Good shop, we appreciated the bathrooms and water bottle fill station. However, the prices felt very high in the store for very small items... its possible theyre handmade by locals, but we didnt see any information talking about the artists.
Yesterday my 3 year old was denied entry for not having a mask. Both employees were adamant the rule was 2+ must be masked. When I pointed out the CDC’s recommendation was 5+ I was told that Maine’s rule was 2+ and always had been, when it fact Maine is following CDC guidelines at 5+. Highly irritated I was denied entry on a fake rule, please educate your park employees.
Would have liked to spend my money here but they require a uniform to shop here.
Inviting gift shop, but oddly small and limited considering the location.
Went late, right before close. The lady working there was incredibly friendly and helpful. Giving tips of what to see and pointing us towards all the items we were searching for. Very nice shop with reasonable prices.
Crowded with over-priced souvenirs. That pretty well sums up this place and the other gift shops in Acadia. The park service took the contract away from a Maine company a few years ago and awarded it to a bunch from away, far away. And as the buying public, we have been rewarded with lots of drivel at prices high enough to buy three or four if your go into town. Want a $30 tee shirt? This is the place!
Small, busy gift shop serving visitors to Acadia National Park, Maine. Located atop Cadillac Mountain, next to the restrooms. All of the usual offerings: simple clothing, magnets, key chains, etc.
Why would a mountain have a gift shop at its top, you ask? Well, when you take in account that you can drive to literally the tip top of this Mountain for a hike on a paved, ADA accessible path, that is visited by so many people that during sunshine and sunset the road up top becomes a parking lot, it starts to make sense. This is one of the most visited spots in Acadia (ok maybe not the gift shop, but the top of the mountain), so a gift shop makes sense. Also the surprisingly clean restrooms, food, bad mountain coffee and food are very very welcome whether youre driving like most people, or hiking any of the four paths up hill.We hiked up on a sunny, crowded day, and then on a foggy, rainy, empty day to see the contrast, and I love that rain or shine the gift shop is open. Kudos for the people that run that place. Please stop, buy something and be nice to them.
This gift shop has something for everyone! Prices are a little high but were supporting the National Parks! It is worth the trip and the cost!
A great summer hike, 3.6 mile in and out. Terrain was moderate, we went on July 4th, and should have known to get a head start with tourist traffic in towns. Bar Harbor was having an abnormal heat alert. it was 90 degrees with 80% humidity. This made the climb a bit more challenging. Majestic views. and great company made this a wonderful day. Would deffinately do it again.
A nice place to pick up a drink or trail mix at the top of Cadillac Mountain. Whether you make the trek by foot up one of the hiking paths or just drive up on the well maintained road, it is worth a stop when youre on MDI.
Neat little gift shop you can check out after you get to the top of Cadillac Mt. and check out the views
Nice place to stop in after walking the summit trail. Very eco-friendly shop with friendly and knowledgeable staff. Has all the usual doodads youd expect in a tourist gift shop and other, more useful, items in case the weather turns and youre unprepared.
Standard gift shop, gift shop prices. Can purchase drinks here. Staff friendly and helpful.
Very nice store. Prices a little higg on sime items .The staff were very plesant and helpful.
Not bad for being on top of a mountain. Hike up if you can rather than drive. Youll appreciate it so much more and you can get a cold drink or popsicle at the gift shop.
The gift shop at Cadillac Mountain is located at a great spot. Youll have a great view over the area. The gift shop has public toilets and sells park permits.
Unique Maine memorabilia, prices are a bit high. Its a small shop so its kinda cramped and staff can get flustered when there is a crowed. Still worth a stop if your on the Mt.
Its a national park gift shop.
It was extremely hot in the gift shop. Bought a fresh shirts & hats after relaxing on the mountain taking photos & relaxing
This was a nice store, if youre looking for some souvenirs as gifts or for yourself. I did not make a purchase here but it was a nice neat little store.
Typical gift shop but eco friendly. Good range of quality souvenirs and t-shirts
Everything you could need relating to Acadia gifts.
Cramped with too many people. I havent liked the merchandise selection at almost any gift shop near Acadia.
Great selection of souvenirs to remember your trip!
