Classical guitarists check this place out! I found rEvolve to have the best selection of classical guitars of any shop I’ve been to. The owner, Geoff, was very helpful, answering all my questions on each guitar I tried out. You can tell he knows his stuff. Although I had pretty much made up my mind before going in there, I didn’t feel pressured to buy anything. I ended up settling on a used Hofner HM88 master series guitar, which Geoff personally owned. Overall great experience, highly recommend!
One of the best local guitar shops Ive been to. I called to ask about getting a 5 string bass and spoke with Zack who later both demonstrated his skill and knowledge of what I was looking for. Next time Im in town Ill definitely go back.
Geoff is such a pleasure to talk with and he is very knowledgeable. My husband has many items from there. Even though it is a longer drive for us we would rather come here than other places for the same items.
Skip the big box stores and shop here because this is a fantastic music shop! We have shopped here in the past and purchased sound equipment for a school and a sound system for our church. The service here is impeccable! They are so helpful and committed to helping you get whatever you need and at reasonable prices. All I needed a guitar tuner, and they were happy to assist with this simple purchase (and didn’t try to steer me to the more expensive ones!) Also, it’s amazing the amount and variety of merchandise they have for sale in this store.
I like to support local businesses, and rEvolve always gives superior customer service unlike the big box stores.
Stellar service... if you got gear to sell or trade in this is your guy.. thanks geof for all your help😄
The best music store around, period. I’ve been a customer for several years and the prices, selection and service are amazing. Geoff and his staff are the kind of people you don’t run into very often in music stores; courteous, knowledgeable and never condescending. Wish I could give them six stars!
Geof runs the best music store in the entire Memphis/Shelby county area. The absolute best customer service and prices, period.
Super helpful folks getting stuff for my kids guitar class at school.
Best guitar store in the bartlett area hands down. Very good products and the best customer service Ive ever experienced. They also fix guitars as well. Dont go to guitar center. Go here. 5 stars.
Great selection of music equipment. Great service
This store is awesome. Reasonable repair rates. Knowledgeable staff. Im not going anywhere else.
Theres no pressure everyones very knowledgeable and helpful if they dont have what your looking for they can and will get it for you. Love this place
Guy was super nice very helpful and knowledgeable about the products bought an electric guitar and case great prices will be going back for sure.
Top notch guitar shop. Recommended to me by my nephew who makes his living playing guitar. Musicians, not high pressure salespeople.I went to rEvolve to try out some bass guitars and amplifiers. I thought about it for two weeks and called to purchase it and an Eden amp. They remembered me, financed and shipped to me. Absolutely no problems. Great place to shop.
I am so thankful that we have this music store in our community. I highly recommend this place!
A small, local shop with great prices and knowledgeable staff. Dont let the size of the store fool you, they have a ton of inventory. I purchased my first banjo from this store and the owner (Geoff) was super friendly and made sure the instrument was working in its entirety before handing it over. He even threw in some thumb and finger picks to go with it as well. I cant recommend this place enough.
Geoff was very friendly he helped my dad find a nice bass guitar
Great place for everything guitar and other musical instruments... lessons etc. Very knowledgeable and friendly..
I didnt go in...just went by it to another shop in the same area...
Never been treated poorly. Theyre always helpful when I stop by for anything. They do fantastic work on guitars; The only place I take my guitars for setups or repairs. 10/10 would recommend.
I purchased a guitar from Geoff, and when we encountered a few speed bumps, he went above and beyond to rectify the situation while communicating openly every step of the way. Regrettably, this is a rare thing in the world of musical instruments & retail in general; I would not hesitate for a second to work with Geoff / reVolve in the future.
Best people in Memphis to buy from. I started supporting local businesses more and Im glad I found these people.
I’m gonna take you on a little journey. Come along with me if you will.I walked into the shop for the first time today, with high hopes after seeing the great reviews and having touched base on Facebook. I came in with my cheap acoustic guitar to have it checked out and adjusted, so I got in line right away.I overheard some cool conversation between a bassist and the gentleman behind the counter. The bassist had come looking for a particular brand of strings that apparently was sold out, so they proceeded to talk about a variety of other strings and the tone/quality/feel of each set. There was no rush to churn customers in and out, no upselling, etc. Just dedicated one on one customer service to get this man a set of strings that would best satisfy him. After settling on a set of strings that the gentleman suggested, the bassist paid, thanked the employees and was on his way. I was up.The gentleman—I didn’t catch his name—saw I had brought my guitar, and attentively came around the counter to greet me and take a look at what I had brought in. He was courteous and candid, immediately letting me know the cost of the bridgework required to properly repair my guitar was economically unreasonable—it would cost more then the guitar was worth. But he took the time anyway to carefully explain the procedure of fixing it, in case I thought it was worth DIYing it. He also took the guitar into the back to adjust and straighten the neck. When I brought it in it was bowed—which had been the main cause of the bridge separation—and the action was very high making chords really difficult, especially for a newbie like me. When he brought my guitar back out, about 2 minutes later, the neck was straight, the action was massively improved, and my previously ashy fretboard was now glistening in a Shea butter type glow. All of this, might I add, at no cost—zero dinero.Next, I asked if they carried any little Martin guitars. He told me they didn’t, since they weren’t as high quality as some of the other brands they stock, but they did have a nice assortment of other similar-sized guitars at a range of prices. He recommended the Breedlove brand and showed me the models they carried. Very nice guitars that are still fresh in my mind. But I wasn’t ready to make the necessary investment to upgrade my guitar at this point, and think I still have my heart set on a Martin.Long story short, this is a great music shop. You should definitely come.
Love the guys there with great customer service. Nice guitars ukulele and banjos for good deals and prices
The gentleman who helped me was very informative and pleasant. They have a pretty good selection for the size of the store with still plenty of room to move around. The only negative thing I can say is they didnt have exactly what I was looking for. But they definitely had plenty of alternatives. I was just too worried about trying something new.Great little shop if youre trying yo get your groove back during quarantine.
Geoff described the Cordoab 55cfe as in excellent condition when I called from out of state. Upon receiving the instrument, just 5 business days later, I can happily report its condition as mint. Would definitely do business with rEvolve again - Richard D
Very nice people. I had a lot of questions and they took their time and answered everything.
Great store and excellent set up on my basses. Highly recommended
Best ever!
Best guitar shop around! They know when I come in Im probably buying a cheap guitar, but they dont treat treat me any different than somebody buying a high end guitar. Geoff should write a book about how to treat your customers.
Awesome shop and staff! They have great prices and the people are really down to earth. For someone like me who is a novice guitarist, I really appreciate that they take the time to explain things respectfully. Best music shop I have ever visited, hands down!
Diverse selection of guitars and gear, and Geoff and staff are great - friendly, customer oriented, knowledgeable. Ill be back for sure.
Although they didnt have the item I was looking for... I always enjoy this store. Friendly staff and a great selection of music related items.
Always helpful and professional
Great service in fair prices
Didnt get his name but the man helped me fing the right keys for my guitar and even looked for some washers for part of the product I was fixing. They dont even carry washers. Lol Thanks.
Excellent place for all your musical instrument needs. Friendly staff, they will listen to you and and very helpful. Some great prices too. More than worth checking out.
This place is great!!! Geoff and Zack are very knowledgeable and helpful. I don’t feel like just a customer when I’m there. They know my name and there is never any pressure to buy. I highly recommend!!!
I have been to Revolve many times and they are the best bunch of folks that have helped me along the way. I have bought many axes and amps with them as well as repairs to guitars. Love them and much respect to the shop for all they do!
Infinitely better experience than Guitar Center. Got great advice and was surprised by how reasonable their prices were. Was also impressed by their selection of used equipment and the fact they consistently update their stock on the web page. This is definitely a store I will be visiting regularly!
If you remember what music stores used to be like back in the good old days, this is the place. No attitudes, no guessing, great service and extremely fair pricing. The best music store in the city as far as Im concerned.
I’ve been to rEVolve several times now & I have never been let down. Their prices are excellent, they have great inventory, & if you trade in, you’ll get a fair offer on your equipment. I will definitely continue to do business here!
Great service! Great brands! Great experience! If you got questions or just need some advice in your instrument jeff at revolve is The guy youll want to talk to! He really knows his stuff!
Took my Takemine in for fret leveling work which cost $80.00. Got it back, was good for less than a month. After further inspection I notice that some fret were not even crowned but were flat causing worse sting buzz. So now I need a fret replacement. I guess I should have had that done in the first place. So now Im having it done for 350.00, but this time by a guitar builder, smarter move.
Very knowledgeable about products. Great prices on new and used gear. Very friendly and helpful staff. Would recommend to any friends.
I highly recommend this shop above and beyond all others. Ive been buying there for years and will never go anywhere else. The owner is Geoff and he is very knowledgeable. I really sense that he enjoys helping and has the best advice. I have never had this kind of experience in other shops. He even helped us find and purchase a guitar through another dealer because he did not have it. When I bought my bass amp, I walked away knowing every thing about it. I could keep going.... Please shop Revolve, so I can continue to have this sort of experience.
This place is fantastic! Great prices and a ton of guitars!
Bought from them through eBay, but called the shop directly about shipping and they were super helpful. My bass was shipped immediately and I received it 3 days earlier than expected, in perfect condition. Would highly recommend
This place was amazing!! I went there to check the place out after I heard about it online last night on Black Friday. Apparently, this was a place Ive never seen before... this was a miracle. There are a ton of BEAUTIFUL guitars in this store!! I tried out a ton, but there was a beautiful black Ibanez I saw. I fell in love with it immediately. Another thing, the store owner was very nice and can help you out with anything. This store has a lot of guitars for a small space!! 😊😅 The Ibanez I was talking about was lovely, so I bought it that day. I honestly didnt expect to get anything, I just wanted to check the place out.
Very helpful and very knowledgeable about guitars
Great music store. It is just like the ones I grew up going to in the 80s. Nice, small and locally owned. Good prices and great customer service.
Great place, nice people who know their music!
Great deals and friendly, helpful staff and owner.
The guys there are awesome. Definitely recommend them for all your musical needs.
Great location, service, and inventory. Amazing repair service that is priced extremely well. They they have always charged me less or exactly as quoted. Very knowledgeable staff that is very personal without being pushy or overly salesmen to the customers. Supportive of local school guitar program and overall an outstanding business.
The whole staff are true professionals that treat their customers with respect. They give their customers their full attention and are extremely patient. I cant say that Ive had that experience at most of the other music stores in the area. The guys also do fantastic work on instruments! I look forward to buying from them in the future!
Geoff and Zach are always top notch! Service is unsurpassed. Gear selection covers a wide and varying range. Quality used gear. Its the perfect music store for the person just starting out to the seasoned professional.
Love this place. Very knowledgeable people
Customer service is second to none. Great selection of guitars and accessories for a store of this size. Would recommend to anyone in the Memphis area.
Small store with a respectable selection of new and used guitars. Really nice people with whom to deal. 👍
Yes I have been there more than once. Geoff the owner is truly amazing in caring and honest person. The pricing is above board, competitive and always fair
My husband loves this store and will drive past other music stores to go to Revolve. He trusts the owner to give fair deals and expert opinions. They have also done a great job with fixing every issue weve had.
I bought my PRS S2 from them online. It was a very smooth transaction plus a lot of extras. Great communication and service!
Awesome service awesome employees
I came in looking for a accoustic but found my Gretsch. My dream. I was so excited and everyone was so happy to help me. Great place..great staff.
Super friendly, helpful. Great prices - nice inventory and clean store.
This place is great. Im really new to guitars, but these guys got me set up with an excellent deal and are very helpful. They offer lessons which I am considering after I get some of the basics out of the way through independent study. They have great deals on used equipment and the place has a great atmosphere. The employees and owner seem like genuine people.
Revolve is a great music shop. Ive purchased guitars and basses from them and the prices are competitive with (and sometimes better) than the big stores and the service is so much better. The owner Geoff is a very cool guy. He also gives very fair values on trades unlike some other local stores. I highly recommend Revolve.
Great place to come in and feel welcome, and find everything your looking for as a musician!
My high school classmate (senior citizens) and I have been trading with rEvolve for about five years now. We have made multiple purchases here and have been well treated in every respect. I recommend that you give Geoff a chance before you buy anywhere else.
Small guitar store but reasonable prices and knowledgeable people
Never going to guitar center again. Need I say more? Great staff, great merchandise.
Great local guitar and music shop. Very friendly and helpful staff. Got a great deal on a speaker cabinet and guitar stand. Shop local for great deals.
Super Helpful and Expert staff. Two of my teenage kids have taken lessons here, guitar and Ukelele. They came so far so fast too! I love that they arent music snobs, that is, they make me feel safe to ask questions without me feeling silly. They are quick to repair or replace parts when needed, and they are just THE choice for music. I am always really impressed at ReVolve.
Great store staff very friendly and will answer any questions
The best place in town, period. Geoff and Zach are very knowledgeable and professional. Unlike Guitar Center, you wont be asked every 5 minutes if you need help, and Geoff will not low ball your trade in. Also, youll get top dollar if you want to sell your instrument. I give 5 stars because there is only 5 stars. And the guy that gave 1 star, well, consider the source. Theres always at least one idiot in a group, no matter how big or small.
This is the best guitar shop in the area. They offer fair trade-in value on musical equipment. Their prices on their used equipment is very fair. The staff was incredibly helpful and very friendly. I have recommended this place to people I know.As far as this review from this Zach Liberto guy.... Seriously? What a moron.
Awesome local business. Great people willing to help with whatever you need. Feels small enough to be treated well, but plenty big enough to be able to provide for any need
They have worked on many of my guitars and Ive always been satisfied. The staff are friendly and helpful. Their instruments and gear are high quality.
Great selection of new and used gear priced to sell! You never know what you might find in this place! The owner is local and gives back to the community consistently. Great business plan built on the idea to trade up & often...really helps those of us who have G.A.S. (Gear Acquisition Syndrome)! If you play BASS, ask for Zack Riddick and have him demo a rig...itll put a smile on your face.
Awesome shop. Ive traded and upgraded four or five guitars in the past 3 years at revolve. Ive always left feeling good about the deal. My money will continue to go to this shop.
Anyone who doesnt like this place should do a bit of soul searching. If you play the drums, why are you playing the clarinet. Why would you agree to pay for a reed for an instrument that you do not play. Sounds like you were being a douch. I love this store. I have bought three guitars two amps and a plethora of pedals from this fine establishment. The place is small and personable. If you dont see what you want in store the owner will get it for you. Got a trade (decent gear) watch and see how much better Revolve is in comparison to the other guys. I go there weekly.
This is my go-to guitar resource. The staff is personable and professional. I buy a guitar every year and this is my preferred shop. Praying they get bigger and better to continue blessing more musicians.
Excellent shop!! Nice variety of gear. Great people. Highly recommend!!
Best music store in Memphis! Great prices, selection and service.
Geoff and Zack are very knowledgeable, professional and friendly! We are lifetime members here now. Also, Tim is a wonderful guitar instructor!
Great shop! Lots to choose from, staff is very helpful and knowledge... highly recommend you make the choice to shop at this locally owned and operated shop- you wont be sorry!
My go-to shop for anything guitar related!
Counter person was very helpful and knowledgeable. Decent prices and good inventory.
Theres no competition with these guys. Absolutely phenomenal. Knowledgeable service, SUPER friendly people, wide range of products and awesome prices. If you havent checked them out, what are you waiting for!! Thanks guys!!
The people who work here are awesome knowledgeable friendly prices are the best I have seen its a great place for all your music needs if they dont have it they know where to get or they can get it for you GREAT job guys
This place is amazing. Lots of great guitars and the owner is fantastic.
I walked in with my gf to buy her first guitar. while perusing the guitars, I asked to see the percussion instruments as I am a drummer and a guitarist. This store is small, so the percussion and woodwinds are on adjacent walls. Not familiar with the instruments, I picked up a fancy clarinet and proceeded to try and make sound with it, I was blowing on the mouth guard. The manager came up to me and told me that I needed a reed if I wanted to play it and that they were only 3.50$. So he wanted me to buy a reed. He told me about how I have to wet a reed, but told me to put the whole thing in my mouth. After I did that, he came back and tried to help me insert it on the mouthpiece. All the while he complained about my spit getting on him/the clarinet from the reed he just had me slobber on. I then tried to make a sound. I clearly failed and he said, Youre not gonna figure this out today. I then asked, Then why did you just make me buy this reed? He got aggravated and then yelled, FINE. Im not going to make you buy the reed. You guys are a waste of time. So we left. Didnt buy a thing and didnt pay for the reed. Rudest person ive ever dealt with. Never going back and hope the place goes out of business. Its a joke. And Steven. Shut up loser.
Awesome place to do business with, respectful to there customers, have great deals on there equipment etc. I would rather do business with them than anywhere else
