more times, having to drive 35 mins each way. Each time she fixed something else and was sure it would work. After the 4th additional trip back to the shop, I was informed the whole engine would have to be replaced. I wasnt convinced so I took it the closest Subaru dealer and they knew exactly what the issue was after looking at the car for 10 mins! Evidently, the problem was a very common issue with Subaru vehicles. The engine did NOT have to be replaced, and in fact, that wouldnt have solved anything. The dealers tech also mentioned that North Belt had installed faulty/leaky parts and that I should be refunded for those. I had to pay $2000 for my car to be fixed at the dealer, but at least I know its fixed! I confronted Mandy regarding bad service and leaky parts. She refused to acknowledge that she had done anything wrong and went on about how much she hated working on my car. I did not receive a refund, which I believe I should have. Poor service, incompetency, and failure to take ownership of mistakes. Do not let them near your car! Especially if it is a Subaru, because they cant fix those no matter what they tell you!

I own a 2005 VW Jetta that has been a problem car since it 100k miles. The check engine light has been perpetually on since it hit that mark a year and a half ago. No matter what other auto shops tried, the light would go away for a couple weeks at a time and always come back on.I eventually just gave up on getting it fixed until it wouldnt start, even though the battery and alternator showed as fine.I had it towed to North Belt Automotive after they assured me they had a lot of experience in VW repair.They ended up replacing the fuel pump. When I picked my car up, I noticed that a vent was laying on the passenger side floor. I was running late for work across the river and chose to ignore that fact, as the check engine light was off for the first time in forever.A couple of days later, it lost power on the highway. That had never happened before. Sure enough, the check engine light came on again a couple of days later.Compounding the fact was that my car would start, but I couldnt get it out of gear. I again had it towed to North Belt Automotive, as they could also replace the vent.They flushed some stuff, and the car gets in gear since then.HOWEVER, when I picked up my car the second time, there were not 1, BUT 2 cigarette butts laying on the driver side floor.My car also still loses power when I get on the highway.I find it odd that this started happening only after they replaced the fuel pump.They do offer a 10% discount if you pay in cash, though, which is nice, but Im still in the same boat I was before, only with some added danger.

I took my vehicle in to get checked out because it was acting up. They looked it over and ran a diagnostic on it. They returned shortly and told me my vehicle wouldnt be worth fixing, unless I really loved my car. They also didnt charge me! I will always go to them for all of my car needs!
