They draw out your cabinet plans for you patiently and show you 3D images of what your cabinets will look like on your wall precisely. Andrea is excellent at her job! Her customer service skills and knowledge is amazing. We appreciate all her help!

Ive bought windows, doors, floors, and molding from here. Its always a great experience. Im not sure what the negative reviews are about. The crew is top notch and are always nice and helpful. Summer and Andrea have helped me on numerous occasions. As well as Devonte. Jeremy is by far their best employee. That guy doesnt stop until you are fully taken care of. Ask for him if you need help he knows his stuff. Hes just plain awesome. The only downside to this place is their inventory doesnt last long and popular items are usually out of stock. It can also take a long time to check out and get loaded but I know this is because of the volume of people that shop there as well as them being understaffed. All of them guys work hard. People giving negative reviews aint got a clue what other places are like and how great it is to come to a place where people know what theyre talking about and have the best prices in all of South LA. Ive been doing this for 20 years and Surplus is the best place to go.

A friend of mines suggested that I check out this store because we’re working on my moms house. I was so glad when I did. The moment we walked in we were greeted by Devontae the Assistant Manager. Everyone else seemed busy I guess. I’m not use to Assistant managers actually working with customers individually. He was so friendly and extremely helpful. I had no idea he was the assistant manager until I saw his tag. I thought my mother was annoying him with all her silly questions but he reassured me that she wasn’t and continued helping her. He helped my mother with her entire quote. While we have not purchased anything we will be back. The price for what we’re looking for is too good not to come back. This is where I will be shopping from here on out.

Been coming here since the flood. They dont always have what I want but are always helpful. They get things as they are sent not always what they need. This is a corporate thing not a site thing. They have great prices and great products.

I was just going in to look and Brandon was VERY helpful, he knew his stuff and gave me informational pamphlets to take home to make sure I found exactly what I wanted. He was very professional in his recommendations and knew how to answer any questions I had. Highly recommend this place!

A good bargain store for building supplies but a little limited.

On several occasions Ive went there and we couldnt get any help on the floor. The customer service is non existent and the so call cashiers are very rude.

I have purchased tile flooring, windows, doors, and guess where Im going for ceiling product, thats right Surplus Warehouse. Before I wrote this I read the other reviews because I wanted to find out why people were giving such low ratings. Well after reading them I have come to the conclusion that these people are have very high expectations coming from DIYers. Do your homework, dont expect someone else to build and create your project. If you know what you want it makes everyone elses experience much more pleasurable. Particularly when you know what you want and have to wait 10 minutes on the person in front of you soliciting free carpenter/contracting advice from the staff. Watch a YouTube for crying out loud. Do your homework!!!
