My fiancé bought a fur hat for me as a Christmas present. He saved the receipt incase it did not fit me. Unfortunately, it is too small for me so we went to return/exchange the hat. When we approached the front counter with the hat and stated that we would like to refund/exchange the hat two ladies standing next to the counter SHOUTED THEY CAME IN HERE YESTERDAY TRYING TO RETURN THAT which really surprised us as we had NOT been there the prior day. We immediately felt uncomfortable and out of place, they were treating us as though we were trying to scam them with a $50 dollar hat. We told them that we had not been in the prior day and that the hat was too small. They explained that they dont normally do returns, but would offer me an exchange for any item in the store. As I was browsing the store, the woman approached me again and stated that ACTUALLY she could only give me an exchange for the exact booth that the hat was purchased. Unfortunately this booth had very few items, all very expensive and none to my liking. I decided to keep the hat, I can hang it in my closet as a decoration.My takeaway from this experience: Rich people must not return things? How can you exist as a store and not have a return policy? When I face returns/complaints within my own business I always ask myself is a bad review/bad customer experience worth x amount of dollars and normally it isnt. Anyone in customer service knows that the customer is always right. Maybe I wasnt an important customer. I will never, ever return to this store. I have never felt so belittled or made to feel like a thief/scam artist.As I was walking out of the store after telling them I would be keeping the hat, THEY SUGGESTED THAT I RESELL THE HAT. LOL. THE STORE. SUGGESTED. I. RESELL. IT.

Fabulous collection of local art, handcrafted items and home decor. I was able to find a local artist to commission the perfect piece for our home through the helpful people at the desk. One of my favorite places to wander through for unique pieces and ideas.

This place is amazing! I had passed by and never gone in many times, but today I decided to do some Christmas shopping there after visiting Tuesday Morning next door. I found The Foyer to be magical! If you have not been, you are missing out. Very unique items, artfully and beautifully displayed, it is now my favorite shop in Baton Rouge. To all husbands: if you buy your wife ANYTHING from this shop, she will absolutely love it.

While the lady at the entrance greeted me, others did not, but they did greet other white patrons. Clearly, this business does have a weird vibe including strange employees/artists sitting inside of displays typing on their laptop.
