My wife is from Russia. When she walks into this market, she is filled with happiness. They offer a wide variety of Russian foods including fresh, frozen, and canned.This market will be intimidating to most Americans. If you are looking for American foods, this is not the place to be. That being said, it does offer the Russian experience in both service and food selection.As a non-Russian speaker, I have always been asked if I needed assistance and treated kindly. I simply point to my wife and they realize that I am her American.As a culture note to Americans that may be reading this: In Russia, It is considered bad customer service to be friendly by American standards. They will be polite and answer your business related questions, but are unlikely to chat.I would like to recognize the young girl that slices and prepares the bread. She is especially helpful and kind to us non-Russians.Wife says the food is fresh and prices are low compared to similar markets.

Great Russian grocery store! The associates are very nice and friendly. The store is quite small, but has a lot to offer. Great variety, and prices are very moderate.

Not a bad choice of products but I got spoiled food quite a few times. The main problem is when you ask them if its fresh, they never say when its not. So instead, I ask when it was prepared. I only buy it when it was made today.Another problem is that the employees are often grouchy.After asking when the food was prepared (some was from today, some was from yesterday), the woman gets visibly annoyed and snaps You already asked it twice! Yeah, I did, about different food that was prepared at different times. Logical reasoning should not be expected there.Im always polite and even then, I can get irritated looks. People who are demanding should not use this store. I witnessed a huge scandal a few times when an employee lost it with a rude customer.There is another Russian deli store where employees are always friendly, but its a longer drive from me. Actually, there are 5 Russian delis along the Reisterstown Rd, and the nicest one is the farthest.

Russian delicious food!

Always fun to shop here for central and eastern European delights! I can buy a bucket of Korean carrots here! Russian chocolates are top notch in quality and creativity. Really good Lithuanian bread among other breads are offered in the far back - dont miss them - can be sliced for you if so desired. Great cheese and salami selection- love the one from Finland! We buy big since we live far away in Harford county, and it appears that big purchasers receive a box of Russian chocolates- the variety is always changing

Terrible attitude, very ignorant people working there, they will literally roll their eyes on you, unprofessional people, very disappointed, going there gave me anxiety and panic, Terrible place

This is my favorite mid-size store around Baltimore. I can find several favorite kinds of Russian food there. The borscht and kvass are gorgeous, so are the sausages, especially the smoky tenderloin sausage (Sorry that I dont know its actual name.).Almost all East Europe food store I visited in this region provide high-quality food and service, but this one is at the most convenient location for me. BTW, the wine store next to it has lots of exotic East Europe drinks.

Horrible service, very rude. 15 minutes prior to closing I was told that they were already closed, and I couldnt buy anything and had to leave, even though the front door was open and they were supposed to be open for another 15 minutes.

Customer service is at its worst, very rude staff. Wrong hours published on google, stopped by a few times to find the store closed, and one time was turned away even though it was more than 10 minutes before officially being closed.

Not a big place, but has lots of Ukrainian and russian food. Olivie salad was tasty. And they had great cherry dumplings!

This is my grocery store!! The staff remembers regulars from the neighborhood and always says welcome back.

Food is great, but service from the deli can be slow. A few times I needed 6-7 items, there would be 4 people behind the counter but only 1 helping me with one item at a time (and no other customers at the deli). The other 3 would be chatting among themselves. Thank you for opportunity to buy Russian Food in Baltimore. Now if you could only borrow some American efficiency, this place would be amazing. Checkout experience is good; my only minor complaint is with deli/prepared food service.

Very nice grocery store. If you are looking for foreign delicacies, Russian in particular but many others, thats the place to be. If you are a Jew, be forewarned: most of the food is not kosher.

Really nice place! Clean and spacious with an interesting selection - including an assortment of fresh-baked breads along with the baker who made them, right there ready to slice loaves, on request! I am a beginning Russian speaker and the store staff were not only helpful with merchandise, but also with my attempts at using my new skills! I will definitely go again!

Theres fresh fruits and veggies and packaged goods from all over Europe, but the real draw is the deli counter. As soon as you walk in, youll smell that the staff has been cooking all kinds of Russian specialties. I speak no Russian and have no idea what a lot of the stuff is, but I try different things every time Im here and I havent been disappointed yet. Theres SO.MANY.KINDS.OF.SAUSAGES!!! And smoked fish. And amazing, freshly baked bread. And its cheap. Youll get provolone or mozzarella for $3-4 per lb. The selection of European chocolates and sweets is extensive. Only place Ive ever been able to find Kinder Sopresa. Youll hear a lot of Russian spoken here. The staff can be a bit indifferent or rude at times but that may be because I have no idea what anything is and spend way too long looking up products. Just pay them a visit, its worth it.

This is a very interesting place with lots of delicious choices, from deli meats to dessert creations. It has a deli, a prepared food section, a bakery (bread), as well as a small selection of pastries. We go for the deli, and for the smoked fish. There is a language barrier, but everyone is polite and helpful.

My favorite Russian and European store in the area! Doesnt compare to any other ones even in DC. Amazing deli with fresh out of oven pies, homemade meals, great selection in frozen section. The only place I could find fresh homemade farmers cheese! I dont leave without a cart full of goodies every time!

It is written that they work until 8:00 but they close at 6:50. They even respond roughly to clients. I do not think that I will come to this store again and do not recommend it to others.

I went on a culinary adventure! I normally buy all of my fruits and vegetables from any nearby international market, so since I was in the area I stopped by here. It isnt exactly international, its primarily Eastern European but I was able to find some unique (to me) teas and preserves. I wanted to try something from the prepared food section, so I asked the woman behind the counter what her favorites were. She didnt understand my question so she asked a customer to translate. I got what the customer suggested as well as a few things the woman behind the counter suggested once she understood what I wanted. I also purchased some fresh fruits and vegetables and, of course, Turkish Delight! This isnt a large market but they have a huge selection of items packed into a relatively small space.

Sick(literally) and tired of expired products! I’ve been asking about products and they used to be honest at least when you ask, now they lie straight to your face that the products are fresh! Done with this store! Disgusting!

Good variety of Russian food. Good cakes and bread there. But! Check for date of expiration on everything. I bought stuff there once and it was covered with sticker, once I pulled it I could see the real expiration date that passed already. However, biggest problem here is the attitude of deli ladies who serving customers with a sour face. Once while I was standing in the line two of them keep talking and wasnt even going to serve a guy in front of me. Once they knew he doesnt speak Russian language one of them said to the other one dont worry, he will wait. Its just very ignorant and stupid to act like this in front of customers, so disrespectful. Other time cashier was packing our groceries to bags so nicely that after coming home one glass jar was broken. So they have to work on service big time. Too bad there is not so many stores with Russian goods in Baltimore, so there is jot much choice where to go.

Good selection of authentic foods, lots of stuff that is hard to find. Do be aware -- there is a second russian grocery within walking distance, so check them bith out.Expect to point and gesture to communicate if you dont speak Russian. Customer service could be better -- try to find someone interested in helping you, not all the employees are willing to put up with non Russian speakers. Many are perfectly friendly (one even snuck us an extra candy bar!) but the language barrier can be tough. Still, worth it for the delicious meats!
