Go with another oil company. Period.Conti was amazing on our first interaction. Friendly, prompt and professional. As time went on, they started to care less and less about me as a customer. I called for service and they said they couldn’t do it because of the system (which they serviced and said was fine a year before). After having to switch from one system to another I asked them to do a different service which they agreed to. They never showed up (caused me to take a day off for nothing) then said it was never scheduled. Called to schedule it a second time and they never got back. Called a third time and they had to talk to the boss, but never called back. Called this last time and they are now unable to do it. Needless to say I am no longer a customer of Conti and reccomend you find a company that cares about you as the customer.
Let me be clear that I assume most fuel dealers are like this as they have nearly zero economic incentive to provide great customer service. When we moved into our house, it was serviced by Conti. We liked that they were a very local company... The first time we called, the owner came to our house! So, we stuck with them and didnt shop around or anything. Our first winter in the house we ran out of fuel 3-4 times. Each time we called days ahead of time to tell them that we were dangerously low on fuel. You are on the schedule, they assured us, yet they wouldnt show up until 2AM when we were out of fuel and the house was dangerously cold.Since then, their customer service has continued to be lackluster. They frequently fail to show up when they say the will, and they never call back... regardless of how much they promise. They replaced our oil tank in the fall of 2017. I put that in quotes because they left the old tank, and regardless of how many times weve called and scheduled its removal (part of the fee we paid), it remains in our basement. We scheduled a furnace servicing in October. After it was rescheduled and bothering them multiple times to get it rescheduled, it is now on the books for January.... so well see, but we feel a bit like Charlie Brown with the football at this point.
I’ve used Conti for years now. We typically pre-buy and are on a delivery schedule. I’ve never had a problem with billing - and now it’s all online so I can easily keep track of deliveries and payments made. The few times we’ve been close to empty I’ve called and they’ve always filled it when they said they would. They always service our furnace and make any repairs needed.
About 16 ago they were great. Lately their whole presence is just been a pain in the butt for me. So I went to pay a bill... And I received a receipt for my payment. The next month I got a bill for money due that was more than the previous month oil not included. They by mistake (so they say) deducted 2 payments from my amount due, saying afterwards I only made 1 payment. Thats why the bill amount increased. For the amount they said I didnt pay. cant prove that I did or didnt. So Next l agreed to increase my monthly budget payment to catch up next pain in the butt, I got a notice that I must settle amount due by July 1 even though I am making montly payments.I had some furnace work dune on one of the coldest days of the winter they came to my house changed me a hundred dollars an hour. Yes weekend rates that but thats not what really erks me, they changed 517 dollars for a part that only cost 275 thier cost. I went to fw web to check prices thats what I found out. I can understand a little mark up that the bueness way. But this mark up is extreme. Last week I went to talk to Mark conti to figure some things out... And he blew me off refusing to talk to me, a loyal customer of over 17 years.. so in conclusion I would suggest finding a better oil company when looking for somebody to fill your needs and tank!
Charging way more than quoted for parts and services. Double charging for deliveries. No thanks.
Been doing service with them for the past 4 years. This last fill up, they charged my card without adjusting their records, then tried to reprocess the charge again 18 days latter. 2 months go by and they send me the same bill. Even with proper documentation, they say the bill is outstanding. Carefully using this company, sounds like they have some serious issues to resolve. I wish I would only get an answer why they didnt contact me right away and not 2 months late. Very poor service.
The customer service at Conti Oil leaves much to be desired. They do not communicate effectively and often mess up taking payments. I had hoped to set up an online payment account so I could circumvent this problem (i.e. talking to someone there) but unfortunately, there is something wrong in the system and only Kevin can help me. Waiting for Kevin.. to call me back. sigh.
Great local company. These guys are community driven and they are always there for their customers.
Great food and great service
They keep me warm
Been using them in fuel an service for 17 years, they have treated me really well. Fixing my heating system at 2:00 am in the morning when it was -15 degrees!
