This place is absolutely wonderful! Great authentic food! So delicious

First time here, and I absolutely loved it! In my opinion, the food, environment, and service was lovely and good! The waiter was a bit soft spoken though but she got everything we needed.

Ive been twice. The first time with just my husband. The service was slow, but the food was very good. Went again a few days ago with my husband and some friends. Again, the food was great! The service was much faster this time. We will definitely be back. Happy to have a restaurant like this in our neighborhood!

Never Again! I used to frequent this place BUT today was my LAST. Ordered food from Waitr but apparently they can’t read or understand English when you need to make adjustments WHICH is fine, BUT to be rude about it is another thing. Fat, Spanish guy was so rude about getting my order corrected. Alicia’s is better; don’t waste your time or money here!!

Really good food. A little expensive, but tasty. A heads up for anyone wanting to go: Almost everything is in Spanish so its advisable you bring someone with at least basic Spanish knowledge.

My first time in La Frontera, I tried the tacos because I been craving tacos since I got here to Baton Rouge 2 weeks ago and they didnt disappoint. I had carne asada, pastor and tripas, definitely the tripas are numero 1, and second the carne asada, still have to try the rest of the menu. Definitely coming back to this place.P.S. Also has a store attached right next to it!

My husband and I typically love this place. We ordered food from them tonight, and were super excited. I ordered from waitr, and got a call from 5he restaurant telling me that they were out of the melon agua fresca (large) I ordered. I answered the phone in English, they asked if I was Brianna, I said yes, all of a sudden the man on the phone is speaking very very quickly in Spanish, and I apologized saying Im sorry I dont speak Spanish and the man was immediately annoyed with me. He informed me they were out, and asked if Id like the tamarind or cucumber lemonade agua fresca instead. I asked if I could just get a coke, as I dont like those two options, fully willing to take the loss in price difference. He asked me again if I wanted the other agua frescas instead. I explained again that I really dont like the other options can I please just get a coke instead, and the man sighed and just hung up on me abruptly. Didnt say anything just ended the conversation. When my waitr driver is at the restaurant she calls me and tells me the man said they were out of the melon agua fresca, and I told her exactly what I told him, thinking okay she can probably explain better in person, assuming maybe theres just a language barrier that was hard to resolve over the phone. When she gets to my apartment with the food, I was given a tamarind agua fresca. She apologized and said she tried. Then when we opened our food we were given the limes we ALWAYS get which made my husbands meal much less satisfying than usual. I ordered a barbacoa quesadilla and there was almost nothing but fat in place of the meat. It was inedible. Im extremely disappointed.

We wanted to try a different Mexican joint so we ordered from this place. Never again. The food was incredibly bland and the burrito was nothing short to a Taco Bell one. Half the tortilla was folded inside the burrito so they wouldnt have to fill it up with extra cheap and flavorless bits of carne asada, canned refried beans and cheese product. Extremely unsatisfied with the size and quality (if any) of this food. If you want to pay six bucks for a burrito that is worse than a Taco Bell one, then its on you.

Hands down one of the best places to come for Mexican food.

Terrible customer service. Not friendly at all. I would never return to this place. Why should I give you my money if you dont respect me enough to say hello and answer my questions?

Average at best. Had 4 tacos. Al pastor, asada, shrimp, and carnitas. Carnitas and asada were extremely fatty, as if they didnt trim the meat. Shrimp were cheap and small, very little flavor. My favorite - al pastor - stole the show for this meal, but was still mediocre, at best. Their salsa given with the tacos was definitely five stars, however.Will possibly give this place a shot again, but will not be eating the tacos. Everything was lacking flavor, which was very surprising being this was an authentic Mexican grocery. Typically they have the best meat there is.Also, just to note, only one lady spoke English. Which I do not find a bad aspect as it typically means even better food! Just wanted to warn any native English speakers what they are getting into.

I do not recomend this place. I was told my plate of food came with rice and NO rice the meat was too salty .. the only good thing was the slice of tomato

Terrible experience The tables chairs and salt shakers sticky and dirty. And the food took a long time to arrive. The waitresses super slow.Two words: I DO NOT RETURN !!
