Needed real Italian bread for dinner with the in-laws. Grabbed lunch too. The meatball subs, with homemade mozzarella, were huge (2 of us could have shared it.) The eggplant was tender on the eggplant sub. Lots of goodies, wine, pasta. Definitely a new favorite spot.

I LOVE their Italian cold cuts! They use truly authentic Italian meats and cheeses on real, freshly baked Italian bread, whereas many other sub shops use garbage like bologna on white bread or potato rolls or whatnot.This is how this sandwich is SUPPOSED to taste!!

Make sure you are there early, or you wont be served. Dont come at 4:50 PM expecting to buy food. You will be asked to come back another day. I did come back another day, and the food was actually worth the wait. Service was ok the 2nd time and 3rd time, but the sandwiches/ fresh ingredients earned them the stars. Again, get there early and plan ahead.

Drove from Harford county to the Harford Rd location only to be shushed out of the store by one of the rudest people I have encountered during this pandemic. This employee (man) told us they were servicing customer pickup orders only and didnt we see the sign outside. He went on and on about how you are keeping your employees safe. He said we needed to order online first. Nowhere on your website does it say that. If that is the case you should lock the door and after knocking should you allow customers to enter who have an order to pick up.There were three of us plus 2 other ladies who also were there to shop. He was so rude all 5 of us left.We are all mindful of how Covid has changed our lives and the stress it has caused. But good food of all things, at least in my life, is what I look forward to hence the reason I traveled so far to your store.I have just one suggestion...teach your employees some customer service skills.

Just ran in ( mask on), for the first time after living in the neighborhood for about two years. Place smells absolutely amazing. Ordered an old school Italian and grabbed a bottle of wine. Sandwich is hitting the spot, perfect amount of olive spread and meat..bread is crunchy and soft... just yummy. Staff was cool, and chill even when reminding another customer to go get a mask, and to call in orders. Would definitely recommend and support this local business.

One of the best delis in Baltimore. I have been a customer since 1981. We travel from Glen Burnie to Parkville for fresh sausages, sandwiches and other Italian delights once a month.It is incredible.

They charged me $9 for for frozen meatballs and some sauce they poured out of a can worst experience of my life I will show you pictures before I throw it away I also got a cold cut was equivalent to a blony and cheese sandwich

A absolute gem! If you need an Italian deli fix go straight here. All the food Ive tried has been solid, the Expresso is absolutely on point!!!! Probably the best Ive had in this side of the pond. If you go there you owe it to yourself to get a double expresso, and enjoy it while they make your sandwich. The crema in that expresso is perfect!!

Fantastic meatball sandwhich and customer service

While riding in the Baltimore area, we got hungry and decided to look for some local italian food place.Mastellone came up, and when we saw homemade mozzarella we were SOLD!We ordered the sausage and pepperoni calzone. It was good. You cannot argue that they use quality ingredients, and that it was made to order, hot and fresh. The only reason I do not give them 5 stars is because I was dissapointed with the missing cheese. You expect that a place that makes their own mozzarella will showcase it as one of the star ingredients in the calzone, right? It was not. You could barely find the cheese in mine.But will definitely give Mastellone another try, the next time Im in the area, because the staff was very nice, polite, and helpful. I may try one of their hot subs next time...

I had a veggie sub with tuna and like the guy making my sub said, it was the best sub Ive had! Fresh bread and fresh toppings and they also sell my childhood favorite...rainbow cookies.

As someone born and raised in New Jersey, I find it extremely difficult to find a great sandwich down here. Mastellones nails it in every way. The atmosphere is exactly what you want in an Italian deli, the bread is amazing, the meats are great, and people are nice. Cant go wrong with anything there.

They have an excellent selection of Italian wine there. It was the only shop in town where I could find a particular bottle Id had. I rarely leave without a sub for lunch, some marinara and a bottle of wine for dinner. I love places like this.

Mastellones is the quintessential Italian deli. I have been going to this location since I was a child (more than 50 years). The guys are great. The fresh foods are delicious and the range of products available are fantastic. Cannoli filling is old school with citron and chocolate chips and not loaded with powder sugar. Highly recommend them.

Today I bought a pitted olive mix, roasted peppers, frozen pizza dough, a loaf of the best Italian bread in NE Baltimore, and Italian oregano and purple basil seeds. I could have had frozen ravioli, wine, Italian cookies, a ball of homemade mozarella, and a meatball sub too. If you need Italian food/drink, Mastellone Deli is the place to go.
