The prices on some items can seem a little high, but Im sure they are a steal compared to the new price of Carter brand clothes. I bought my sun several pairs of shorts each for $2 or less. An ideal place to keep your child not only clothed but clothed in cute outfits without spending a bunch of money.

Went into the store on Friday to sell some things, Was told they werent accepting buys until Monday. Went in on Monday morning first thing and was told there was a 6 hr. plus backlog of other peoples things to go through. How is that possible if they werent taking buys all weekend?I had also taken some things in last month and had to wait most of the day for them to go through those things. What takes so long for them to go through things. Not good experiences!!!

Unfortunately this last time we came in to buy our little one some summer clothes we got a cashier that rudely asked us if we were buying a whole new wardrobe and how many kids we had. We arent mean people so I dont understand why she was being rude and nasty.

I don’t live here, we are in town for a funeral and there isn’t kid consignment stores where I live. I called before we left town asking if they took the size clothes I wanted to bring and looked at their website, they said no bags - only totes or boxes. Attached a picture of what I brought - A TOTE that zips closed and stacks just fine. They said not acceptable and told me to go look in the back of the store for a box. Not happening. Found a young mom in the parking lot and blessed her with this full tote of NICE name brand clothes in 2T for free. So store missed out on those as well as I had planned to buy all my kids winter wear here since again, I don’t live near one. Their bad. Be more flexible when I did not bring grocery bags, I brought a TOTE.

I absolutely love this store!!! Its always clean and the staff are always very friendly. They make you feel like they want you there instead of like youre just another number. Today was one of their sales... I bought a very large amount got in my car to leave and went back in instead, at those prices I couldnt resist. I highly recommend this store to everyone. Garage sale prices might be slightly lower but all sizes, and colors are organized and the customer service is unbeatable. I even tried to tip them, and offered to by them lunch because they are all just that great!

Love these owners! They just are missing donations for like 5-8 for pants... so it makes it hard sometimes. It is awesome to get the pants that fit him good though. It beats diving all over town.. no more Kmart or Sears and (this Sears didnt carry clothes for our toddler son anyway).However, the staff is super friendly!I am glad the got karts. They are very helpful... especially when crowded and a kid disappears. They go on lockdown until the child is found, even if found confused and scared hiding under a rack. I am so happy these owners are the owners of this one!💯💗💗💗💗💗💗💗

Great place to pick up toys for a young infant since they will outgrow them fast. And you can trade them in for other toys or clothes. Great idea!

Went in to drop off some clothes off and two employees were wearing their masks on their chin. They were not telling any customers to wear masks either.

Staff is very rude and unprofessional they talk about their customers while they are still in the store, I’ve never experienced a more unprofessional work place the boss had no issue with the cashier talking badly about their customers they have no self control on the language they are using towards customers and over all have very bad attitudes and a completely judgemental

Always friendly. This is a great place to go for second hand clothing. Price is Right. I buy the winter gear here for my 2 year old. No point in buying new when he wont fit it next year.

They barely take anything. They will say something is outdated when it was bought new a month prior. I have heard this complaint from many people. The staff is friendly, which is a plus. One thing I do really like is their used kids books. Good price!

The store looks great! The new owners have definitely change do things up and the store look s amazing. I have gone a few times since new ownership and today was my best experience with the staff. They were friendly and helpful, the last few times not so much.I will say though, it was frustrating I called ahead of time and asked about a specific toy, explaining I hadn’t no accessories and I was told that was fine abs long as there’s was playability they would take it. They didn’t, because it wasn’t missing accessories. 😑 So that was annoying, things should be purchased based on corporate/owner rules not personal preference.I’m not sure why people say prices are different, they aren’t. It’s a corporate run system and it’s worth your time to take a peek. The store is a lot better organized and easier to shop. Things are mostly where they should be and even toys and shoes are looking good!

I will stick with the longer trip to the location in Jackson that I’ve been loyal to for 4 years. It’s been decades since I’ve had such a truly ghetto experience. The store was a mess and smelled like take out food and basement. The girls behind the counter sat cross-legged on the floor, gossiping in the most unprofessional and low class way. All of my stuff was in good repair and basically brand new, but they didn’t take 95% and gave me the worst price for my top dollar items. I’m disgusted. I’ll never return and tell everyone to steer clear and go to Jackson for a much bigger selection, better prices and service, where things are properly organized.

I had originally gave this location 1 star, but after the great customer service and low prices, I am changing it to 5! The new owners seem to always be at this location and show great dedication to keeping this place alive and I respect that. This location is the best place in town for all your child clothing (and used toy) needs.

I like how cheap their clothes are and how they have a huge selection. However I dont like the clutter. There aisles are so narrow u can barely fit your cart down it. And how the racks are set up i can only shop the middle two because Im so short I cant reach the top and the bottom one is so low to the floor u pretty much have to sit on the floor. What did make me upset is that I got a travel pack and play for $40 brand new which was nice looked clean. Got it home and put my daughter in it and she kept sneezing. Took her out and took the swing part out where she sleeps only to find it COVERED in freaking cat hair! And there is a side pocket and it had a roku remote in it. Obviously they didnt look through it good enough. But after my husband vacuumed it out my daughter was fine but still not the point. I will shop there once in awhile if my daughter is in desperate need of clothes but I dont like always going there because of the drive and how claustrophobic I feel.

This place has gone from unprofessional and rude to downright creepy. After trying to sell a number of new, never-used items that my daughter had been gifted but we never used, along with a handful of larger items that were gently used, I was turned away. The staff told me that this was their “busy season,“ and that they weren’t interested in even looking at my items. When I asked when “Busy season“ would end, they told me to come back sometime next spring.I called to follow up later in the day to try and clarify how, when, and if I could sell items, and was told I needed to speak to the owner. He was unhelpful at best, and only made me more confused and frustrated (at one point suggesting I put every item in its own individual tote, later in the conversation telling me to come hang out at the store and chat with his staff to “keep them entertained” until he randomly stopped by and could personally evaluate my items). I asked repeatedly for clarification about how and when I could sell items to them, and what items were acceptable, and he became increasingly rude and uncooperative, and wouldn’t give me any straight answers to my questions. He also told me he offers coupons and discounts to customers in trade for positive google reviews, and he doesn’t allow any Facebook reviews, so “go ahead and complain, no one will care.”After I politely ended the pointless conversation, (here’s where it gets creepy) he called me back again less than 90 seconds later, even though I hadn’t given him a number or indicated that I wanted to call back, just to tell me that he had “verified with his staff” that I had lied about my encounter in his store, and that *all* of my goods were “junk, with non-working parts.” He then continued to call me back with changing stories, each time citing the “cameras” he checked, trying (I guess) to find a lie that would convince me that I’m wrong. I’m not sure why he continues to contact me, but I’ve never been harassed with repeated follow-up calls from a business wanting to argue with me, and his obsession with this is scary.It’s not worth my time to ever come back here again, I’ll drive a little bit further to use a Once Upon a Child that actually cares about their customers and isn’t so overwhelmed with items that they won’t even open totes before dismissing the contents as “junk.” Hopefully the stalker-ish behavior stops soon.

I like this place due to prices but dont like that they charge so much for used baby toys and that they dont take certain items. Then the items they do take they nearly give you any money for. My 3 month old daughter couldnt wear these shoes that were brand new and they gave me maybe $0.50 and someone bought them for $15 talk about a rip off I should of kept them and let my 7 year old use them for a plastic doll

I’ve been going to once upon a child since I was pregnant with my first son.. The store was constantly unorganized and always a mess. you couldn’t even walk down some of the isle ways. you could barely shop because the racks were so jam packed they were unahoppable. the past couple of times I have went In there while the new owners have been there, it’s looked amazing!! SO organized. It’s no longer cluttered. It done a huge turn around, you guys should be very proud of yourselves! I know I enjoy going to once upon a child a lot more now :)

They sold me a stroller that was full of pet hair and dirty. I commented on the condition and said does this smell like smoke? The sales associate sniffed it and said no I dont smell a thing. I was given 10%off. I bought it because I am an idiot. Once it was loaded in my car and sat in the heat for a bit all I can smell is cat pee and cigarettes. They never should have bought it, let alone sold it.The staff is rude, arrogant and unhelpful most of the time.They lack in stock when it comes to gear and have so much clothing its like a rummage sale.Do yourself a favor. Shop on FB and garage sales before wasting time and money on this place.

The items they sell vrs the items they take when selling your clothes is ridiculous. Too much to do get more bang for your buck and less hassle to sell online. Plus they charge too much and have way to much stuff in the store, but have good sales sometimes.

Very disappointed in my trip to this store today. Spent my morning cleaning and sorting toys to bring in to donate only to be turned away because my tote didnt have a lid. One of my items was a guitar, cant exactly put a lid on a tote with a big guitar sticking up out of it. I was told to go buy boxes from the dollar store next door but why would I want to spend money on boxes I dont need. I understand the whole dont want to mix stuff up but if I, the customer, was Ok with taking that chance then it should of been my choice. Will not be returning.

I Absolutely love this store. I went the first time before my granddaughter was born and bought a stroller for half the price I would have spent buying new. I have bought my grandbaby so many cute outfits. They grow out of things so quickly this definitely saves me a lot of money. They have had everything I have needed for her from toys,a bouncy seat down to swaddlers. If you are looking for any new clothes or shoes or sport clothes for your kids I would definitely recommend you go there 1st! Everyone is very friendly and helpful. I wish they wouldve had a store like this when my kids were little. Its my go to place when I want to spoil my granddaughter without feeling too guilty 😉

Not a bad spot for discount, used childrens clothes, toys, baby supplies, etc. Watch for the sales- can get some really nice items for next to nothing.

Today I visited the Battle Creek Once upon a child I took in 2 tubs of very clean freshly laundered, check once and once again for any stains or tears found nothing. Freshly folded childrens clothing. After driving 35 miles and going thru all the process of how you wait and they take what they want and it is priced by their corporate offices, you have basically no say here. After an hour I was sent a text and returned to the store promptly. I was told they took what they wanted and I was Quote a give price do i want to sell to them ? I said yes.! They said here is the rest of your stuff unfolded and thrown in the tub.S. They said, everything was cute but out dated and Stained! They took approx. 1 tub of my clothes. I left came home went through each piece of clothing and found not on Stain!!!!! Baby onesies do not go out of style or bathing suits, and nike sweatshirts. Sorry .They did this to one other person as i stood there waiting my turn . .. now to be fare I look around as i was in the market for a few childrens dresses in the correct sizes. SORRY My clothing was in much better condition than what was on their racks. I m sorry that they think i was the fool. Maybe another City can judge everyone.The rest of my gear will go to a consignment shop or will be given away. sorry you are loosing business.

Staff does not seem to know what they are doing. They lost the stuff that I went to sell... told me that somebody had already picked my stuff up when I could see my tote that i had brought in sitting right there on the floor in front of me. They have great prices on there stuff but it seems that the only way that they keep prices low are screwing over thier suppliers. Will never go back again!

I Have been SO impressed with the experiences ive had the last couple months since the new Owners have taken over !!!! In the past i thought it was a clutter mess and not very good customer service and i stopped going in...i decided to stop in this past october to sell a few things, i was SO surprised how friendly and helpful they were,they helped me unload and load my items NO PROBLEM! I noticed All the clutter has went down and SO much easier to look through everything. Not to mention with how fast my babies grow having the great prices for name brand clothes and brand new like toys, and baby gear it REALLY IS A GREAT PLACE TO SHOP!! I have brought things in to sell AND i notices they WERE a lot more picky than the past years and truthfully i appreciate that so when i decide to shop i get to choose only from VERY new barely used things....instead of them buying everything people bring in and then im looking through stained, faded, dirty kids stuff! I WANT TO specifically Say thank YOU to the owners and staff at the battle creek location for ALWAYS being so helpful amd and friendly. Would Recommend this store to Anyone! 👌👌💯💯

Of all the OUAC stores I have visited - in several states across the east and Midwest, the Battle Creek store outshines them all.What shines brightest is the service. Ive never found a more friendly, helpful staff anywhere.And I believe Battle Creek runs the most sales - reflecting their willingness to buy more from moms.The only reason I wouldnt rate it a 5/5 is that as a typical OUAC, the store is tight and crowded making it a little harder to spread out and browse. But, if you snatch lots of bargains from the racks, take them up front to a clear counter space and sort your favorites. The gals there have always been kind enough to return what I didnt select to the rack.Keep up the good work, B.C.!A highly satisfied Grandma.

I live 30+ minutes away so I called to ask if I could sell brand new shoes in the box but the top was gone. They told me yeah bring them in.
