I love this place cuz it has Rabo Encendido. They have good selection of food and sweet bread. Its a market but very clean. I highly recommend this place if your willing to try new food.

Sandwich Cubanos are the bomb food is good.

Very cool restaurant and market located in Bell. Came in for a Cuban sandwich. Ended up getting 2 other kind, some potato balls fried platanos. The staff was so friendly and definitely make me want to come again.

The food is good, slow service

This was my first experience of Cuban food and I loved it. The meat was tender. The spices are not overpowering. If you want a nice, Cuban, home-cooked meal, then this is the spot. Their grocery selection is great, too. Im gonna be sure to stop by El Nuevo Mundo every time Im in the L.A. area.

A little pricey but good

I’m surprised I haven’t been here before. The market/cafe is a nice little Cuban spot that sells groceries and Cuban food from bakery to lunch plates. The staff seems friendly but I do think they have to work on their customer service especially their lines. They get confused when it’s alot of customers and make people wait unnecessarily long (like me). I would suggest having one line for groceries and one line for hot food. I also didn’t see anyone enforcing the 6 ft rule.

The Cuban bread is to die for here. They have delicious Cuban food, Cuban coffee and Cuban cigars.

THE FOOD IS GOOD. BUT IS THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. THE WOMEN THAT ATTEND THERE IS GROTESQUE AND DONT HAVE ANY EDUCATION, NO TO MENTION THEY BOTH HAVE AN ATTITUDE LIKE I NEVER SEEN. I USE TO GO EVERY WEEK NOT ANYMORE. THERE IS TOO MANY PLACES THAT WILL REALLY APPRECIATE MY BUSINESS

Great place to get rare ingredients for authentic cuisine. Since Ive found this place, I found myself in several times a week to see if they have a certain ingredient. 9/10 they have it in some form for a great price, and nothing has been bad quality whatsoever.

Great coffee and some of the best bread you can buy. Ive met the baker a few times, David, hes a character. Remarkably talented. This is some of the most fresh and authentic food in town. I recommend.

El Nuevo is a very warm, family-friendly cafe with a lot to offer. There are several goods that I cannot find anywhere else in the area, including some of the best quality bread and pastries with very authentic styles. I would urge you to check this place out when youre in the area.

David is a great baker. I come down to this joint a few times a week and buy some goods for home, and love eating sit-down here on occasion. Awesome bread and coffee, nothing like it anywhere.

Best Macchiato in town, and literally cheaper than Starbucks. Ive had their pastries a few times and really enjoyed them as well. Definitely a cool place to stop in and hangout for a cup of coffee!

My dad goes here to buy the Cuban crackers.We bought 2 small cups of Cuban coffee n they charged my dad 1.40 for each coffee. It was like 3 ounces of coffee. Crackers are good tho.

I love their pan frances! It reminds me of the one I ate in El Salvador so its my go to place to buy bread. Also, their plátanos are very good, but their ropa vieja is amazing. I buy it anytime I pass by.

I absolutely love this little store. I used to go there after school when I was 12. Then we moved away....30 years later me & my daughter go on road trip from Santa Barbara to Bell to go there! Meat pies are still good, the Ropa Vieja is excellent. Homemade crackers, and plantain chips are great.

Every friday for lunch we go in and have coffee, food and buy a cuban cigar. This is a really cool place with a lot of culture that I would recommend seeing for yourself.

Im Cuban and Puerto Rican, I absolutely love thus place. I grew up in Hp and would go here with my grandma once a week (atleast). We moved away 13 yrs ago but my mom and I tey to come y once every month or 2. The bread is the bomb and so are the Masitas. I love that this place still exists especially around the holidays when I can go by treats that remind me of my childhood. 😍

The restaurant part is OK. Not a big deal. But the groceries part is a nightmare. This people have a terrible quality control problem. I dont understand how is it that the health department hasnt interviene in this store. They have all kinds of old expired expired items on the shelves, if not just about to expire. A lot of items dont even have expiration dates on them. Be very aware especially with the frozen items (croquetas, yuca, frozen fruit pulps.) That whole freezer is a mess.Most of the items on the shelves dont have the prices on them. And if there is a price, more than likely is the wrong price. Literally you dont know how much you are putting in your cart. Unless you get the poor worker there to scan an item at a time everytime you pick something of the shelves. She is very nice. I found this to be very unnerving because its shear laziness, if not flat out shadiness on the owners part.Most of the items are overpriced. I would say check other latino markets like Superior or Northgate. They have the Maltas, Matervas, e Ironbeers at much more economical prices.
