Ill stay by saying no one like having to deal with transmission issues. Especially if they end up costing thousands of dollars. Doug at brownies wad really easy tip work with and kept me informed every step of the way. Great service and great customer service.

I see alot of people post about high cost. Understanding that the inspection cost knocks off 641 on the total bill. Doug is amazing very explanatory and leaves no gray areas. Professional from first contact. Already happy and my car is still on a lift

Great service from the initial phone concerning the issue with my Pontiac G6. Once vehicle was towed to their shop, I was called and informed. I was given complete and honest info concerning repairs, cost and time-line. A car that sat for nearly 18 months was brought back to life. Transmission was shot when towed there, drove it home bout one week later. Informed me I needed a new battery prior to me driving away. I felt I got quality service, good craftsmanship and excellent communication concerning my vehicle.

I was recommended here by some friends from church to have work done on my transmission. I felt as if I was a burden on the staff for inquiring about their services. The guy asked me what symptoms my truck was having and the response was not even sure if thats up our alley. It was is if he didnt even want me to leave my truck. Its currently there but Im considering just picking it up and taking my losses. Uncomfortable

My other review looks to be gone. But ill just leave another one. Take your car or truck somewhere else. Dont was your money at this shop. I could of bought a new transmission for the price they charged me to put a torque converter in and snap ring in. Worst shop around....

The Beavercreek Brownies IT was able to work with us on the overall cost to repair the transmission in our vehicle which is 16 years old and has 192K miles. Initially, we were planning to either donate the vehicle to charity or sell the car as junk. Although old, the exterior is in good condition and the motor does not use or leak any oil. Brownies was able to work out a plan so that we could continue to use our old car. We are thankful that Brownies was willingness to work with us. We highly recommend Brownie’s IT for any transmission repairs.

I specifically chose this shop to take my truck to because they appeared to be the most professional looking of several other local trans shops. I took my truck here recently to have the trans fluid and filter replaced. Truck has 105,000 miles and fluid hasnt been changed since 50,000 miles, so it was due. They called that afternoon and said I shouldnt change the fluid because it was dirty and fresh fluid may cause issues. He recommended I continue to drive on the old fluid and old filter until the transmission quits working. ????I said I understand his recommendation and his reasons (although I disagreed with it), but I would really like to have the fluid and filter replaced anyway. He said no. I asked again to just change the fluid and filter, thats why I brought it there....he said they wouldnt do it. WHAT ?? What kind of transmission shop refuses to do a filter and fluid change? They didnt charge me for anything, but it was still a waste of over an hour of my day dropping of the truck and picking it back up that afternoon. I took the truck home and just did the job myself. Also, when I picked up my truck, they had it parked behind the building where no one can see it, and it was UNLOCKED !!I wasnt impressed with their operation to say the least.

Took my mustang in for transmission fluid change. Didn’t change the fluid because I had a leak. I appreciated the honesty because other shops tried to charge for things I knew wasn’t wrong. And they also charged me nothing to fill back up the fluid.

I bought a 1999 Ranger a couple months ago so I can keep my new Mustang out of the winter this year. I noticed it would shift funny sometimes, and generally lacked power where there should be some. I took it to Brownies to see if it needed a flush, and Doug recommended a teardown and inspection/ rebuild, something was pretty wrong with it. I studied up on transmissions a bit, and went with his advice, despite the cost. I couldnt be happier! The truck drives like its brand new, with 251k miles. They noticed when they were wrapping up the work that my heat shields were close to coming off, and fixed them without my asking, or charging. Last week, I noticed my pinion seal was leaking and planned on replacing it in the warm weather, but didnt get a chance. They put in the seal I bought, and topped off the differential with my gear oil, no charge. Brownies Beavercreek knows customer service, and they do excellent work! Go to Brownies Beavercreek if you have car trouble!

Very clean garage floor, they clean up and looks like they tend to work as clean as possible. We looked inside for a second to see how they work before we handed our car to be worked on, when we picked up our car, it didnt have any greasy fingerprints or smudges, I recommend them to handle any of your vehicles with great care. Their manager was very friendly and knowledge when called us back with damage report of transmission and couple other parts that needed to be replaced due to normal wear and tear, they call it preventive maintenance. Our kids will bring them their cars too when they grow up. Price was good for a transmission, costed less then dealers transition without labor time.

These guys are amazing, Doug and his crew are nothing but top notch.I was rebuilsing a 4l60e as part of a science project and these guys were nothing short of helpful. One Saturday I managed to mess up a teflon sealing ring and after visiting 5 dealers, I came to these guys on a whim that they might just have an extra. Turns out they did and let me walk away with it, I was able to finish rebuilding it that day!I was running low on time as I was selected to go on a deployment soon, so I needed someone who knew what they were doing put the new transmission in. Turns out I made the right call, because apparently my transfer case was on its last legs! They explained it to me over the phone, but were willing to keep the parts and explained it to me after (Im a visual learner and words are hard). Thanks for all your help and outstanding service Doug+Crew!

Almost( $450 they cut me a break from $500 and something corrected in post 08/02/18) for placing my vehicle on the rack taking out transmission without allowing them to repair it after I repeatedly asked a direct answer for approximate cost. ( Also what the manager stated about explaining cost was incorrect, if that was true I would have been more satisfied)

Transmission blew up a year and a half after I paid $2400 for a full rebuild. Right after I had the rebuild, the transmission was acting weird, shifting super hard and then going out of gear back and forth. Brought it back several times and they looked at it but couldnt figure it out. Mike at Bobs Auto Service, the shop next to Brownies, was the one who figured it out. Mike is a really cool guy. Then everything was good until a year and a half later when I lost all forward gears and then reverse. Since it was past the one year warranty, there was not much to be done. So the other day i got the transmission out, and noticed they had only put in 6 out of the 7 bellhousing bolts, which isnt a huge deal, but for a full rebuild you would expect all the bolts to be back in. The top of the bellhousing was cracked, so I will have to get that welded. I dont know for sure what caused that however, whether it was caused by myself or Brownies. All in all, I didnt have a wonderful experience at Brownies. This time I am not taking it there to be rebuilt.

My mother had her oil changed at a different location and noticed the car wasnt shifting into second gear. The oil change place said that they didnt do anything they were aware of to cause it to stop working. So she went to Brownies and they checked it out. They did a diagnostic check and found that a wire had been knocked loose so Brownies attached it and reset the check light. They didnt even charge her.
