I’ve been a long time Best Buy Elite customer. My gripe is with Geek Squad at this location. I made an appointment through apple to have my iPhone fixed at this location. I explained to the associate what the issue was, and they assured me that they would fix my phone granted they had the part (which they did). I gave them a number to reach me at once the phone was fixed. 3 hours went by of me walking around in circles trying to kill time. I went back to the store to ask the associate what the status was on my phone. He brought my phone back to me, and it was not fixed. They told me they couldn’t fix it — Granted I spent 3 hours waiting for them to do their job. They did not notify me that they couldn’t fix it. Im not sure what their plan was to be honest, but I would never schedule another service appointment with Geek Squad going forward. I tried calling to make a complaint and I can’t even do that. If you want unprofessional service, and your time wasted then this is the place for you. Also, I bought a replacement phone the same day. Had to pay off the remaining balance on my broken phone, and start a new plan with the new phone. I was told by the salesperson that Verizon would waive the upgrade fee. After getting a hold of Verizon, they told me they wouldn’t do that. Again, another lie I was told to by an associate. Please manage your associates better and have them pass on to the customer the CORRECT information.

Went into the location really excited to purchase a tablet for myself an I had some questions regarding the tablet I was interested in. A group of employees were in a group by the register speaking to one another as if they were having a meeting so I waited patiently for about 15 minutes to be exact until I went over to the employees an asked for assistance at which point it almost seemed as if I was disturbing them. I asked the employee my questions in regards to a certain tablet which he couldnt give me the answers to an referred me to Google afterwards I wasnt really feeling up to purchasing the tablet so I went to purchase another item I needed I went up to the register an the person at the register was on his phone on a social media app right in front of me as I was waiting to purchase the item he didnt even bother to acknowledge me as I was standing directly in front of him I was incredibly disappointed at this location I just left the item on the desk an walked out of the store I will definitely not be returning to this location.

So they have a decent inventory, but the good ends there. After wondering for a few min unable to find a wifi router I walked to the counter at the computer dept and asked. They directed me and pointed at the sign up high that I hadnt noticed. I found my router and went to checkout. I kid you not I was 2nd in line for 12 min. I actually timed it. The one cashier was talking with the first customer the entire time plugging things in and showing the customer how/that they work etc. There was a building frustration from the increasing line of people behind me. The entire time, salesmen kept coming up and escorting priority customers to the register ahead of everyone waiting. Eventually I was graced with the privilege to pay for the item I came to purchase when a second cashier arrived. While Im checking out the 1st cashier finished with his sale and began complaining to 2nd cashier how his legs hurt and he was tired....... This is a disappointing decline from the best buy of days past, and an unacceptable presentation/representation of the brand....

Kind of a long wait for help but once Joe/Joseph helped me, everything was great. He went above and beyond to make sure I got the Samsung tablet that I needed as well as a cool purple case 😊 He made the wait worthwhile and Im glad he was there to help me!! Excellent service from Chris who just helped me with getting a car stereo for my jeep. He knew what radio I was looking for and double checked with the installer on what parts were needed. He was very kind and worked efficiently. I was in and out in an hour! I got all my parts today and will have the radio mailed to me by Tuesday!! Store was clean too. Thanks Chris!!!

Bought open box dishwasher. It was loaded on to the truck fully wrapped. When we unwrapped the dishwasher at home, we found that it was badly dented in the front, was already connected and used by someone and returned with all the hoses connected with water in them. We promptly returned it. Giving one star, because the store took it back without any hassles.

Got my Canon Selphy CP1300. Easy to install parts and set up, came with practice paper but I also bought the 108 postcard-sized paper and color ink pack pictured. I didn’t realize for the printer to be actually portable you have to buy a battery pack that goes into the back of the printer and it doesn’t come in the box I found out it’s an extra part that’s about $40-$60 so that was a disappointment. Besides that, the pictures’ printed fast, they looked good for what the printer is and the price I paid. I don’t think I would’ve expected better overall pleased with my experience.

DO NOT purchase any apple products in this Best Buy branch. My husband and I purchase AirPods Pro July 12 and even purchase apple care for it. My husband had to go back today because he didn’t feel right with it. So he came back here today to exchanged it only for the Best Buy to shrug us off and tell us that we have a counterfeit AirPods… No one helped me or my husband. We have wasted $300.00 I am so livid that no help at this at all. they only told is to call Apple and that’s it.Update: July 17.My husband and I went to Apple Store and got out AirPods checked to our dismay the box has the serial number but the AirPods isn’t. They had confirmed that it is counterfeited. I am so mad that this item that we bought and purchased at this Best Buy branch is counterfeited we wasted money here and I am very disappointed that we got shrug off and the Manager that we spoke too didn’t even helped at all. We opened up a case number on our Best Buy card and we got our police report. My husband has been a Best Buy credit card holder for almost 20 years!!! for them to not believe us is outrageous even outrageously for them not to help us at all!!Spin off: Apple store had confirmed to us that the AirPod serial number on our box has been bought prior and returned. Extremely (bad) experience: I went into store to (PURCHASE ITEMS) a mini refrigerator/air conditioner/washing machine & dryer/blender & cell phone (BUT) when I went to customer service & asked for help NO ONE WOULD HELP. The store is spacious and well-organized allowing easy access to viewing, comparing, and purchasing products. The Best Buy here in Bay Shore is popular. One of the reasons is the retailer is frequently up to date on their wide assortment of items.Additionally, the welcoming staff are willing to help, they offer repair services and help people load large electronic items into their autos. Unfortunately, I did experienced some coldness from one BB employee. After I clearly initiated friendliness. However, the person is representative of all staff.

My experience with the Geek Squad in the Bay Shore Best Buy was not good. The lack of communication on their end regarding certain details caused part of my order to get canceled for tv mounting services. I gave three stars because they did issue a $60 credit and the contractors that came out did a good job. I will not go back to the Bay Shore store nor would I recommend anyone go to that store.

Very impressed with the quick response to both the order being ready and it being brought quickly to the car. The place was very busy, so I anticipated waiting. Glad I didnt have to. I do not visit best buy often. But I needed a network switch and it was close. I went in to the computer area, but no network items there. Turns out they have a whole area dedicated to network and IoT devices. I thought this was great and went to that area of the store. Tons of IoT devices which I was pleased to see. But no switches? Staff showed me a tiny little area where the switches belong. He did check the computer to see if there was stock in the back and also checked other stores to let me know what is available and locations. I ended up at a home depot in the next area of stores which had a surprisingly good array of networking products.

They opened the package and determined all the pieces were there - but since this was a High End product ... and they were not a Magnolia Store so they couldnt the it back. So we packed it up again!

Best buy is one of the last remaining of those big box ( Crazy Eddie, The Wiz,CompUSA) stores that started as a computer heavy store and now sells a lot of electronics. To me they are simply the best right now. You can find vaccine cleaners to dishwashers and dryers, printers computers, Flat screen TVs to Cell phones they have it all.

Great deals, a lot of things in stocks. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. I definitely recommend going to the store, even in a Covid environment, they have taken the steps necessary to keep patrons and staff safe. Even if you want to shop on line and have you item delivered, its great to go put your eyes on the merchandise, ask questions and make you decisions. You can still go home and order you stuff. This way you made a fully informed decision.

Purchased a 65 Sony TV. Open box. Was waiting for them to box it and put it out or get a price so I could purchase it. Waited well over a week. I left two notes to call me with two different associates. I finally push and was told manager sold it without checking with anyone. Then the backup TV open box 65 that I saw the night before at 6 was still up at 11 the following morning was now also mysteriously sold. They found me a Sony 65 open box at the Bay Shore branch. On the same day. The associate was very helpful and apologetic. My feelings are that some people there are holding units for their friends or themselves. Which is BS. They need to have an honest system for the open box sales. I lost a day of work and wasted time running down there to check on the TVs.

The worest customer service. I went to purchase one phone and they made me wait whole one and half hour, the first salesperson told me that they have the device in stock. While we were waiting in line, the second salesperson nemed Geoferry confirmed that they have the device in stock. After hour and a half wait time we reached at the register, the manager who was helping the previous customer, went away to bring the phone from the backroom and he never came back, instead he sent Mr, Geoferry to tell us that ths phone is out of stock.

Went to get a new car radio and remote start installed. Dude kept nickel and diming the cost up. After waiting for 45 minutes for them to Text my phone that it was my time to speak to a rep, the rep started a conversation with a different customer and made me wait an additional 10 minutes for someone that did not sign up for an appointment. After that was all said and done the associate asked if I wanted them to install to which I reminded them thats the first thing I stated. He then let me know the closest install date was almost three months out, but they can still sell me all the equipment and gear so I can self install.Dude, Id you led the qualifying questions with the install time frame I most likely wouldnt of been irritated, but to tell me the timeframe in the end AND THEN try to sell me the product to self install myself. That I have issue with. Dont drag me for near 90 minutes get me excited for an install date to apologise and tell me its near 3 months out but you would be happy to sell me everything so I CAN install it.
