Thanks to Banes in Beaver Dam I have had what is, quite possibly, one of the worst experiences with workmanship and craftsmanship of the thousands of businesses I have dealt with over the course of my life.When I bought my pick up truck new in 2013, I spent over $1000 on a truck cap and having it mounted. Banes auto mounted it improperly and it leaked – terribly.His solution was then to mount a plastic cap on my tailgate with a raised lip on it – something I had asked him about initially.That solve the problem – for a little bit. Then water started leaking in around the window and on the sides.The hardware on the Leer cap He sold me failed inside of 14 months.Leer blamed him, he blamed the Leer.The cap was back to him several times to be readjusted.His solution to the back leaking was to put a wad of silicone on the plastic That went on my tailgate – which lasted about four months before they just fell off. He clearly did a very poor job and the damage has been hidden for over a year since I moved.The top was mounted so far forward that it even wore off the plastic cap on my tailgate.When I spoke to the people at the dealership where it was taken off in Arizona, they let me know that, while they occasionally see some damage due to the, they RARELY see damage the severe unless the cap was mounted improperly.Instead of being honest and saying that there were difficulties with this truck topper being mounted to the new Ram system, he just took the money.
