AutoStream is obviously a customer first, forward thinking auto shop. Came here after Monro changed hands and lost quality (was a loyal, long time customer before that). A large driver of my high praise review is the online detailed list of your cars noted issues, images included, that you then have the decision power over what to address and what can wait until later (The team also gave advice on these decisions). Likely not the cheapest place to get maintenance done, the quality of care seems worthwhile to a first time customer (also plenty of coupons and incentives available to the public that are happily accepted).I plan to be returning with enthusiasm to AutoStream Hampden and look forward to taking advantage of all their offerings.

Recently visited AutoStream Car Care in Hampden again for an inspection and maintenance on a used car I recently got, and they did not disappoint! They remain the most professional, caring, and diligent mechanics I have ever been to.If, like me, you do not have much background in car maintenance it can be really frightening and frustrating when youre forced to trust mechanics to treat you fairly and do good work. Well good news, these guys can be your final stop. Their inspection service explains the use and importance of every item of maintenance they recommend, and the staff is patience and knowledgeable. I cant recommend this place enough, I know I wont be going elsewhere.Oh, bonus points: they have a shuttle to take you home after youve dropped off your car.

One of the best independent automotive repair shops Ive used. The mechanics have always been fast and accurate at diagnosing problems, and the service is dependably excellent. I especially appreciate the photographs they include in their reports: it helps me decide what work needs to be done urgently and what can wait. I took my Jeep in for its 100,000 mile inspection last week and, as I wanted it done right, I took it to the place with the reputation for doing it right. It is one thing to skimp on smaller items but I considered this to be an opportunity to really address everything that needed to be addressed. AutoStream was comprehensive and thorough, and backed up its recommendations with a detailed report with photographs of trouble spots. The work they did was top-notch. I recommend this place.

We had used Brentwood Auto at this location over many years and for various vehicles. Rest assured, the new ownership and crew are friendly, quick and professional. I got a very detailed inspection report with photos of my vehicle’s parts and problems. Turn around time for an after hours drop off and everything I needed was quick. After hours pick up with automated safe key drop is so convenient! So glad I still have a dependable shop so close to home. Did I mention, “Hey! Had my car towed to the Hampden location after I could no longer start it. No prior appt or experience with them, they just happened to be the closest shop in the area. They gave the most detailed diagnostic I have ever received from any other shop. And Ive had multiple done this year. Even with all the problems that my car has, they didnt push or pry to hurry and take my money. They gave me the info I needed to make an informed decision about repairs on the car.I dealt mainly with Stu and David, who were both great. Extra special thanks to David who helped me after hours when my vehicle crapped out on me again. I would highly recommend.

But after quite a few years of going here, I got an unusually high quote for work on my older car that, once investigated, was close to twice as much as two other estimates and general inquiries on forums for the work on my particular car. If you want the white glove treatment and dont mind paying dearly for it, this is your place.If you have an older car that maybe you just want to keep running and want a creative mechanic who will make that work in a budget-friendly way --- Id search elsewhere...

From the moment my wife and I dropped off our car to see what was wrong with it, these guys were top notch. Came in for state inspection on my recently purchased vehicle.Stu (sorry if I misspelled it) got me in and out quickly and with no hiccups. My car didnt pass inspection first go around, which was expected, but they got me up to code and ready to go in a day. They even got the repairs done earlier than they quoted me for! I definitely plan to come back for the minor things I know still need work. Considering the service, Ill probably become a regular here!

I went in without an appointment. They said it might be a few days before they could look at it since they were booked, but they managed to do a diagnostic on the same day. The report came back with photos of needed repairs and a rating system of Urgent to Regular maintenance items. After having time to review the report on my own, I conferenced the team to determine a plan that fit my budget. I needed major repairs which were completed within two days of bringing the car in. In short, I was impressed with the professionalism of the staff, the detailed description with photos of needed repairs, and the quality of the work.

Wasnt too happy with my recent experiences with AutoStream. Called and scheduled an appointment a few days in advance. Dropped my car off the night before so they could start on it in the morning. At 3pm that day, they call to say they cant get to it that day. I bring the car back the following week and the report was thorough but a few items were listed based on mileage but not actual examination. One being an air filter that I literally replaced myself the day before I dropped off. This made me a little reluctant to believe all the items on the list were actual concerns. Anyway, the makeup appointment was scheduled but they didnt have parts and had to keep my car over the weekend. I pick up the car to find a new rattling sound that was not there previously. So the following week, I made another appointment to check off another concerning item on my list and to have them check the new rattling. Once again, I made the appointment but the parts werent there and wanted to keep the car over the weekend. They mentioned test-driving the car and hearing no rattling. I knew this was a lie because its quite obvious when you ride over the slightest bump. I have to bring the car back once again after the parts arrived and it comes to find out that the parts were defective and I shouldnt have been driving the car! The employees are professional but I think they cover up a lot of chaos that happens in the actual garage. I had taken my car here for a couple years when it was Brentwood, but seems the new place is not the same and I dont intend on going back. I wasnt going to leave a review, but they asked me to.

This place is sort of amazing. I took my car in for an ongoing engine issue, and Stu got to work and had the car fixed in record time. Throughout the process, he called with updates and explained what was going on with the car. Honestly, I didnt think the problem could be fixed (took it numerous other places); but, a couple of days later, it was working better than ever and ready to go. I highly recommend this place!!! The first time I brought my new car in here for an oil change, they wouldnt let me pay for an oil change I didnt need (car was too new, not enough miles on it), which I really appreciated. Just got an oil change done (needed this time!) plus routine maintenance, and everything went great.

I had a quick visit here to replace an uncommon sized wiper blade. Dave tried so hard to find one in stock that would fit my vehicle. I ended up having to wait for them to have one delivered but Dave and Stu made my wait effortless. They had many suggestions for great places to eat and even drove me there!

I knew this place was shady when the person in line in front of me accepted their offer of a $70 inspection. When I declined it, they were happy to offer it free of charge… After my oil change, they “found” $2300 of repairs and maintenance. I called another mechanic who said, “I’ve never even heard of a Prius needing that, and certainly not at 60k miles. Are you sure?”I took the car to the second mechanic who confirmed that none of the repairs were needed and the maintenance wasn’t required for at least another 40k miles.When I picked it up from them, the technician poked his head from the back and asked “are you coming from the Autostream in hampden? You’re the third person this week coming from them with a long list of stuff they said was wrong!”

Ive taken my car to Brentwood a number of times and always received excellent service. When a large plastic bag got caught on and wrapped around my drive shaft, they removed it on the spot, no appointment and at no additional charge. Friendly, efficient, professional, courteous. Highly recommend!

Friendly, responsive, and on-time! I called and got an inspection appointment within a couple of days. They offered early drop-off and an accurate window time for my inspection. The best part is the pick-up and drop-off service offered by their driver, which completely removed the concern for having to bother someone to pick me up or pay for an uber. Called in for an estimate for tires for my 2011 Honda CR-V. The tire quote was reasonable, but I also wanted to know how much lower control arms would cost. Stu (who was very professional) ensured me that my vehicle should be looked over and given a complete check over for my vehicle for only $70! He also said that if control arms would be needed, they would be have a lifetime warranty! That is amazing and I will be in very soon.

I have been having my car serviced by Brentwood now Autostream over the past several years and truly impressed with their overall upgrades with everything and continue to be very reliable in addressing my car issues. Just recently my car had a major issue and I was within a few blocks from the shop. I was able to bring my car in right away and the guys immediately jumped in to diagnose the problem. I received an email with pictures of the problem areas and recommendations (very nice upgraded feature). Although the car could not be ready that particular day, they offered a loaner vehicle which has been upgraded from the vehicles they had in the past. I was very pleased with the service and will continue to have my car serviced by Autostream. They are very professional and very reliable and very impressed with there new level of service.

This was my first time to use Brentwood for service--my car was no longer under warranty. I had an engine malfunction warning light. Brentwood managed to squeeze me into their tight schedule and correct my problem. I appreciate their extra effort to help me out as well as their excellent service.

Took my car in to diagnose a suspension clunk and a rattle, both easily repeatable. They gave me no diagnosis, just said well the clunk rarely happens and we dont know (the clunk happens just about anytime you pull into a parking lot, or go over uneven pavement) and they also told me the rattle that I hear over every single bump doesnt exist, even though Ive recorded it and multiple passengers have commented on it. So I paid 70$ for someone to give me a more useless diagnosis than I gave them to start with.Cant recommend staying away enough, they wont even try to fix anything, just take your money.Edit: As said, multiple people have heard the noise, and I have recorded it, not a phantom noise. Telling your customers they dont hear a noise that does exist and is documented is a very strange way to do business. Further proof of their extreme lack of professionalism.

The employees at AutoStream Car Care - Brentwood on 41st street are true professionals. I took my car in for an oil change and check engine light diagnostic. They let me know exactly what the issues were and the cost. They also let me know that my brakes and spark plugs will need to be changes in the near future, but not just yet. I took my car in on a Friday afternoon and they let me know the estimated cost of parts and labor within 2-3 hours. They needed to order a part and were able to give me a loaner vehicle for the weekend. My car is running great and I have the knowledge of upcoming services that may potentially be required in the next 3-9 months.My girlfriend and I had previously used them for oil changes and tire changes and were impressed with their professionalism and efficiency then as well. Overall a hardworking, trustworthy, considerate 5 star team.Ask them about their rewards system too. Repeat customers can build up points to help pay for their services. This place does great work and can be reliable. They fixed my tire quickly in a last-minute situation a while back, which was great. A few weeks ago I made an appointment for 2pm on a Friday, but when I showed up, they were not sure if they could get to it that day. Basically canceled my appointment with no notice once I showed up. As a single-car-family, we will likely choose another more reliable car service option.

They were thorough with their repairs and even took the extra time to make sure the issues I was having hadnt spread to other parts of the car. Fred and Stu were extremely helpful when I brought in my old beater G35X to confirm whether Firestone had done a good job. Freds team spent a couple hours checking it very thoroughly and found a couple mistakes on Firestones part.Its rare for you to find a trusted mechanic but when you do theyre worth their weight in gold.Highly recommend this business.

I’ve been to Brentwood Automotive multiple times. I went a few days ago for my tires. I called them and they were able to get me in the same day. I dropped off my car, they told me upfront what I can expect in terms of costs and variables associated to different situations. Within four hours I had a call that my car was read to be picked up. Always greeted and taken care of by the most polite of staff (Stew is the man)! Never have an issue getting my car in when I need to and always pick it up in a timely manner. The most important is the work never needs repeated and price always seems reasonable and makes sense for the issue(s) found unlike some dealerships in the area. Bummed I had a $25 reward I forgot to use but know Ill be able to apply that towards something else in the future.I enjoy this shop has a rewards program now and can assist with roadside assistance if need be. Ill continue in bringing my car here when possible.
