This is one of the worst companies when it comes to scheduling an appointment for repairs when dealing with a warranty repair. They’re not one for keeping time scheduled. They have no problem lying about showing up for appointments that they’ve missed. This has been one of the worst experiences ever. They don’t like you to question why they didn’t show up. During our phone call, I was still talking to the gentleman on the phone, he just hung up on the call. I could understand if it was an accident but I don’t think it was because I never received a call back from them. To sum this up, my repair was never done. Rude and Very Bad Customer Service.

If I could zero stars I would. I had an appointment scheduled through Home Depot. Appointment window was 8-12. They never showed up. When I called to check on an updated time I was told they changed my appointment day and time. When I started to ask why I wasn’t informed, the man became extremely rude and yelled at me. He stated that it was MY problem that I didn’t know THEY rescheduled me and they do not leave voicemails if no one answers when they call. I never had a missed call or anything. After I asked if they could give me an uptakes time for tomorrow I was told they would not deal with me and I need to find a new repair person.

I dont usually leave reviews but this one deserved one and then some. I contacted Sherwood TV & Appliances today because they called to say a serviceman was on the way to my home. This would not be a problem if they had previously informed me. I voiced my concerns to the person who answered and he asked if I wanted to speak to the owner and I agreed and yall this man (Ronnie) was so unprofessional. Mr. Ronnie not only argued back and forth after I voiced my concerns, he said that he was not going to service me and that he would send my information back to my warranty company. I had been waiting for weeks to get my washer repaired. This is so unprofessional on so many levels. This conversation went so bad in so little time, All I can say is do not do business with them. If you do, you will be here writing a review.

Needed Whirlpool Dryer fixed. Insurance denied claim. WE said we’d pay outta pocket. THEY said parts would be in within a week. THEY sent someone out but I was asleep on heavy pain meds d/t fall (I’m 63). THEY rescheduled for 9 days later. NEVER got a call as to time we were scheduled for. Day repair was to be done I called them. Got JERKED AROUND till 2pm at which time they said they were “Just NOT GONNA DO THE JOB.” THEY said “Thank you very much” and hung up.

Always great! The owners and staff always work hard and have great customer service! They repaired my 65 inch TV and saved me so much because I didnt have to replace it!Ill be back for a new TV when this one is gone for good!❤❤

Their ads are false. They do not install. You have to pay a contractor. I bought a dishwasher. It worked about 3 weeks. after multiple calls we finally got a service man to come. That was about 2 weeks ago. He had to order parts. Ive made I several; calls since then and still dont know when he will be back.

LG 55 inch smart TV; TV was turning off by itself and the channels was going berserk by itself. They repaired my TV from Sept. 2020 to March 2021 due to a part they were waiting on. I picked up television on 3/12/2021 it worked great for 1 week then the problems started again.

This review is for my senior citizen mother, Sylvia Bie, who ordered a brand new washer and dryer from this establishment. My mother paid cash for both. She inquired about a cash discount but was told no—no problem. She proceeded with the purchase. When the washer and dryer were delivered, only the dryer was in a box. My mom went to the truck and asked the delivery men about the washer not being in the box. They did not have an answer. She assumed she was given the floor model, and made a note to call after the items were set up. When the washer was put in the dolly, water poured out from the pipes. Mom was livid, because water from pipes mean that it wasn’t a floor model that this company sold as “brand new”, but this was a used or returned washer. She called and spoke with both Robert and Ryan, and explained to them about the water. They claimed that they “test” their brand new washers in the store by running them prior to being delivered. Complete nonsense! They have taken advantage of a senior citizen passing off a used washer for a brand new one. This is absolutely disgraceful.

They sold me a great clothes-washer less expensive than the big box stores with a 5 year parts and labor warranty included. They have come out for repairs for dryer. They are always professional, timely and affordable. Looking forward to working with them again. Local company with great customer service

The first time I went, after hearing good things from my neighborhood Next-door, they were super friendly and threw in the hoses for the washer for no extra charge. I really thought they should have done this, but they were also just a little lower on cost than my usual good place of business. A month later, I needed a dryer, so I went back. I reminded them Id just recently been there to buy the washer. This time there was no free extra on anything. Everything was full price, and they even tried to charge me to rotate the dryer door opening, once it was delivered, and I discovered it was opening the wrong way. I called the owner and had to leave a message that I did NOT want to pay the $30 charge to rotate the door. It had only taken the men 5-10 minutes to do this. The owner did not call me back and did not charge me the extra $30. Im really not sure how Id rate them now. I purchased two appliances, within two months, neither were discounted, but I had a bad taste in my mouth with the second purchase. I bought from the same owner both times. The store is owned by several brothers. What gives?

This establishment Advised my husband that they would fix our LG washer once the parts got in. It has been six weeks. They were scheduled to complete service at my home on last Tuesday, but the technician was a NO SHOW --got a stomach bug. So they gave a tenative service date of today @10am, BUT there was no confirmation from the technician. When my husband called to confirm, the Owner told him that there was no way that they would do 10:00 and the time would be b/w 12-3pm instead. We advised the time wouldnt work and he elluded that Corona virus was the reason for bad service. Then got an attitude when my husband challenged him. So he just took his issues out on my husband and called him expletives out of his name and canceled the service with no refund. Talk about a low-rate business with sad ethics and management. My advice is to go to a more reputable retailer. You may spend a few extra dollars but it would be worth it. These guys are clearly going through some issues and lack the professionalism to ride this wave. So long to good ole local service pros.!!!!

Absolutely HORRIBLE. Ronnie, the manager, is unprofessional, the servicemen do not know what they’re doing. We have been lied to for six weeks and yelled at. We were told lies multiple times for a month and a half, and our dishwasher never got fixed. When my husband tried to explain to Ronnie all of the things that we were lied to about, and how the serviceman didn’t even check to see if the part he installed worked (it didn’t, it only got worse), Ronnie yelled at us over the phone and told us he wasn’t going to send anyone else out to fix the problem, and that he wasn’t helping us anymore...after we have waited around for six weeks. I ended up having to hang up while he was still yelling on the phone. The ONLY reason we got stuck having to use them was because our dishwasher was under warranty, and that’s who GE sent. I wouldn’t recommend this company to ANYONE. Absolutely the worst.

This is the only company that had what I needed ASAP, took my payment over the phone while I was working, and I sent someone right over to pickup my appliance. Professional and hassle free! I called for repair of my 4-yr-old LG refrigerator because it stopped making ice, freezer items were melting, and water was leaking from the bottom. Took 4 days for someone to actually come here. I told the tech, Shawn, what was going on and that I was pretty sure the water was due to a clogged drain line, but no idea what was causing the melting. He unclogged the drain, said it would start making ice again once it got to 32°, and left. After 3 days, no ice and freezer never reached 32° so I called again. He came back, bumped the freezer temp up to -1° (I have always kept it at -4° with no problems), said the temp was too low & that was causing the defrosting system to freeze up and melt, and left. Still not fixed. I called back that evening and again today and never got a call. Garbage service!

I have read their many reveiws and some are good. However, these may be on Appliances they sell. My experience has not been good on three Home warranty claims. They take a very long time to finish a repair at least in my opinion. A movable appliance should be repaired in a two week window or less or the service provider should report to the Home Warranty Company that the appliance can t be repaired and that the Home Warranty company should replace it. If you have old appliances they will try to find parts for a long time causing you a lot of inconvenience and maybe expense instead just saying that it cant be repaired.

I brought a TV in for repair and when called with the repair cost I found it to be a bit expensive. I told the gentleman that called I would pick it up and did not want it repaired. The COVID-19 pandemic started and most businesses shut down. I assumed they were closed as well. But we are still under a stay at home and I tried to go pick the tv up early morning to avoid heavy traffic and being around a bunch of people. So I arrived about 8:15am the hours are 9-4 as posted on the door. The door also stated no customers allowed inside so I called to see if someone would answer. The gentlemen did and he said he would bring it out. At this point I waited and he came out to say he didn’t see it and to verify my name. The gentlemen who answered the phone is the same gentlemen that call me as I remember he said he was the owner. But another gentlemen came out and said we don’t keep TVs that long after the repair estimate is not accepted. We’ll I explained when I got the call I was unable to come pick up, because I thought first they we closed and second everyone was obeying the orders of our Governor and Mayor President. To finish this story, he got really ugly with me and stares he runs his business how he see’s fit. I told him I manage a business and I treated my customers like this we would be out of business. He raised his voice again and saw a Baton Rouge police sitting in the parking lot next door so instead of raising mine I went to give my story to the officer. He said that I should get me tv based on the conversation and I went back and waited. Still waiting and now the guy comes out and says the guy who does the repairs is not in til noon and I should come back... wow ok. We’ll see, but I read the prior reviews and didn’t listen.

Unreliable, Poor Customer Service.Twice Ive had to call for a repair on a stove and now my fridge. 1st time guy came out, looked at my oven and said okay we will order the part . 6 weeks later - no contact and no parts. This time, guy is in my house for 3 minutes and tells me he cant fix my fridge infact the Guy said Im not spending an hour steaming out your fridge. So called them about when the parts would come in, they were vague and uncertain just like the first time with my oven. Dont use them!!

I did not know they had TV repair people anymore. The big box stores told me my TV would not be worth fixing. These guys were professional. Gave free estimate to see if my 60” plasma TV was worth fixing after a lighting strike. Had my estimate within a few days and fixed a day later. Priced very fair. Offered a 90 day warranty. Would highly recommend. Glad I found them.

The absolute WORST appliance REPAIR service we have ever experienced!!!! We had to deal w/ this DISREPUTABLE business due to our service plan on a KitchenAid dishwasher. The service tech came out multiple times & NEVER repaired the problem. He would supposedly diagnose the problem, order the part, delay returning for WEEKS, then reappear w/ the part in a box, open the box @ our home & declare it to be the wrong part!!! Sound FRAUDULENT to u?! A&E Factory Service repaired it & stated that an incorrect part had been installed by Sherwood.

It only took three months to get my television from broken to repaired. Sherwood constantly called me 10 minutes before they close to setup an appointment. Ive called them in the morning the follow day only to be told that I would receive a call back (which was again right before they close). So getting anything scheduled was a royal pain.Then we get to the part of fixing a television. Yes, from start to finish it took this company three months to diagnose and repair my television. I dont know how they are doing things at this store; when I do a repair on a computer, I go through a process to verify that it is in working condition before I ever give it back to a customer.Then to sweeten the whole ordeal on my, thankfully, final call with this company, while being on hold for eight minutes, I am told that my television has been fixed but they are waiting for a good date to deliver it to me. If you do business with Sherwood then expect to be put last. Expect to do all followup calls. Expect an ear full of excuses as to why they repeatedly fail to do their job.

Stay far far far away from this place. Customer service at its absolute worst. There is a reason they have so many terrible reviews and I have seen exactly why. I never write reviews unless a company angers me this much. But this place is an absolute disgrace. Completely disrespectful and unreliable. They have set up multiple appointments. The first was a no-call no-show. So when I called they said they will call me during the week with an appointment. I received no call. Since I had already paid my money for a warranty I tried to still work things out so instead I had to call them back to schedule an appointment. When I talked to the owner to schedule the appointment that they missed he laughed at me and said are you kidding when I told him I was unable to make the appointment he suggested because I had to work that particular day. So rude. They missed the appointment initially...not me. The conversation went on from there with excuse after excuse and more disrespect. I have never dealt with anyone like him before.Save yourself the frustration and feeling of being used and disrespected. And STAY FAR AWAY from this sorry excuse of a business.

We were supposed to have one of our appliances fixed last Friday. They called Thursday and said they wouldnt be able to fix it until next Tuesday due to yhe flooding in Baton Rouge and people needing help. Fine. Fast forward to Tuesday, Sept 6. Our appointment day. Did anyone show up? NO. Did anyone bother to call us to say were on our way or we have a schedule issue? NO. Awful customer service. Weve been without a dryer for a week. Dont tell people youll be at their place on a certain day then dont even bother to show up or call. They may be great when it comes to sales but their repair services leave the world to be desired. I bought appliances from HHGregg with extended warranties. When they bankrupted, Sherwood TV was contracted to take over their warranty services. I just finished up my 4th warranty repair with them and all I can say is if your manufacturer says that this is who is coming to repair your appliance, beg for someone else. They do not communicate unless you call. My first repair was on my washer. They didn’t want to drive all the way to St. James to fix it until they had “enough” calls out that way to make it worth it. They refused to listen to my husband who a mechanic about what the problem was and ordered parts without ever seeing it. They were wrong. My husband was right. They ordered the correct repair parts finally, except they ordered for a different machine than what I had. I was without my WASHER for 6 weeks with a family of 9, with a machine that was still under manufacturer warranty. With my 2nd repair, I was told that my part would be in in 3 days. Nearly 2 weeks later, I called and the part was in but they never bothered to call to set up a time to repair my machine. My machine was out of commission for nearly a month that time. Now, my dishwasher needs a repair and it’s been down for nearly a month. The repair guy came out to diagnose it 10 days after I started the claim and I never heard anything again. I called today and was told that the warranty company never contacted them to say if they were going to cover the repair. No one at Sherwood tv thought to check back in after 2 weeks for an answer until I called them. Now that I called, they called the warranty company and had an answer within an hour. Sad but I’m grateful they said they won’t fix it so I can call my home warranty company. At least I’ll have my machine either fixed or replaced quickly. My dishwasher has been broken for nearly a month with a family of 11. The only positive I will give them is that their repair guy is very nice and fast. He needs to find a better company to work for though.

You cant beat Sherwoods business model. They simply do whatever you ask. Robert Ruffino himself helped install my first integrated tv music etc system. Recently they repaired a Viking freezer that mystified all the Viking recommended shops (including a representative from Florida the state) .

I contacted the company directly as I could not get the technician to call me back. I spoke with the owner who was the rudest businessman (if you want to call him that!) that I have ever had the displeasure to deal with. Never in my life have I been spoken to so crudely and rudely. This was a Home Depot warranty call and you can be sure I got on the phone and told Home Depot warranty service all about my terrible experience. I own 4 rentals in Covington and 8 rentals in New Orleans plus properties in St. James Parish and I will NEVER use this business again. If they treat customers like this, I cant imagine what kind of work they do. I have scheduled my warranty work with another company. BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!

I asked them to come out and fix my TV back in December had to take the TV down from entertainment center because you could not fix it four feet high... because lighting hit it and it would not come on so they finally show back up on January 23 2019 after having to call them he replaces part gets tv to come on and its a cracked screen but the TV wasnt cracked in the beginning or it would have came on he takes his parts back out and tells me my kid probably busted it wich where the crack was he could not have done while it was sitting on entertainment center but the point is if they would have came back and done their job when they was suppose to it would not have happened so now Im out of a 400$ 50 smart TV I will never do anything threw these people again and I have lots of tv and appliances in my house my business will be brought somewhere elseDANAKA Johnson

They were called by my warranty company to repair ice maker. First it took them a few weeks to come out then They were in and out in 10 minutes. They said the part would take 3-5 days to come in so after 3 weeks and several calls that I had to leave messages they still didnt call me back. I went to the office and asked when they were going to come back out. They said they would come out the next day but it ended up being 4 days later. The guy fixed the problem and went on his way. 2 days later the ice maker started leaking again. Luckily my warranty company sent me to a different company this time to fix it right. Stay away from them if you want prompt service.

Took a month just to get my fridge fixed and there was a lack of concern. There also was a grave lack of communication. During the process I called about 8 times only to be answered twice and both of those times I was told that the manager over the repair techs would call back but never did. All other calls went to voicemail and the two times I went to the shop no one was busy. The worst repair Ive ever been through.

Vizio smart tv colors malfunctioned outside of 1 year warranty, and Vizio refused to repair saying buying new was cheaper. Sherwood was able to repair at a third of the cost of buying new. Top notch friendly service.

Brought my samsung tv there for repair awhile back. they fixed it, but when i turned it on, it was tuned to a cable news channel i DEFINITELY dont watch and the volume was turned up FULL BLAST. i can only imagine that they didnt like the news channels i had favorited or my political bumper stickers??? so weird and unprofessional.

Horrible company to do business with. Brought wrong part then got a part out of truck that was not in a box and installed it. This was on a drinking water line dont know if it was a used part or even if it was clean. Technician was rude. Good luck if you ever leave a message for them to return a call. Service Manager will not call you back.

Called because my washer was under warranty and they sent someone out and said they would order the part and it would be in in 3 to 5 business days well that was a lie I have been calling everyday since leaving message after message and no one calls you back. I called the warranty place to let them know what was going on and they said they sent the part the next day after they requested it and should have gotten it. After the warranty company called them they finally called me back and said it was because we were not living in our house because of the flood which was not true. They did finally come out after they said they would call before they came and they did not and my washer is still not fixed because they did not have all the parts. My advice is to never do business with this company. I also called my warranty place and told them to remove them from there list.
