We went to this local grocer out of curiosity and were pleasantly surprised! Inside is way nicer than outside appears!! Fabulous selection, kind employees, and fresh food make this a must-go. GREAT PRICES, MORE REASONABLE THAN GIANT & SAFEWAY

Smallish store with mostly reasonable prices. Their Hebrew National jumbo pack hot dogs were $7.99 compared to Giant at $10.99. Bi Rites Oreos were $4 something compared to Giants $3 something. Theres not a lot of brand selection (but then again, it is a small store). They do have a large to-go section. The food here is delicious. Try the curry chicken salad. I blew my food budget here and it was worth it. Staff was especially pleasant and helpful.One bit of advice: hang on to your receipt and make absolutely sure you have all your items. Be SURE to look behind the counter. I was missing an item. Went back to the store to retrieve it. I couldnt believe the song and dance I had to go through. Turns out they didnt want to return it to me because as the manager said we GAVE it to someone else Bizarre.

This market is permanently closed as of Jan 17, 2021. They had the best hot food section and cold cuts. I ordered my Christmas dinner and all of the food was delicious. Sorry to see them shut down

They have great bargains. The store is clean and no fishy odor at the seafood counter. Staff are always helpful. Love shopping there.

Ive been coming to this place for a year and a half(2019-2020). Up til now, my shrimp have been awesone. Lately, my steamed shrimp have either been over cooked or undercooked. The people in the area have changed, some seem to think its their choice to tell you what you want instead of you the (customer) saying what you want. I think its time I go elsewhere for my steamed seafood. Dont get it wrong, most people here have made me forget Im even in the city when I shop there. But, some changes arent always good. You might want to think about that Store Owner and Management. Food for thought. Still most of your employees are great at what they do.

Used to have good prices before Corona 19

Ive been shopping at Bi-Rite for YEARS. When I heard the news of its closing, it felt like a deep loss. So sad to see it leave the Baltimore area. The storemade spaghetti salad and greek salad was by far a few of my favs. I loved tht it was a small, quaint, family owned market since I am a country girl from rural Virginia. Thts was I was used to growing up there. May God bless the owners in their difficult decision to close and all of the dedicated employees over the years. Gods Speed to you ALL!!!!!

I went there today. I was looking for fresh fish, found it. They had steak fish $6.99 lb I bought some and they were good and fresh.

The isles are too small for the number of people that patronize the store. However, Bi-Rite sells the largest subs in the city. They are excellent.

A great grocery store well organized large selection. The employees at this location are kind and knowledgeful about what products they have and where there are located. They have fresh beef and pork with butcher on premises who is skilled in his trade he is willing to help you select meat and steer you in the right direction with selection. Tje also have seafood witch i do not eat or knowledgeful to say is there selection is vase or not and dont know how to spot good seafood but the butcher can and will help you woth your selection The deli has a wide selection of meats n cheeses. They are fast patient and knowledgeful on the selection. All in all the store is clean employees curtious . cashier are fast and patient at check out lines are normally short and fast moving. This is one of my favorite stores.

Great store but crazy when crowded. Wonderful all other times. Never go on game day! Good food and prices. Watch the dates on perishables and beware if the price isnt listed. Cant price check at register and will have to void item holding up the line. A lot of delays due to customers having issues with their food stamps (not the stores fault)

Been going here since I was a kid (over 40 years). Love this place. A little small on space, the aisles are very narrow but just stick to the right (like driving a car) and everything is cool. Also, youll always find excellent prices on most everything.

The prices are good. Clean Market. However, they have the most nastiest cashiers that Ive ever encountered! Snobby attitudes towards customers, but chatty and friendly with coworkers. The owner should get a new set of cashiers, and let these young girls go since they cant appreciate being employed!

My wife and I went in for their infamous cold cut sandwiches that people have been raving about. The young lady in the Deli named Candace was great. She gave so much positive attitude and personality and she prepared our food as if she was making her own which is unheard of in a grocery store or fast food establishment.

One of my favorite little markets to visit. Great prices, fresh deli, meats and seafood. Not alot of variety but good selections for the basics.

I love my local market. Excellent deals on deli, fresh breads and seafood. Its a place where the employees learn you by name. Check out the homemade shrimp salad and the Italian cold it lunch special. I noticed though my sub was considerably lighter than before 🤷🏾‍♂️

Love shopping here. Prices are great, nice deli and the staff are so friendly. Feels like a big reunion when you shop. They also have a bakery for cakes pies and breads. I love the cakes, not too sweet on the frosting.

I finally tried the cold cut sandwich from here that everyone is talking about. It was good, big enough for two people.

Not what it use to be. Products are under wrong labels. Most cashiers act like they are doing you a favor. Left there yesterday saying I need to start shopping else where.

The prices arent bad. The seafood and the hot food bar are very good. The subs are made so fat and delicious i have to say.

We have been shopping at Bel-Garden Bi-Rite for almost 50 years the store is clean, good prices, nice little local grocery store with a nice bakery and a fresh seafood counter and they will steam the shrimp for you. I could not be happier tonight 1-17-2019 Thursday night with a snow even coming this weekend. The store had at least 6 cashiers open it only took 10 minutes to start our check out love the store and staff.

The prices are very convenient. You can get the same brand name items as you get from the big chain markets but with good deals discounted prices all the time. The deli, and seafood counters are awesome! I highly recommend this market.

Is the closest market to home and a great run to spot. The deli has great prices and a great selection of cold cuts. The bakery is fantastic and home made. The strawberry short cake is just amazing. The seafood area is robust. The selections are limited but good. The produce area has recently had an overhaul, still, look closely at what you buy. Fruits n veggies not always the freshest. I have gotten fruit with rotted areas on more than 1 occasion. Check closely for mush holes.

Shop accordingly. The prices are very high. I advise you to only buy whats on sale or Id you think you can get a bargain.

I like this place for the most part. Its not whole foods but, they have good sales most weeks. Extremely affordable so, if youre using EBT, youll get the most bang for your buck here. I would advise to not expect much from the deli, seafood and some items in produce. Id also like to mention that the store management is awesome. It was on my heart to feed the homeless out of my own pocket completely. They allowed me to purchase items after the sale was over in large quantities. They were very accommodating on more than one occasion. I will always send people here and patronize as much as I possibly can. I bet Giant doesnt do things like that...community store for the community! P.S. Customer appreciation weeks are amazing. Summer offers grilled hot dogs and chips and sometimes activities for kids. Check the ads. You cant beat that!!!

I love their deli sandwiches. Their pastries are pretty good too especially the ones with coconut.

Decent inner city Supermarket. Decent prices, but check the dates on everything, especially meats and dairy. Alot of these types of markets buy close outs and cancelled items from the big chains/distributors and theyre perfectly safe, but its usually closer to the expiration dates than the big stores carry and Ive seen cracker barrel cheese on sale for $1.99 that was 4 months past the expiration date. Canned and package goods can be good years past expiration dates, but dairy and meat are different story

Always have Great sales on meats.

When Bi-Rite has a sale you better believe its usually awesome, however it can be a bit smelly upon arrival. Maybe because the meat/deli/seafood area is close to the door. It has a bad smell thats hard to get through but the $$$ you save sometimes makes it all worth it!
